MOLA Ristorante & Café in Berlin

Unfortunately, the service was abysmal, even though the restaurant was almost empty. The wrong dishes were brought out, even though everything was clearly communicated. Afterwards, you had to argue to get the right dish. Special requests weren't even possible. Unfortunately, the food was only mediocre.

We have waiting more than 1h without any waiter attention.

So it's all true, we love to eat there. We come from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and have found a nice restaurant. We are the blonde lady and the one with the striking red hair. Greetings to the team. We will be guests again in October. Greetings

I had a very disappointing experience at Mola. The tablecloth was dirty when we arrived, and the service was aware but didn't care. Wuality of the food was nothing special. On top of that, there were wasps all around the tables, which made it very uncomfortable to sit outside. What shocked me the most was the price: in September 2025, I paid almost 20 euros for just a Margherita pizza and a 0.2L Coca-Cola (no ice, no lemon) on lunch time. Marggerita for 15 Euro was very similar to the frozen one you can buy at the supermarket. Definitely not worth it.

This place seems to have such a potential as you can sit outside very comfortably but the food was really underwhelming in my opinion. The carpaccio was the worst I’ve ever had. Service was nice but seemed so staged.

Good, as always. However, it's not enough if you're hungry. Unfortunately, there's no dish that includes the three components of potatoes, vegetables, and meat as a complete package. The missing side dish has to be ordered separately for an additional charge, but then the value for money is no longer there.

Another German waiter who thinks we Spaniards can't count. You ask for the bill, and they bring you the card reader without a receipt, with the amount inflated. When you insist on showing the receipt, they tell you to first pay the amount they entered on the card reader. You refuse, and then they bring you the receipt, which shows that the bill is lower. Be careful. With this attitude, the food's rating is the least of it.

We liked the food. What we didn't like was that when you ask for the bill, if you're a foreigner, they don't bring you the receipt. When you insisted, they told us to pay first and then they'd bring it to us. When we refused, the amount we had to pay was lower. He added whatever tip he thought was appropriate. Be careful. The guide told us they're paid their salary and you're not obligated, much less to be forced to pay.

Very nice ambiance. We visited twice during our stay in Berlin. First for dinner, and the next day for a small snack at lunch. There were six of us. Everyone was very satisfied; the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend Mola and would definitely visit again. We ordered spaghetti Bolognese and penne Gorgonzola. Sparkling water came with it. First, the water came out wrong, then spaghetti carbonara instead of Bolognese. The waiter tried to be friendly, but was beyond annoyed. He even tried to tell me that I hadn't ordered Bolognese, even though I had. The ambiance is fine; we sat at a table that wasn't nicely set. The food is okay, but the quality isn't worth the price.

A real highlight of our short trip to Berlin! 🍝 The pasta was incredibly delicious – beautifully seasoned and just the right amount of hot 🌶️😋. Plus, the super friendly and attentive service made us feel warmly welcomed 😊. Even though we were there on a Saturday evening, we got a great seat without any problems – and the service was lightning fast 🕒✨. An all-around wonderful experience. What a scam. When we wanted to pay with our card, the waiter was very keen on showing us to put in tips. But we choose no tips, which clearly was an offence to him. The terminal failed the payment and the waiter got a different terminal, where he magically had put in a 10% tip by himself. He then tried to explain us it was for service. The food is ok. Apart from them mixing up a pizza, and insisting on me to return to the table to confirm the mistake, even when my wife explicitly explained that I don't want tuna on my pizza. Ohh and then also serving a corner pice of tiramisu with the edge being only mascapone cream.

Almost no wait, nice and comfortable restaurant, the food is ok, but we did not try past or pizza, so cannot give an opinion there

Super hospitable and great food! Thank you for the warm hospitality and the delicious food. The cappuccino was especially great – it made waiting outside in the rain for the taxi seem less of a problem. All in all, a lovely visit, and I'd love to come back. Best wishes!

We ended up at the restaurant by chance. The waitress was very nice and the food came quickly…probably too quickly…my girlfriend and I felt very sick towards the end of the evening…and I ended up throwing up several times during the night…I really wasn't expecting food poisoning…in a place like that.

