You were the number 1 point of contact for us and made our stay in Munich unforgettable. Service, food and drinks are simply top. Since we have no problems sitting at a table with others, the conversations were the icing on the cake. The staff...just great. The location is just brilliant. We'll be back and even then there won't be another restaurant for us.

Very disappointing, very touristic. The meat was good, but all the sides were mediocre. The service and the staff were very polite. High prices.

Two quick halves in the stairwell. It was a good Augustiner from the barrel. The half beer costs about €4.50. There was very little going on. The bar waiter was very friendly.

Small feedback on the service (has nothing to do with the quality of the food!) We were here today and wanted to have lunch. Because there was a lot going on, we decided to go in. There were 3 tables free inside and, since there were only three of us, we decided to go to the smallest table, where there were still a few glasses from the previous visitors, which is completely okay given the stress. Before we've even sat down, a blonde waitress runs past and says in a very annoyed tone, "Exactly, sit down at the dirtiest table of all places!" This ended our visit to the restaurant before it really started and we left again. We were annoyed because it was super unfriendly for absolutely no reason. Sometimes you just shouldn't say your thoughts out loud.

The food was good, I love the sauce in main course, not so long waiting. The beer is also good.

The best food we have had in Germany. Mixed sausages, oxtail soup, and Bavarian soup. Our hostess made great suggestions for a great authentic Bavarian food experience. This place is popular with the locals.

Could not possibly be more rude. Waited 20 min until finally asking if anybody was going to come over to the table. I’m convinced nobody was ever coming until I asked. Service was terrible.

Extremely prominent location right next to the Cathedral of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) and it's correspondingly touristy here. Sitting outside in summer can still be charming, even if we as locals tend to prefer other Bavarian restaurants (e.g. Xavers, Georgenhof, Kaisergarten).

A fantastic bar and restaurant close to the main square. We had some lovely food and drinks, the staff were very nice and accommodating.

You can find Nuremberg sausages here. It's nice to drink beer overlooking the church. Our waiter was of Albanian origin. Thank you, he took great care of us.

The service was not good at all, the food is barely average specially for the asking price.

They must be hurt by losing in the Euro Cup against Spain. The food is delicious and the price is what's on the menu, but the waitress must be a big fan of the soccer team. Their service left something to be desired, perhaps because it was so full of people, they had at least 6 tables to serve. I would not repeat if there were other options.

Misfortune!! The waitress didn't look at us once during the entire meal. It will not be a matter of life or death again. I prefer a burger king. It's a shame they use such a nice place to scam customers. The food wasn't bad, but it was overpriced. I don't recommend it at all. And despite everything they sat us at a large table with some strangers who were behaving strangely. I hope this can help people and that they don't have to go through that bad experience like I did.

Nuremberg is also authentically represented in Munich. Food and drinks are top. The staff always have a relaxed attitude on their lips, despite the hectic pace

The menu is so complicated that it takes 15 minutes to understand where everything is. The glass they brought for me was dirty. I went inside to ask for straw and told them in a calm way that it's not clean. One of the waiters took the glass, checked it, and with a rude and not polite manner told me, "I don't understand English." They server sausages with cabbages and don't mention it on the menu, and no one tells you even when you speak English, and it's obvious you are tourist. When I told them the waiter only told me sorry. we ordered three different foods, which none of them had even normal quality. It only locates in a good place, that's it. I paid 11 euro for only one sausage. I never recommend it.

THE RESTAURANT CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT, AS STATED ON GOOGLE. WE ARRIVED FOR DINNER AT 10:30 PM, IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER AND WITH THE CITY CROWDED, AND THE WAITER RECEIVED US RUDELY SAYING THAT THE KITCHEN WOULD CLOSE IN 5 MINUTES AND WE WOULD HAVE TO ORDER SOON. THE MENU IS IN GERMAN WHICH MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND, SINCE WE DON'T MASTER THE LANGUAGE. WE ORDERED IN A HURRY AND THE DISHES WERE NOT WHAT WE IMAGINED, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO ANALYZE. AT 11:20 pm I WENT TO ORDER ANOTHER BEER AND THE SAME WAITER, ROUGHLY, SAID THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE BILL, WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MUCH IGNORANCE. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE AGAIN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. GET AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. IT IS TERRIBLE WITH TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Rude staff. We asked to sit at a table and were directed to one. Only to be kicked out after 15 minutes by a rude bartender who told us we had to go to the end of the line that was not formed when we first arrived.

