Dreadful I go inside with my family and they discriminate us and kick us out with no reason at all .they hate when you can get discounts on food and iteams

We're currently here with a youth group of over 30 people. Everyone ordered a set menu. We've never been served so friendly and quickly. Everyone had their food within 10 minutes, including ordering. Very well organized.

Bad and long wait times! I waited 15 minutes at the empty drive-thru to order because the employee preferred to type on his phone and told me it would take a while. From 12:11 a.m. to 12:26 a.m. I backed out of the drive-thru without ordering. Not recommended!!!

Long waiting times of 20-30 minutes, fries soggy and cold, burgers cold, tables dirty, staff overwhelmed and irritable, better drive past and save your money!

The takeaway food was completely cold when we arrived home – after a 500-meter walk. The service was abysmal – except for a young man who asked after about 25 minutes what we were waiting for... Mind you, this was for one 20-piece nuggets, a Happy Meal nuggets, a Big Mac meal with a wrap, and one Coke Zero and a water. What are we waiting for? For the train at GE Central Station. Which brings us to the ambiance: train station chic! Dirty, unkempt... delivery drivers constantly coming and going... Disgusting actually describes it best.

Unfortunately, the clientele that frequents the place doesn't contribute to a feeling of "comfort." Drive-in is fine, we don't need to eat there again.

Just no. Table service poor and slow, food cold, incomplete. Even if you're in a hurry and want to order something to eat, go to the nearest McDonald's because eating at this McDonald's would be a waste of money.

For me, this is one of the best McDonald's in the area. The food is hot, the employees are always friendly, and it's clean. We like going there.

I absolutely don't recommend this location because they always forget something. When ordering, you specify that the burgers should be without pickles, and they come with them in every other order 🙈🤮🙈. Additionally, they forget the three sauces with every order of 20 nuggets.

The last two times the table reservations were processed quickly and without any problems.

We just picked something up there, and the fries look like they've just been sitting next to the fryer instead of in it. What a disgrace! Unfortunately, we didn't notice this until we unpacked the fries at home. They were practically raw. It's outrageous.

Was there on May 11th, 2025 at 3:53 p.m. Service was zero. Half of the order was missing. The people working there and the branch manager came and only checked and brought it afterwards, but the sauces were still missing, so you seriously have to fire a branch manager like that

Had to wait more than 10 minutes for the order when it wasn't busy. I mentioned it to the boss in a friendly manner, and without comment he put a free fries in my bag - man of honor. Service 10/10, always happy to come back when things go that way.

It says outside that they take American Express... then it doesn't work when paying. When you talk to them, the employees don't know what it is... then you don't have it outside?!

Today I had my large coffee served in a paper cup instead of a cup. After I asked, I got a coffee cup. The paper cup didn't have to be there.

Sauces feel diced there. You get something different every time on the Big Tasty.

Ordered McCrispy curry, got normal McCrispy with honey mustard sauce. Nobody here likes this honey mustard sauce and the whole burger is drenched in it. This happens all the time with various products. You just can't order properly there.

Food came cold when we complained the lady came back and it was still cold

We had a very large order and some products were forgotten. When we asked, a nice young man was very helpful in helping us and asked again whether everything was there. This made me realize afterwards that there were more missing products than I thought. I thank you very much for that! :)

That didn't work at all... first of all, the toilets were terrible... If it looks like that in the kitchen too... Congratulations... unfortunately I only saw it after I ordered... The restaurant itself was great too messy and dirty... and the kicker... we ordered to eat there... with the 19% VAT... and didn't get a tray... but a bag... so the first clue that we We were supposed to eat outside... but we didn't... and then the second verbal warning came again ... If I could I would give MINUS 5 STARS... THIS WON'T WORK AT ALL...

The staff is totally overwhelmed, you ask for the food you ordered after half an hour and are then sent away to wait. After 45 minutes the food came incomplete and cold.

Every time you wait for minutes for a menu, only to end up with either a missing or wrong product - that's standard practice here. I've never seen such a slow-moving and nerve-wracking McDonald's!

I have been to this branch several times with colleagues You always wait at least 20 minutes or more for your order. The staff is completely overwhelmed. I think I will avoid this branch in the future. Of course I don't expect the food to be there within 5 minutes, but you can tell from the people that they all have to wait a long time. I really suspect it's the delivery service. It wasn't so extreme before.

The slowest McDonald's in Germany. It's never taken so long to place an order. 2 cars in front of me on Mc Drive and then waited 10 minutes. After ordering, another 10 minutes passed until someone brought the order out.

At first the order didn't arrive, apparently due to a technical issue. error. Then we got our receipt to get everything ready, then everything came twice within 5 minutes. Food was cold and not well prepared. Cheese not melted, 1 slice of cucumber and two diced onions. Complaints were ignored. Never again!

Ordered a McRib with extra onions on 10/9/24. When I got home I discovered that the McRib didn't contain any onions.

The food is just McDonald's standard. But the cleanliness of the places, especially on weekends, is lousy. The toilets are also not hygienic. We recommend ordering food at the drive-thru and then enjoying it at home.

Phew, that was dirty yesterday (September 22nd, 2024, 2:45 p.m.-3:10 p.m.). All the tables that were free had probably not been wiped down for hours, and there were tablets with leftover food that had not been cleared away everywhere. Stains, ketchup/sauce, salt and drink residue on the tables and partly on the seats. There were expired table service numbers everywhere. The service that would have to take care of this was practically non-existent. If so, a tablet that was left behind was unmotivatedly put away, but not wiped down. The same applies to the outdoor area. Garbage everywhere, full trash cans and an overall unkempt outdoor area. The table service also took a long time and then we forgot 4 pieces of product! In general, there was a lot of staff there, but half of them seemed extremely unmotivated. This branch in Gelsenkirchen would be really embarrassing for me as a franchisor.

