Delicious. Food was very well seasoned, slightly spicy definitely perhaps manageable, mild definitely mild. We'll be back.

The three of us were there at 5pm sharp when it opened on a Saturday. Unfortunately there was still vacuuming going on. We got a good table that was very large. The service was friendly and funny. The selection is good, but now expensive, like everywhere else. My Aloo Gobi was very good! At the end there was a small free dessert, which was nice but also confusing because 2 for 3 people. Cash and debit card payment possible.

I can only recommend the restaurant. The food is extremely tasty (and authentic), the service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. To be honest, I can't understand some of the bad reviews. There were three of us there and everything was great.

Ordered a nice vegetarian meal and got a nasty surprise—a piece of chicken in my dish! The food was bland and tasteless, and the service was awful. To top it off, the owner is a bullish person with no apology whatsoever. Never going back. And never ordering again.

A year ago really good food was delivered quickly and it was warm. Now half of it is missing and it's cold and tastes like nothing. Unfortunately, it has deteriorated very badly

The restaurant had gorgeous interiors which gave it a lively indian atmosphere. The food was also tasty but still couldnt match upto the indian expectations, they were doubtlessly tasty but just not very authentic. It's worth a try based on the dishes you order. The malai kofta was an issue because it had no similarities whatsoever to what I've experienced in India or other indian dine-outs so I'd not recommend that but otherwise it's worth a try! THE NAAN WAS AMAZING! Best I've had so far

Unfortunately the menu on the homepage is out of date!!! The prices are no longer current and are now significantly higher. With the new prices, the price-performance ratio is no longer right in terms of the quality of the dishes. The taste of the food was okay, but unfortunately nothing more

Food and service are quite good, easy to reach by public transport, but a problem with the car. There are no free parking spaces, at least not nearby. There are only paid parking options nearby

We immediately felt very comfortable and welcome. The food was very tasty and plentiful. The dessert came as a surprise, as our son put it (cake and cookie on mango cream in a glass) and tasted fantastic. As he walked he was given a small Milka tablet (very child-friendly) because he was very polite. We'd love to come back. Namaste.

We had a buffet, the food was ok but the selection was very small. There were 3 main courses plus a side dish and starters.

I was in this restaurant for the first time yesterday. If I didn't know Indian cuisine, my rating would be better. The quality of the food itself was very good, only the dessert was bad. What really limits my enthusiasm is that the individual aromas of the spices don't come into their own. The sauces, although described as masala or curry or whatever, taste very tomatoey and spicy, have different levels of spice and are heavily salted without being salty. But I missed the typical curry or masala taste, which is based on the combination of various fine spices. If you want to experience these spices in a more differentiated and better way, go to the Maharajah in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. There you can also taste the remaining spices involved in the hot sauces. It's really hard to find suitable words for this difference in taste, because to call House of India bad would be unfair and inaccurate. Only the dessert was wrong. It is described as a semifreddo with honey milk and almonds and was quite bland with the mango involved. It's called Kulfi and I know it much differently and better from Neustadt, sorry. What was a bit strange was that we didn't pay at the table, we had to go to the cash register. We were a group of seven people who wanted and had to pay separately. Maybe that was the reason. Still, I don't know it that way.

I really love this place - great atmosphere and friendly staff. Nice seating with good views of the theatre and passers-by. I’m a fan of the chicken tikka masala. Prices are a bit high but nice for treating yourself or friends.

Schönes Ambiente, leider hielt das Essen nicht mit. Die typische indische Würze fehlte, hatte Tandoori Bhuna Mix Grill (Lamm und Huhn scharf) bestellt, von Schärfe aber keine Spur. Der Coconut-Lassi war ein Joghurtdrink ohne Coconut. Pakora Mix als Vorspeise, da waren die Soßen das Leckerste, sobald die Stücke kalt waren, schmeckt Huhn, Fisch und Blumenkohl gleich. Schade.

Have visited a few times over the past year. Decent food for decent prices. But I had seen huge price difference for Lieferando orders once but unsure about the current scenario.

Wir sind als Gruppe mit sechs Personen in das House of India Essen gegangen, da wir alle einen Schlemmerblock besitzen und mal etwas Neues ausprobieren wollten. Zu Beginn waren wir positiv überrascht, da das Restaurant gut besucht war. Doch auch wenn das Essen ganz gut geschmeckt hat und man auf alle Fälle den indischen Flair gespürt hat, gibt es einige Kritikpunkte. Die Bedienungen haben uns teilweise äußerst lange warten lassen und Tische, die nach uns besetzt wurden, durch schnelleren Service bevorzugt. Das Servicepersonal war äußerst gefühlskalt und tat sich schwer damit nach uns zu schauen und man musste aktiv auf sie zugehen, um bspw. Zahlen zu können. Die Luft im Restaurant war stickig und die Speisekarte etwas klebrig… Alles in allem kann man dort ganz ordentlich indisch Essen gehen, doch darf man nicht mit einem gut geschulten Personal und einem herausragendem Ambiente rechnen.

