A local colleague took me there. The Nuremberg sausage was a little salty. The ones you buy at Edeka are also delicious. The sauerkraut instead was authentic and delicious.

They refuse to attend my family just because we were tourists.

Unfortunately the price/performance doesn't match! 6 small Nuremberg bratwursts with some grated horseradish for €13.50, not even any bread was served with them. The special flavor grilled on beech wood was also missing. It wasn't anything special, sorry.

Another essential brewery to visit in Munich. They make the best sausages in town. Small place, but with great charm. Personal and local create a perfect atmosphere.

I come here every time I'm in Munich to eat grilled sausages with potato salad, there's nothing better. The Kaiserschmarrn is also highly recommended. The service is good and many employees actually speak Bavarian, which is rare in Munich.

Visited on a weekday evening. Fortunately, there was no line. I ordered a sausage platter and it was very filling and I was full. In particular, there are many places in Germany where beer is not tasty, but the house beer here has a special and delicious aroma and taste. I especially recommend a visit because the staff is very friendly.

Quaint inn next to the cathedral. You sit at large tables with other people and quickly get into conversation. Really Munich-like!

Only worthwhile if you want to experience the atmosphere of a Munich beer garden within the city. Otherwise, like any other tour hotspot, there is not much emphasis on service and quality. Some of the plates look like they were slapped together. The taste was okay, but nothing special. It's certainly available in other places at slightly lower prices. Just location.

A local restaurant where you can taste Nuremberg-style sausages. It is located right in front of Our Lady of Tyn Cathedral. The relatively thin Nuremberg-style sausage may feel saltier than Korea's, but it was tasty enough, and the pickled cabbage that came with it was especially kicky. It tastes like stir-fried kimchi without being spicy, but it’s the best I’ve had in Germany! The Schweinbraten that I ordered instead of Hakse was delicious and different from the Hakse taste, and the noodle soup was like a rib soup, but it balanced out the greasiness of the sausage well. Another advantage of this restaurant is that the sauce is generous. In particular, brown mustard goes well with any type of meat and is really delicious. What can I say about German beer? Of course it is delicious. The noisy atmosphere filled with locals, the interior reminiscent of the restaurant's history, the employees' attire, and the friendly service are all superb!

I don't understand how anyone can give 5 stars for food. We came from Slovakia and did not enjoy it at all. You can eat much better here for half the price. If you have perverse tastes, feel free to come, but for me 0 points, a totally useless visit to the McDonald's next door at least saved it

Extremely prominent location right next to the Cathedral of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) and it's correspondingly touristy here. Sitting outside in summer can still be charming, even if we as locals tend to prefer other Bavarian restaurants (e.g. Xavers, Georgenhof, Kaisergarten).

I had reserved a table for a long time and was looking forward to a great Bavarian dish. But, instead of the knuckle I ordered, I got a mixture of knuckle and roast pork. However, the roast pork was well hidden under the knuckle. At least a note should have come from the restaurant. For me that is not a sign of hospitality. You can get better knuckles on the Lower Rhine.

Simply brilliant. If you want bratwurst and a cozy tavern feeling, you should go here. But make a reservation beforehand, otherwise it won't work! Very nice to see that there are still places that simply don't have fries on the menu. Recommendation: the small “Bratwurst Glöckl Reine” for two.

Restaurant in the center of Munich ideal for trying typical German food. The service is very fast and efficient. The only drawback is that the tables on the terrace are somewhat narrow, but in general, an excellent option to enjoy local cuisine.

If you're thirsty and not hungry, the Stehausschank is the right place for you. Perfectly freshly tapped Augustiner in a convivial atmosphere and nothing else. If you want to make new acquaintances, pull the bell to the right of the serving window.

A typical German restaurant in Munich. It is a reference place because it has been founded for more than 130 years. The service is very fast, from the welcome, taking the order and the arrival of the dishes. And it was full and has many tables. The 2 typical dishes we ordered were very good. They were typical sausages with traditional contours. As you will see in the photos, the dishes were simple in presentation. The staff is dressed in traditional costumes. 100% recommended!

Nice restaurant in the center of Munich.

Small size allows customers to be close to each other It seems like a store that is supported by local people. If you are alone, you will be seated together and conversation will naturally occur. If you are traveling alone, we recommend this.

I loved everything about this place, authentic and the atmosphere is friendly. I love their tradition of sharing the big table with others. It was a great opportunity to talk to locals while enjoying their Bavarian food and beer! Their food was very delicious, great staff, ai enjoyed my experience here!

