No, I ate the McDonald's Rib. It wasn't worth the money. The sauce wasn't visible to the naked eye. McDonald's used to be good.

The shift supervisor in charge [with insulin pump] (June 29, 2025, approximately 9 p.m.) was incredibly irritable and aggressive from the moment she arrived until she left the restaurant. She insulted and yelled at colleagues. Furthermore, a group of approximately seven children was removed from the premises because they (each) wanted to purchase a discounted ice cream by reviewing the restaurant. The shift supervisor acted as if the discount granted would be deducted from her salary. During the course of the stay, each employee was humiliated several times. This is completely unacceptable. A warning would be justified.

Very disappointing – never again! I was at the McDonald's in Gelsenkirchen yesterday and I'm honestly shocked. The employees' behavior was completely unprofessional – loud, silly, and disrespectful in front of the customers. Instead of taking care of orders or customers, they were joking around and laughing. Communication between them was chaotic, and it seemed as if no one knew what they were supposed to be doing. The store management? Unfortunately, they were just as disorganized and overwhelmed. As a customer, you feel neither taken seriously nor welcome. I haven't experienced such behavior at any other McDonald's. It's a real shame – I definitely won't be coming back.

The worst McDonald's I've been to. None of the employees know anything or cares about the customers. They work so slowly. Waited over 50 minutes for an order that was cold and partly wrong. Unbelievable. I wasn't even the only one with me; there were about three other customers who waited that long for a cold order. And when one of the waiting customers wanted his money back because his order still wasn't ready, one of the employees simply said no, they still have to wait for the order.

I was relaxing at MCS and just wanted to get a damn McFlurry. After 10 to 15 minutes, I received my diabetes to-go and discovered that the cups are stored in such a way that they absorb the heat from the machine. Two minutes later, I had slush ice cream in a slush ice cream puddle.

This shop is the absolute worst. When we entered there were two cars in the mc Drive-In, and everyone who came in after us was served. After 15 minutes we asked if we could order, and the only answer we got was that we're busy and understaffed and we'll have to be patient. Sorry, I have no understanding for this kind of thing. The people in charge at McDonald's should take a look at this store. A few months ago, I was told by a HR employee, "What are all they doing here? Don't they have a home?" which I found more than cheeky. Yesterday, I gave it another chance. I went there and the terminal wasn't working, so I went to the service staff, but they don't pay any attention to you for a penny. I don't know how long I stood there, but when my colleague asked me if I had already ordered and I replied, "No, they don't pay any attention here," only then did they think it was necessary. I wanted to tell the lady my order, but everything I wanted—and we're talking about the classics—was sold out, and the store had been open for at least four hours. I don't know what's wrong, but apparently they not only need to train their staff on how to deal with guests, but also rethink their planning for how much food they should have on hand per day at a location like this.

I'm pretty sure this was my burger's second time in the deep fryer because the breading was pretty dark and the meat was dry. I had the crispy chicken burger and then the cleaner worked without gloves, she cleaned the floor and then washed the tables without her hands. I think Team Wallraff should urgently stop by here.

Absolute disaster!!! Went there with my daughter today before the cinema. A Happy Meal and a Mc Smart menu......waited 25 minutes for the order. If I hadn't already paid at the terminal I would have simply left. Definitely the last time there.

My two children and I had to wait in the car for over 30 minutes after placing our order. We would probably have been full faster at home. In the parking lot we noticed that the order was incomplete. When asked, the employee explained that she was on duty alone on a Saturday afternoon. That may explain the situation, but it is no excuse. The organization was poor and not customer friendly.

Everyone liked the sauces. That's an impertinence. All the children were disappointed and the employees there are friendly. They all make you smile. That's not normal anymore. I don't normally write reviews, but I just have to get rid of yesterday's experience. I spontaneously wanted to pick up a few burgers on the way home. Ordered at the terminal at 10:29 p.m. It actually took them 40 minutes for 5 burgers and 3 fries... I was allowed to receive a tablet at 11:11 p.m., even though I ordered takeaway. A burger was also missing. The reviews about the extremely long waiting times are really not exaggerated. Others have waited 25 minutes for a coffee or McFlurry. No idea if and how the store can be profitable. It wasn't even full. A number of people just had to wait for their orders. The Half of the tables were occupied by people who were waiting. “Fast food restaurant”? Definitely not! You get your orders sooner in any normal restaurant. Maybe the franchisee will stop by and take care of it accordingly... McDonalds and especially this store will never see me like this again. I'd rather do without, thank you.

