Very nice atmosphere, the food was truly delicious and unique in taste, the service was polite and competent, the owner cleared the tables at the end and chatted with us briefly – that was very nice, would gladly come again!

We had dinner at the Indian Palace for the first time tonight. The food was fantastic, the portions were very generous, and the service was friendly. If we were in the area more often, this restaurant would definitely become one of our regulars. The value for money is definitely reasonable.

Went there today with a group. The appetizers were incredibly delicious, the main courses were delicious, and the meat was particularly tender. The service was also excellent, and the food arrived relatively quickly. Completely satisfied, we'd be happy to come back and definitely recommend the place!

[08.09.2025] From three stars to one star today! Today, when I was paying, I was told I couldn't take multiple plates at the buffet. I said they always take a new plate at the buffet for hygiene reasons. They wouldn't do that anywhere else, they were the best restaurant in Mannheim!? However, the manager personally gave me a plate for the poppadoms so they wouldn't end up on the napkin. The response was that there was no manager here. How do they talk to me as the best restaurant, which I can't even do, even though I've been doing it for a long time!? It would be different if they asked me to do it as the best restaurant in Mannheim! That's how you scare away customers! Absolutely terrible service. They don't even clear the tables in between, and they take a long time for the bill, so you can pay. As the best restaurant in Mannheim! There's still a lot of room for improvement! Good staff end up moving to 5-star hotels/restaurants. Too bad, I liked the woman! Maybe the employees should get some hygiene training from the health department and be friendlier to customers instead of lying to them! I can and I will again! That's suggestive! I'm not going to let a Shudra (waiter) tell me how to behave at the buffet!? Have you read and understood the GuRu Gita and the Bhagavad Gita? And that as a regular customer. As the best restaurant in Mannheim, you should actually remind every customer who returns to the buffet with a used plate to use a new one!? The majority do it wrong, and the few who behave correctly are forced to behave incorrectly!? I won't be back for a while! Maybe the boss, who doesn't exist, is reading this review! Maybe the boss has passed away since then, he had to go to dialysis often. If not, stay healthy by practicing hygiene and getting a new plate at the buffet! [July 2, 2024] Lunch buffet for €13.90 including a small drink. There was rice, dal soup, palak paneer, dal makhini, chicken kahari, chicken tikka, salad, papadum, bread, various sauces, and dessert. The dishes probably change depending on what's left over from the day before. That's the basic principle of a buffet: offering yesterday's food at a discount; most people seem to do that. It's a win-win situation! The health department also approves! When I was the first customer there, THE FOOD WAS COLD! The hot plates then heat up the food! The door didn't open until 11:45 AM. The best Indian food outside of India? Maybe in Mannheim. However, I had the best Indian food in Frankfurt. All in all, it was quite OK. [08.07.2024] THE FOOD WAS COLD, so because of your claim to the contrary, I'm deducting one star from four to three! What a shame!...

The alleged Neon Taste deal was simply not honored afterward, even though the waiter assured me he had noted it. Furthermore, the side order, which was ordered with garlic naan, was charged at over 100% – a completely absurd practice. When asked about it, the only response was a laconic "that's just how it is." Customer friendliness was zero. For me, it's clear: not a second time.

The food is truly delicious. There's a wide selection, so there's something for everyone. The staff is also very friendly, and the ambiance is truly wonderful.

We go here at least once a month, and the food is simply 5-star. The staff here are also very nice. But unfortunately, we usually sit here alone... so please come here because we think as many people as possible should try the food here.

Lunch buffet 13.90 includes dessert, salad, and a small drink. Always a vegetarian selection, plus one or two chicken options. Never crowded, always a seat.

The atmosphere was very pleasant and quiet; we were there from about 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The food was really delicious, but unfortunately we had to wait quite a while (about 25 minutes).

The Indian food was simply outstanding! The appetizer itself was a delight, and the main courses delighted us with their perfect balance of flavors and spices. The Indian spices came through beautifully, without being too spicy or overpowering. Everything was fresh, aromatic, and lovingly prepared. We had a gourmet meal plan and, of course, redeemed it – calling all you gourmet meal plan enthusiasts: Go on, absolutely come here! There's absolutely nothing to complain about – we'd love to come back!

