Great place on a quiet street, perfect setting for an evening meal and beers outside. The food was delicious. The service was fast but we did have to wait quite a long time to be able to pay. We tried to speed things up by going inside instead by their till, so they don’t have to come to us, but we were told to just sit back down and wait…

Beautiful traditional Bavarian restaurant in Neuhausen. The restaurant offers a lunch & weekly menu and a separate weekend menu in addition to the standard dishes. The price of the restaurant is average, but has increased significantly in recent years. The service is usually friendly and accommodating. Augustinian beer on tap is a dream as always. The food is usually very good but varies every few months so you can be disappointed. The location is quiet in an apartment block. The restaurant is traditionally furnished and has a beautiful, large beer garden.

We were at the Neuhauser Augustiner restaurant yesterday (August 18, 2024 afternoon). The positive reviews led us to this restaurant. We were first greeted warmly by an employee at the drinks counter and were told that we were welcome to sit in the next room. (where there would be free) There were still enough tables available. The waitress walked past us four times without saying a word. Then she served the next table with more drinks. Then four more guests came into the next room. They were immediately greeted and given drinks/menus. There was no response to our friendly inquiry. People just ran past us. We tried again, but we were ignored. After 15 minutes of waiting without anything happening at our table. (In the meantime we borrowed the menu from a neighboring table), we left! I'm sorry, anyone who treats their guests like that deserves 0 stars. I can understand that there is hardly any staff. Nevertheless, I expect at least a “hello” or “it will take a moment”. None of that here in the Neuhauser Augustiner Restaurant. We were then a few streets further and it was completely full. We had our drinks within 3 minutes and our food was also served promptly. So it's possible, but not at the Neuhauser Augustiner, I won't go there anymore as a foreigner!

A nice big beer garden. Very friendly and attentive staff. Very tasty roast pork with a great dark beer sauce. The beer itself was equally delicious. The schnitzel was also amazing. Really a great authentic shop! We were thrilled.

A really really nice place. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. We've eaten there a few times now and have been absolutely impressed every time. The dishes are very tasty and the portions are definitely generous. The staff was always very friendly and warm to us. We always look forward to the next visit.

We were there with 6 people and a baby... everyone looked after us lovingly, the food was very good, the fried potatoes could have been a little crisper for me... otherwise everything was great! Happy to come back!

My wife and I came for lunch. It is a little out of the way. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have an English a la carte menu and a daily special menu in German which the waiter was happy to translate and recommend. We had the nurnburg sausages and the Weiner snitzel which was delicious. I had the pork schnitzel Viennese style, unfortunately there was no chicken or turkey schnitzel. The schnitzel wasn't that special, my wife had the turkey curry with rice which was very good. I had fried potatoes with my schnitzel, which were also very tasty, but the portion was very small as a side dish. For dessert we had the homemade apple fritters with vanilla ice cream that really tasted like we made it ourselves. The homemade lemonade is also very tasty.

Super nice restaurant (atmosphere). The food was delicious (we had something from the daily menu. The selection is large. There are also different types of food for vegetarians. We sat outside in a very relaxed manner (there were large umbrellas), but it also looked very nice inside. The only deduction was a star because of the service Something was going on, even though there wasn't much going on - but not everyone can have a perfect day every day :) I'd love to come back!

The crowning conclusion to our stay in Munich. The table reservation didn't work out, but we still got a table for the 2 of us. Service was super nice. Food was super tasty and the price for 2 starters, 2 main courses and 4 drinks was very cheap for Munich.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Neuhauser Augustiner and loved it. The service was great – friendly and attentive. The dish of the day, bacon-wrapped pork fillet, was simply delicious: tender meat, perfectly cooked, and the bacon wrapping gave it a wonderful touch. An all-round successful experience! I can only recommend the Neuhauser Augustiner.

Se volete mangiare la tipica cucina bavarese lontano dalla confusione del centro, è qui che dovete venire! Sembra di essere immersi nella cultura tedesca, i camerieri non parlano inglese e sono molto attenti a rispettare la tranquillità del quartiere intorno, infatti in settimana chiudono alle 11. Ci è piaciuto tutto, dal menù speciale con gli asparagi alle specialità bavaresi sempre presenti. Ottima qualità prezzo e porzioni abbondanti. Consigliato!

Lovely place, a bit remote and a wee walk from any U-bahn station but well worth it. The food is delicious, the portions are massive and the staff extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice, typical for this type of Bavarian establishment, and this place is much better value for money than anywhere in the tourist parts of town. Highly recommended.

Really friendly place. But: Food prices have risen dramatically recently. Sometimes around €5!! Pork fillet from €16.90 to €21.90! Crazy price example: Currywurst with fries: €13.80!! And: chairs very uncomfortable and only a few cushions available. Just a typical tavern...

Unfortunately I got a smaller piece of “Münchner Schnitzel”. However, it tasted very good. The service was very polite, despite the stress.

We spontaneously went there for dinner. It was relatively busy for a Thursday evening. The waiters were varyingly on the ball. The guys were friendly, one lady was a bit special. The food was ok. Nothing special. The Camembert was powerful. Good thing there were two of us and we shared the dishes. The fries from the burger were super good. The burger was ok.

At the beginning one of the waiters didn't want to let us in, only there were 2 tables left and we had to say whether we wanted to eat something even though we still had no idea what was available, then we ordered drinks at the counter and asked for a seat, then we ate great food and it was super tasty Lots of good atmosphere and a lot of nice audience, simply brilliant and always happy to be there

Absolutely full marks. Very cozy atmosphere, lovely people and excellent food. But be careful, these are real tavern portions. On the first day we treated ourselves to a beer, soup and roast pork. Augustiner is the best beer anyway, the soup was delicious and so was the roast pork. However, we were then able to roll ourselves to the tram. 😁 We were more careful on the second visit. Just a half, soup had to be had and the Viennese style schnitzel with it. Uiii, I'll say, I found a plate under the schnitzel. Really huge! So it's best not to eat anything the day before and then go to the Neuhauser Augustiner. Absolutely recommended and clearly set for us for the next visits to Munich. 👍🏻❤️

In itself a very nice restaurant. Service friendly. Unfortunately, the food was nothing. They call pork knuckle and duck crisp, but unfortunately it was absolutely dry and even the huge amounts of sauce couldn't cover it up. Apparently there was also a brand new menu, prices were of course more expensive than those on the website, although I took a look on the day of my visit. Please update! Conclusion: I would definitely come back for a beer, but skip the food.

Absolutely enormous portions of delicious Bavarian food. Staff was very kind and attentive, and also very forgiving of our attempts to do everything in German. Entire family gushed over every part of the meal and left stuffed to the gills.
