Nick's Southern Fried Chicken & Ribs in Kaiserslautern

The BEST southern fried chicken….🍗 we get a 12 piece split it and eat most of it there. 12 piece runs about 32€ Their spicy is amazing, not too hot but you know it’s there. If you take it to go, they ask that you wait 6 to 7 minutes so they can make a fresh batch for you to take ….that’s great customer service and shows that they care about their end product. I wish there was a chain in the US… thanks Nick’s for giving me my chicken fix far from home for the last three years in Germany 🇩🇪

Very unfriendly service. I arrived with my wife and two small children at 8:15 p.m., wanted to order and eat there, whereupon I was told that at 8:30 p.m. they only do take-away orders, although the restaurant is open until 9 p.m. I pointed out to the employee that it was only 8:15 p.m. and he then started saying something about the cleaning lady. Something like this has never happened to me before, where I had to leave the restaurant with the whole family. Not recommended! Not customer friendly and don't feel like working!

It is best to always check your take-away order immediately upon delivery. I've paid for missing items twice now. However, the ambience and service have now become very good. Keep it up!

Friendly staff. Food typically American. Unfortunately there are no ribs at the moment (actually my reason for coming here). I was told that they would have to charge €4 due to the increased prices. And people don't want to pay for that, which is understandable. But the chicken pieces and the coleslaw were delicious.

An environmental friendly restaurant! Unlike most of the fast food restaurants, this restaurant serves food on ceramic plates with stainless steel cutlery. Zero disposable plates, less waste. The fried chicken was tender, juicy, and tasty. And the coleslaw was definitely on another level! It was really refreshing and delicious. The cabbage in it was shredded into small pieces but still crispy.

A must when in the area. Top notch quality chicken flavour, fried not too salty, coleslaw on point. Nice and comfortable seating area and clear restrooms. Will definitely come back.

The wings were crispy, had tiny kick of spice, and cooked to perfection!

I was there more than 3 decades ago and on October 10th, 2024 I ordered the same thing as about 30 years ago and I can only say one thing about it, great! Consistency is the key to success! Actually 6 stars for that!!!!!!

The food has always been great so far, the waiting times are sometimes absolute horror, and unfortunately the cleanliness in the shop too - came with 9 people, had 2 tables that were still completely filthy with leftover food. Unfortunately, none of the staff came up with the idea of ​​wiping down the tables every now and then. There was also a lot of stuff/leftover food everywhere on the floor and the carts for the dirty dishes were completely overloaded. Unfortunately, the staff seems to be completely overwhelmed at certain times.

Stopped by last night at 8:45 pm...was told only 2-piece box available, even though they close at 9 PM. I'm sorry, but 15 minutes before closing you still need to offer a major portion of your menu. Will not go back!

I bought a takeaway menu today. I ordered normally seasoned particles. I got the hot one. Unfortunately I can't eat them. Mashed potatoes and cabbage salad were delicious. And food was ready quickly. Just the wrong sharpness. Very unfortunate.

Are on Tuesday September 10th. Drove 50km to eat there, we found out on site that the shop was closed for renovation work, even though the shop was shown as "open" online. Absolutely disappointing, because for 3 days you can see online that it is closed due to renovation work. AND: if there are no more ribs you should also update the website.

Yes, we eat fried chicken. This is our place since the 90ties on occasion. Ambiente of course is questionable. They have done what they could do to improve over the last 30 years, so 4 stars.

Awesome fried chicken. Hands down (100 times) better than Popeyes and probably 200 times better than KFC. Gonna go on a limb here and say maybe, just maybe, even better than Bojangles. Great, clean, establishment. Staff was kind and completely attentive. Food was provided quickly and was fresh. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You can choose between different menus, it's a little bit like KFC, although the seets are much outdated, Quality of food is good enough, service is not bad.

I go there on a regular basis. I prefer them over KFC. I love the daily specials. Especially on Tuesday for their hot wings.

Idk what happened. Went there a couple of months ago and chicken was good. This time they severed old food? Chicken tasted odd, like it was old, same with the coleslaw and fries. Husband got stomach issues the next day.

Hallo, ich war heute um 22:15 im Restaurant und habe nichts mehr bekommen, obwohl extra auf der HP steht:“geöffnet bis 23:00 Uhr“… wenn man dann noch eine Fahrt von 50km hinter sich hat und vorher extra nach den Öffnungszeiten gekuckt hat, ist das durchaus unerfreulich…

Seit Jahren konstante, sehr gute Qualität zu günstigen Preisen und um Welten besser als KFC. Freundliches Personal und sehr sauber.