Food super, service super but unfortunately too warm no air conditioning

We had the great pleasure of dining at the Indian Palace today – and it was an all-around fantastic experience! We ordered Karahi Gosht and Murgh Palak, and both dishes were simply outstanding. The meat in the Karahi Gosht was tender and perfectly seasoned, with a wonderfully aromatic sauce. The Murgh Palak was creamy, spicy, and incredibly harmonious in flavor – exactly what you would expect from a good Indian dish. The service was also extremely friendly, attentive, and warm, without being intrusive. The ambiance in the restaurant is warm and inviting, making you feel immediately at home. We are completely satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend the Indian Palace – we will definitely be back!

I was really craving lamb steak with grilled vegetables, but couldn't find anything anywhere. My hunger, or rather, my appetite, was greater than my understanding. Conclusion: Bitterly disappointed with the quality and preparation of the food. It wasn't fresh or crunchy, and I don't think I'm a fan of Indian cuisine after this experience. Chai latte, at most, but that's about it!

We decided to try the Neotaste offer of 1+1 on the main course yesterday evening. Food was definitely better than some of the Indian places we have been to in Mannheim although not the best but tasty nevertheless. Their breads are very nice and try the Dal makhani.

We went on 28th May, We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. First of all, they only accept cash – which is quite inconvenient. The waiter seemed totally clueless about what to serve, and to be honest, his appearance was not professional at all. The service felt careless, and the food wasn’t good either. The only thing we liked was the Pakoras, which was okay. Overall, not recommended.

The food tasted fantastic, just as Indian cuisine should be. You just have to wait a while for your food, and you get the hot meal first, followed by the side dish minutes later. The value for money is okay.

An authentic Indian restaurant with delicious food. The food, which was ordered extra spicy, initially arrived completely unseasoned, but after a complaint, it was immediately changed to extra spicy. Deductions for the spotlights hanging from the ceiling, the loose toilet seat, and the curtain rods that threatened to fall down. All in all, though, it was good.

Quite tasty Indian food, extensive menu. Ambience a bit old-fashioned, toilets urgently need to be renovated.

Stopped by spontaneously for chai and desserts, which were quite nice. The restaurant is conveniently close to Mannheim Hbf, though the indoor seating feels a bit congested. Service was good overall.

The two of us ate here in a great Indian atmosphere, for example there is a figure of a god on a pillar, Ganisha is probably responsible for intelligence. There was a helping of rice and we were served very friendly. So we had a pleasant evening in the restaurant, which we enjoyed there for a long time.

The best Indian restaurant in Mannheim.

Today is my first time at the Indian Palace restaurant. After I announced Neotaste, the hospitality from the waitress dropped. I was told by a couple of stupid comments that “I should cook myself at home” and the waitress complained to her colleague because I didn’t order a drink. I pay for the service here, I don't eat for free; but such comments (they didn't know that I had overheard) are not necessary and I would never come back... it's a real shame.

The food here can be almost 100% authentic if requested in advance. I have ordered many times and overall it has been a great experience. Update: I have been a regular customer as indicated by my review above. However, last week everything changed. I had placed an order online. Not only did the restaurant cancel the order at the very last moment but they also accused me of providing only negative reviews in the past. I would like to say that I have never given unfair negative reviews to any establishment.

We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for a long time, frequently dining in and ordering delivery. However, after tonight’s experience, we will NEVER order from them again. We placed an order that was supposed to arrive at 19:00. At 19:30, with no update, we called the restaurant, only to be informed RUDELY that our order had been canceled. Their reason? They claimed we had previously left negative reviews. This is a blatant lie. We have NEVER left a negative review before. Not only did they cancel our order without informing us, but their attitude on the phone was absolutely unacceptable. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, they were dismissive and rude, treating a loyal customer with complete disrespect. This level of unprofessionalism is shocking. If this is how they treat regular customers, I can only imagine how they handle others. Stay away from this place. There are plenty of restaurants that actually appreciate their customers.

The cuisine is very tasty, spicy and very tender meat. The service always came with a nice smile and despite a mistake in one of our dishes, everything turned out well in the end. We were extremely satisfied and would happily recommend the restaurant.

