I ordered two burgers with fries. The delivery was quick and uncomplicated. The food is good quality, but unfortunately, the burgers were completely missing any sauce. I don't know if this is intentional, but a little sauce on the burgers would have been better, as the food itself definitely undermines the taste. The fries are very good. The size of the burgers is also good. Please make a delicious homemade sauce, otherwise you're wasting your potential. 👍

I used to love going there. Now it's just garbage. The waitress makes one mistake after another and then gets rude. At the next table, she simply tried to add a tip to her own menu, but luckily the other guest noticed. I'm not going there anymore.

On our way back from Scandinavia to the Netherlands, we stopped here for the perfect lunch. If you have lunch here, you're guaranteed to have the best burgers in Hamburg! The meal was generous and delicious. The hostess was very attentive. We'll definitely be back.

We were on a short trip to Hamburg and had already researched burger restaurants beforehand. We chose OLD McDonald's... and we were not disappointed. Beautifully located, lovely atmosphere, and very, very friendly staff. Nothing was left to be desired. The food was excellent, portions were very generous. Children were catered for. We felt very comfortable, almost as if we were visiting friends. Highly recommended.

You should reserve tables, as a football match was broadcast there. It should be known for that. The ambiance is great. The staff is very friendly and quick.

Since a lot of football is watched here, I was never really inclined to come here for dinner, but there are hardly any good burger joints in Eimsbüttel – and when I did, the food was absolutely amazing! And the service, too, was fantastic!

I thought the food was okay, but nothing more. The fries were soggy. The bacon cheeseburger was nothing special; I found it a bit bland and the bun too sweet. The pulled pork tasted kind of artificial to me, which I didn't like at all. Overall, I felt the food was too expensive for what you get.

Great place, great food, great service! We stopped by Old McDonald's for drinks and something to eat before the Ed Sheeran concert. We were treated very well by the waitress, Antonia (Mamacita). Antonia was on the ball and took care of our every need; she even called us a taxi to the concert! The food was also very good! Each of the four of us brought a burger. Despite our special requests, everything worked out, and the food arrived quickly and deliciously! To drink, there was delicious draft beer, and afterwards, cocktails during happy hour! I've rarely had such a good mojito! Old McDonald's is definitely on my list for my next visit to Hamburg! I hope Antonia is still serving!

By chance we had the honor of discovering Old McDonald's with its cuisine, pleasant atmosphere, and the super-friendly Antonia in service. We felt welcome from the very beginning. The food was delicious, the drinks, such as cocktails and handmade iced tea, were excellent, and the selection of drinks on offer was also superb. Hats off and a huge compliment to Antonina, who looked after us with her cool attitude, including ordering a taxi. Such warm-hearted people are rare, and I've never before said goodbye with a hug after a visit. So, dear management, be incredibly proud of your Antonia and, of course, of your lovely restaurant. Keep up the good work.

Large portions, plenty of side dishes, and friendly service. The burger had a rotten lettuce leaf on it, and the patty was very dry. The mayonnaise was already a bit stale. We sat outside, and the service was far too infrequent. We wanted to order something else, but after a while we went inside to pay. The value for money isn't right; it's too expensive. Despite mentioning the issues, there was no apology, and therefore no tip.

Ordered two cheeseburgers online from Wolt. They came with just a patty and cheese. No sauce, no salad, or anything else. The bread was extremely sweet, the meat was juicy and of good quality. The fries were fresh and crispy. Still, I wouldn't order again.

Quaint restaurant with delicious burgers and other dishes. The burgers that my family and I had (125g patty each) tasted delicious. The side dishes (fries and cole slaw) were also delicious.

Craziness, Our first evening in Hamburg. Was a chance find. Haven't regretted it xd. We were able to choose a place in peace. The service boss came quickly. Very friendly and accommodating. This is how it should always be. Lady was very personable. Please stay as you are. They're cool We are really excited about the food. Everyone ordered a burger. Of course, add garlic bread too. Portions are sufficient and taste really delicious. The Broich Buns in particular are a dream... The sauces are also good. We also had a cocktail and a whiskey. Cocktail (Pina Colada) really good. Far too expensive, and the patty was completely fried and tasted like a sole. definitely not one of Hamburg's top addresses for burgers

Very satisfied, we watched the top Bundesliga game at Old Mac Donald and were also very impressed with the food and service!

Unfortunately the burger patties were very salty.

First the good: The service was attentive and very friendly and the atmosphere is that of a normal sports bar. The fries and coleslow absolutely suited our taste. However, the burger was too greasy and tasted too bland for our taste. The burger bun was too thick and dry and I find the question of whether we would also like onions and tomatoes strange with a double cheese, but that's certainly debatable. We didn't like the double cheese and didn't finish it. But the selection of drinks is absolutely great. An absolute plus is the organic beef for the patties!!! Since you can argue about taste and there are completely different reviews here, everyone should try it out for themselves.

A very friendly, young waiter busily ran the entire place. The food was okay. Unfortunately the temperature in the store was a bit too low, so it was a bit uncomfortable. Overall, a nice neighborhood restaurant whose decor seems to be past its prime.

One of the worst burgers I've ever eaten.

