This was actually a great restaurant years ago. On my last visit there were only two of us and an old men's regulars' table. They were so extremely loud that we almost had to shout at each other to have a conversation. Annoying but ok. However, it really pissed me off that I had to round up a €13 bill to €20 because all of a sudden it says card payments are only possible from €20 onwards. So I was absolutely ripped off as a customer. Cash fetishists might now say it's their own fault, but no, without a clear indication before I sit down and order, it's not ok. In addition, we live in the 21st century and everyone is slowly getting there. Definitely my last visit there.

Delicious beer and food, good location.

I met friends here for the third time today. The other times the food was very good, but unfortunately today the goulash was totally over salted. Just send a note to service. Next time I'll return the dish. But I hope that something like this doesn't happen again. Unfortunately, it wasn't a brilliant performance by the kitchen!!

At the Fat Man, things are hearty in Bavaria. The menu includes Bavarian classics in Bavarian style. Foreigners will have their difficulties. There are only a handful of dishes here for veggies - I counted 3 - meat lovers are spoiled for choice. Service is nice. The sun shines for a very long time in front of the Fat Man. There's beer from Ayinger.

I recommend it to everyone, very good food and very large portions :) turkey cutlet - Putenschnitzel im Cornflakesmantel - very good ❤️ Riesenschweineschnitzel also delicious and soft.

I recently had a chance to visit Kleines Brauhaus, a cozy and rustic German restaurant that offers a very traditional dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by warm wooden interiors, vintage décor, and an inviting bar filled with local spirits and schnapps. The atmosphere is unmistakably German – think dark wood panels, decorative mugs, and a homely feel that makes you want to settle in and enjoy a hearty meal. We ordered three different dishes during our visit. The schnitzel was satisfying – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with golden fries. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. The steak, unfortunately, didn’t quite meet expectations. It was a bit tough and lacked seasoning, which was a shame compared to the other items. The third dish, Käsespätzle topped with crispy onions, was creamy, rich, and enjoyable – perfect comfort food if you like cheese and pasta. One of the best parts of the experience was the beer. I had a dark beer from Ayinger Privatbrauerei, and it was fantastic – rich, smooth, and very well-balanced. It paired perfectly with the heavier food options. The drink menu was also quite extensive, featuring a variety of schnapps, whisky, and long drinks, which adds a nice touch if you want to try some local specialties after your meal. Overall, Kleines Brauhaus is a great place to visit if you're looking for an authentic German restaurant vibe with solid beer offerings. While not every dish was perfect, the atmosphere and drinks definitely made up for it. I'd recommend it more for casual dining and drinks than for a gourmet meal – but if you're in the mood for schnitzel and beer, it's worth a stop.

Went to Schnitzel Sunday and the food was really good! But the organization, on the other hand, is bad. Unfortunately, waiting times of 45 minutes for the next schnitzel are not acceptable. Just like the stressed and therefore sloppy service. It's a shame, but unfortunately you couldn't convince us.

Was invited for a birthday. Was great. There were 2 colleagues there who were in Ramadan. Special requests, such as having your own pan for frying and punctual delivery at sunset, were fulfilled. People wouldn't even have to say you're fasting. The waitress noticed it straight away and responded very well. The store is great. The food was sumptuous and very tasty. You can see it in the many visitors I would recommend a reservation. If you're alone, I think you'll find a place.

Pork crust roast is my absolute favorite. I would have managed one more dumpling. MEGA The owner is a nice guy, very correct when things don't fit.

I'm going to miss the food because it was delicious, but I won't be going back there ever again because the service was so bad. The waitress was very rude.

A quaint and very good restaurant that unfortunately only rarely exists anymore. Very good price/performance ratio and great service. Two things that would even be worth a 6th star for me: Glass of tap water for children is free and ketchup/mayo are in bottles on the table :-)

The restaurant is not in the center but can be easily reached with the U5. The food is very good and the portions are perfect size! Very quaint!

Unfortunately, the food wasn't what I expected. The Schäuffele had probably been in the warming counter for a while and were almost dry. The Dampfnudel did not deserve its name. The inn itself was very cozy and the service was good.

Everything was fine, very friendly and pleasant service, food was very tasty and good portions, old but rustic gas house which I personally like very much. Highly recommended. I'd love to come back!