I had dinner in the restaurant with my friends for my birthday, the service was very good and attentive, and there was also a few jokes. I had a grill plate with butter chicken sauce. It really tasted very good and even I, as a tall man, felt full. Definitely go back :))

I am from Ireland and eat Indian food very regularly and I can say hand on my hart the Indian palace is as good as it gets the madras and vindaloo is spot on

We were there on December 19th. here. My partner and I were here on a day trip and wanted something good to eat before we left to end the day nicely. We actually planned to go to an Italian restaurant but couldn't find one. We discovered the Indian Palace by chance. Then we went in spontaneously and were immediately impressed! The ambience, the furniture, the decor! Really beautifully made and looks very authentic! The waiters were very friendly and the food didn't take too long. The prices were OK and the food was delicious. The portions were also large. What's particularly great is that you can get things here that you've never heard of before. If the restaurant were in Düsseldorf, I would be here once a month to try out the menu. I absolutely cannot understand the bad reviews! They must have made a mistake in the address. Thanks to the Indian Palace team for the great experience!

Wir waren schonmal vor längerer Zeit dort und sind jetzt wegen dem Schlemmergutschein zurückgekommen. Eine sehr gute Wahl! Damals hatten wir ein Menü von dem wir jedes Gericht genossen hatten, diesmal nur zwei Gerichte und Lassi. Der Palak Paneer (den ich immer in indischen Restaurants nehme), war außergewöhnlich gewürzt und das Tandoori fantastisch angerichtet!

Very tasty food. We tried Chicken Jalfrezi and Tarka Daal with rice and nan. The portions are large, enough for two people. Mango Lassi is the best soft drink, definitely try it! The ambience of the restaurant is calming and the staff are super friendly. We had a lovely time.

Food tastes very good. Ajser and Joy are very good waiters. They both have a wonderful sense of humor and the well-being of their guests is very important to them. The owner and the owner are both very kind and warm-hearted, they continually look after the customers and you feel very cared for and welcome. And I don't even want to start writing about how beautiful the restaurant is. Everything is perfect: the staff, the restaurant and of course the food. Exactly what you want. 😇 There is also a large and delicious selection for vegetarians. The four vegetarians were all very happy with their food. Top restaurant, I can recommend a visit to everyone. If you haven't been to the Indian Palace yet, you're really missing out. PS: A big thank you again to Joy, who made our visit so sweet with his cool manner!

We ordered 2 daal makhani and Kadayi chicken. Chicken was amazinf however as usual daal makhani was spoiled. May be 2-3 days old. I called and confronted the restrauant, udasitynof the owner was, if you dint like the taste why did you even order? This happened 2nd time specially when you have a Leiferando order stamp. I felt good that being north Indian there is taste available but did not expect owner to send spoiled food even after spending hefty money. Whole daal is in the bin as you can see from image

Good, delicious food. Many vegetarian and (undeclared) vegan dishes. But the resourceful vegan recognizes this. What annoyed us personally a bit, but that's a personal opinion, were the very steaming/roasting dishes, which made the rather small dining room very smokey. But that's really complaining at a high level🫣🙂

During Europe tour, we were taken to Indian Palace for dinner. The restaurant is located at a calm neighborhood and has nice ambience. We were served buffet dinner, which had decent veg and non-veg options, foods were tasty too. Overall, a good peaceful dining option of Indian cuisine.

I've been visiting there since last 2 years at many times & every time food and drinks were delicious. Would like to give an extra star to Service and Staff behaviour. It is always welcoming & you will feel friendly there. Joy's interpersonal skills are too good and during one instance, he handled an unwanted guests in a way good manner. Ajsar is always soft, sweet and too quick to respond. Most people love to go there again and again due to good food and Staff response.

If you're a vegetarian with tons of onions in your food, this is definitely the right place for you. But anyone who relies on the contents of the menu will be disappointed! There is no response in the restaurant to such complaints! In this specific case, I ordered a dish with lamb and peppers. A pot was served with the contents of approx. 10% peppers, 10% meat, 40% sauce, and another 40% onions! However, according to the menu, onions were not part of the dish. When the waitress complained that there were a lot of onions in the food and that they weren't on the menu, the answer was "yes" No apology or we will correct the mistake. It may be that peppers and meat were no longer available in the required quantity due to the late hour. But filling the whole thing with onions without asking is actually not possible!!! There are two stars because the rice and sauce were quite good.

Fully Vegetarian couple this side. Dal Makhni was good. Shahi Paneer was so sweet that we could have it for dessert.
