This Burger King isn't very inviting. It's always hectic, the staff are stressed and not particularly friendly. The burgers are soggy and unappetizing, the fries are cold, and the portions are small and expensive. This Burger King simply can't maintain its standards. It's a shame, as it's the only burger place in our area and actually has a lot of potential.

We ordered and they didn't add the crowns in the app. They say you didn't tell us right away, the service is just non-existent.

It's awful how this branch has deteriorated. Almost all the tables were covered in food scraps. The staff clearly haven't heard of friendliness or courtesy. We weren't asked what kind of drink we wanted; we were simply given cola. The milkshakes didn't come with extra-large straws, just the regular, thin ones... a real challenge to drink a milkshake properly with those, assuming it's still a milkshake and not just milk. The burgers were cold, and the buns were already very hard around the edges. We complained, and they gave us new ones. The restroom situation is an absolute disgrace; the toilets at the train station are cleaner. It smelled of urine, and the floor was sticky. Terrible. From now on, it's drive-thru only, because: presentation matters, and what you can't see isn't there.

I live on Hilgenboom Street. When we get home, all the burgers were cold. The cheese had been taken out of the fridge a minute before, meaning the burgers had been prepared a long time ago. The bread wasn't fresh either. I wanted a bag and cup holder, but she took them away to the counter. Next time, I'll go to the Burger King near the drive-in cinema or the McDonald's that's closest to me. The worst experience I've had with Burger King is a shame, only because of unqualified employees. The big name is being used against the street.

All the previous reviews here don't reflect the current status at all. Burgers here are our favorite among other Burger King restaurants nearby! (The worst at the moment is near the Limbecker Platz) Fresh and juicy! :) And most of all, the staff is very very very friendly.

The lady who's supposed to take orders simply sits on the window through which the food is served. Hygienic? Questionable.

Typical Burger King. I enjoy the fact that there are no ordering kiosks here yet and people still talk to each other. So far, everything's been good, tasty, and fresh. At peak times, the tables are sometimes not perfectly clean, but otherwise, they're well-maintained. I find the road layout in the parking lot odd; everyone else just drives around, causing chaos in their parking lot. But that doesn't change the good taste.

Disgusting!!! There's a beetle on the burger, the meat looks unappetizing. The fries are undercooked and cold.

Service 1 star. Employee, no idea if it was a man or a woman, wearing a cap today on September 30th at the drive-thru counter, totally rude, not wanting to work. Didn't ask for sauces, etc., and didn't even pack any, just slapped her down and pulled her face. No idea who was playing tricks on her, but change your job if you don't feel like it :)

I wouldn't even give it 1... I ordered at 9 p.m.... delivery arrived at 11 p.m.... I'm from Kray... everything is freezing cold and soggy... for exactly 14 euros... Disgustingly slow service for that price... more often lately... hope I can upload pictures in the settings here.... no one in that store even answers the phone to get a new one for that money..... last time 👌🙌

We ordered chili cheese nuggets but got normal chicken nuggets. When we complained, it was argued that it wasn't that bad after all.... then we waited 20 minutes for the right product.

Well, I don't understand the negative reviews. This is the only (!!!!) Burger King branch in all of Essen and Gelsenkirchen that has always done everything right for me (I'm a bit particular...). Even an incorrect order via Lieferando was easily changed and delivered quickly and courteously. The staff was always friendly and helpful; even the driver always had a permanent grin on his face :))

Last time I was here, half of it was missing again, the wait at the drive-thru was unbearable, and then the fries were so disgustingly wobbly that they were all stuck together. The bag was way too small for all the food, and the fries were stuck in the middle where the bag was crumpled. This is supposed to be food you're supposed to enjoy?

Unfortunately, today was my first bad experience there. An employee was inattentive, chatting with friends while serving us, and didn't listen to us properly. As a result, we initially received the wrong products. When we asked for the correct items, we received them only after a discussion in which we were accused of ordering incorrectly. However, with our receipt, we were able to prove otherwise. Unfortunately, the product was also cold. Overall, a very disappointing service.

Very poor service! After our food was already an hour late, we called and were told to call again if the driver wasn't there after 7 minutes. No sooner said than done – only to be constantly hung up or no one answered the phone. After another 30 minutes, the driver arrived with cold food, so we declined the order. Besides receiving rude replies, we then asked to cancel, but the cancellation was denied. So: €41 paid, no food, and very poor service!!! We then ordered from Mecces – the food arrived after 15 minutes, and it was even still warm.

The delivery service needs to be clarified better and people wait far too long so that additional money is demanded

It's incredibly slow with zero customers. The place isn't air-conditioned, and you sometimes have to wait 20 minutes for your food in what feels like 60°C. I feel really sorry for the employees; some of them appear at the counter drenched in sweat, which doesn't exactly look very hygienic.

Hardly any staff, resulting in very long wait times! Please provide a self-ordering machine!!!

I asked for three chicken burgers and one large fries and I got a package without checking and when I got home and opened it I saw that there were no fries inside. It was a terrible place with a huge irresponsibility.

This is by far the worst place. Even the employees argue at the counter. It's a real mess. Plus, they can barely keep up with the few orders. After I unpacked everything at home, I saw the rotten lettuce on the burger! Yes, the lettuce was rotten! There's a photo as proof. I'll never buy anything there again.

