We were there for Iftar today. Very poor service, others were given preference (insan yerine koyulmadik), and I'd prefer not to give it a star. Prices too expensive, food wasn't tasty. Not recommended...

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the team was completely understaffed on Sunday afternoon. There were only two young women to take care of everything.

Never again Mr Chicken. I had dinner there with my colleague and parked in the parking lot in front of the store as usual. Today I suddenly have a bill for 50 euros in my mailbox because I parked without a ticket!? FIFTY euros!? Disgusting, just disgusting. Never again Mr Chicken. You didn't hear the shot.

It's ok to satisfy your stomach, you shouldn't expect anything big. There are cheaper and tastier shops nearby. It shouldn't be surprising that you get the wrong food. Above all, pay attention to PARKING, otherwise it costs €48 where there are poorly signposted parking meters. But the store is well equipped

Nice evening! We were at Mr. Chicken in Gelsenkirchen today on a Saturday evening and were unfortunately treated very unkindly. We wanted to order a warm coffee with vanilla syrup, which was easily prepared for us the day before. However, when we ordered it again today, an employee yelled at us unfriendly and treated us in a very inappropriate tone. Instead of clarifying our concerns politely, we were literally shouted at. Dealing with customers like this is unacceptable. Friendliness and customer service should be a given - unfortunately that wasn't the case here. Very disappointing, we will not be returning again.

I was there very often. The food is ok. Unfortunately the service was catastrophic. The employees serve as if they were forced to work there. Unfortunately, all of them have grimacing faces. Unfortunately, this makes you feel unwelcome. Very unfortunate. Unfortunately, the prices are quite excessive for the poor service. If everything were right, I would understand the expensive prices and be happy to pay them. Ambiance isn't bad but it's been the same for years. There is potential for more.

One star is still too many. BREAKFAST is offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nothing is available at 11am. First you collect money and then you are told that everything is not finished yet and you are given cheap alternatives. The staff barely understands German and the quality of the food is absolutely not worth the overpriced prices.

Nice employees and nice hairdressers

We like to come here for tea or a piece of cake. The fast food offering is also okay, but we like to opt for the café area. The atmosphere is modern and there is a small room where children can play.

The food was tasty but cold! It is also a halal restaurant with boycott drinks. When I canceled the drink in the menu I ordered, I was punished with a cup of juice for €4. The “crazy menu” was more than an insult!! Best regards I don't like coming again

So… First and last visit to Mr chicken. Even at McDonald’s the burger buns are of better quality than here. I'm shocked, 14 euros for a menu to then get such terrible wings and a small burger? Never again. Oh and the “coleslaw” 😂 Is coleslaw with a dollop of tzatziki.

By far the coldest and nastiest food I have ever eaten.

We were there today because we have never been here before. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes. No people in front of us. Nobody came to take our order. The employees, two in number, saw us. Nobody felt addressed. There were 4 people in the store waiting for their food. So the employees certainly didn't have any stress to make excuses. We'll never go there again.

It was just bad and there is still cola from the wrong manufacturer in the cupboard.

Preferably zero points if you pay €3.99 for a dry chicken burger! I specifically asked for more sose to be put on it in the car beforehand and lo and behold there was no sose. Photo follows of the other burgers. Loading horribleness even though you keep trying to give them a chance, unfortunately without success! Never again, that was the last time!

Alta no joke what kind of shabby prices and small portions are these, how can drinks (tea, coffee) be up to 5 euros and 2-3 damn little chicken burgers 10 euros since you overcharged your prices so much, I can't eat there anymore and Customers should stop eating there. I left a bad review a few years ago and will do it again!!! This is by far the worst burger place there is! Customer service is 0... They only hire people who are unable to advise customers or give recommendations for the food they bought, which leads to customers buying more and leaving the store happier! But no, a different language is spoken in front of the customer and politeness is also a foreign word! The food is good but the rest is simply inhuman and doesn't belong in a restaurant!

I have no idea which film the owner lives in, but to charge over €50 for TWO kebabs (menu), a children's box + some kind of bowl is, in my opinion, outrageous.