Best place to fill German kitchen!

Pretty sure there was water on the beers, we tried the same ones after in a bar they were way more consistent. I think it’s a good place if you’re german, not if you’re tourist

If you like Nürnburger sausages, this is place in Munich. The menu is limited, but very well executed. The beer pours tend to be short, but that's pretty common. Service is fast. Prices are not out of line with the rest of the city. Augustine on tap here, which is a big plus.

Had an amazing evening here with friends and family (12 all together). Our friends from Munich set up our reservation so we could experience good Bavarian food. We were not disappointed. Fun waiter too!

We ordered 2 coffee and a bottle of steel water and they brought us tap water in an already opened bottle and charged us for closed one 7.5 euro ! If u want to pay them you have to hunt them down like our ancestors did !

I've only been here once, at a Christmas party, but the visit remains fondly remembered. The snack plates were decorative and very tasty, especially the tartare on toasted bread. The main courses were quite generous, the sauerkraut was too mild for my taste, and you also needed something like fried potatoes to go with the sausage platters (which were very good). The whole thing is a mega portion and super tasty, the lukewarm celery slices are super delicious. The dessert platters were absolutely gigantic, the Kaiserschmarrn is heavily caramelized but not brutally sweet.

I hate to say it but the food was average. Pre booked this weeks in advance thinking this place served great food but I soon realised I had made a mistake. Sausages were cold and bland, and the pork knuckle was average at best. Didn’t bother ordering desert as the main was a huge let down. This may be a good restaurant for German standards but as someone from Australia this food is very ordinary.

The atmosphere was first-class. The couple at the same table enthusiastically taught us how to speak Prost to the locals. We were pleasantly surprised that we could experience the authentic Bavarian drinking culture here. However, the environment was crowded and the waiters had to serve several tables of guests at the same time, so the service was slow. The salted pork knuckle is crispy on the outside and soft and cooked on the inside. It tastes much better than expected. Most of the dishes taste great, except for the potato dumpling, which has a strange texture that I really can’t appreciate.

Iconic, therefore super crowded. But it's worth it. You should only be able to tolerate being close to other guests.

Had my Christmas dinner at Glöckl and came from South Tyrol especially for this. It was loud, it was tight, just great! The food was really tasty, the beer was good. All in all, always happy.

Sensational Kaiserschmarrn and delicious Augustiner

This restaurant is reason enough to come to Munich.

Yummy! Very recommended! Typical environment. They seat you at a table with other people so even without a reservation if you wait a bit you can get a seat. Spectacular frankfurters :P

The Weisswurst breakfast was okay. The caramelized Kaiserschmarren is far too sweet, it's better not to order it.

I loved the place, a lot of atmosphere, the service is attentive and fast and the food was exquisite, the best I ate in Munich.

We were very excited coming here. It was recommended by our tour guide. We had a nice lager to start with. We also ordered food but after 1h of waiting (no one even checked if we would like another beer) we have left the place (leaving the money for the beer on the table). Very disappointed with the service. I cannot judge the food.

The worst service experience I've ever had in a restaurant in Munich. My partner and I entered the restaurant and attempted to speak to the host and a waiter at the entrance. First my partner said “Hello” to which the host didn’t respond and just continued what he was doing. I didn't think anything of it as he might have been busy. After about a minute, another employee walked past us and I said, "Excuse me, could we get a seat please?" He also looked at us and completely ignored us. The worst service I have ever experienced. Do not go to this restaurant or even try. For tourists: Please do not enter if you want good service. This place is bad and completely not worth it. They don't serve tourists and simply ignore most customers anyway. A better restaurant with actually great service and food is Pepe Neapolitan Pizza.

Simply a classic. Augustiner beer from a wooden barrel and freshly grilled Nurembergers with horseradish and cabbage on a pewter plate. Very fast friendly service. However, the price is a bit too high.

We had a family celebration with 22 people. The waitress told us that a colleague had just dropped out. I'm sorry for that. Of course, things can get stressful at times. I understand, but there is no reason for verbal insolence. Yes, she asked 3 times about the starter and put a lot of pressure on it. After a guest still wanted a starter, she said in a senior teacher's tone that it could now only be served with the main course. Huh? I wanted cabbage and fried potatoes with my sausage platter. Not possible, even though the fried potatoes are on the menu as an additional side dish. I don't understand. When another guest called her hello to order something else, she said in a rather arrogant tone that hello is on vacation today. What's that supposed to mean? Don't you want to sell anything? Who pays whose wages here? The beer was very poorly poured (hence another star deducted for the food). But the waitress didn't care. She also liked to make us wait 20-30 minutes until the drinks came. The room itself was quite nice and the size was just right for our celebration. The food was average, but quite expensive due to the location. Conclusion: we consumed over €1000 and had to listen to a lot of outrageous things in return. The room was good and the food was acceptable. No recommendation!!!

