I met friends here for the third time today. The other times the food was very good, but unfortunately today the goulash was totally over salted. Just send a note to service. Next time I'll return the dish. But I hope that something like this doesn't happen again. Unfortunately, it wasn't a brilliant performance by the kitchen!!

The Fat Man is a nice, quaint restaurant in Munich. The food is good, and the service is fast and friendly. We had roast pork with cabbage and potato dumplings. The prices for the food are reasonable (€14.90), but we found the drink prices a bit high (a 0.5-liter Spezi for €4.80). But that's probably pretty average for Munich. We went to the Fat Man again today and had an excellent meal. The roast beef with onions was fantastic, and we ate two portions of the apple fritters with ice cream for dessert. Everything was excellent, and the service was very friendly and attentive. That's exactly what you'd expect.

Unfortunately, there aren't enough staff anymore, so half of the beer garden is unusable. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated over the years.

On Sunday, we had schnitzel all you can eat. It's a bit of a shame the cordon bleu was already sold out. But otherwise, it was worth a visit.

Careful!!! They serve you a few pretzels at your table, without ordering and without asking questions. But at the end, you collect them.

So-so. The food and drinks were perfect. The acoustics were terrible. We had planned to visit the beer garden; due to the weather, we had to go inside.

The food is good. The schnitzels could be better breaded (there's not enough liability). The service is exceptionally friendly. The location is attractive. The beer garden is small but nice. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant for about five vehicles.

The Reiberdatschi (roasted dumplings with salmon) were absolutely delicious! The service was great, and the old wooden counter was a lovely eye-catcher!

The waiter is yelling across the entire dining room, even though I just needed a napkin to eat with. I don't feel like eating here again.

Local review. Food: Cooking ok, ordered 2 Schnitzel and a salad at the same time. So few fries for 19 euros(per Schnitzel...), could be counted on 10 fingers. Salad came 4-5 min after the Schnitzels. Service: Waitress tells us to sit at a table and then just... Does not come. Waited 20 min before we gave up and went to ask for ordering. Checkout was laughable, ok you need to go yourself inside to check out with card, asked waiter, the guy just goes away. At this point could have just walked out of the place (sic). Barman tried to help but he can't do the checkout (ok, fair from him). Atmosphere: Is good, though smokers and non smokers are mixed together. Overall: A bit of a pity, they did not ask for feedback, therefore this review. Bier is great, Ayinger, the best. Feels like they did not need us as customers. Went on Sunday evening.

Everything is perfect: food, staff and atmosphere...very good.

We arrived early in the evening, and even though everything was fully booked for the evening, they tried their best to get us a table. The service was very friendly, and the food was plentiful and delicious, with really reasonable prices. We will definitely be back. I lost my key while leaving the on-site parking lot. But the owner found it and even sent it home to me because I live in Regensburg and couldn't drive back to Munich right away. That was really very kind and definitely deserves an extra thank you. That's something you can't take for granted. In short: customer service is truly alive here. Bravo 🤩

We spontaneously arrived with seven people, which wasn't a problem. Our waitress, Brigitta, took excellent care of us. Thank you, and we'd love to come back.

Mass production instead of quality It's an absolute disgrace to serve a pork schnitzel that's overcooked and not even properly cooked. They should reconsider the giant schnitzel!!!!!!!! You could barely cut it on the plate; the fries 🍟 weren't even served separately and were over-fried. I got extreme stomach pains afterward... And yes, there was a small apology from the house and thanks to the friendly waitress; but she can't do anything about the poor quality. It's a shame ☹️; a tip was okay for her 👌🏽 But you can't have people squashed together at a table (which isn't designed for that))) It makes you feel uncomfortable

On Monday it was packed to the last seat, delicious food and friendly service… what more could you want?

We met a friend for their schnitzel buffet. Essentially, you order one and if you eat it you can get another. Had the traditional version with potatoe salad and it was great. Then got the Mexican version. Interesting but good. This one is not breaded.