Worth a visit: delicious food, cozy atmosphere and very nice service

It could be perfect, unfortunately you sometimes have to wait forever (reordering schnitzel on schnitzel day is almost impossible, we were able to reorder once in over hours) and you have to pay almost €4 more for a tap water with your coffee for an order of several hundred euros. (>10 people)

I haven't been for a year and during that time the portions have decreased quite a bit. It's a shame because the kitchen was great before. Tip - Charge a euro, two more and increase the portions so that the guests are full

Bavarian coziness and genuine hospitality are still alive here! The staff is exceptionally friendly, the Bavarian delicacies are simply delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy. A reservation is definitely recommended, as getting one of the coveted seats can be a challenge. If you love Bavarian delicacies, you shouldn't miss this inn - an absolute must! I would definitely like to come back!

Good Bavarian restaurant with excellent beer and tasty local specialties, good service - fast and attentive. Right next to ubahn entrance + there are plenty of parking spaces around.

Super delicious! Disabled access and toilets may be accessible by wheelchair if necessary. Prices very fair for the food. You should call beforehand. Good economies are always full.

Bavarian, solid, very good, and friendly service.

No high cuisine, just down-to-earth food. The staff is nice and cares about the well-being of the guests. Reservations are recommended on Sunday as many people come because of the schnitzel promotion. It's right next to the subway and less than five minutes from Michaelibad.

It was our first time at the Dicken Mann - Schnitzel Sunday drew us here. We had reserved, which I would absolutely recommend, the restaurant is well attended. We received a friendly welcome, even if we were a little early. The space we were assigned was a bit tight if you don't know your neighbors. The inn is comfortably furnished and not too big. The price for the “AllYouCanEat” schnitzel is very good at €15.55. The prices for drinks are reasonable. Due to high demand, the meal sometimes takes a little longer, depending on how busy the kitchen is. The schnitzels are fresh and hot - you can hear the chef knocking in the kitchen. Unfortunately you have to wait quite a long time for replenishment, which is not due to the kitchen but rather to the service. This goes to the neighboring table, but probably doesn't have a view of the other guests, so you have to wait quite a long time for a second helping. Which doesn't take anything away from the friendliness of the ladies. This may also be intentional. Nevertheless, we left the restaurant very full and will definitely come back again.

Very cozy, delicious food, sitting at the table with others/strangers is unusual and the service is apparently very poorly paid when people complain shamelessly about low tips...

My family is thrilled with this facility. We come here for lunch every 3 months. very large and tasty portions. The service is at its best, we always leave a tip of €10-15. the bill for seven out of 3 people in the range of 60-70€ is always taken away, which we couldn't eat. Thank you very much for the beautiful atmosphere and cosiness.

A nice Bavarian pub, just as you would imagine. Here you can notice that a lot of cooking is done from scratch. I would go out on a limb and say, like mom. They even have a lunch menu with very moderate prices. You can also see this in the clientele who come to eat here. I had a currywurst with homemade curry sauce, a dream 😊😋. The half pork knuckle was also great, absolutely recommended.

I was here for the first time. You immediately feel welcome. The ambience is perfectly rustic Bavarian. Everything made of wood. I was served straight away and the waiters were on their toes. As always, I can't stop eating roast pork. And I wasn't disappointed either. Clear recommendation of the roast pork. Lots of sauce and very tasty Price wise completely ok. Dear colleagues, the food this lunchtime was great, the waiter is great. BUT my wife came into the restaurant later and the female waiter was not friendly or correct. A tea can only be paid for bae. Credit card only from 20 euros. Lemonade costs 5.20 euros. Please train the female staff immediately.

Schnitzel all u can eat with a Christmas party of 14 people. The food was really amazing for the price. The service "Bri" is simply great - super on-the-fly and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

A small restaurant with down-to-earth, home-style cuisine.

We were there on Fridays with colleagues, so of course it's a little more crowded. Rustic cozy atmosphere. Very hardworking lady and the portions are huge.

In our case, the Schäufele and unfortunately also the duck were actually in the oven for too long, which we complained about. We were immediately offered an exchange or upgrade in a remarkably polite manner, which we gratefully accepted. This can happen when the house is full. But rarely have we experienced such perfect complaint processing!!! And even got a schnapps on top. We understood each other completely and felt almost at home.

