San Marco in Berlin

Essen war soweit ok und preiswert. War schon öfters dort. Auch das Lokal ist nicht schlecht. Aber schnelle Bedienung ist was anderes. Ich musste fast 10 Minuten warten, obwohl der Kellner (= Chef) permanent an meinem Tisch vorbeigelaufen ist, Tische abgeräumt und mit Gästen geplaudert hat. Das wäre nicht wirklich ein Problem, wenn er sich kurz entschuldigt hätte. Aber das Schlimmste war seine Reaktion. Keine Entschuldigung. Im Gegenteil, ich sollte das Lokal verlassen, weil ich den Chef sprechen wollte. Der Barkeeper war sehr freundlich und ich habe wenigstens ein Bierchen trinken können.

Für den Preis unschlagbar... immer wieder gerne

Sorry was versteht man hier unter Lasagne. Es war ein Klumpen Nudeln und Fleischsauce...natürlich reduziert und Käse einfach nur drüber gegossen. Geht gar nicht.

Zunächst einmal: Lassen Sie sich nicht von der „Pizza XXL“ täuschen – sie hat die normale Größe, die man überall bekommt! Ich habe darum gebeten, den Käse auf meiner Thunfischpizza durch Kapern zu ersetzen, und sie haben mir das trotzdem berechnet. Ich bin mir sicher, dass Käse teurer ist als Kapern. Die Pizza ist ziemlich durchschnittlich, aber für einen schnellen Imbiss okay. Vor allem zu dem Preis, den man für die reguläre Speisekarte zahlt, ist sie mittags ein gutes Angebot.

Sehr leckeres Essen, und meines Erachtens nach auch wirklich preiswert! Achtung, es wird keine Kartenzahlung angeboten. (Leider gab es auch keine entsprechende Beschilderung)

Nettes Restaurant mit angenehmem Ambiente. Besonders den kleinen Teich mit den Schildkröten finde ich gut. War früher mein Stammrestaurant. Jetzt auf Grund der steigenden Preise leider nicht mehr so oft da. Die Kampfpreise für Pizza 2,70EUR wie ich 2008 hergezogen liegen jetzt mittlerweile bei 6,90EUR. Schade auch, das die Knoblauchcremesuppe von der Karte gestrichen wurde. Und man kann nur noch ab 20€ mir Karte bezahlen, was sehr ärgerlich ist, wenn man spontan nur ne Pizza holen will. Und warum man sich nicht traut die Preise auf die Karte zu schreiben online weiß ich nicht.

die kellner sind super aufdringlich obwohl man vorher nett sagt wie man es möchte. die kellner starten super unangenehm alle frauen an. bier unter dem eichstrich. werde nicht wieder kommen. früher war der laden viel besser, super schade.

Ein wirklich schönes italienisches Restaurant. Gute Preise, absolut köstliche Lasagne, sehr professioneller Service und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder 😄

Das Essen war fantastisch! Auch die Getränke waren köstlich und preiswert. Die Einrichtung ist super gemütlich und das Personal sehr charmant und freundlich. Absolut empfehlenswert bei einem Berlin-Besuch. Wir empfehlen die Penne mit Hühnchen und Pilzsoße.

Das Essen ist schlecht, überhaupt nicht lecker. Es ertränkt in Soße und ist schlecht zubereitet. Es fühlt sich an, als wäre es aufgewärmt und gefroren gewesen. Es ist nicht wirklich italienisch und wurde lieblos und ohne Sorgfalt zubereitet. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm und die Bedienung schnell und freundlich. Ich werde dort nie wieder hingehen.

Essen ging, Service auch okay, nichts Besonderes. Keine Kinderkarte oder Kinderessen. Schade, was für eine Ressourcen- und Lebensmittelberschwendung. Ich hab selbst keine Kinder, aber eine Freundin hatte ihren Jungen mit bei. Der hat 2 Stücken von der Pizza geschafft, den Rest habe ich dann in einen Faiteiler gebracht. Voller Preis natürlich, ich kenne kinderfreundliche Restaurants einfach anders.

