Hat man nur den falschen Küchenmitarbeiter erwischt, wenn statt in Reine gut karamellisierten Kaiserschmarrn der Teig mit kaum Röststoffen getrennt von den wohl am Ende hinzugeworfenen Rosinen und ungebräunten Mandeln kommt? Wenn man dann statt bisher dort gewohnter Zahlungsmöglichkeiten Kreditkarte und Girocard nur frech entgegengehalten bekommt, "geht nie" und keine Lösungsmöglichkeit oder Entschuldigung, geschweige denn z. B. einen Schnaps aufs Haus für die Umstände, warum sollte man dann wiederkommen? Für die aufdringliche trash Raummusik bestimmt nicht...

Probably the only place open on December 26th, near Nymphenburg, but luckily thanks to Google we managed to find it. A venison goulash with a side of pretzel knödeln that I will probably dream about because of how good it was! The ravioli are also good, all accompanied by an excellent Augustiner hell. Highly recommended for anyone passing through the area, friendly service and continuous hours. Prices a little higher than average, but absolutely worth it!

We've been there for dinner several times now. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. Even in stressful situations when there is a lot going on. The food is always very tasty too. The price is also completely ok. We can only recommend the restaurant to everyone 👍👍

Unfortunately the visit wasn’t a really good experience… If the menu smiled at you at the beginning, after waiting almost 1.5 hours for your food you were no longer completely satisfied. But the bigger problem was the quality of the food itself: the pork knuckle wasn't crispy, it was small, poorly seasoned and the skin was so leathery that you couldn't even eat it! Pure disappointment! Some of the fried potatoes weren't even fried... almost all of them were returned. Beer was good, but clearly, you can't go wrong. Service was okay, but only the bare minimum, it can't be said to be good here (long wait, no response, forgotten drink order, wrong main courses brought first, etc.). Update: Service was very good, the problem was addressed, taken seriously and accommodated directly! Great handled! :)

From the table reservation, to the very friendly and good staff, to the food, everything was great. I can only give my recommendation. Gladly again.

Food, service and ambience were good.

We went there two evenings in a row because we liked it so much. The service was first class. On the weekend, however, it is a bit fuller and correspondingly loud. But the food was great, the bacon coleslaw and the dessert were world class. We felt very comfortable. The prices are completely reasonable (rather cheaper than expected.

Best decision to go there, great service, very tasty food and at a very reasonable price for Munich it tends to be a price tip.

Good middle class, delicious local specialties, friendly staff

We went directly to the restaurant without a reservation on a Saturday night and were very lucky to have a table. It was fully booked about half an hour after we were seated. There was a waiter who was very kind and fluent in English. He could communicate smoothly. The roast duck was delicious. The shrimp in the salad was slightly salty but the sauce was also great. It is highly recommended that if you are nearby, you can come and enjoy authentic Munich cuisine!

Bavarian cliché pub. The food is good. The service was “out of Bavarian” but friendly, well-disposed and quick. The food is obviously prepared and is being warmed up again. I would have pork knuckles with dumplings. The knuckle was cross, the dumpling inside was only lukewarm.

The portion of liver was so large that there was enough for the next day.

Good cheap Bavarian restaurant in Munich. The roast pork was good the other day, but it could have been better. Non-alcoholic beer is not there, at least for me.

The service was friendly and professional. The food was also good. There was a delicious dumpling for our daughter. One point deducted for the fact that if you order a schnitzel, a small bowl of cranberries costs €2 extra. As a Bavarian, I say * cranberries belong to schnitzel like sweet mustard goes with white sausage.

Absolute no go!!!! No hygiene! The toilets are dirty! No paper! No soap! The food is cold! The plates and cutlery were dirty! The service unfriendly! You become compulsive when you are alone there and only consume drinks! Orders take forever! Not recommended in any way!!!!! The food seems cold partly stale! Dry sauce edges on the plates and cutlery!!!! This is just for coming quickly, eating and leaving quickly, but paying a lot of money! Tradition looks different!!!!!!!

Restaurant in an area away from the historic center of Munich but easily reachable by public transport or by car. Delicious food, quick, friendly and non-invasive service. Augustiner beer is served and there are all the main typical Bavarian dishes in addition to the daily menu which serves seasonal dishes. Definitely worth going there to eat for a stay in Munich!