Ordered and paid online for the first time, never again! Order number: UQ612455625 on February 19, 2025 at approx. 4:37 p.m 1 spicy burger and 1 chicken burger were missing. Unfortunately we noticed this at home. My husband was on his way, I was at home with my toddler. Even though you could prove everything with another cell phone, they didn't give us the burgers we paid for without the cell phone we ordered from. I sent the order number as well as a screenshot and screen recording with order details to my husband. They didn't accept that. Not even the responsible shift manager or person in charge. As if we had fun driving 3-4km back for unpaid burgers and bothered. They should be able to see in the system and possibly have the burgers they ordered lying around there. Impertinent and unacceptable! We were able to eat the rest of the order cold after all the hassle! I hope those responsible read this and are held accountable!!! Tip to everyone: check your order and always ask for a receipt!!! And it's best not to order online

McDonald's is generally not a culinary highlight, but this store tops it all. Absolutely catastrophic! Worst McDonald's I've ever been to in the WORLD. Special requests? Were completely ignored. Waiting time? 30 minutes – for fast food! Order complete? Of course not, several things were forgotten. Quality? Some of the food was cold, soggy and the taste was simply subterranean. If you go to McDonald's, you at least expect fast and reasonably correct service. There isn't even that here. Never again!

Craziness. We were there yesterday around 2 p.m. 12 employees in the store behind the counter. There is no delivery service offered and the employees who are present behind the counter. Hold on to the counter so they don't fall over. Are only busy with themselves or talk extensively with their team members. No trace of service here. Two burgers were not handed to us and we had to prove that we had ordered them. We were also not given straws with the answer that you only get them if you order a shake. Simply underground. If I were the franchisee of this restaurant, I would think about... replacing the entire team.

This McDonald's is a disaster. I can understand that you have to wait a few minutes but not 45 minutes!! And that’s just for fries and a burger! The service was unfriendly and when you asked how long it would take, they immediately complained. So I think that, among other things, you could be friendlier. (Besides, everything was already finished and cooling down. There was a shelf with ready-made fries, burgers and I have no idea what, everything was cooling down and it wasn't hygienic either!)

I understand something different when I use the word “fast food restaurant”. Starting with the ambience, which always seems dirty. I was at the McDonald’s drive-thru and unfortunately a Happy Meal was forgotten. After a short call, I was immediately assured in a friendly and uncomplicated manner that I could pick it up at a later date. When my junior finally received his Happy Meal, he was even allowed to choose the toy he wanted. That made his heart beat faster and made my day too. Just grab a quick burger, go out for a Happy Meal with the kids, or just grab a coffee during the break - everyone knows it and almost everyone loves it - McDonald's. Here, in Gelsenkirchen Erle, between the cinema, Veltins Arena and other restaurants and cafés, the fast food chain with a restaurant also found its place many years ago. And although the store almost always seems to be very busy, thanks to concerts, events or football games, there is a more than just "well-attended" store. If you're new to Gelsenkirchen Erle, it's best to get a calendar of the arena's events in advance, so that when you're craving burgers and the like, at least your stomach won't remain empty, unless you have enough time and patience to get into it to join the long line that stretches out onto the street. And here I would like to come to the deficit as to why there is no top rating from me. If it seems as if the store's organization at events works really well, then you have to wait in line for the same amount of time (approximately) that you wait for your order on some "working days". I can't say what the reason is in the end, but I also noticed that the employees change very often and it could perhaps be because they are not yet very experienced in their work. Otherwise, I can recommend the restaurant as long as the tables are checked and cleaned regularly.

Hopelessly overwhelmed by the rush of stadium visitors (tip: maybe it's better to move the location???) The order placed via the app was not delivered to the table as selected. Instead, the order was assigned a number we didn't know and was supposedly called out all the time (if we don't know the number, how are we supposed to react to it???). After asking several times, the staff wanted to let us know that the order didn't work at all and would be canceled/refunded. They didn't want to give us any proof that we didn't receive any food. End of song: Food sat around for 20 minutes, was cold, that would be our fault because it shouldn't be possible to order a table. Staff completely overwhelmed with their own services and they didn't even know where to find their own table numbers.

I visited McDonald's on a Saturday via drive-thru and hit it. As I was driving past I saw 2 cars at the ticket counter and decided to drive in. When I drove in I had 4 cars in front of me. So when I ordered I was already annoyed. The person at the counter said wait a moment. After 7 more minutes I was able to order. I should drive up to the ticket counter. There was no car in front of me anymore. The horn was already honking behind me. People understand fast food differently. The line behind me was now extremely long. When I paid I told the employee what I thought. The trick that is pulled off there (making the counter look empty) and then driving in and finding a queue that is being processed very slowly doesn't work at all. The funny thing is, I should start the engine again and drive forward 2 m. The car was parked behind me at the order counter and why should I drive up when he only takes the order as soon as the car drives away when it is handed over to the counter anyway. Eat like it is at mc. But service, cleanliness and customer friendliness don't seem to be that important. The table numbers are only given out individually upon request, probably to save time. Tables are not wiped down, old numbers are not put away.

Hat seine Kollegen direkt nach dem bedienen das essen zum Tisch gebracht Obwohl Viele davor schon bestellt hatten und immer noch nichts bekommen haben was eine Frechheit ist. 2. Hat das Essen meiner Erfahrungen nach einfach so in die Tüte geschmissen wo sich die Verpackung drum rum schon gelöst hatte. 3. Falsches Essen mitgegeben. NO GO!!!!!
