Best chicken korma i ever had in germany! When you get seated at the entrance its a little cold because a lot of customers go in and out - otherwise its perfect. Definitely the best indian restaurant in the whole area!

Super delicious! Large portions, well seasoned and a wide selection. When I visited (Wednesday evening) the restaurant was very busy. I don't know if you can make a reservation, but if so, it's certainly recommended. Attention: only cash payment possible.

I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We started with the samosa chaat, which was good, and the papadam served as a starter, which was nice. However, the mango lassi was more like a liquid version of 'Amrakhand' (mango Shrikhand), which wasn’t what I expected. Overall, the food didn’t meet my expectations for authenticity or flavor. When we requested takeaway, we were given a box and told to pack the leftovers ourselves, which felt a bit impersonal since, in most places, the staff helps with that. This wasn’t a major issue but worth noting. The service was where the experience really fell short. I found the staff to be unprofessional and inattentive, making it clear that customer service wasn’t a priority. Another drawback: the restaurant only accepts cash, which is inconvenient for many customers.

Very tasty food, quick and inexpensive. My butter chicken masala with naan bread was delicious. I also liked Indian-style tea; I had never had tea with milk before. I'll definitely come back!

I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The chaat had a strong tamarind taste, and the mutton biryani had undercooked meat. It tasted more like rice with sambar than authentic biryani. The madka kulfi lacked flavor and had an unpleasant icy texture. Additionally, they only accept cash, which was inconvenient. I’m surprised this place has such high ratings in Mannheim. I expected much better.

The food is so sweet. I ordered vindaloo chicken and it’s tasted like so much tomato sauce. Rice portion is quiet big. This shop in CASH ONLY and not so convenient. So pack and the sitting is so close. And also Briyani doesn’t take like one. I think they amend the original Indian food taste for locals. Ayurvedic lemon rice is also sweet

Absolutely terrible experience. The food was a huge letdown, everything we ordered was either excessively sweet or unbearably salty. To make things worse, my portion of Chicken Korma had exactly three small pieces of chicken. I could count them on one hand! And to top it off, I’ve never seen a Biryani served with a salad on top. It was bizarre and completely out of place. Not only was the food disappointing, but the service was even worse. The staff was shockingly unprofessional. As the cherry on top, they ONLY ACCEPT CASH and had no way for us to pay by card. When we explained we didn’t have cash, they actually suggested we leave either our phone or ID with them while we went out to get money. Unbelievable. This was hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The positive reviews must be fake because there’s no way anyone could genuinely enjoy this place. Avoid at all costs!

The food was very far away from being authentic and delicious. The salt and sugar levels were all over the place. It was either too sweet or too salty. Despite my request, the restaurant did not prepare my lamb biryani in advance. The whole point of ordering in advance is to get a delicious biriyani, and in the end they served a below average biryani. This place used to be good once upon a time. Now, it's a place for below average food and harassment if you don't carry cash.

AVOID. Great starter. Good main. Not at all obvious this is cash only. Long wait for Bill and had to ask for it twice. When bill evebtually arrived and it turned out they only take cash I explained i would need to go to an ATM. Owner started demanding to take my ID or mobile phone. I said i was unwilling to do that but he could photograph my photo id which includes my name and address. He became extremely aggressive and threatened to call the police. I suggested he go right ahead and do that. One of the waitresses then photographed my ID instead. I went and got cash, returned and paid. His waitress was polite and apologetic but unfortunately the owner is an aggressive lunatic. Avoid avoid avoid.

The food is fantastic. My favorite indian place in Mannheim. The portion sizes are good and the menu is diverse and interesting. If you manage to get a table, the atmosphere is great too, but probably not to everyone's taste - it's loud, cramped and you'll be touching elbows with the next table. But it feels cozy and fun. The service seems a bit stilted and stresses, but it kind of fits the vibe of the whole place. You can only pay in cash, which is a bit annoying.

Amazing food, great service, ekdam Delhi vala taste

My wife and I drove an hour to come to this restaurant and feel like it was a mistake. Immediately when myself, my wife, and our 1 year old daughter arrived, we asked for a table and stated we didn’t have a reservation and the owner put placed her hands on her forehead and started shaking her head like it was an inconvenience. This place has accepted walk ins in the past and we didn’t feel welcome at all. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order while the owners are cleaning silverware and being very loud about it also. A simple request was made to our order where the same owner seemed like she was mocking the request to another worker. All in all, everyone just seemed very rude. We have been here before where it seemed like we weren’t “welcome”, but we love the food and wanted to give it another try. But after today, I don’t believe we will come back. Customers don’t expect to have a red carpet thrown out for them, but at least pretend to have a smiling face, be kind, and remember it’s a small restaurant and anyone that is the least bit observant can notice some things.