I was visiting Munich, and my colleagues dragged me here. What can I say? The service was super cheerful and funny. The food was perfect, and the beer garden was beautifully shaded. The restaurant got full marks from me. I'll be back sometime.

Unfortunately, things have declined considerably – disappointing! We used to be regulars at this restaurant – even before the change of management – ​​and always had good experiences. Unfortunately, things have deteriorated significantly since then. We were there on a Sunday for the schnitzel special. The offer initially sounds good: For €18.90, you can try four different schnitzels. The price has increased by €4.50, which is basically understandable – but the real problem lies elsewhere. Instead of a fair portion of meat, you now get a ratio that feels like 1/5 schnitzel to 4/5 side dish. And to even try another schnitzel, you have to eat everything – including the excessively large amount of side dish. This way, you get full quickly without really being able to try different schnitzels. Unfortunately, this seems more like a trick to reduce the amount of meat served. It's a real shame – we liked the restaurant for a long time, but with this concept, which in my opinion is no longer customer-oriented, it's no longer fun, and we won't be visiting or recommending it! As proof, I'm attaching a photo of the receipt - unfortunately, we weren't issued a proper invoice!

Well, what can I say after today's visit to the restaurant? Bring enough time if the weather is nice and you want the all-you-can-eat schnitzel. The first schnitzel arrived after an okay wait, the second took another 25 minutes, and I canceled the third schnitzel (my last one) after a 40-minute wait because I was fed up. The restaurant was barely busy inside, the beer garden was about 60% full, although I'm sure not everyone had ordered schnitzel. My conclusion: it's not possible to eat all-you-can-eat here; unfortunately, you won't be seeing me again. The quality of the schnitzel and cordon bleu I ate was rather mediocre; what can I expect given the quantity, but it was okay. I think the children's schnitzel with fries is a bit too expensive at €10 for an all-you-can-eat schnitzel restaurant. The potato salad with the cordon bleu, I'm sure I'm mistaken, but it comes from a 50L bucket; I would have been very happy with a fresh one. The waitress was very attentive and even got a tip, but only 5% instead of 10%. A scoop of 1 was on the house, it should also be mentioned. But sorry, guys, for that money, you really have to get it together to get people their food. As proof that I was there and not complaining for no reason, receipt number 110509 from June 15, 2025, 2:31 PM, with the total amount of €89.90, including €95.

It's very rustic, which I like. The service was very friendly, but a bit slow at times. The food was okay, but the pork medallions were unfortunately tough, and I had to add a lot of salt. Even my companion, who eats less salt, added more salt. Given the price, I would have expected better.

Pleasant atmosphere. Portions are perfectly adequate and delicious. The chef himself is actively involved, which I really like because you don't see that very often these days.

A quaint Munich restaurant with Ayinger Bräu beer specialties. Located right next to the Michaelis Bad subway exit. The Bavarian menu caters to every appetite. The service was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the reasonably priced daily specials. The Fat Man offers a selection of vegetarian dishes.

Whenever we were in Munich for work, the Fat Man was a must. So, for the past few years, it's been 4-5 times a year. Last week, we were a bit disappointed. The food wasn't that great (we remembered it being better), and it was really bad when we had to pay a €1 surcharge for changes. And the €5 surcharge for two fried eggs was a bit steep, too.

Really great service and good food. The large schnitzel is really good value for money. It's quite quiet, even though it's on a busy street.

The Wiener schnitzel was too dry and unseasoned! Switching the side order from fried potatoes to fries costs extra!!!! The price/performance ratio is not right!

I was there today with four friends. I was the first one and was immediately shown to a table. Because of my walker, the table was so close to the bench that I had to stand for about ten minutes. The older ladies were very nice, but no one cared if I could sit down. It was a shame. When they finally left, I had to push the table. What a shame. When ordering, I asked for a side change. The lady was very friendly but said it was only possible for an extra €1. I said OK. The crispy turkey schnitzel was huge, but unfortunately lacked much flavor, and the fries were half-cooked. The others weren't that impressed with the food or the extra charge either. They'd been there several times and were always satisfied. They suggested the owner might have changed... all five of us are of the opinion that we won't be visiting this restaurant again. I can only speak for myself and say, once there and never again....

