Yesterday we were allowed to be guests of a small wedding party at the Asam Schlössl. The service there was great, the staff was super friendly and the food was excellent. Everything really worked out. Thanks for that!

Beautiful restaurant with lots of very tastefully decorated rooms and a fantastic ambience. The beer garden behind the house is also worth a visit to this great restaurant. An absolute must for fans of Augustiner.

It's always a pleasure to come here. The beer garden is particularly recommended when the weather is good. The chefs know their craft perfectly, there are seasonal specialties (see the asparagus in the pictures), the steaks taste excellent and are prepared in a special kettle grill, and the selection of cakes/desserts leaves nothing to be desired.

WOW – was für eine Entdeckung! Allein die Anfahrt mit dem Taxi hat sich gelohnt – und auch die Rückfahrt mit der U-Bahn war es wert. Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem schönen Gebäude mit gemütlichem Biergarten draußen und liebevoll-bayerisch eingerichteten Innenräumen. Ich habe hier eines der besten Krustentier-Süppchen meines Lebens gegessen – es schmeckte wie ein heißer, intensiver Extrakt aus gepressten Krustentieren. Einfach genial. Die Rinderkraftbrühe war im Vergleich dazu eher durchschnittlich – solide, aber kein Highlight. Als Hauptgericht hatte ich einen der besten Krustenbraten mit Knödeln und einer wunderbar feinen Soße, den ich je gegessen habe. Auch das Fischgericht meiner Frau war gut – allerdings deutlich weniger beeindruckend als der Krustenbraten. Die Auswahl an offenen Weinen fand ich etwas langweilig – da wäre mehr drin gewesen. Das Augustiner vom Fass dagegen schmeckte hervorragend. BofG – Wiederkommen/Empfehlungsfaktor (0–100 %): 80 % Wenn ich in München leben würde, käme ich allein wegen des Krustenbratens regelmäßig wieder.

Actually came here to impress friends. I was raving about the food beforehand. Then the disappointment was great. Service tried hard but helpless. Incorrect doneness of the steak. Veal fibrous. Fried potatoes limp. Unfortunately that was nothing.

Very good food, nice friendly service. It's quite expensive, but you can treat yourself every now and then. The beer garden is also nice. Gladly again.

If you’re in Munich, don’t miss this exceptionally great place to dine. My friend and I reserved for dinner, arrived 30 mins early but was seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, food came fast and in the right temperature. Food was delicious and flavorful, even the French fries. I am not big on apple strudel, but this one, I want to bring a whole pan back home! Price is reasonable too.

I probably won’t be the first who says that but their food was wonderful. We liked everything that we ordered, especially the fish and lemonade.

The roast pork meal was of good standard. The staff very friendly. Unfortunately, the boss's shouting attack because something went wrong in the service spoiled my appetite. This review is not based solely on the food and atmosphere, but what made the noght was the service. Our waiter was excellent and honest. To the point that he made an error on our bill and I did not pick up and he pointed it out to me. Add to this an excellent shortrib and tartar and it made gor a great experience. Thank you.

If you're looking for a good steak or Bavarian cuisine, this is the place to go. We recommend the T-bone, potatoes, and shishito peppers. The schnitzel from this store is by far the best. The interior has a calm atmosphere, making it perfect for relaxing and drinking beer.

For dinner we had, among other things, beef tartare and roast pork crusts. Ambience, service: everything top notch! In this case there is no need to write much. Just go there!

I have been to the Asam Schlössl very often, both in winter and in summer in the beautiful garden. For me personally, summer wins because I like the atmosphere outside a little better. The outdoor area is also family-friendly as children can play there. The food is very good, the portions are usually large and you get something for the admittedly slightly higher price. In my opinion, value for money is okay. The selection is anything but boring, but everyone should still find something to their taste. I have only had good experiences with the service so far.