You shouldn’t expect a warm welcome at this restaurant if you don’t have a reservation. When I mentioned we didn’t have one, the owner immediately rubbed their forehead and shook their head, making us feel unwelcome from the start—it was just plain unpleasant. Throughout the meal, their attitude made it seem like it was entirely our fault for not booking ahead. Managing walk-ins and reservations is part of a restaurant’s job, but they made us feel like we had interrupted their busiest time just to get a free meal. We drove an hour just for their food, but their rude behavior made it impossible to enjoy. They didn’t even handle our request for extra spicy correctly, and we had to ask for extra sauce, which still didn’t taste as expected—it could’ve easily been cooked with it. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Wow! We had such a delicious starter, the samosas were so good! We are very excited and will definitely come back! If you are in Mannheim and want to eat Indian food, this is the right place! For the main course we had Tadka Daal and Chicken Ticka Masala, which were also excellent. As you can read, we are very excited🥰😂

Food was very tasty. The restaurant is small and densely furnished. It gets uncomfortably warm on hot days and the waitress rarely found her way to our table.

There is very good Indian food here, as well as numerous vegan and vegetarian dishes. You can also order the dishes spicy. Ordering for takeaway food works by phone. The food is usually ready for pickup after 20 minutes. I think it is very tasty, especially Bhindi Masala. I would get food there more often if there were reusable packaging.

Five stars based on the food - incredible, tasty, and generous sizes. Note 1: for non-German speakers, it’s a CASH ONLY business. They have no card facilities. Note 2: for Australians/Kiwis - their butter chicken is delicious, but based in almond/cashew sauce like a korma, not tomato like we are used to! The older woman who served could smile occasionally - she came across as quite surly and a little rude. However, the younger woman was very pleasant and helpful - so go prepared, take cash, it’s worth it!

Best Indian Restaurant in Town! Best Indian restaurant in a long time in Europe! Love it

The restaurant is really an insider tip. The food cannot in fact be compared to the Indian food at traditional Indian restaurants, whether in Mannheim or Heidelberg. It is relatively small and quite unspectacularly furnished. But that's exactly what makes it so unique. The food is excellently prepared and far exceeds all expectations. The service is very attentive and very friendly. I can only recommend the restaurant. I'll be back soon.

We had a great meal at NAAN&CURRY yesterday! Arrived spontaneously as a group of three, no reservations, but the friendly innkeeper still arranged a place for us. The restaurant is small, very simple but cozy and at the end full to the brim with guests. Our food came quite quickly. It was very tasty, in my opinion prepared and seasoned quite authentically, not just the obvious filling stuff. We immediately decided to come soon with the whole family and continue the expedition through the large menu! That day the weather was very humid and it was raining heavily, so it was very warm in the packed restaurant, which didn't bother us or the well-mixed, lively audience at all.

Each meal was special.. The tastes were not the same.. Each taste has its own flavor. We took chicken tikka masala, chicken with mushrooms and garlic, and curry chicken with fenugreek and yogurt. We also took pakora and garlic bread.. I advise everyone to come, I will try to come back again before I travel to taste the rest of the delicious flavors.. from He likes strong tastes without being too hot. My advice to you is this place. According to what they say, the food is halal, except for meals that say that chicken should be soaked in wine.

Unfortunately I have to revise some of my first review. The food is indeed tastier compared to some other Indian takeaways. However, the service is below average. Often you don't get what you ordered over the phone. In addition, there is no correct invoice with VAT shown and no option for card payment. I also experienced how a tourist who relied on being able to pay by card was treated unkindly. For these reasons I would personally avoid the store.

The billing is a disgrace. Payment can only be made in cash and invoices or hospitality receipts will not be issued. If you request a receipt, an additional 19% will be added to the stated prices.

The restaurant is very busy and hectic and the seating space is very small. The service was very unfriendly and it is not possible to pay by card. In addition, you will not receive an invoice. The food itself isn't bad, especially the naan bread is very good. The sauce could have a more intense taste and a thicker consistency; overall it seems watery.

Very rude service, food okay. We won't eat there again. At the end no invoice will be issued.

Update 2: The service has become even more arrogant and unprofessional since recent visits. The request for the invoice is ignored. Instead, two people find it more important to sort cutlery. You have to go to the counter to finally be able to pay. Nowadays the food is no longer as convincing. This was the last time I was a guest here (after more than four years of frequent visits). Update: I'm changing my previous 5 star rating to 1 star. It's truly incomprehensible these days how such a popular restaurant can't accept card payments. That can only mean that the customers don't give a damn. (Especially since I remember paying by card here in the past.)

Been here many times. - This restaurant is not good at biryani, so don’t order it. Except biryani everything else is good. - The naan is very good, and the appetizer naan is also very good. - Vegetarian food is good. - The service has always been very bad. The biryani clearly brought a yogurt, but they didn't remind me when I ordered another yogurt.

Yesterday I went to Naan Curry with a friend. The Indian restaurant was small but not overly busy. The waitress was unfriendly and matter-of-fact. We wanted to find out about the spices and we weren't served. We had to wait 30 minutes for the lady to come back and take our order. And then after 10 minutes she came and informed us that our orders were not available. Pure unprofessionalism and unfriendliness. Afterwards we would have to leave the restaurant without eating. It's a waste of time! Absolutely not recommended.

