Good Italian restaurant with authentic cuisine. I've tried pizza, pasta, salad, and antipasti on several visits. Only the ciabatta could be fresher. Very dry. Ideal restaurant before visiting the Friedrichstadtpalast or the QCC.

You buy food, they don't want to bring water.

I didn't understand the rather low rating. We had a great time there, although it was quite stuffy inside, but you can sit outside. The service was perfect, ordering was immediate, helpful, food was on the table within 15 minutes. And perfect. Pizza´s dough BRAVO, salads were all seasoned, pasta as well. The portions were enormous. But simply the best staff

The lunch menu is amazing; all the dishes are freshly prepared, and with drinks and coffee, the price is unbeatable at €10.70. I could never cook lunch that cheaply. The service is friendly and hospitable; I felt very comfortable. Thank you for everything!!!

Food was very tasty and very plentiful. We also couldn't complain about poorly seasoned food. If that's not enough, you should simply season your bruschetta with pepper and salt (there's something like that at the table for that). Service was super friendly and nice. And the prices are reasonable. I can definitely recommend the Giotto without reservation.

You should try hard to make pizza that untasty

Als Friedrichstadtbesucher suchten wir nach einem Lokal in der Nähe. Diese konnte aber leider nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, dass das Essen wirklich sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich nicht ansprechend war. Penne al arabiata waren nicht ansatzweise!! Gewürzt oder scharf, hätte jedes 4 jährige Kind essen können. Die Pizza lag hell und leichig auf dem Teller und lud ebenfalls nicht ein. Selten bei einem Italiener so schlecht gegessen. Preise sind sehr in Ordnung. Hier scheint einfach der Koch schlecht zu sein.

The food was really nasty, and we had to wait for a whole hour for our order. The waitress only spoke four words to us and was completely unprofessional. Afterwards, I felt pressured to give her a generous tip that she definitely didn’t deserve. The place itself was shabby, and the prices were way too high. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

¡Vaya hallazgo! Excelente restaurante italiano justo enfrente del Friedrichstadt Palast - que era nuestra siguiente parada en nuestra noche. El restaurante estaba tan ocupado, lleno de comensales pre-teatro y muy popular entre los residentes locales - siempre una buena señal. El personal era muy amable , a pesar de que se precipitaron de sus pies . Teníamos una deliciosa selección de platos principales - pasta y pizza, que eran porciones de buen tamaño. No podíamos irnos sin probar algunos de los exquisitos y deliciosos postres. Tuvimos el vino más increíble de Sicilia - Andrero. El ambiente era genial , la comida increíble y muy, muy razonable precio para un restaurante tan céntrico, darle una oportunidad.

Food not special! Bruscetta too coarsely cut and not seasoned. Dishes with pasta (not good quality) and tomato sauce not particularly good. Tiramisu wasn't what it should be either. We were disappointed.

Like so many others, we stopped here before a performance in the Friedrichstadtpalast opposite. Therefore: location great! However, the service staff seemed absolutely unfriendly, arrogant and annoyed. The food is mediocre but ok for the price. The ambience is okay, but the room is far too crowded with tables and chairs. The waitress bumps into her furniture, which is far too close together, and looks at me annoyed instead of apologizing for the bump. Sorry for being here...I definitely won't come back.

Food is okay nothing extraordinary but it’s spacious and fast. Menu are all in Italian so be ready with your google translator. Servers can’t speak english well.

The service was there very quickly and the drinks and food were also delivered quickly. Unfortunately, the “pre-bread” was extremely dry and had obviously been there for a while; the portions of pasta were too small for it to cost so much money. So value for money is not particularly good.