I DO NOT recommend visiting. The staff here is really unfriendly. We were sitting outside, waiting for our dessert, when it got windy. Our waitress asked us to sit inside. We came and took place, but other waiter came to us almost shouting that this table is reserved and we cannot sit here. We were trying to explain to him that we just need few minutes to eat and go, but he was not listening. As we were standing between the tables, our waitress came and told us to sit exactly where we were prohibited just seconds ago. We decided to pay and leave the place because the whole situation made us really uncomfortable. Huge shame, considering our main dishes were quite good.

Great traditional bavarian food place. Close to frauenkirche

We went to this restaurant for the sausages and they were very good. The accompanying potato salad was also very good. We opted to split this and the dessert combination plate. This came with strudel (don’t bother, just push it aside), kaiserschmarrn and fried apple rings. The apple rings were quite good and the kaiserschmarrn was the best we have ever had and we have had a dozen or more. We will come back here next time we transit through Munich. You only have to put up with the grumpy wait staff but it is worth it.

Fortunately, we didn't have to make a reservation, we got a table around 8 p.m. The dinner was very tasty and arrived quickly. Everyone should take a good look at the invoice so that there are no unnecessary items left on it. We also gave a tip, the atmosphere of the place is very authentic. I recommend to everyone!

Horrible inattentive (overwhelmed) service, the glasses aren't nearly filled. The toilet is really dirty. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Great location. Fine and tasty food. Service is very dependable on the waiter. If it was to the coordinator we would leave immediately as he was rude!! The staff took control and it turned out fine. Beer was very good.

Tourist here, maybe a cultural difference, but does German generally pull a beer with that much foam 🤣? Sausages were alrite, not amazing. Pork knuckle was quite disappointing with skin being thick and hard (might be a cultural difference as well?) lol

Had the Crispy pork knuckle with dumplings + 2pairs Vienna Sausages with homemade potato salad. All of it super yummy and with a very reasonable pricetag. Unfortunately there was no space outside on a hot summer day but the inside was very cozy with a typical Bavarian atmosphere.

We had the duck and the pork knee—both were next-level amazing, and the cabbage salad was a standout. Located right next to the Gothic church, you get to soak in all the street action. The service is spot-on, though it’s super busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience you won’t want to miss.

Beer hall experience in Munich central. The meals are hearty and you can expect large serves and plenty of meat. Service was fine and friendly. They have staff that speak many languages including broken German in my case. They accept credit cards except AMEX. Inside was a little hot however there is a massive beer garden / terrace with lovely fresh air.

We came in for breakfast and ordered some coffee and their signature sausages. When we wanted to order a second serving, the male waiters were incredibly rude and dismissing. One of the younger blond male waiter told us to wait, but then proceeds to ignore us and entertain the rest of the german customers, laughing and talking to them right next to our table, while we waited to make our second order. He didn’t even bother to come back to us despite passing by us several times. We didn’t like how it made us feel so we tried to flag another elderly male waiter down but was also ignored. At this point, we just wanted to make payment and leave as we felt increasing discriminated. We’re visibly and ethnically East Asians, not sure if that makes any difference. Once we managed to flag down the first waitress who served us food, we were forced to tip a minimum of 7% on the credit card terminal as well! Horrible service, and food was normal. Definitely do not go if you’re not German nor speak any german. Although based on the past reviews, avoid this place completely if you are even visibly Asian/non-German. Edit: Owner who commented that there is no forced tip, i would like you to review your credit card terminals that forced atleast a 7% tip, or do you have different card terminals for non-german guests? Also, tons of reviews by fellow asian guests here suggest the same racism experienced in your restaurant, so are you going to disregard all of them? Anyway, definitely do not recommend anyone to come to this restaurant, especially by owners who refused to acknowledge all the asian customers experience that has been documented here.

This is also where the Munich people go. Great ambience, very tasty Bavarian food and at normal prices. Highly recommended and not too touristy despite a prominent location

The service was nice, but unfortunately the beer was stale and tasted stale. 0.5 liters is more like 0.4 liters.

Radler No.1 has a strong lemon flavor and is really delicious. It definitely feels more like a drink than a beer, so if you're looking for a sweet beer, I definitely recommend Radler. For the menu, I recommend sausage. I recommend the sausage platter (one has cheese). There are different sausages so you can try different types. Highly recommended.

The waiter is rude and taught us how to live. He came several times and rushed us somewhere.

The bratwursts are really good and so is the wooden barrel beer, it's just annoying that the beer is constantly underserved. There has to be a lot of foam, but others with wooden barrels also manage to make sure that the half is sufficiently full. You don't want to have to complain about every half.

Very nice ambience and solid food for a tourist spot in Munich. However, the biggest issue in this pub for years has been the consistently underserved beer. This will certainly have a financial strategy in the long term, but it simply cannot continue like this at the expense of the customer.