I've been visiting this store for over 15 years but now the prices are impossible for what you get... I paid €13.99 for a kebab plate (12/26/24) and the box isn't even full... I always said how good it is here etc but unfortunately the prices are no longer acceptable

I was visiting Gelsenkirchen and went to Mr. Chicken with a few friends to have something warm to drink and a snack. The layout of the store made me curious: the counter for fries and burgers is in a different place than the counter for coffee and cake. So I went to the appropriate counter where a young woman was serving. Unfortunately the experience was disappointing. There was no drink menu, and instead you had to read the available options on a slow-moving display on a screen. When I asked the employee what drinks they offer she just pointed at the screen and the machines for coffee and tea without being really helpful. She seemed disinterested and not very motivated. After I thought about which drinks to choose for about 15 seconds, she spoke to me and asked if I had decided yet, as it seemed to bother her that I was still standing there looking. This treatment was unprofessional. A business that offers services should be friendly and attentive to its guests. It is not up to the customer to pay attention to the employees, but rather the employees should be attentive and helpful to the guests. There is still a lot of work to be done here, particularly in training staff to improve how they interact with customers and create a more welcoming atmosphere.

The prices were extremely expensive according to the portions, the burgers were like a stone that had been kept waiting for a long time, especially the cola tasted like water, not like cola. It's a shame, people are disgraced with their money.

The best thing about this place is that they stay late at night (upto 3 a.m.) and that they get the food ready quickly. However, sometimes they have so many customers that you need to wait in line a little time until your turn (5 to 10 minutes). The chicken tastes good, but sometimes it has a weird taste. Drive-thru is available in this restaurant and it is also quick. The restaurant has a drinks and sweets section which is also okay. There is a smoking area outside that is covered and has heaters in winter. There are parking places for customers that can be reserved when entering the restaurand and there are some parking places for bicycles as well. There is a playroom area for kids inside the restaurant, and there is a small playground for children outside the restaurant as well.

I ate couple times here with my wife and kid. Sometimes the chicken is really great and nicely fried/cooked. Other times there is too much fat soaked. Overall l am leaning towards saying its mostly nice

If I could I would give one star. It used to be a good halal alternative. People went for the thick, juicy fries and the delicious, juicy chicken burgers. Nowadays everything is extremely overpriced. The fries were cold and soggy. The kebab meat was dry, cold and still fatty. The chicken burgers are a joke anyway. 2 limp thin slices of bread and between them a small cold piece of chicken. Sauce and salad are missing. If they weren't open so late and people used it as a cafe, they would be bankrupt. PS: I regularly get stomach aches from the cafe because it's so acidic

I was here today with my girlfriend. There were only a few guests there. Ordering felt like it took forever. It was a bit uncomfortable and cold in the restaurant. The food was tasty, but not warm. Too bad.

It's really a shame. No toilet paper in the toilet. As soon as you ask, you should continue to knock in a room and ask. The next employee says she doesn't know where which one is. As a customer, should you run from one person to the next and beg? It wasn't busy, it has to be said, the staff didn't have time to care. I think it would be great if you could see the range of products online somewhere, as I don't like holding up the drive-in counter because I don't know what I want yet. I don't know where to start The service was soooo slow and unfocused. Currywurst with fries, no curry sauce for the nuggets, no sweet and sour sauce, the information came after we had already paid, the kebab was small and nice and cold, the fries were limp, so the conclusion was a total failure 😏

We ordered different dishes, but unfortunately the coordination was anything but ideal. The kebab I ordered had already been prepared while other dishes were still being prepared. This caused my kebab to get cold before I could even start eating. Unfortunately, the taste of the kebab wasn't convincing either - it simply doesn't taste the way it should when cold. In addition, the kebab could have been larger for the price, which is now higher due to the increased prices like everywhere else. The service also left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow, which further detracted from the experience. Overall my visit was disappointing.

I ordered a chicken salad from Mr. Chicken today and was absolutely disappointed. What I got looked like everything but chicken salad. The meat was dry, fatty and looked like it was over a week old. The entire dish seemed carelessly cobbled together. The sight completely ruined my appetite and I ended up not eating it at all. If something isn't changed soon, someone will soon be in the hospital with food poisoning. I apologize for this poor review, but what has to be, has to be. I will definitely not order here again.

It is not the first time we are having a dinner here, this time I had a bad experience with the smelly chicken hot wings. The wings were smelling bad and we asked for a replacement however they gave us again other bad smelling chicken. Furthermore the paper cups🥤had a mouldy smell, most probably they kept the cups in a humid place. This happened now for the second time. The waitresses did not accept 100% the feedback we gave them.

Despite the long wait for the food, the quality of everything wasn't up to par. The fries looked like they were from yesterday. Filet was still ice cold. The color was still the same as it was from the freezer. The most valuable thing in the store is the coffee machine, provided you don't add coffee milk to the coffee. Despite the long shelf life of coffee milk, flakes of milk float in the coffee. Here even the long-life milk is caused to spoil due to probably incorrect storage.