Nice place. Food is normal, no contortions to be expected. Nice service. Today I ate a roast pork again after a long time. Coleslaw is good, dumplings too, there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to frying and especially the sauce (strong suspicion, a lot of help). Update after exactly one year. Went there again today after exactly a year. I ate a venison goulash, my husband a sauerbraten. It tasted pretty good, but after eating we were both completely exhausted. we felt unspeakably unpleasantly stuffed. I've never had that before because I can still eat properly in the middle of the night. I'm afraid I'll avoid the place.

Clocky and stylishly furnished brewery. On Sundays there's a thick schnitzel meal "As much as goes in (translated into High German 😉)". My favorite is the Cordon Bleu with potato salad. There is also the normal breaded schnitzel with French fries, a Jägerschnitzel (natural) with spaetzle or a paprika schnitzel with rice to choose from. The Jägerschnitzel (relatively few mushrooms) and the Paprika Schnitzel (basmati rice, rather unsuitable) were a bit average in taste. The regular breaded schnitzel and the cordon bleu were very tasty. I hadn't eaten any other dishes here. I can imagine that the normal dishes on the menu are very tasty. I found the service here good. The beer comes from the Ayinger brewery.

We visited the brewery based on a recommendation and didn't regret coming for a second. Quaint restaurant, great service and “real” Munich residents. My impression was that there were a lot of regulars because the waitress greeted many of the guests personally. If you are looking for real Bavarian cuisine, you will find it here. Food is delicious and value for money is ok.

The landlord is super friendly and the food was very tasty. It was super busy, so if you want to have lunch on Sunday, it's best to call and make a reservation a few days in advance. Unfortunately, what wasn't so well received was the service. We were eating schnitzel and when the first helping was ordered, we unfortunately had to wait almost an hour for the food to arrive. Yes, there was a lot going on, but that's just too long. The furnishings are really nice, but your bottom hurts after a short while on the wooden benches, so a few more cushions would be nice. But definitely worth a visit. :)

A super cozy Bavarian brewery. As you would expect. Food, drinks and service are top. In summer you can also enjoy the beer garden. We are here often. But you should make a reservation, especially in the evening. Especially on Schnitzel Sunday. We'll be back. Great pub/brewery. Keep it up!!!

The beer there is amazing, and the food is served very well both in taste and the portion is generous.

Very tasty schnitzels and on Sundays (except public holidays) an outstanding price-performance ratio. Eating a big schnitzel with all you can it schnitzel, just awesome! All this for just €15.55. You don't have to be ashamed to order another one, of course only if you can still manage it. According to the landlord, the rakord is 12 schnitzels, 😂 so it's definitely worth a visit with the very serious brewery atmosphere. I had the great pleasure of visiting Kleiner Brauhaus Dicker Mann in Munich and it was an absolute delight! Oktoberfest was really hectic, so I visited a restaurant a bit out of the way. Perhaps because it was a bit early in the evening by European standards, I liked the relaxed and quiet atmosphere and the friendly staff. The Lemonade Beer Radler, which was recommended as a sweet beer, was really delicious, and the Schweinhaxen was also delicious, but the traditional Saxony food with the texture of potato rice cake served on the side was especially fun because it had a new taste. Above all, that cream menu! I was worried because it was a bit expensive, but it was really delicious. Above all, it was great to encounter food in Europe that wasn't salty. The waiter was very kind and friendly, so even if my German wasn't good, there was no problem at all. As the sun went down, they lit candles and even brought sweets like Haribo and cookies to us when we left, so I enjoyed the warm and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to experience Bavarian food! I don't think the menu prices are that expensive for Europe.

The last time I visited the beer garden with my wife, after ordering two drinks and a main course, I asked for a second plate. Shortly afterwards the waiter came back to the table and explained that he was sorry but that he would have to charge an additional €1.80 for the extra plate. Apparently this business is doing so well economically that they don't want to have guests there who "actually" only order a main course and then charge "only 30 euros". It's better to scare them away that way! I find this business behavior to be almost outrageous, or at least extremely petty. But this is now probably common practice for many of the “perpetually complaining” restaurants in the “service desert” of Munich. I will certainly not visit the restaurant again or even recommend it to others.

The schnitzel day is highly recommended. The schnitzels are freshly prepared and arrive at the table hot. Staff is friendly and quick. We were there without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. But we will make reservations next time we visit.

Awesome find! Fantastic traditional Bavarian food. Great atmosphere. Food is outstanding!! *Warning* Menu is only in Bavarian. So just pick any meal and it will be delicious.
