Nero Pizza & mehr in Überlingen

Anyone who wants to eat here should definitely make a reservation. The ambiance is quaint and extremely cozy. The service is very pleasant and friendly, although I personally found it a bit inattentive. The food is an absolute 10/10. You can tell the ingredients are of high quality and the chef knows what he or she is doing. There are even daily specials available in the dining room. Overall, it was a very pleasant evening, thank you very much!

Great service and absolutely delicious, high-quality food. Pizza, pasta, salads, and antipasti are homemade (where possible) and sometimes made with regional products. Great location, not too big – I can recommend it without reservation.

Quite good, but unfortunately a bit too expensive these days We've been eating here for many years on our holidays in Überlingen. We've had the world's best pizza and a very good Manzo Tonnato (unfortunately, with a bit less sauce). However, we now feel it's too expensive. A small side salad costs 9.50 or a bottle of water costs 7.90. Holy cow, our salaries haven't kept up with that over the years. How about a grappa on the house at these prices?

We go to Nero on every Lake Constance vacation. Friendly service, good pizza, but unfortunately, they're now also charging "good" prices. Even though the ingredients may certainly be of very high quality, the prices are a bit steep.

A clear 5 stars. The salad, pizza, and appetizer were all fantastic. But you do pay a hefty price for that. But it was definitely worth it, and we'll definitely be back. Better make a reservation.

We had two salads, octopus and goat cheese, both of which had too many ingredients, so the main flavor was a bit underwhelming. Otherwise, the pizza looked very good. The atmosphere and service were very good.

Whenever we're in Überlingen, we eat at Nero. Whether it's pizza or pasta...everything is very, very good. The pizza dough is superb, well-cooked, crispy...just the way we like it. We can recommend everyone to visit Nero and enjoy...but reservations are recommended. The service is always great...thank you.

We arrived on time on June 2, 2025. Despite a confirmed reservation, there was no room for us. We stood around "as ordered and not picked up," and even had to justify ourselves. My wife's 75th birthday was ruined.

We were there on a holiday evening and still managed to get a seat without a reservation, albeit downstairs in the vaulted cellar. The food was very tasty, but my pasta dish (penne arrabiata) was a bit small for the price, and the cherry tomatoes listed were unfortunately only one... Unfortunately, they don't serve wheat beer; you have to buy a wheat beer and a full Coke, which makes it very expensive. Service was very friendly.

We saw the Nero by chance on Google Maps. There were very good reviews here and that's why we ended up here. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy good, high-quality Italian cuisine. The service was super friendly and accommodating, even on the phone when making the reservation. A mega plus! We had a pizza and the ox cheeks, both delicious. The pizza had a nice thin base, the ox cheeks were super tender and beautifully prepared. All in all a must if you fancy good Italian cuisine.

Super cozy Italian, always a pleasure

Yesterday was my second time at Nero and because everything was great again, now my praise comes from the heart: great service, great products, everything was delicious and the price/performance was really okay (for food + 0.2 Primitivo around €33 and the portion was really filling!). The fennel salad was really very delicately seasoned, the pizza had the right balance between fluffy and crispy, not too garlic-heavy, everything was great. There is no point in visiting without a reservation, even on Monday evening all the tables were occupied. I don't regret anything and next time I'll probably even dare to eat something other than pizza. But on the other hand: it's just great! We'll see. ;)

Very welcoming place, very kind staff, delicious food! I love this restaurant! I go there to eat at least once a month, and I often order takeaway pizza. The pizza is really good, the best in the area and surroundings. The veal fillet is excellent. The salad with spicy sauce is also delicious. Go there I recommend it!

the "Nero pizza" is a traditional italian restaurant. The restaurant is located near the city centre of Überlingen in an hidden alley, in front of the public library of Überlingen. When you enter the restaurant, on the first floor you have a atmospheric wine cellar like room for bigger reservations or ocassions. On the right side of the main entrance, a rounded stairway will guide you to the second floor where you can find the actual restaurant for dine in. The atmosphere is modern, especially the architectual design and dividing of the room was cozy and comfortable. The was always helpful and friendly with a extra portion of kindness, a real stuff which cares about there guests. In general you can come by at any time without prior reservation, but on weekdays I recommend to make a reservation before visiting the place. When it comes to the food, it was outstanding. We ordered a lasagne, pizza margherita as main dish and a tiramisu as a dessert, the food was tasty and the prices where ok. Overall I can highly recommend this lovely restaurant. I will definitely come back!

Wir sind seit ein paar Tagen in Überlingen und suchten ein gut bewertetea Lokal zum Abendessen und sind hier gelandet. Da wir nicht reserviert hatten waren wir überrascht das alle Tische reserviert waren aber für ein und halb Stunden war einer frei. Das Angebot ist übersichtlich und wir bestellten Pizza cantarelle mit Pfifferlingen und die war mega lecker, hier würden wir wieder essen!

We had reserved a particular, particularly beautiful table to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we arrived on time the table was occupied, as were all the other seats. Our reservation had obviously been forgotten. The boss shrugged her shoulders and said, “You can see what’s going on here.” We could have sat in the dark basement, that was out of the question for us. That was the end of the evening and we are going somewhere else this time and next time.

