Delicious authentic Indian food, two and a half hours lunch buffet, plenty of time, clean environment, I often have the lunch buffet, the price is only 11 euros, very cost-effective.

We have been coming here for many years and have never been disappointed. This time too, the food was very good both in terms of quality and quantity. Many thanks to the entire team.

The hospitality and food in particular is top notch, one of the best experiences in for indian food till now. They even customise the order for one’s preference for best taste and avoid wastage of food. The Ambience is authentic and pure thus making it feel like home. Highly recommended this restaurant.

Date:- 12th April 2025 My review as a Indian Man. The food very bad and curry was very sweet like sweet dish. The waiter asked me for feedback and when I was giving my feedback, he said it is my mistake because the food has to be sweet and I have to tell them before, when I give my order. Sorry??? It’s curry, not a juice. Curry has to be salty, not sweet. I was speaking Hindi because nobody can understand and they don’t lose their customers but it was my mistake. I have to speak German so that everyone can understand and nobody will come again. Learn customer service because it’s an Indian restaurant and don’t forget Indian culture and moral values.

Had a really tasty meal again today. Nice and quick service. The two of us had a tandoori dish with super tender lamb, a vegetarian main course, and extra Garlic Nan. A harmonious combination and more than enough in quantity. We'd love to come back.

I recently visited this restaurant and absolutely loved it! The Chicken Mango Curry was incredibly tasty – perfectly spiced and with a pleasant sweetness. The Garlic Naan was also excellent: fresh, fluffy and nice and crispy. The service was also great! Our waiter was very friendly, attentive and looked after us well. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting - you immediately feel at home. Overall a great experience - I'll definitely be back!

Best Indian restaurant in Mannheim 😍❤️ If you love the culinary flair of Indian food and the entire culture, you should have eaten here at least once. The entire interior design, the ambience, the service and the background music are appropriately authentic and immerse you in the magic of Indian cuisine.

We tried starters, a soup and two dishes. We found all the dishes absolutely delicious. The Chili Garlic Nan is recommended. As you can imagine, it was a bit overeating. We took it with us and happily ate the main courses for the 2nd time. :-D!

I recently went to the Prince of India and it was really great! We ordered butter chicken, and wow, that was to die for! The chicken was super tender and the sauce was nice and creamy and really flavorful. Perfect for dipping with the Garlic Naan we ordered with it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was totally cozy and inviting. The staff was friendly and really looked after us well. If you're in the mood for delicious Indian food in Mannheim's Schwetzigerstadt, be sure to stop by the Prince of India!

I had a great experience at this Indian restaurant! The service was warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. I've been ordering there for almost two years, but the staff (especially Robin) is always friendly, helpful and very polite. The food is super delicious and everything is always available.

Very good food but be careful that even the non-marked dishes might be spicier than you expect.

We ate with children. I ordered butter chicken twice and once some spinach and once (150/153/154) all mild dishes supposedly not spicy because we asked because of the children. Since yesterday evening I've been to the toilet 3 times. Correction, now it's 1 p.m. I've already been to the toilet 7 times. Everyone can judge for themselves whether it's the food or the spiciness that I can tolerate no matter where, whether Turkish, Arabic, Asian. Be careful with the food if it is fresh!!!!!! Unfortunately it came as extremely spicy that we got 1 x new butter chicken, this time mild as it should be. The other one was not changed. Because of the children, we asked the other dish with rice if it was also mild and they said yes. Unfortunately, the hottest is not edible without additional yogurt. Children had to have dinner again at home. Unfortunately the visit was a failure. The toilet facility can also be renewed should it be cleaner and more renovated. What was unfortunately also not good was the Na bread with too many Italian herbs, which I don't think is at all Indian as we know it. It also came before the meal so that we were almost full before the main meal arrived. Too bad. But there are better Indian restaurants. What else should be mentioned is that the chicken was partly not tender and soft but rather firm and well, you can decide for yourself the rest.