Overrated place for some Italian. Bolognese sauce was alright but the spaghetti was terrible. Way overcooked for a pasta. Margarita pizza was tasteless, with way too many empty crusty sides. They couldn't even slice it normally. You have to get your hands involved because the knife can't cut through the dough. The middle part of the pizza was not cooked. Tiramisu was a good end. At least it tastes like something. Wine was not cold and water was ~€4. It’s like a big tourist-trap for some very bad “Italian” food. Shame it had positive reviews on Google. Try some other places.

We were four people dining at MOLA Ristorante & Café in Berlin, and the total bill came to €86 — a very fair price for a delicious meal with drinks included. The pizzas were excellent — perfectly prepared, just like a proper Italian pizza should be, with a thin, crispy crust and fresh toppings. We only waited around 10 minutes for our food, which was impressive. I also tried the Pollo Caprese, and it was absolutely delicious — well-seasoned, juicy chicken paired beautifully with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. The only minor downside was the presence of a few wasps, which were a bit annoying during our meal. However, the waiter was attentive and did his best to help by covering our sweet drinks to keep them away. We appreciated the effort and friendly service. All in all, a great experience with tasty food, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Four of us went for dinner today. We had super delicious pizza and delicious ice cream. The owners are very friendly, and even our special requests were no problem.

Food was quite good and service was fine. I recommend the insalata mista over the caprese for the better price, quantity and flavor... the caprese was far too expensive for what it was.

Note: There are two shops here: On the corner is the café, very good breakfast, super friendly service, and very nice inside and out - highly recommended! Next door is the pizza restaurant, and that's why the rating isn't 5 stars. It was a very good shop before the change of ownership: - The pizza is absolutely unbearable. The problem is that every time (3 times?) I ordered one, it was soggy in the middle. Either it's the wrong oven or they take them out too quickly. It doesn't matter what the toppings are. - There are three types of pasta? So, less than at Aldi. - The staff, except for two colleagues, changes constantly, not a good sign. Conclusion: Great breakfast on the corner, not recommended the restaurant next door.

Sat down for 2 drinks, asked for the bill - paid by card, the server noticed I didn't tip and said "No tip?" and left without saying anything else. not sure if this is typical German/Berlin behavior or customs but seemed kind of off putting all the same edit: saw other responses from the restaurant that service is not included in the final bill which likely drew the response above from the server. perhaps instead of putting the burden of sustaining the staff of this restaurant on its customers, the employer could pay a living wage to its employees so the customers aren't guilt-tripped

The waiter was very nice to us until we got the bill and we weren't going to leave a tip - the reason being this was already out of our budget, we were making an exception, and we had no idea tips were a thing in Germany. The waiter directly asked "no tip?" when we were paying (seemed very rude thing to ask). And left without saying a word right after we paid, in a very uncomfortable way. I hope he reads this and understand how it's not right to guilt trip customers into not leaving tips which should be money paid by your employees not us. Also hoping he understands not all customers have the budget luxury to leave tips everywhere they go- specially for only 2 beers. Not to mention how this killed the mood.

Spend a few days in Berlin and decided to get breakfast here on the first day of our trip. It was excellent and also for a very reasonable price, so we ended up going back almost every day during our stay. Service was also great and very friendly!

We were looking for an alternative to the completely overpriced breakfast at the hotel. We stopped by "MOLA" on Sunday morning. Outside, under the trees, the tables were beautifully set, and we received a friendly welcome. We ordered two small breakfasts and two coffees – which turned out to be a real stroke of luck. Two cups of coffee, a bread basket with six small, delicious rolls, and two plates of sausage, jam, butter, and fruit(!) arrived at our table. All in all, a truly delicious breakfast! A real recommendation! The service was always attentive and friendly. We'll be back!

We chose this café for breakfast in the morning because it was very close to the hotel. The service was excellent, the breakfast was varied, and we really liked the smaller rolls they offer. The price/performance ratio is definitely good. If we're ever in Berlin again, we'll definitely visit it again. We highly recommend it.