Incompetent and unfriendly staff and the so-called shift manager is a bad joke. Apparently there is a new system for ordering with coupons, which the clerk at MC Drive couldn't explain to me properly. When paying, I pointed out that everything was booked normally instead of using coupons. The shift manager came over and said there was nothing he could do, I would have been unlucky and the overpaid amount would not be returned. I have never experienced anything as outrageous and ripped off as in this store. Fraud on the customer.

The team there was completely overwhelmed, every order was somehow wrong, every customer stood in line again to complain about something, no matter whether the food was cold, the drinks were wrong or, as with us, the entire menu... In addition, there were drug deals going on outside and selling stuff, so this McDonald's store should actually get a visit from the local police

We've been standing here for 20 minutes and want to pay. The store only has 10 guests. How can this be a fast food restaurant and everyone who pays with a card comes before us because we're not being noticed.......

Pre-ordered via app on the way back - ready immediately upon arrival, with GPS and everything... well, nice thought, in the end we would have been quicker if we had just driven there and gone in. It felt like we had to wait longer than those who ordered at the counter behind us. In any case, we waited easily for 20-30 minutes and, as usual, we saw one car after another leaving the MC Drive with food. Even the cars that had to wait behind us had their food in front of us and we had a small child with us. And a few nuggets and a burger are certainly nothing out of the ordinary there, you might think. A joke.

Although there weren't many hungry customers there and ordering, it easily took 30 minutes for our order to be served to us by table service. We had already noticed the incompetence of the service staff: For some individuals, being able to read the table/order numbers proved to be an almost impossible challenge. In my opinion - and considering the fact that there were only a few customers there - the staff's statement that they were busy at the moment and therefore stressful was just a lazy excuse. The cleanliness of this establishment also leaves a lot to be desired. We thoroughly cleaned the dining table with disinfectant before we sat down. The cleaning staff are probably just as well trained as the service staff. As the person responsible, I have to ensure that my employees internalize the branch concept and meet (legal) standards. They also need to be trained in dealing with customers. Which brings me to another point: We were served the wrong burger. Since we were very hungry, we only realized this after biting into this burger. We pointed this out to the staff (mistakes happen to everyone, it's not a problem at all!) and we were immediately told that we would get the burger we ordered. The next moment, however, the branch manager said in a very impertinent and insolent manner that this was not possible because the burger had already been eaten. While this is true, we immediately complained after realizing it was the wrong burger. Mistakes can happen, that's not the point. The point is, that's not how you treat customers. As a person in charge or an employee, you don't have to be rude to the customer. And if you, as a branch manager, are not up to the responsibility of managing a branch or dealing appropriately with customers, then you should perhaps look for another job. To be fair: the food was okay - apart from cold fries. For me it was the last time I entered this restaurant. Truly the worst McDonald's. In my opinion, the only thing left to clarify is whether it's because of McDonald's itself or because of the fact that this branch is in Gelsenkirchen (and no, I'm not from Dortmund).

If you order Mac Smart Menu Chicken then you simply get two beef burgers, thank you McDonald’s

The burgers were hot, fries were crispy and well salted, free WiFi. Unfortunately, the toilets are an imposition. I always wonder if other people haven't learned how to go to the toilet properly.

The restaurant wasn't full. It took the staff 15 minutes to order 1 Smart Menu and my companion waited 17 minutes. The burgers were lukewarm at best. Abandoned food stood and lay scattered on the neighboring table and around it, with pigeons and wasps fighting over it. After 30 minutes I pointed out to an employee that it could be put away. He just shrugged and replied "No staff." It was the worst McDonald's visit of my life... P.S. The following observations were made: The return trolley was also completely overcrowded, so that no tray could be put back. We placed it neatly on the neighboring table next to the car. On the terrace there were uncleared trays on several tables and seats were dirty. The McDonald's feedback system advertised on the receipt did not work. Of 4 order displays, 2 were defective. Overall, apart from the genuine friendliness of the staff at the ordering counter, everything was negative. I didn't dare go to the toilet... The operator should urgently increase or train his staff. If an inspection had come today...

Been there several times now at different times and days. Unfriendly employees who can't cope with complaints...food is served/packaged cold and things tend to be forgotten...cleanliness isn't that important either...rarely have I had such a bad experience at McDonalds, unfortunately there several times every time!

I would happily give negative stars if I could. You pay over 20 euros for 2 burgers and 2 ice creams, only to then wait 25 minutes to sit down at a really run-down, dirty table and get the wrong burger. If you want to replace the burger, you have to wait another 15 minutes because you will simply be “forgotten”. The ingredients of the burger are then just thrown into the packaging, so you still have to make your own burger. The ice had melted. Meanwhile, an employee is trying to clean something up because all the tables were full of dirty trays because the tray carts were full. He throws over a cup of cola and smears it, causing several customers to almost slip.

After being disappointed several times at the branch on Grothusstrasse, I thought today I would give this branch a chance... and what can I say, the branch on Grothusstrasse is not as bad as I thought. At the branch in Ückendorf, a lack of work organization and/or motivation come together. You can convince yourself of this fact while you wait a good 30 minutes for your food. The floor and the tables are super dirty. When you finally receive the burger, you realize that despite the long wait, the order is wrong. When you then open the burger you realize that the burger is a construction kit that you can still put together yourself. All in all, based on current experience, not recommended.

Unfortunately, McSundea was a joke... every scoop of ice cream from the gelateria is bigger and cheaper. 1.99 and the cup was only a third full.