The Nuremberg Bratwurst Glöckl is an institution. Typically Bavarian rustic furnishings, friendly staff and delicious food. Anyone who likes Nuremberg bratwurst and sauerkraut with potato salad will get their money's worth. The best is the Kaiserschmarren. Incredibly delicious, freshly prepared and smells of eggs. Always a pleasure. In the middle of the city center next to the Frauenkirche.

Great place , great food and our server was so helpful and funny. Provided us with an English menu and the food was delicious 😋 . The decor of the place was so traditional. Must go to place , if you ever are in Munich . Food is traditional German food with varieties of sausages and schnitzel .

A German restaurant with energetic staff and an atmosphere.

I was looking forward to some good dumplings, but unfortunately the bread dumplings were surprisingly disappointing. The potato dumplings are excellent. Unfortunately, the apple strudel was also just average. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not convincing.

Enjoyed the 3-type sausages with sauerkraut & duck dish, which went well with the beers. Service was welcoming.

I've always enjoyed coming to this beautiful restaurant, but after experience, NEVER AGAIN. I ordered pork knuckle, which was delivered in less than 2 minutes. It probably had to go urgently - the outer skin was totally hard and had probably been in storage for too long. The inside was reasonably edible - even driven by hunger. When I pointed this out, the nice waitress told me that she wanted to cancel - which I never, ever wanted to do - but the boss said “he ate it”. Probably didn't even feel the need to look under the napkin. The pork knuckle also has an edible crust - not just the crust, but the entire “outer skin” was inedible. They got rid of me. There are enough restaurants around Marienplatz with better quality and less arrogant bosses.

Absolute rip off food way over priced 21euro for four sausages with a piece of parsley on top. The waiter was extremely rude from the moment we walked in the door threw the plates at us and then asked for a tip which was very awkward. After I denied a tip which I rarely do she got very angry. Don't waste your time folks

This sausage specialist restaurant is small and mighty. They take sausages to a whole new level. Cooked on open flame and served with saurkraut or potato salad, fresh horseradish on the side (which totally raises the taste game). You have more than enough for the hungriest of tums. Save room though for dessert, the best was yet to come. Kaiserschmarm (sp?) is their best seller and for good reason. The pancake shreds are souffle light and the caramelisation is just perfect. We had other Kaiserschmarms in other restaurants, but this one was definitely the best in my opinion. I took a gluten tablet for this and would do it again any day - enough said. The atmosphere is very homely and it's definitely family friendly. Please remember to make a reservation in plenty of time as it place fills up very quickly.

We came JUST for the Weiss würst and pretzel and it was perfect!

The oldest inn in Munich, at least the Stehausschank. We thought: let's take a look. It was extremely crowded, every table was occupied but the nice waiter was able to find a place for two. We got our drinks very quickly and also the delicious food! Gladly again! Highly recommended!

Nice, rustic restaurant and you can feel very comfortable there. Unfortunately, we noticed that the beer was poured very poorly for both other guests and us, and that in almost all the glasses that were served. Many guests also complained about this. The cutlery is at best of canteen level, the knives were hardly usable for cutting!

We were here for dinner today. The service was terrible, the waiter, arrogant, arrogant. The beer was poured improperly, more like a cut than a half. I had a roast pork, which wasn't convincing either. The dumplings tasted good, if they had been warm they would have been fine. My colleague had a Munich schnitzel, lukewarm and hard as the sole of a shoe. All in all, this performance today was by no means convincing. I wanted to tell the waiter, but he didn't want to hear it. I will definitely not come here again.

Relatively dark (gloomy) and loud inside. Food came quickly, but wasn't a big hit. Just below average. Only those who ate sausages were satisfied. Augustiner on tap was delicious, especially the dark...

What's on offer at Nuremberg's Glöckl am Dom is a complete impudence. Ordered a pint of beer and then a half-filled mug - that's pure rip-off! You almost freeze your toes off, supposedly because the Greens banned heating. What a ridiculous excuse to save on heating. But the height of the misery is the tiny portions: for over 20 euros I expect more than a mini plate. This tourist trap probably thrives on the fact that no one comes twice. One star is still too many! PS Nice inside. But endless foam.