The food was very tasty, we both had a pizza, unfortunately there was no pure salami pizza (which didn't really bother), but there is a point deducted because of the waitress. The lunch menu lasts until 4 p.m., we were at the table at 3:25 p.m. and she told us directly "if you want the lunch menu, do it now because it's almost over", with a rude tone of voice.... Food disappointing. The location is great if you attend a performance in the Friedrichstadtpalast. Directly opposite! But for our group celebration with 8 people it was a failure. Pasta without taste, poor pasta sauces too. Any canned sauce tastes better. No individual opinion, unfortunately all of our guests felt the same way. But in self-denial they politely ate their plates first... Bruchetta was ok, slightly darkly toasted. The antipasti went. But not a highlight either. Cold cuts are ok, you can hardly spoil them. Cheese tasteless. Fried vegetables also no burner. Except for the onions. Our opinion: a slightly longer route could be worth it. By the way, the facility does not correspond to the pictures on Google.

I was lucky to get a table. I ordered an Alster and a Pizza Tonno. I received friendly service and didn't have to wait long for my order. The pizza was very tasty.

Splinters of glass in the pizza. My wife and children ate there today. The children couldn't finish their pizza and brought the leftovers with them. I then wanted a piece of it for dinner. Bite deeply into an approx. 1cm long shard of glass that was under the mushrooms. I've been in the world for a few Thursdays but I've never had anything like this. Anyone who processes food so sloppily should be closed.

It was very tasty and right opposite the Friedrichstadt-Palast, if you reserve in advance you can eat well here before the event.

I've never been to such a bad pizzeria. Dry pizza, expensive and small. No bread was served with the meal, a few olives were carelessly placed on the table. Uncomfortable location, service like in a scary movie. Empty plates were not put away either... No value is placed on satisfied guests here... without passing customers the shop would have no chance of survival.

Small but simple restaurant. Opposite the Friedrich Stadt Palast. This was recommended to us by friends. All I can say is... mega delicious food. Nice service and we didn't wait long for our food. Really recommended

Very rude and unnecessarily angry waitress. We had reserved our table online as we knew it would be busy on NYE, only for her to turn us away, denying a reservation had been made. They did “accommodate” and gave us a table at the end. Food was average, nothing worth facing the public embarrassment for. Pizza was burnt and tasted like cardboard. Strongly recommend against.

Wir waren angelockt von einer Tafel vor dem Restaurant. Kürbis Risotto mit Jakobsmuscheln, Scampi und Schinken für 23,50 €. Dann bestellt wie draußen gesehen und meine Frau wollte Penne mit Rindfleisch. Der bestellte Wein schmeckte nach nichts, das Bier war o.k. vom Fass. Das Essen kam nach ca. 20 Minuten, Gastraum war schwach besucht, alles o.k. Letztlich wurde nur das Risotto aus der Speisekarte gereicht. Ich fragte: wo sind die Jakobsmuscheln und der Kürbis? Die Kellnerin fragte in der Küche nach und kam mit der Antwort: "das von draußen gibt es nicht mehr". Wir haben auch gar keine Jakobsmuscheln mehr. Das Pilz Risotto schmeckte und es waren sogar 2 Scampi und 3 Scheibchen Schinken auf dem Teller und das für 23,50 €. Das Essen meiner Frau schmeckte z.T. nicht nach Rind sondern Schaf ähnlich, war es schlecht? Ab dem Abend bekam sie starke Bauchschmerzen und musste sich übergeben. Wir denken, dass es am Essen lag, denn anderes hatten wir nicht mehr zu uns genommen. Das einzige nette an diesem Restaurant war die Kellnerin, sie bat uns auch noch beim bezahlen ein Espresso auf Kosten des Hausen an (wegen der nicht lieferbaren Speise). Alles in allem, da gibt es einige bessere Italiener in der Nähe. Hier werden wir nie wieder Halt machen.

You can eat, service was very nice, but the price-performance ratio is not right. A bit like a train station atmosphere, if you like that, then that's the right thing:)

Wir waren zum Berlin Marathon und kurz vor der Vorstellung im Friedrichstadtpalast mit 4 Personen hier essen. Trotz, das das Restaurant sehr voll war wurden wir sehr nett bedient und das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir habe vorher reserviert, denn sonst hätten wir keinen Tisch mehr bekommen. Jederzeit gerne wieder

Couldn’t describe the food, it was busy- simply went inside to ask if there were open tables or if it was reservation only (as there were not any signs) and waitress rudely dismissed us… so that’s the only experience we can comment on.