My absolute favorite restaurant for Bavarian cuisine in Munich - as a native of Munich. I've always had nothing but good food here and the beer is sensational because it comes from a wooden barrel. The service is typically Bavarian, sometimes seems a bit rough but is very friendly. In addition, the location is simply great.

Value was poor, serving sizes were very underwhelming for the price and at least 50% of the beers I saw go out were at least 40% froth, some up to 80. If you want traditional food, sure go ahead, but if you want to be fed and watered for a reasonable value, I wouldn't go back.

We sat outside for about 10 minutes waiting for our order, then a waitress comes and you have to order inside then another waitress says to wait outside and the waitress will come to take the order herself. Finally, they told us they are closing at all.

A great restaurant, it has all the looks of a tourist trap but it is uniquely German, the staff is super fun, and the food was good for the price. The beers were nice but it was the desert that made it a shocking surprise. The apple pancakes were to die for, it has everything, fluffy cakes, melty apples, crispy nuts prunes and sugar bits. Easily of the best deserts we've ever had. But at 13€ per person it was expensive for sure xD still worth it though!!!

It's a tourist place, so it's normal for it to be full and have to wait. I had a beer and soda, from the menu, super light. And for food, I ordered grilled pork with potato and cucumber salad. I wanted to eat this every day of my life.

I was here couple of time and I have to share my experience: -Basically there are lots of German restaurants in Munich but you feel no comfort and relaxed in many of them for the staff however, here things are different from my experience most of staffs are friendly especially a guy who could talked like 4 different languages and he also helped out us during choosing our meal and etc. -The food quality is something here which I think it’s also possible to find in Munich but not in combination with friendly staff!

I came here after a bitter disappointment at the Hofbräuhaus and was very satisfied. I ordered Leberkas with fried egg and potato and cucumber salad. Delicious. My colleague had a fantastic ox loin tartare. Our waitress was very nice and attentive.

An intimate interior with classic exterior right next to the beautiful Frauenkirche. We had their speciality Rostbratwurst and they were pretty amazing. Portions not massive, but that was welcome on a hot day. Staff friendlier than most in these places given the football was on and most other Brits were there causing chaos. Hello, your restaurant is absolute rock bottom! We just wanted a table and were first rudely insulted and then almost insulted by your incompetent and cowardly waiters. We had the platter which included 29 sausages. It was so tasty. Real good Bavarian feel to the place.

We ordered sausages and potato salad, which were all good, nothing exceptionnal but good. The beers were also good. What was horrendous is the waitress, an old lady. We arrived not so long before closing and she kept harrassing us in German only almost (even though she knew we couldn't speak german). We apologized a first time and hurried up to order. Then after she came back at the end and asked us to hurry up and finish the beers, while other tables were having lovely waiters that were laughing with them and taking more their time. When i paid of course i didn't want to tip and she got even more annoyed speaking only in German. Probably a good restaurant but got horrible service from this person

Beer poured poorly throughout, even after complaints. Food ok, neither sausages nor roast pork was anything special, service was unfriendly and rude. It's better to go two houses further to Andechser.

If you want to try great German beer and food, this is the place for you. A superb atmosphere, true Bavarian hospitality and excellent food and beer is what sets this place apart from the rest around. I ordered knuckle and local white, unfiltered beer. It was delicious. True, I would add sauerkraut along with the knuckle, but... this is an old restaurant - it’s unlikely that they will change anything on the menu.))) Beer and grilled sausages are really good, great smoky aroma in the special dish! But the service is too unfriendly even for me as a Munich native. You always have to “disturb” to be allowed to order something. Recommendation: at the back of the Stehausschank & sausage roll to go!

A group of friends are still having fun after dinner. Want to eat asparagus during asparagus season. Just found this one. The service staff is very friendly and fast. Asparagus is very delicious. The atmosphere at Chen Lin's is very good, and dining indoors feels lively and enjoyable.

Located in the heart of the city center, the inn with a beautiful beer garden and rustic ambience invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the interior is quite loud and can be very hectic at times. What's unpleasant is that the half often only consists of 1/3 beer and the rest is foam. Even if it is good form in Munich to have a lot of foam in your beer glass, that is already very borderline.

A relaxed environment with super efficient and warm staff. It's located not right in the middle of all the crowd yet it's not far either, making it just ideal to blend in with the good vibe of marineplatz. The food is fresh and served hot at God's speed! saussages are fresh and delicious but they ca totally improve on the texture and taste of the potato salad.

Classic german restaurant and beer garden. You can get beer and snacks in the open area. The interior floor has a very nice atmosphere. Local people show great interest. It's always crowded. Beer varieties and food taste were good. The waitress who took care of us was also good in service.