Comfortably furnished, simply beautiful here - MEEEEEEGA ATTENTION, GREAT SERVICE AND SOMETHING CHILD FRIENDLY♡♡♡ Always schnitzel day on Sundays - so it's only a matter of time until I'm a fat man too :) No matter, as long as I can get fat with your treats in my stomach!!! ;)

We spontaneously stopped in for an early dinner today. The welcome and service were very friendly. We ordered a Wiener Schnitzel and roast pork with dark Ayinger beer sauce and bread dumplings. Everything came quite quickly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very good. Roast pork was very tough, and the Ayinger beer sauce was just a powdered sauce. The crust was very hard and too salty. Unfortunately, everything about this dish tasted like a mess, including the dumplings! :( . Just a shame. More like a disgrace. //Somewhere else I've had a really great and authentic roast pork, tender and soft, with real gravy. Top quality and everything homemade, nothing from a packet. #elsewhere I got to try my husband's Wiener Schnitzel, and it didn't blow us both away. The breading just tasted old and sticky. It's even better at home. The schnitzel wasn't cooked properly in the fat. Personally, I think it's such a shame that we don't have to process such good food and resort to convenience products. I'm happy to pay a little more for real quality and get a great taste experience in return. The Fat Man isn't for me.

We went to the Dicker Mann today for the all-you-can-eat schnitzel Sunday and were thrilled! The service is exceptionally warm, attentive, and super friendly. You immediately feel welcome – even with your dog! Our two furry friends were lovingly welcomed and cared for. The food was excellent: crispy schnitzel, delicious side dishes, and everything freshly prepared. The value for money is absolutely spot on. A truly feel-good restaurant with a lot of heart, dog-friendly, delicious, and hospitable – we'll definitely be back! 🐶🍴❤️

A super-good place for typical German food. The place is charming, very attentive and welcoming, maintaining the tradition of this type of place. The food is very traditional and delicious. I recommend trying the entire menu. The beers are delicious and well-drawn. 100% recommended.

We were there for our communion this weekend. There was a reduced menu, which we had discussed in advance. The food was very good, especially the roast beef with onions. After it initially took a little longer for someone to come and take our orders because several people arrived at the same time, the service was all the more attentive afterward. Someone kept coming to ask if everything was okay and if we could get anything else. All the guests noticed this very positively. You should definitely make a reservation anyway, because the Fat Man is almost always full. This also makes it very noisy. We can also recommend Schnitzel Sunday.

Cheap lunch dishes with super friendly service

I had cheese spaetzle with fried onions and a small salad. Unfortunately, it was the most tasteless cheese spaetzle I've ever eaten. Was it even cheese? The passion fruit spritzer was mixed with either stale mineral water or medium carbonation, so that wasn't great either. My friends had veal schnitzel, which looked really good. So please use a slightly higher quality, cheese-flavored cheese for the cheese spaetzle. The service was quite nice.

This was actually a great restaurant years ago. On my last visit there were only two of us and an old men's regulars' table. They were so extremely loud that we almost had to shout at each other to have a conversation. Annoying but ok. However, it really pissed me off that I had to round up a €13 bill to €20 because all of a sudden it says card payments are only possible from €20 onwards. So I was absolutely ripped off as a customer. Cash fetishists might now say it's their own fault, but no, without a clear indication before I sit down and order, it's not ok. In addition, we live in the 21st century and everyone is slowly getting there. Definitely my last visit there.

At the Fat Man, things are hearty in Bavaria. The menu includes Bavarian classics in Bavarian style. Foreigners will have their difficulties. There are only a handful of dishes here for veggies - I counted 3 - meat lovers are spoiled for choice. Service is nice. The sun shines for a very long time in front of the Fat Man. There's beer from Ayinger.