Das Restaurant war sehr voll,der Kellner freundlich.Zu unserer Vorspeie mussten wir uns das Öl und Salz vom Nachbartisch holen.Das Brot/Baguette hat alt und trocken geschmeckt.Die Pizza kam sehr schnell und war reichhaltig belegt aber geschmacklich ungenießbar.Ich hatte Hunger und liebe Pizza aber ich habe über die Hälfte dagelassen.Vielleicht hatten wir den Abend einfach nur richtig Pech,denn das Bruschetta und die Nuden meiner Begleitung waren auch nicht sehr lecker und sehr lieblos angerichtet.Unsere Gläser waren vom Spülen noch nass,das heißt zwar dass sie wohl sauber waren aber angenehm fand ich es nicht in einem Restaurant.Schade denn die anderen Bewertungen hier sagen etwas anderes.

Die Pizza Giotto war ein Traum. Wir haben nur die Pizzen probiert, können wir sehr empfehlen. Geschmacklich super und wirklich viel Belag. Gern wieder 😃

Spaghetti waren gut und schnell da. Die außerdem bestellte Pizza wurde vergessen. Service schnell aber unfreundlich. "Carbonara haben wir nicht. Mir fehlen Zwiebeln und Eier". Auch noch nicht gehört...

Nudelgasmus vom feinsten. Die gefüllten rote Beete Gnocchi mit Gorgonzolasauce haben alle Erwartungen weit übertroffen. Stolzer, aber angemessener Preis.

Sehr gute Lage. Sehr arrogantes Personal. Essen war gut. Kühle nicht gemütliche Atmosphäre. Bedienung sehr langsam und wir mussten quasi betteln, ob wir was bekommen. Und dann hat von 4 Essen auch noch eins gefehlt. Wir gehen nicht mehr hin.

Nachdem wir rechtzeitig online ein Tisch reservierten und pünktlich zum Buchungstermin erschienen sind stellten wir fest, dass das Restaurant Montags Ruhetag hat... leider stand davon nicht auf der Homepage bzw. auch nicht bei Google... wir waren sehr hungrig und enttäuscht.

Super leckeres Essen. Pizza und Nudeln sind überaus empfehlenswert. Es wird auf Änderungswünsche des Gastes flexibel eingegangen. Wenn man zB Fleisch abbestellt, wird sogar dafür mehr Gemüse ergänzt. Alle Gerichte können auch vegetarisch serviert werden. Der Service ist super. Nettes Ambiente, schöne Hintergmusik.

ich war gestern mit meiner mutti zu ihrem 45ten geburtstag dort essen. es war alles perfekt. wir hatten vorab telefonisch reserviert. das restaurant ist klein aber fein, ausreichend. der kellner, ich glaube giovanni hieß er, war fix bei uns am tisch und die bestellten speisen und getränke waren nach weniger als 10 min da. obwohl nur ein kellner und eine barfrau vor ort war, wurden alle gäste fix bedient. muss sagen habe noch nie so einen schnellen service erlebt. essen war top, genau die richtige menge, nicht zu viel, nicht zu wenig. sah sehr sehr ansprechend aus und schmeckte auch so. salate sind riesig. preislich sehr günstig, top qualität. toiletten und allgemein sehr sauber. ausreichend toilettenpapier und seife. die nicht geschafften reste wurden auch ohne probleme eingepackt. ambiente stimmte auch. habe ein ordentliches trinkgeld gegeben. das beste restaurant in dem ich je gegessen habe! wer etwas anderes sagt liegt falsch, denn ich bin bei sowas sehr pingelig. würde es jedem weiterempfehlen! wir kommen wieder!

Waren dort als wir auf Klassenfahr waren, In den Nudeln von einem von unserer Gruppe wurde mit einem Haar verfeinert und die Veganen Pizza war In Öl getränkt und es konnte man schon Suppe nennen. Meine Magarita war aber voll in Ordnung und deshalb war es auch bisschen lustig, Aber würde ich nicht direkt empfehlen dort zu essen