I visited alone on a Sunday afternoon. In English, I'm alone, do you have a seat? When I asked about it, they kindly accommodated me, perhaps because it was empty. As I was trying my best to translate the German menu using Google Lens, I was asked if there was anything I wanted to eat. I was able to solve the problem by showing them the photo. To be honest, I'm not someone who can judge whether German local cuisine is good or bad, but for me it was delicious. This is a recommended restaurant.

We ended up in this restaurant relatively spontaneously while looking for a restaurant near our hotel. A table reservation was easily possible online. In the end, we liked it so much that we came here twice during our vacation! The staff is super friendly, quick and attentive. You can see that people enjoy working here. The menu is typically Bavarian, everyone will find something here - even vegetarians. There is also a changing daily menu. We always enjoyed it!

I love this tucked-away restaurant! The atmosphere is 💯, creating a cozy and inviting vibe. The food is incredible; I had the schnitzel and the traditional Bavarian Kaiserschmarrn (a must), both of which were totally worth it. The powdered sugar and almonds complemented each other beautifully, making for a delightful dessert. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I highly recommend!

Super nice Bavarian inn with delicious Augustiner beer. We ate the Viennese veal schnitzel and what we got was super tasty, a portion is easily enough for 2...for only €28. And if you're still hungry afterwards... The Kaiserschmarrn looked excellent.

Lovely traditional restaurant. Large selection of food and beer. We took white sausages with pretzel, Wiener schnitzel, Munich schnitzel, and perch fillet. The portions are large. Augustiner beer is simply amazing! The restaurant is very popular so book in advance. I recommend everything!

Old, rustic inn in Neuhausen. Were only there for a few beers. Service quick and nice.

We ate very tasty, had cheeseburgers and a salad plate, everything was fresh and super tasty. Great ambience and the service is absolutely top notch. A clear recommendation if you want something decently fresh on your plate for a reasonable price, this is the right place for you. If we are in Munich again, we will definitely come back.

While the café offers decent food, there are difficulties with vegan options. There is also a lack of protein-rich foods, which is important for vegans and athletes. Another negative point: If you are there with a larger group, it is quite complicated to pay the bill. You have to remember exactly who drank and ate how much, otherwise you risk paying twice or even three times for the same thing. Towards the end of the day, the waiters are very exhausted and push the guests out of the restaurant. It would be desirable to find a smoother end-of-shift transition and better care for groups with separate bills.

my favourite wirthaus in Munich 😊 had cordon bleu, weisswurst and mediallions in mushroom sauce so far, everything was delicious. This is definitely an above average wirtshaus in quality and taste, the staff is super friendly as well

Great place on a quiet street, perfect setting for an evening meal and beers outside. The food was delicious. The service was fast but we did have to wait quite a long time to be able to pay. We tried to speed things up by going inside instead by their till, so they don’t have to come to us, but we were told to just sit back down and wait…

We were at the Neuhauser Augustiner restaurant yesterday (August 18, 2024 afternoon). The positive reviews led us to this restaurant. We were first greeted warmly by an employee at the drinks counter and were told that we were welcome to sit in the next room. (where there would be free) There were still enough tables available. The waitress walked past us four times without saying a word. Then she served the next table with more drinks. Then four more guests came into the next room. They were immediately greeted and given drinks/menus. There was no response to our friendly inquiry. People just ran past us. We tried again, but we were ignored. After 15 minutes of waiting without anything happening at our table. (In the meantime we borrowed the menu from a neighboring table), we left! I'm sorry, anyone who treats their guests like that deserves 0 stars. I can understand that there is hardly any staff. Nevertheless, I expect at least a “hello” or “it will take a moment”. None of that here in the Neuhauser Augustiner Restaurant. We were then a few streets further and it was completely full. We had our drinks within 3 minutes and our food was also served promptly. So it's possible, but not at the Neuhauser Augustiner, I won't go there anymore as a foreigner!

Beautiful traditional Bavarian restaurant in Neuhausen. The restaurant offers a lunch & weekly menu and a separate weekend menu in addition to the standard dishes. The price of the restaurant is average, but has increased significantly in recent years. The service is usually friendly and accommodating. Augustinian beer on tap is a dream as always. The food is usually very good but varies every few months so you can be disappointed. The location is quiet in an apartment block. The restaurant is traditionally furnished and has a beautiful, large beer garden.