We were there 10 minutes before the kitchen closed, were still hungry after our musical visit and ordered two club sandwiches to take away. Even though we drove for another hour and of course they were cold, they tasted incredibly good. We've definitely bookmarked the shop for our next trip to Hamburg and then we'll try the ribs. The entire staff present was also super friendly. The only thing that unfortunately, at least we didn't like, was the coleslaw. We would definitely recommend adding more pepper and salt and a little yogurt. Gives the whole thing something smooth ☺️ Unfortunately it was just too sweet, as if there was sugar instead of salt. But that won't stop us from visiting the restaurant again and definitely recommend it to others.

Die Burger im Old MacDonald American Diner sind die besten in Hamburg – frisch, saftig und voller Geschmack. Die Getränke werden schnell serviert und sind ebenso ein Genuss. Ein rundum tolles Erlebnis!

For me the best burger in Hamburg. The taste quality of the patty with the interaction of the rest of the burger is unparalleled. Simply a really great burger without a lot of frills and without any truffle stories. The fries and ketchup and mayo also stand out from the average. The homemade iced tea also tastes just great!

Frozen Food and Sports I was excited to try this burger joint, but my experience was far from satisfying. The burgers were a major let-down, with the meat tasting bland and processed. It felt like I was eating a frozen patty that had been microwaved. The toppings were also underwhelming, adding little to the overall flavor. While the atmosphere was casual and the sports were a nice touch, it's clear that this place prioritizes entertainment over quality food. If you're looking for a satisfying meal, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Zum Fussball hier gewesen, dafür ist die Location unerreicht und einfach spitze, dafür reise ich auch aus dem tiefen HH Westen an. Dafür, und weil es ein sehr gepflegtes 0,4 Köpi gibt, im Grunde alles gut. Wofür der Laden aber eigentlich steht, seine Burger, da muss ich sagen: sehr durchschnittlich, weit von lecker oder sogar einer Geschmacks-Explosion entfernt, eher enttäuschend und noch was: das was man neben Ketchup dazu bekommt, vermutlich Mayonnaise ... sorry, was soll das sein, das war weder als M zu identifizieren noch zu essen, voll daneben der Geschmack. Da schmeckt jede ALDI-Mayonnaise besser.

I wouldn't come here to watch games live. The connection breaks down regularly and at some point the television was completely turned off. Probably not the first time it has happened. Watching sports is a disaster. The internet is extremely bad which leads to constant stream interruptions.

Delicious food. Son ate the large hamburger and loved it. Even if you don't like burgers, you can still eat well here. Cozy atmosphere, friendly, helpful and good English-speaking service. When he heard our German bumbling he immediately switched to English. Just like we do in the Netherlands. When we left we saw a well-attended exchange house across the street with, among other things, many books. I really enjoyed seeing this because I manage a mini library myself.

Staff are chronically overwhelmed, forget orders and then arrive late. Unfortunately this is not an isolated case, we heard the same thing from other tables (several times). We made a reservation and then they said you weren't allowed to sit there because otherwise they wouldn't get through. Seriously, don't put the guests there, your problem and don't discuss it with the customers, you knew how many people were coming and 4 really isn't a lot. Organization is bad, service is bad, and the food is just convenience. Nothing special and you don't have to do it again.

Watching football and having a drink is completely sufficient because the atmosphere is good⚽️🌴! But it's better not to eat, especially the burgers are very dry and that's a no go given the price! The boss makes a nice impression towards the guests, but he doesn't get on well with his employees at all. We were able to see live how he chases the employees around from A to B and then he also asked one of the employees whether he was here to take a walk It's really embarrassing for the guy to leave and then you wonder why no one wants to do this job anymore. It would be better if he reflected on himself, maybe he would learn from it!

We ordered a small and medium cheeseburger while watching a European Championship game. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, the food was brought to us very quickly. Definitely not service oriented. As soon as the place is full, they are completely overwhelmed trying to get the food and drinks to the people at the table correctly/at the same time. As soon as you complain that something went wrong, it is pointed out that it can't be because the system is so great. That's right, people can't make mistakes... The quality of the food also suffers when it is too full. After the discussion with the boss, we will never come back as regular customers. We had a bill of 400 euros and then you shouldn't argue over a beer and a water. When the store is normally busy, everything goes well and the burger is usually a 10/10.

We actually wanted to go back because we noticed that the prices here have risen sharply. When I saw that “The hottest burger in town” was being sold here, our mood changed to joyful anticipation and we ordered. Unfortunately the burger wasn't hot at all and when we asked the waitress we were told that it was just a joke. 🤨 We hadn't experienced that before either. A small highlight was a mouse that ran around under the tables and made the children very happy. For this I would like to give an extra star for Ambiente.

Unfortunately, the prices are far too expensive and have increased immensely. But the dishes have by no means gained in finesse. The restaurant was originally a student restaurant. Although the burgers are of organic quality, the price-performance ratio has unfortunately not been right here for a long time. Even in comparison with other burger restaurants of significantly higher quality, the prices here are rather cheeky and way over the top. It's a shame, but for almost 20€ per normal cheeseburger menu (without a drink!!!), we and our friends would rather go for something more upscale than in this rather below-average ambience with a mass-market feel. Unfortunately, the Old McDonald is no longer an alternative to ordering for a down-to-earth, short snack at a fair price. No recommendation!