Salada and pizza are excellent and very tasty. Price and quality equal to the Netherlands. Quite noisy if there are 2 German families sitting next to you, just noisy children. Unfortunately, children had not yet been helped with their vocal cords.

Good pizza, unfortunately we had to get take away because the restaurant was full. It took about 25 min to get our order. Staff was friendly. I did however expect the Quattro formagio pizza to have a tomato sauce base, and it did not… I think it would have been nicer with the tomato sauce base because of the strong flavors of the cheeses. Besides that a good pizza.

The restaurant is small and cozy. The service was two powerful women who unfortunately had too much attention when drying off. I had carbonara spaghetti there. I thought they smelled special because of the cheese. Unfortunately, that didn't do me any good and I had service disruptions for three days. ☹️

Mir wurde der Tisch direkt an den offenen Toiletten zugewiesen obwohl während meiner ganzen Anwesenheit im Restaurant zwei Tisch frei blieben !!! Erst auf meinem Hinweis , dass die Toiletten Türen offen stehen wurden sie geschlossen. Etwas später bat ich um einen anderen Tisch, den ich auch erhielt. Leider konnte ich unter diesen Bedingungen das Essen vielleicht nicht ausreichend würdigen.

This really nice restaurant is located on a side street and is easy to miss. But what you shouldn't do. From the outside it seems a bit out of time. This impression is misleading. As soon as you enter, you'll notice the nicely furnished vaulted cellar. A spiral staircase leads to the next floor. Here too, the restaurant exudes its Mediterranean charm. The waitresses were all very nice and unobtrusively attentive. Pluras because, as always, we went there twice before rating. Originally we each wanted to try different dishes. Because what the other guests ate also looked good. But we got stuck with the pizza 🍕. Naturally stone oven and really tasty. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

Une très bonne adresse. Nous avions une table pour 4 à l’étage dans un petit renfoncement. Service très chaleureux et efficace. Les pizzas sont vraiment excellentes et l’olio piquante qui va avec, faite maison avec piments et poivrons rouge une merveille. La carte des vins saura satisfaire le plus grand nombre (plusieurs vins italiens notamment). Les desserts sont tentants et nous avons craque pour un traditionnel tiramisu, très bon. En amateur de grappa, j’ai eu l’occasion de déguster une grappa à l’amande absolument divine, sans doute la meilleure qu’il m’a été donné de gouter. Dommage que ce soit sin loin (sommes alsaciens) mais nous reviendrons assurément dès que possible. Grâce à vous nos vacances ses sont terminées avec un excellent souvenir gustatif, Merci Eine sehr gute Adresse. Wir hatten einen Tisch für vier Personen im Obergeschoss in einer kleinen Nische. Sehr freundlicher und effizienter Service. Die Pizzen sind wirklich ausgezeichnet und die dazugehörige scharfe Olio, die mit Chilis und roten Paprikaschoten hausgemacht ist, ist ein Wunder. Die Weinkarte wird die meisten zufriedenstellen (vor allem mehrere italienische Weine). Die Desserts sind verlockend und wir haben uns in ein traditionelles Tiramisu verliebt, das sehr gut schmeckt. Als Grappa-Liebhaber hatte ich die Gelegenheit, einen absolut göttlichen Mandelgrappa zu probieren, zweifellos der beste, den ich je probiert habe. Schade, dass es so weit weg ist (wir kommen aus dem Elsass), aber wir werden auf jeden Fall so bald wie möglich wiederkommen. We found this small, cozy restaurant while passing through. We were greeted warmly, were able to order pretty straight away and received our 4 pizzas very quickly. Super tasty, aromatic dough with a crispy edge. Not too much cheese, but still enough toppings. There is love for the product and expertise here. Thank you for that. We will definitely come back when we are in Überlingen.

Ein wunderbares kleines italienisches Restaurant mitten in der Stadt. Super leckeres Essen mit frischen Produkten. Die "Gast" Freundlichkeit wird hier noch gelebt und groß geschrieben. Unbedingt reservieren. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Pizza ist überbewertet: eine sehr sparsam belegte, ziemlich kleine Pizza saporita, geschmacklich Mittelmaß - aber Preis 13, 50 Euro... ich verstehe die guten Bewertungen der andern nicht. eine Pizza margeritha für 11 Euro finde ich schon krass teuer, es sei denn sie wäre weltklasse wie etwa in Neapel selbst, aber das ist sie hier bei weitem nicht. sehr kleines Lokal, man sitzt eng aufeinander und hört jedes Wort vom nachbarn, muss man mögen. Service etwas hochnäsig und arrogant, kennt man von Italien anders.

Leider sehr klein, so dass selbst unter der Woche eine Reservierung sehr empfehlenswert ist. Ansonsten aber sehr gut, die Pizzen sind teilweise ungewohnt gemacht (beispielsweise sind die Käsesorten bei Quattro Formaggi andere als sonst), aber dennoch sehr lecker. Der Service ist nett und durch die kleine Größe auch sehr persönlich.

Nettes Restaurant mit sehr netten und aufmerksamen Service. Essen war richtig lecker, werden auf alle Fälle Wiederholungstäter, aber mit Reservierung, da wir Glück hatten, überhaupt einen Tisch zu bekommen, der aber zeitlich begrenzt war. Schön wäre eine Terrasse....geht leider auf Grund der Lage des Restaurants nicht.