We happened upon this place quite by chance, seeking temporary refuge from the heavy rain – and, as so often happens, the unplanned opportunities turned out to be the best. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious, yet so pleasantly designed that you can chat quietly at your table without having to share every word with your neighbors. The dishes – whether pizza or pasta – were freshly prepared and served with impressively high quality. We enjoyed ourselves very much, and we'll definitely be back at the next opportunity.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the service. One waiter had such an angry expression on his face that I felt truly uncomfortable. It seemed as if he was about to lose his temper at any moment. Overall, the staff was very unfriendly and not at all welcoming. The place itself was actually quite nice, with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was also okay, but nothing special. Nevertheless, what remains in my memory is the poor treatment of guests. This kind of thing shouldn't happen in the restaurant industry and unfortunately had a very negative impact on the visit.

I went to Berlin with some friends on a weekend getaway. We discovered this Italian restaurant and went back twice. The food, the service, and the location were all 10 points. Highly recommended.

Well... the pizza was tasteless, with no seasoning. There's much, much better pizza nearby. The pasta was made with tough beef. The restroom is embarrassingly broken, worn, and dirty. Truly shameful and inappropriate for the location.

The breakfast is plentiful, fresh, and delicious. We were a bit unlucky with a piece of pineapple, but that's certainly not something to be taken lightly. The value for money is excellent; we'd be happy to go back.

A quiet restaurant where we ate pizza. The pizza was tasty and well topped. The pizza crust was also good. The service was attentive and quick. The price-performance ratio is quite okay. Drink prices still within reason. However, parking spaces on the street are always full. The walk from the subway (Wittenbergplatz) is short. We also had breakfast there. This is also recommended.

Hiya! For starters, the food was quite cheap and tasted well. Our waiter was nice and gave us everything we asked for fairly swiftly. But there were big downs. Such as dirty glasses, plates and cutlery, we have asked for replacement many times yet the new ones still came dirty. Another HUGE down was that our waiter tipped himself without our permission, which in Europe is extremely inappropriate. Btw I would have tipped him 10%, if he didn't tip himself.

An Italophile atmosphere and a wonderful feeling of well-being with warm service

Cozy restaurant with tasty Italian food. Basically very friendly staff, but unfortunately some things did not go well. We wanted a relaxed meal, but the pace of serving was very high. When the antipasti was almost finished, the first 3 main courses appeared. The other 7 main courses followed about 10 minutes later. Our tip is therefore limited. The ministry expressed its dissatisfaction about this. Unfortunately very inappropriate ending.

Having breakfast here twice. Everything was good and staff was friendly and professional.

We were there for breakfast and had breakfast for two. What a surprise: There were lots of delicacies on a rotating plate: salmon, scrambled eggs, mozzarella with tomatoes, ham, cheese, cream cheese, fruit, jams, Nutella. Delicious and plentiful and of very good quality. Only the rolls were simple baked goods. Although the restaurant is located in a tourist hotspot, I can really recommend it. The toilets, however, are a disaster.

I was alone at an early dinner. There were a lot of waiters compared to the number of customers, but none of them were enthusiastic "salesmen". For example, no one checked after my meal whether I wanted, for example, add wine or see the dessert menu. I asked for the bill and left, even though I would have taken dessert and more wine if someone had asked me. Otherwise, the service was friendly, although a couple of guys seemed like they were on the job for the first day.

It only has the name of Italian but we know that abroad it is almost always like this, what shocked me the most was that despite having the tablecloth dirty with tomato sauce the waiter didn't want to change it, changing it only after insistence. The environment is definitely nice.

Took a while to be noticed for drinks. Food came quiet quick. Quality debatable. Amounts were good but chewy cheese and fatty salame. Antipasti was good.

We are staying in Berlin for a few days and have had breakfast on two occasions in restaurant Mola and everything from the food, service and the price was excellent. We have just had dinner and again it was excellent from food to service and price. Highly recommend if you are staying anywhere near the KaDeWe store in Berlin.

Just right for a small celebration - whether coffee & cake or small & large meals - there is something for every taste. Cakes are excellent and the pizzas were very good! We were served very courteously and warmly at a separate table for 10 people. Thank you Café Mola for this great visit.

Durante un reciente fin de semana largo en Berlín, desayunamos en este encantador restaurante italiano. Buena comida y buen servicio. Deliciosas tortillas y la granola parecía más un helado de helado, delicioso! Lo disfrutamos tanto que miramos el resto del menú y reservamos para la cena de la misma noche. Otra gran comida, súper pizzas y grandes porciones de pasta. Este fue un gran hallazgo, recomiendo este restaurante.