Unfortunately very often dirty. I've been here so many times and the tables are always full of trash from previous people. I just wanted to eat outside on the terrace because it's hot as hell in the restaurant (no air conditioning??), but it was so disgustingly dirty. It's 28 degrees today. Staff always short. People jump in a triangle, do their best. But in the end, long waiting times are inevitable. Out of 3 citizens I ordered, one was cold and hard. In the end I couldn't eat. Who knows how long it was on the shelf.

It takes a really long time until an order is even accepted! Then completely unfocused, with questions, even though everything had been entered. But it's very disgraceful that the food at the drive counter is cold!!! It's really awesome!!! I only live around the corner, it SHOULD have still been warm. One star too many for this cheek!!!!

I ordered there at 7 p.m. and food came quite quickly, but something was forgotten. I called there and the driver said 10 minutes and he would be back. After 40 minutes I called again and it kept going to voice mail.

Went there with the family to satisfy our hunger. So we placed a large order and waited until we were called. When we sat at the table with the tray, the shock came. The cups, fries, servings and even the burger wrappers were bloody. It was so disgusting that we will never set foot in this restaurant again. In principle the goal was achieved, we weren't hungry, but unfortunately not because of the food there... But it has to be said that the employees gave us the money back without any ifs and buts and we then drove to McDonalds.

The staff is completely overwhelmed even with just a few guests. People type on their cell phones while ordering. After a few minutes, no one even remembers having placed an order. It takes 20 minutes until you get the food... The tray shelf also overflowed...

The employees have to be replaced 100%... They take their breaks at inhumane times, only 2 people are working and one is just lounging around in the back. Only order here if you want to eat when you are already hungry

I ordered from this branch today. I wonder why there are these insulated boxes that keep the food nice and warm when not in use. Food arrived completely cold and inedible. Everything for the bin. Branch not reachable by telephone. Tomorrow there will be a rude complaint and I will also cancel the payment. It's a shame to deliver something like that to the customer. Unfortunately you have to click a star here, but even that isn't worth it. And a good hour of waiting time.

I have never experienced such poor service. A simple order with two menus took an incredible 20 minutes. And then everything was wrong: wrong drink sizes, wrong fries sizes - as if no one there knew what they were doing. The staff is completely overwhelmed and unqualified. Communication? Hardly possible because you are either not understood or simply ignored. Conclusion: Never again! This restaurant is an imposition and absolutely unsustainable. Save yourself time, money and stress and go somewhere else.

I'm incredibly angry. Ordered at 5:38 p.m., supposed to wait over 1 hour for the food and now I'm already waiting 3 hours. And the best part for last, supposedly it was delivered and I'm wondering how great the service was. Incredible cheek. I've been trying to reach someone there for an hour. Even insufficient would still be nice.

No, we cannot recommend it at all. There were 3 employees there. One who was preparing something, one who was too lazy and preferred to chat with people she knew, and one employee who really worked his ass off to make it work halfway. The hygiene conditions were terrible.

I am very satisfied with what this local has to offer and have rarely been disappointed with the delivery service, the employees are very nice and respectful and are willing to do their best. The only thing I have to complain about is that sometimes the menu or dishes are not complete, e.g. For example, the cuross orio often lacks chocolate sauce, which is very annoying. Worst of the worst. Never order here for delivery waited for 3 hours just to cancel and was not even able to contact them. Please go for Mcd or KFC which is far better than these burger clowns. DON'T LOSR YOUR MONEY HERE

The stated delivery time is over 1.5 hours and the food is still not there after 2:30 hours. In vain you can't reach anyone there by phone. It's a real shame

Hello, if you are hungry I don't recommend you to go to this Burgerking point. I was and am very disappointed with how dirty this place is. The staff does not create an atmosphere to attract customers, especially the checkout staff who show up and place the order in a jacket so dirty that it makes you feel ready to return. Compared to other establishments in this fast restaurant chain, I cannot recommend this place. I don't say hello because I will never visit this place again. and when it comes to results on Google Maps, there are minus points.

I ordered the Danish Burger yesterday.... scary! Mini Patty, I haven't seen that yet.... wafer-thin, dry with just a centimeter of air around it to the edge of the bun....3!!! Crumbs of russet onions... hardly any sauce or cucumber... cold, even though we ordered inside and waited in the empty shop for easily 10 minutes. All we could see from the outside was rolls. I went in to complain... original sound from the lady who prepared them has "they are like that. I can make you a new one that looks exactly the same" deviations from the photo, of course....but that was an outrageous deviation from it!!!!!..to put something like that out there would embarrass me!! !

The toilets were very dirty and there was water on the floor (hope it was water). The consumption area was also very dirty and the seats were locked. The tablet cart was completely full. There weren't many customers and enough employees for that. But they preferred to have fun in the back area instead of fixing the deficiencies. When we ordered, there was a lady at the front of the register and 3 people at the back in the kitchen. Suddenly the three of them disappeared from the kitchen for almost exactly 30 minutes. (I guess I took a break) Unfortunately, no food was made during this time, only new orders were taken. After 35 minutes of waiting we had our order. Unfortunately, there is nothing “almost” about this restaurant. So it's best to plan a lot of time and patience or go somewhere else straight away.

The front staff seems innocent, not enough staff for the number of orders. The managing director seems to be one of those characters who builds his wealth at the expense of customers and staff. Given the history of this branch, I wouldn't be surprised by hygienic deficiencies as a result of understaffing. 2 burgers to go, 25 minutes waiting time in a pack in front of the checkout.