Wow place if you like authentic India food… You will love it if you like spicy 🌶 food.. The quality of Naan is outstanding 😋😋 Old interior which is not so 5-strat but if you are Indian then the test is amazing I would say must go 🥁🥁 Easily accessible with tramp and they have options for buffet as well. For Non-veg lovers I think you will love the options available Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Waren zu viert essen und jeder fand das Essen sehr gut. Wurde auf Warmhalteplatten mit einer üppigen Portion an Reis serviert. Wenn man scharf bestellt, ist es auch wirklich scharf. Werden wiederkommen.

Das Rindfleisch war zäh. Ich würde nicht mehr hingehen.

Fantastic food, the naan, is really one of ghe best I ever had in an Indian restaurant in Germany. The menu is also rich on choice, everyone can find something on the menu. Very friendly and forthcoming, very good service

Sind erst später am Abend gegen 20 Uhr Samstags eingekehrt und wurde Freundlich empfangen. Wir wollten dieses Restaurant ausprobieren da wir im Besitz 2 Schlemmerblöcke waren und dadurch hier einen Rabatt erhalten würden auf das Speiseabgebot. Später aber dazu mehr. Restaurant war gut besucht aber nicht voll und somit haben wir unproblematisch einen Tisch bekommen. Die Hetränke kamen flott genauso die Hauptspeise nur auf das Hauptgericht mussten wir länger warten. Kam dann aber auch. Das Essen wird in Pfannen auf Stöfchen warm gehalten. Reis war immer für 2 Personen abgemessen. Haben verschiedene Gerichte aus der Karte bestellt um untereinander austauschen und probieren zu können. Reisportionen sehr uppig, dagegen sehr sehr wenig Fleisch und Fisch in den Gerichten. Die verschiedenen Speisen haben geschmacklich aber sehr zugesagt. Beim bezahlen teilten wir mit das wir im Besitz der Schlemmerblöcke seien und somit von den Rabatten Gebrauch machen wollen. Der Ton und die Freundlichkeit war plötzlich verfolgen und man sagte uns oh da müssen wir erst schauen etc. Getrennt bezahlen ging dann auch nicht mehr. Alles in allem hat es am Ende an Professionalität gefehlt, wenn man bei einer solchen Aktion mitmacht, dann kommen halt auch Leute vorbei die die Gutscheine einlösen. Nichtsdestotrotz 4 Sterne.

Tandoori Tikka Masala mit Lammfilet extrem lecker, nie so gut gegessen. Service auch sehr angenehm.

Gestern haben wir bei euch über den Lieferando Service bestellt. Es wurde pünktlich geliefert. Sonst sitzen wir gerne direkt bei euch. Wie immer war das Fleisch und das Brot sehr lecker. Uns fehlt der Pep etwas bei den Soßen, sowie beim Gemüse. Vor Ort sind die fehlenden Parkplätze zu bemängeln. Räumlich ist das Restaurant sehr gut eingerichtet, bis auf die Toiletten. Der Blick von außen ist enttäuschend... da kann man aber selbst nicht viel verändern. Dafür ist der Service sehr nett. Wir kommen wieder. ;)

Das Restaurant ist sauber geführt und das Essen war im großen und ganzen in Ordnung. Allerdings hat mir persönlich der WOW Effekt gefehlt.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber halt indisch

Ich hab zum abholen bestellt. Innerhalb von 15 Minuten war alles fix fertig. Die Preis Leistung war sehr gut und das Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Vielleicht hätte das Essen noch stärker gewürzt sein, aber es war trotzdem gut. Was mir besonders gut gefallen hat war das die Portion schön groß war. Gerne komme ich wieder

Das Lokal sieht beim ersten Eindruck schon etwas abgenutzt aus, vor allem die Speisekarte. Der Service ist zuvorkommend. Das Essen war ok, allerdings sehr mächtig, so dass die nicht zu große Portion trotzdem sehr im Magen lag. Auch das Gestühl wird nach einer Stunde sehr ungemütlich; also kein Restaurant für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Würde ich demnächst privat gleich wieder hingehen wollen? Eher nicht; aber mit Kollegen spontan nach Feierabend immer wieder gerne mal.

Stilvoll eingerichtet, gemütlich und ein angenehmer Duft liegt in der Luft. Hatte Lamm in einer scharfen Sauce. Wobei hier scharf wörtlich zu nehmen ist. Mir stand der Schweiß auf der Stirn. Aber es war sehr lecker. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Almorzamos durante el fin de semana (sin buffet). La experiencia en general estuvo bien, la comida era deliciosa y el servicio estaba bien. Nada estaba fuera de lo común sino un almuerzo decente. El precio fue promedio.

Wir waren hier das zweite Mal nach gute einem 3/4 Jahr hier und der Eindruck ist gleich geblieben: Geschmacklich ein guter Inder, das Gerichte diesmal hat mir sogar etwas besser geschmeckt als das letzte Mal. Leider wurde noch staubsaugt, als wir in das Restaurant kamen, obwohl das Restaurant schon gut 10min offiziell offen hatte. Auch das Interieur, Fensterbänke und Fensterrahmen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und unsere Tischdecke war etwas schmutzig. Der Service war in Ordnung, es gab nichts daran auszusetzen.