I'm an Irish lady, english speaking, who travels for work alone, I've been to Berlin 4 times now and have eaten in this restaurant many times, I can't recommend the food, wine and decor enough as its traditional Italian food with a very cosy and stylish decor, The staff I have found to be mostly friendly and accommodating. However, tonight, as I was paying my bill, one of the male staff made a comment in German towards me, and the other staff members ran off laughing... I felt quite uncomfortable and couldn't leave there quick enough. I shall never visit again! Very rude!!

Had lunch at Molazu and it was really excellent and very tasty. The Insalata Mista was also dressed with a delicious house dressing. Delicious pasta delicious pizza. We can recommend Mola 👍

I don’t recommend this place, although the people working there were great the bad atmosphere coused by the chef of staff was easily sensed even by me and my family as guests. The runners were clearly frightened of him he was impolite to them in surrounding of costumers. Meanwhile they were doing all the hard work he was sitting with some guy friends who didint even order anything, chatting and laughing while keeping the table occupied for guests that were waiting to eat. I was feeling embarrassment for people working there really. Despite our food was alright, i really recommend you nothing else but to avoid this place. I don’t stand up for bullying and unpleasant work environments. Going to that restaurant you support this kind of behaviour!!!

Although we have often eaten well, we were extremely disappointed today when we were “forced” by a female waiter to take a small table for two despite the restaurant being empty!

Had a cup of tea and ate a pizza. Tea was okay but expensive. The pizza, on the other hand...there was nothing Italian about it. Soggy base and no crispy crust. I make them better myself (and am not a professional). This could really be much better! There won't be a next time

Very nice restaurant and nice ambience. But unfortunately for New Year's Eve I personally reserved a table for 8 p.m. On New Year's Eve they told me that I had one hour because they would close at 9pm. Although they didn't say anything about it when we made the reservation. In an hour I had to stress-eat the starter, salad and main courses and leave the restaurant. My New Year's Eve meal was ruined. Too bad

We didn't have a reservation but we got a table easily. The Toscana pizza was the best in a long time. The staff is helpful, relaxed and very friendly. Price-performance is top. Gladly again...

First of all, it took way too long for the starter to arrive. People who came after us were already eating dessert. When the main course arrived after a longer wait, it was cold. After a while it came back a little warmer. But my partner had already finished eating. An interim order for another glass of wine also took so long that we had to ask for it again. Another waiter tried to make up for it with coffee and limoncello but we declined. My evening was already ruined.

I've eaten there several times now. It was always tasty. The service is quick and courteous, the atmosphere is cozy. In summer you can sit outside with a view of Wittenbergplatz and KadeWe.

We had an Italian meal in the evening and breakfast in the adjacent café in the morning and both were very good and special. The ambience of the restaurant is very impressive due to the ceiling paintings. A very nice waiter served us and we ate fantastic pizza - at the end we got an amaretto on the house. The breakfast the next morning was also very good and beautifully presented. We were welcomed very friendly and looked after. Gladly again on the next trip to Berlin.

The breakfast was really good, fruit was fresh, eggs were tasty. But... Weirdest thing. I ordered a coffee with milk, and ten minutes later they brought me coffee with two creamers. So I repeated my request for milk, and after I had to explain to the waiter that no, creamer isn't milk, it took them ten more minutes to bring milk, so my coffee wasn't hot anymore. They also brought the tiniest little metal container I've ever seen and I have a strong suspicion it was just filled with creamer and not actually milk. I ordered a second cup of coffee WITH MILK, they brought my second cup ten minutes later with packaged creamer again. What, are they growing the beans back there? Are they milking the cow themselves? And it wasn't busy either, there were three tables sat. Just an odd experience.

09-12-2024 the four of us ate a soup. 10-12-2024 enjoyed a nice breakfast with the four of us. Well organised. Not a nuisance but a commercially strong waitress.

The food and the atmosphere was excellent specially the service staff (Onur) was amazing.

My daughter ate pizza here with her friend last night and then had a stomach ache all night long and vomited three times and the room was full of cheese. Please be careful at this store if you want to order pizza or eat here.