We all ordered mild dishes. Food was too spicy, including butter chicken, which is 0 spicy in India Delhi... Garlic Naan didn't taste fresh and was seasoned with oregano... no garlic tasted. When asked whether the dishes were child-friendly, the waiter answered in the affirmative. Children leave hungry. I like to eat Indian food often. This restaurant is definitely not recommended.

Good fast and polite service. Had chicken tikka masala, nan bread, some white wine and mango Lassi that was delicious (order big glass and thank me later). All together 30€

Food wasn't bad. However, first two starters were forgotten, then the wrong dish was brought, which was not a lamb fillet but a minced meat roll. Were there with 7 people and couldn't split the bill per couple. “Only the whole table works”

Were here for the first time! And I think we did everything right in the evening and shared the menu for 2 people! The starter, the fried mixed dish, was okay, but I can do it better at home! The main course was delicious, and I can do the mango dessert better at home! The service was unimpressed, deeply relaxed and almost non-existent....

Heute mal wieder dort gewesen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Mit dem Schlemmerblock sehr wohltuend umgegangen. Der Service könnte etwas gesprächiger sein. Ansonsten war alles top.

The wrong food was delivered twice!

Went there last night for a buffet meal. Price/performance ratio ok. However, there were only 2 main courses and 2 side dishes to choose from...we found that a bit low. The term “buffet” suggested to us that there was a larger selection. The dishes offered on the buffet were well prepared. Service was a bit inattentive... why the used buffet dishes (soup cups, used plates) were only cleared away when we had finished eating remains the host's secret. Ambience okay.

Food is good, nan’s were not cooked properly No taste in food . I took buffet, I items in veg were very less .a lot of baking soda was added in buffet food. Suger was also added in the food 😢😮😮. It’s an time waste of investing money for food in this restaurant

It was just mediocre considering the price. The dishes, evening buffet, have a lot of flavor enhancers. That's derogatory to me. Toilets not clean, lots of scented stones.

Were there yesterday, July 31, 2024, with 4 other colleagues for the lunch buffet. The food tasted ok and would have gotten more stars if we weren't all - but really all - lying flat today with gastrointestinal problems. It woke me up during the night and the others had a similar experience. Nobody really needs that!

The dishes are all really very tasty. Portions are appropriate, large and you will be full. The buffet that is offered at lunchtime is also lavish and everyone will find something. The mango lassi is very tasty. The restaurant is not in the best location in Mannheim. But the owners were very nice and accommodating.

I went to the lunch buffet for the first time this week to get a first impression of the restaurant. There were three vegetarian curries (vegetable, legumes and egg) and one with chicken. Plus breaded cauliflower and potatoes, spring rolls, salad and dips, rice and bread. The curries were all very runny, the egg curry only had a handful of egg halves. Unfortunately, they were far too spicy for me (even though it said mild everywhere), but they were just about edible with mint yogurt and rice. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the taste because of the spiciness. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a single dessert. A pudding doesn't cost much and leaves a much better impression. There were only a handful of people at lunch (12:15-12:45 p.m.), most of them came alone, so it was very quiet and relaxed. There was also more than enough food. The service was very nice, but sometimes difficult to understand because of the strong accent. Unfortunately, because of the spicy food, the restaurant isn't right for me. But if you can handle it, you can have a cheap and relaxed lunch here.

The first visit to an Indian restaurant. It's a bit hidden and there's a difficult parking situation on site. Tip, park at the bus station and walk for 10 minutes. The Indian style ambience is nice The menu has a lot of choice and the dishes are well described. We had 2x starter platters for 2 people and 4 main courses. The friendly service brought everything promptly and I have to say everything tasted great. A new experience in terms of taste and the price-performance ratio is top. We will definitely visit the Prince of India again.

The 9.9 eur was ok ok, nothing to speak of , but the worst thing is that people were waiting and there were no chicken and fish curry in the pot but they were still accepting guests , no coordination with the kitchen , a buffet should look and feel like a buffet

We found this restaurant by chance while walking towards the water tower and encountered friendly service and tasty Indian food. In retrospect, I read some negative comments here, but I can't confirm them.