Why weren't we here sooner? The Asam-Schlössl has been on our walking routes through the picturesque Isar floodplains for ages and as of today it is also part of our top restaurant list in the south of Munich. We had the perfectly prepared Wagyu beef with pimientos, truffle fries and red wine. Rarely has a down-to-earth dish been prepared so perfectly. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and funny. Definitely a tip to all undecided people.

Very quaint and a beautiful location. Summers I can imagine this place will be bustling with a nice garden space. The food was very elegant and beautiful giving bavarian food a nice modern spin. The service was great and our waiter explained their unique grilling methods.

Not ideal for vegetarians A wonderful place with excellent cuisine. The vegetarian dishes are tasty and there is a selection of options. However, the vegetarian portion sizes are disproportionate to the price and cannot keep up with the meat dishes. While the latter are more tailored to hungry construction workers, the vegetarian dishes seem more like children's portions or snacks for small eaters.

We celebrated a lovely birthday there. The food tastes excellent. The steaks in particular were very tender and to the point. All other dishes were super tasty. The service was very attentive and even brought the birthday child a dessert on the house. Everything was priced a little higher than elsewhere. But when it comes to quality, you know that beforehand. Unfortunately there is no parking space, so you have to search on the street. Can be a problem in summer.

The ambience is beautiful and the quality of the food was exceptional. We had the porterhouse steak for two and it was to die for. The meat was perfectly prepared, incredibly tender and of the best quality – simply a delight! A big thank you goes to our waiter Ladi, who not only served us incredibly friendly and attentively, but also gave us excellent advice. His dedication really made our evening special. The fantastic price-performance ratio is also particularly worth mentioning. Considering the quality of the food and service, we found the prices absolutely fair and reasonable - that made us even more excited. We have rarely eaten so well and can warmly recommend the Asam-Schlössl. For anyone looking for great cuisine, first-class service and fair prices, this restaurant is an absolute highlight. We would love to come back!

“Why don’t you f* speak English,” a gentleman waiter said to us. I was a bit surprised by it. Before that I didn't have any problems with my pronunciation. I can understand that he might feel exhausted before Christmas, but he didn't have to spread the negative mood. The food is, as always, the best.

Reserved for three people for a birthday dinner. Paid €16.50 extra for tablecloth + cloth napkins (!). Table size designed for two people, therefore not enough space for three people; The table was pushed into a corner, too cool and uncomfortable, as the dining area was only separated from the hallway to the toilets by a wooden screen and another open door; The service was nice, but tried to "process" us quickly in terms of the drinks and food sequence, which doesn't work at all :-( Roast pork: meat too firm, dry, crust hard to cut, difficult to chew, other ingredients tasty, veal schnitzel with fries tasted good, but nothing special for the price of €30; Negative price-performance ratio; Overall, the restaurant promises more than it can actually deliver! It's far from a cozy, beautiful and tasty birthday meal, what a shame! Conclusion: We are very disappointed, will therefore not be coming back and will not recommend the restaurant to anyone!

Very quiet gem, great terrace with a beautiful garden. Large menu with a huge selection of fresh dishes, grill fans in particular will get their money's worth here. Everything is very high quality and almost perfect. The service fits in seamlessly here. Really great!

We spent our Sunday afternoon dining here. The food was excellent, the service outstanding, and since it was early, we had no issues with acoustics.

The reception in the cold anteroom was unoccupied and we felt a bit lost. It was very loud in the restaurant itself, which was largely caused by a large number of small children who were not slowed down. The staff even encouraged children, which added to the fun. The food was good, but we won't be coming back because the high noise level was a hindrance to a relaxing evening. Certainly a good choice for parents who don't set any limits for their children!