This place doesn't accept cards. They make hand bills! They were really rude, not friendly and non-professional when we noticed a mistake in the bill and asked them to correct it. The food is OK but not the best compared to the other indean restaurants in the area that we tried.

The best Indian Restaurant in Mannheim/ HD .. for me personally, it feels more like being with my family .. being at home:) And now they even offer Poori Bhaji .. something that I have been craving for forever :D

I regret to inform you that my experience at Naan & Curry was utterly disappointing. The food was simply appalling, lacking in taste and quality. The samosa chat was bland, accompanied by plain yogurt instead of the expected sweet yogurt and tamarind chutney. The baigan ka bharta was a disaster, drowning in excessive red chili powder and overwhelmed by potatoes and peas. The chicken tikka masala was served as roasted chicken with a separate curry, and the chicken itself was overly tangy due to an excessive amount of vinegar. Even the naan, which came in large portions, was undercooked, resulting in wastage. To add insult to injury, when we voiced our concerns about the poor quality of the food, the unresponsive staff offered no resolution. Instead, the overweight owner of the establishment decided to engage in a confrontation, hurling racist remarks about our cultural background and implying that we had no right to critique their cuisine. Despite being familiar with Indian cuisine, having hailed from Delhi myself, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and respect exhibited by the restaurant staff. In conclusion, Naan & Curry is an absolute waste of money and an establishment I would strongly advise against patronizing.

The tandoori items are very tasty. One of the few restaurants close to real Indian flavours. Must try butter garlic naan. You will be full with just one. Aloo tikki chat was yummy! Must try as an appetizer. Place is not that big. Its better you reserve if going on a weekend.

A small place. But always busy and crowdy. They make amazing food, toned down to European palate. All the flavors are passed according to european palate, so you can truly enjoy the Indian flavor. I must admit that this is one the best Indian restaurants for Europeans.

A truly outstanding Indian restaurant! The food is very good and impresses with its authentic and complex taste and freshness. Nothing is overcooked or heavy with cream, instead there is the variety of flavors and textures that define Indian cuisines. Always happy and almost every time a little trip to India in between. Definitely a must try if you are looking for very good Indian food!

We can fully recommend this Indian place to everyone. Very tasty food, not just “standard Indian”, price/performance also top. Please don't expect anything elegant. The staff were super friendly and quick even though it was full. We just don't give the fifth service star because we had to wait 15 minutes despite having a reservation.

Very good food, moderate prices

For dinner for two. Starter a Nan bread and 3 different dips, nothing special. The food was quite ok, although it had better Indian food or Indian street food, but the taste was good. The plates on which the starter was eaten were not swapped. It doesn't have to be, it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the feeling of street food, just because I have to eat the starter and main course from the same plate. The service was quite strange. When we got the main course, a spoon 🥄 with sauce flew through the air, which she accidentally touched when changing the dishes. There was a short “sorry” and the bowls with the new food were then simply placed on top of the leftover sauce that had flown onto the table without wiping the table. We then wiped the table ourselves as best we could with napkins. They didn't even ask if anything got on their clothes. Even so, little attention was paid to ensuring that the table was clean when eating. Empty dishes were also cleared away very timidly, so you always had dirty dishes in front of you. Even at the end, when we only had the drinks, the table wasn't even cleaned. All in all, a little too much street food feeling for my taste, but it doesn't have to be that much. It was worth a try.

Unfortunately, delivery took forever, over 100 minutes. The food was super tasty. But one of two dishes was not what was ordered.

I have been to this establishment before and food was good. However my 2nd visit was disappointing.Food wasn't as good as before especially the biryani. Also the waitress came with bill before we could finish, we felt so awkward with this sort of treatment 😐 it was sad even because I had fond memory of my 1st ever Indian food in Mannheim here. Hoping they could improve.

Very tasty, authentic Indian food, friendly and attentive staff, fair prices. Absolutely recommended, we would like to come back when we are nearby (visiting family at the Technoseum nearby) I have to deduct one star because unfortunately only cash payment is possible. A bit disadvantageous, especially for families, if you no longer have enough cash on hand. Because going to the ATM first so you can eat there afterwards isn't really an option. In times of NFC, contactless payments, Google and Apple Pay, only Cash is no longer quite up to date... 😉

Hervorragendes Essen welches sich vom ansonsten immer ähnlichen Angebot abhebt. Es macht einen durchaus authentischen Eindruck. Service ist schnell und effektiv! Alle bestens und alle fünf Sterne sind wirklich mit guter Qualität über alle Bereiche verdient!

‘Proper Indian’ Restaurant with perfect tasting Indian food. Ordered garlic naan and kadai paneer. Quantity of curry was lesser than expected for two people. Complimentary papad, pickles, 3chutneys. Good ambiance. Small and cozy place- visit at odd hours when it’s not full to get the best experience. Spot on spice for Indian eaters. Clean toilets. Can only recommend. Hospitable staff- wish this restaurant great success