So honestly, Mr. Chicken is very expensive for his name. 2 hamburgers and 1 fries cost a whole €10.79, extremely expensive for a fast food shop.

I actually really enjoy visiting Mr. Chicken, but I've had disappointing experiences on my last few visits. The first time I noticed a strange smell while drinking my cola, it smelled strongly of mold. The smell clearly came from the drink cup. I immediately reported this to the staff, who apologized. I thought something like that could happen and left it at that. Today I was there again and had another problem. My hot wings, which I usually order, had an unpleasant smell. When I bit into it, the taste was simply inedible. I brought my food back and again my drink smelled strongly of mold. I told the staff again. As an apology I was given a fillet burger, which was nice but doesn't solve the real problem. My point is not to get something new, but rather that such hygiene deficiencies are unacceptable. For me, gastronomy also means that hygiene has top priority. I hope that these issues are taken seriously and resolved so that I can happily eat at Mr. Chicken again in the future.

Even though the store was very busy, we were served surprisingly quickly. The staff were extremely friendly. I would particularly like to emphasize the cleanliness of the place - everything was spotless and well-kept. The food was simply excellent and we enjoyed it very much. There is also sufficient parking space. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Didn't find the food that tasty

Please don't try to save on staff, they will ruin your great store. Unfriendly staff, cold food, some of them don't even know what's on the menu. I was there for the first and last time. As a new customer, I would like to receive advice or at least receive a flyer. Well .. really bad on the outside hui on the inside ugh .. sorry. All the best anyway!!

Very unfriendly employees, they think that they work in a luxury hotel and think that they are discussing with customers, they are passive aggressively attacked, the employees have grimacing faces…………… sadly no one forces anyone to work here if they don’t think they are friendly to express that they should please stay at home. Okay, you don't have high expectations in Gelsenkirchen, but if you live in Germany you should know the German language.

I went to Mr. Chicken today and bought a kids meal with fries and nuggets. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The nuggets were OK, but the portion of fries was extremely small. No child will get tired of it, let alone justify the price-performance ratio. For the price of the menu I would have expected a reasonable amount of fries. hope Mr. Chicken reconsiders portion sizes in the future so that customers feel like they are getting a fair value for their money.

I will never come back the first and last time I was here 1. I waited an hour until it was our turn 2 I ordered chicken special Chicken was completely burnt and cold and then we ordered chilli cheese combo in the burger. No cheese at all and the patty was still raw. I'm very disappointed!!!!

Update 2024: - I was shocked the other day when I saw the prices. A normal burger (hardly anything in it, dry bread, poor quality) used to cost €1.59. Now €3.99. They're crazy. - Quality has deteriorated significantly. Especially with the burgers. The breads are very dry and always cold. The meat is super cheap. Little sauce. - only fried chicken is still edible. But all other halal restaurants also offer this (some even in significantly better quality). It's a shame, this used to be a good alternative to McDonalds. But now it's an expensive store where the products don't reflect the price at all. Old review: I've been looking for an alternative to McDonalds for a long time (especially a halal alternative). The Mr.Chicken Restaurant in Gelsenkirchen is awesome. Very nice especially for families. Clean restaurant and nice employees. And the most important thing: it tastes great! Unfortunately the prices have recently been increased slightly. But you can't blame the company.

I ordered a children's box and was told there were no toys included. Instead of the chicken nuggets I ordered, I received a chicken burger. When I went to order a filet I was told it wasn't available so I chose strips. Unfortunately these were not cooked through. The only thing that was edible were the french fries. Overall it was a disappointing experience

Unfortunately, Mr. Chicken has declined significantly over the years. It used to be a great, halal alternative to other snack chains. However, the service from the staff and the quality of the food left something to be desired. Kids Chicobox without toys and old fries was the icing on the cake! It's a shame you used to be great...

I can't say anything against the employees, they are polite and friendly but the food is too expensive and doesn't taste that good. I ordered a dobbel deluxe hamburger and a doner taco. Hamburger was the size of a Doppelburge from McDonald's but almost three times more expensive, and the taco doner didn't taste good at all. The imitation kfc salad didn't taste good either. The food there used to be delicious, but today I only go because of my little one, otherwise not.

Food is halal and filling, so great. The workers are very friendly. Very pleasant atmosphere, beautiful winter garden and a children's room is available. Perfect place to sit and have conversations with colleagues!

A large fries with ketchup mayo plus 1 Cicken Burger just under 9 euros which is really overpriced. I was shocked because we get 3x more full from 1 kebab.