We were extremely happy with our visit to Asam Schlossl at Sunday lunch hours. It was comfortable to dine, and acoustic was excellent to keep conversations even Im hearing impaired. My husband and I ate at Asam Schlössl today. The friendly reception makes you feel welcome. This friendliness and attentiveness also applies to the service. We have been guests at Asam Schlössel several times and the food and drinks are consistently of great quality. Also today, I ordered a beef fillet with side dishes and my husband an asam burger. The fillet was prepared exactly the way I like it and ordered it. All other components were also a pleasure. Everything was lovingly prepared. The cozy location, even in the beautiful beer garden when the temperatures are warm, invites you to linger. We felt the need to write this review because we always leave this beautiful restaurant happy, satisfied and full.

A fantastic evening in a cozy room, in my opinion the best Wiener Schnitzel I have ever eaten. No matter who came to the table, they were absolutely courteous. Gladly again!

Were there at the church fair. No classic duck on the daily menu, which you might expect at a Bavarian restaurant. The pink duck breast from the regular menu was good, but a little too raw. The portion was too small for €33. By that I don't mean the duck but the mini portion of mashed potatoes. Wasn't full. The service was friendly and helpful, but a bit overwhelmed. The food didn't come at the same time and picking up and bringing the drinks was a matter of luck and didn't always work.

A really beautifully restored restaurant in a historic building with varied rooms and nice corners inside as well as a beautiful, shady little pub garden in front of the door. Particularly noteworthy is the high quality of the food and the high standards of the kitchen. Here you can find freshly grilled food from the Green Egg and also nice fish dishes. The wine list is just as impressive as the service staff and the quality of the food, all around a recommendation! We'd love to come back!

Der Steirische Rindfleischsalat war wirklich ausgezeichnet und sein Geld wert. Was aber - speziell in München - gar nicht passieren darf: das Augustiner Helle kam mit völlig zusammengefallenen Schaum und natürlich zehn Millimeter unter dem Eichstrich. Der Bedienung (Hilfskraft nur zum Speisen- und Getränketragen) war das zwar bewusst und er sagte, das sei so weil er viele Gläser auf dem Tablett hatte aber zugleich, dass das ok sei. Ohne meine Antwort abzuwarten war er wieder weg.

Nice garden. A bit pricey, not sure what the hype is about from reading other reviews. However I guess we had a unique experience as it seems the owner/boss/staff member was entertaining and dining with friends and was constantly walking and bumping into our table making sure everything was perfect for them at the expense of us.

Really a top upscale Bavarian restaurant. The service was very friendly and professional. What should be highlighted is the diverse vegetarian and vegan menu selection.

Excellent food, wonderful place, compliments to the chef. Prices a little high but the food was excellent. Service not up to par. The waiter was a little rude. We had to eat almost in the dark because we were outside and he wouldn't or couldn't turn on the lights. Furthermore, he pointed out that we had to leave a tip.

Honestly, one of the better restaurants that I’ve ever been to. The wait staff was absolutely phenomenal, courteous, helpful, cheerful, and really truly made the night enjoyable. The food was impeccable, o had the Iberian steak and would recommend it ten times over. The mashed potatoes were perfect, and the meat couldn’t have been cooked better. The ambience was also very nice, a beautiful villa and beautiful garden. Highly recommend to anyone in Munich and I hope to be back soon!

El Asamschlössel es un restaurante romántico y original de estilo Munich con un hermoso interior bávaro y muy buena cocina bávara, así como una excelente barbacoa en las praderas de Isar de Munich. El servicio siempre ha sido excelente. El inglés también se habla perfectamente y los camareros son a menudo hablantes nativos. Regularmente venimos aquí espontáneamente - sobre todo los viernes por la noche - para comer y disfrutar. También hay una cervecería e incluso los niños tienen mucho espacio para correr. Reservar con antelación también garantiza que obtenga un asiento. Very, very tasty, great service, unfortunately a bit expensive, but still worth every cent.

The service was very attentive and friendly. A forgotten order (wrong order) was compensated with a drink on the house. Great reaction. The ribeye tasted great and was cooked perfectly. The fries are absolutely amazing and highly recommended. The wormwood tonic has addictive potential. We'll definitely be back.