Definitely better than KFC & Co. But... ... I have known the store for over 20 years and unfortunately, the bargain hunter has also come here. The food is losing more and more of the typical "Nick's" taste and hot is now just spicy. There are no ribs anymore and the coleslaw could use more dressing. Nevertheless, the quality is still 1A! Fresh and hot! The staff is TOP. Always friendly, fast and very clean! I keep coming here because you can't get such good, fast food anywhere else in KL!

The Best Fried Chicken you will ever eat in your life!😋 We use to come here year’s ago when my husband was AD and we’d make our way to Ramstein from Grafenwöhr. We now live in the area and decided to try it again. It’s still good and is now one of our regular spots. Only complaint is all of the tables were dirty and floors definitely needed to be swept! It was during rush hour so that’s probably why. Other than that definitely give it a try.

NSFC is at least as tasty as other perhaps larger representatives in the fried chicken business, if not even a little tastier. However, they are much better in terms of price and performance.

Not necessarily good and hygienic, the tables seem to be rarely or not at all wiped down throughout the day. The food itself was unfortunately quite a disappointment, but it was ready quite quickly. The price is debatable but I can't recommend it.

I've been eating there every now and then for 30 years. Unfortunately, that will change. The ribs always tugged at me. These are no longer available and just for chicken it's not really worth it for me. This isn't bad. Also corn on the cob, coleslaw, puree us. is good to eat.

Very good fried chicken hot wings. Very tasty cole slaw. Service is sometimes so-so. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable and overall it's not very comfortable to sit. Parking is directly in front of the restaurant. There are many varieties of American chicken dishes to choose from.

we thought it was too expensive!! we had 3x spicy and 1 portion of fries and 3x normal no drinks no sauce...19.85€.... It was a bit cheeky, he simply billed the parts + fries as a box... mind you, without buisquit and without salad... and sold the other parts to me as individual pieces.. seemed pretty ridiculous to me ..We're not going there anymore!!!

Seen so many people go here while driving by, so thought "why not try it". I'm sad to say that dry and tasteless breaded chicken with a small Heinz BBQ sauce was a let down. I can not understand why people praise this place, can easily make better at home.

Unfassbar lecker Fried Chicken, mit netten Mitarbeitern. Sehr schnell serviert.

Leider wirds immer schlechter… Der Sitzbereich war frei alle Tische verschmutzt und man muss darum bitten das mal ein Tisch gereinigt wird alle anderen nur auf Aufforderung… alles in allem entwickelt sich das alles ins negative.

Immer wieder gerne, vor allem der Krautsalat ist hervorragend. War heute mal wieder vor Ort. Leider war ich etwas enttäuscht, da die Teile relativ kalt waren, eines sogar richtig kalt.

Chicken is good size, French fries have good taste...and when I say chicken is good size it's big pieces. Unlike other spots nearby. Only reason I gave 4 stars is how are you going to have fries and no ketchup. I asked for a sauce they offer for the wings for my chicken and was told no. Need to dip the fries in something and sometimes the chicken also. Not because it needs the flavor just because it's habit.

Sehr schmackhafte Hähnchenteile, den Kartoffelpüree mit Sose ist besonders zu empfehlen!!! Es gibt auch eine große Auswahl an Getränken. Die Angestellten waren überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Komme gerne wieder !

Hier ist eine Rezension für das All-Inclusive-Modell in El Arenal: Das All-Inclusive-Angebot in El Arenal ist nicht wirklich "all-inclusive", wenn es um Getränke geht. Anstelle teurer Getränke im Hotel zu kaufen, empfehle ich, den nahegelegenen Lidl aufzusuchen, wo eine Flasche guter Rum, Wein nur wenige Euro kostet. Dort findet man auch alles zu erschwinglichen Preisen. Cola ist ja im Hotel kostenlos, aber warum nicht eine kleine Wasserflasche mit Rum mitnehmen und den Abend in vollen Zügen genießen? 😄🍹 Das spart definitiv Geld und ermöglicht es, die Urlaubstage in El Arenal noch mehr zu genießen.Lasst mit eine Like da und besucht mich auf YouTube 😉

Ich bin bzw. war wahrscheinlich die längste Zeit Kunde. Ich bin immer nur wegen dem genialen Cole Slaw sowie den absolut geilen BBQ Ribs gekommen. 60 km hin und zurück doch vor ca. 3-4 Wochen als ich mir welche holen wollte hieß es nur die gibt es nicht mehr nur noch als BBQ Hähnchen naja die BBQ Hähnchen inkl. Cole Slaw gekauft zuhause getestet. Naja was soll ich sagen es sind halt nicht die BBQ Ribs sondern nur Hähnchen. Sollten die Ribs wieder auf die Karte kommen bin ich direkt wieder da. Aber so leider nicht. Danke für jahrelange perfekte Ribs und Cole Slaw... Ein enttäuschter Ex-Stammkunde