I recently had a chance to visit Kleines Brauhaus, a cozy and rustic German restaurant that offers a very traditional dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by warm wooden interiors, vintage décor, and an inviting bar filled with local spirits and schnapps. The atmosphere is unmistakably German – think dark wood panels, decorative mugs, and a homely feel that makes you want to settle in and enjoy a hearty meal. We ordered three different dishes during our visit. The schnitzel was satisfying – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with golden fries. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. The steak, unfortunately, didn’t quite meet expectations. It was a bit tough and lacked seasoning, which was a shame compared to the other items. The third dish, Käsespätzle topped with crispy onions, was creamy, rich, and enjoyable – perfect comfort food if you like cheese and pasta. One of the best parts of the experience was the beer. I had a dark beer from Ayinger Privatbrauerei, and it was fantastic – rich, smooth, and very well-balanced. It paired perfectly with the heavier food options. The drink menu was also quite extensive, featuring a variety of schnapps, whisky, and long drinks, which adds a nice touch if you want to try some local specialties after your meal. Overall, Kleines Brauhaus is a great place to visit if you're looking for an authentic German restaurant vibe with solid beer offerings. While not every dish was perfect, the atmosphere and drinks definitely made up for it. I'd recommend it more for casual dining and drinks than for a gourmet meal – but if you're in the mood for schnitzel and beer, it's worth a stop.

Went to Schnitzel Sunday and the food was really good! But the organization, on the other hand, is bad. Unfortunately, waiting times of 45 minutes for the next schnitzel are not acceptable. Just like the stressed and therefore sloppy service. It's a shame, but unfortunately you couldn't convince us.

Was invited for a birthday. Was great. There were 2 colleagues there who were in Ramadan. Special requests, such as having your own pan for frying and punctual delivery at sunset, were fulfilled. People wouldn't even have to say you're fasting. The waitress noticed it straight away and responded very well. The store is great. The food was sumptuous and very tasty. You can see it in the many visitors I would recommend a reservation. If you're alone, I think you'll find a place.

Pork crust roast is my absolute favorite. I would have managed one more dumpling. MEGA The owner is a nice guy, very correct when things don't fit.

I'm going to miss the food because it was delicious, but I won't be going back there ever again because the service was so bad. The waitress was very rude.

A quaint and very good restaurant that unfortunately only rarely exists anymore. Very good price/performance ratio and great service. Two things that would even be worth a 6th star for me: Glass of tap water for children is free and ketchup/mayo are in bottles on the table :-)

The restaurant is not in the center but can be easily reached with the U5. The food is very good and the portions are perfect size! Very quaint!

Unfortunately, the food wasn't what I expected. The Schäuffele had probably been in the warming counter for a while and were almost dry. The Dampfnudel did not deserve its name. The inn itself was very cozy and the service was good.

Everything was fine, very friendly and pleasant service, food was very tasty and good portions, old but rustic gas house which I personally like very much. Highly recommended. I'd love to come back!

It could be perfect, unfortunately you sometimes have to wait forever (reordering schnitzel on schnitzel day is almost impossible, we were able to reorder once in over hours) and you have to pay almost €4 more for a tap water with your coffee for an order of several hundred euros. (>10 people)

Bavarian coziness and genuine hospitality are still alive here! The staff is exceptionally friendly, the Bavarian delicacies are simply delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy. A reservation is definitely recommended, as getting one of the coveted seats can be a challenge. If you love Bavarian delicacies, you shouldn't miss this inn - an absolute must! I would definitely like to come back!

Good Bavarian restaurant with excellent beer and tasty local specialties, good service - fast and attentive. Right next to ubahn entrance + there are plenty of parking spaces around.

Super delicious! Disabled access and toilets may be accessible by wheelchair if necessary. Prices very fair for the food. You should call beforehand. Good economies are always full.

No high cuisine, just down-to-earth food. The staff is nice and cares about the well-being of the guests. Reservations are recommended on Sunday as many people come because of the schnitzel promotion. It's right next to the subway and less than five minutes from Michaelibad.