Wir kamen am Freitag in Berlin an und entdeckten dieses Restaurant zufällig. Köstliche Vorspeisen, gefolgt von einem Hauptgang. Es war viel zu viel, deshalb verzichteten wir auf den Nachtisch. Letzten Sonntag reservierten wir und bestellten diesmal einen Hauptgang mit Nachtisch. Das Essen war hervorragend; ich habe noch nie so gut in einem italienischen Restaurant gegessen. Der Service war tadellos und sehr freundlich.

Miserabel!!! Die Vorspeise , Fruti de Mare waren tiefgefroren, auf die Pasta haben wir 40 min gewartet... Und nie bekommen, nach mehrfachen nachfragen beim Personal gab es nur patzige Antworten. Die Vorspeise wurde voll berechnet, obwohl sie zurück gegangen ist! Nie wieder und absolut NICHT zu empfehlen!!! Das hat den ganzen Sonntag versaut!!

Das Lokal sieht ganz nett aus, aber das Essen war nicht so, wie ich es erwartet hatte. Hoffentlich bessert es sich noch.

The quality is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive. They cater to every request. The appetizers are delicious. The pizzas are great, and the price is fair, especially for students.

Every pizza for €6.90 is quite a bargain! But it should taste good too! My pizza, and those of my colleagues and the operations manager, were dry, hard, and the dough was way too salty... Unfortunately, not so great!!!

The salmon pasta gave us terrible food poisoning. Beware and please do better

We were ripped off and the food was terrible. The food was really bad, it had little to do with Italian cuisine. However, the portion was large for the price. 5/10 The Pizza San Marco had four half-slices of salami. The Pasta Aglio e Olio was tasteless. On top of that, a bottle of wine was added to the bill. Only after we asked about the bill did they come and say it was a mistake. This place is best avoided.

It is absolutely intrusive when the card reader "recommends" how much of a tip is desired, especially when the smallest amount is 10%.

Came for lunch when it was quiet, we sat near the front door but it was way bigger on the inside. Very comfortable and the price to worth ratio here is overall crazy. I honestly just wanted to get a quick bite and a lasagna but was really surprised due to the taste and price. I had grilled chicken and my girlfriend had the lasagna and both were terrific. Service was really polite and friendly, the wait for the food didn't take long and they also brought free bread. Free bread is always a plus.

Please never take the filled beetroot gnocchi off the menu. I have rarely eaten anything so delicious.

Seriously, what were you thinking, adding three tiny potatoes to a €16.50 chicken breast fillet? People, don't order anything with potatoes there. If I had ordered penne with mushroom chicken breast, it would have been €4 cheaper and I would have gotten more for my money.

I was kicked out today, November 2nd, 2025, because I dared to ask, as the only guest, how long they take to brew my carpaccio!!! It's a cold appetizer!!! Is that even allowed???

We visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday and were very pleased. The food was delicious, the portions generous, and the prices absolutely fair. We would especially like to commend the exceptionally friendly waiter, who served us attentively and warmly. We were there with our elderly and ailing mother, and it was a very kind gesture that he wished us all the best as we left – it truly touched us. We will definitely be back!

So, three half potatoes and a few vegetables put the steak's €22.50 price into perspective. The steak was sinewy and therefore not worth the price. I'd recommend a pizza instead for a great price-performance ratio. The steak alone didn't fill me up.

We were regulars at San Marco many years ago until the service and food declined significantly. Today, we thought we'd try again, as there are so many good reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed again...it wasn't busy. A few of us arrived a little late and had to wait for our menus, and we waited for our already ordered drinks. Starters were bruschetta, which consisted of more onions than tomatoes. The pizzas could have been frozen; the dough was undercooked and too thick. The penne con pollo with chicken and mushrooms consisted of more chicken than mushrooms and pasta, which would have pleased others, but not us. It wasn't until it got busier that the service became more alert, but by then we were already about to leave. Our conclusion: once and never again.

I've been a regular for 15 years, and what I experienced today... Horrible, I was scared, and was already thinking about calling the police. We complained about the food once because the steak wasn't medium as ordered, but rather well-done. The story is beyond words, indescribable. We were scared!!!!! NO LONGER RECOMMENDED!!!!!!! My wife and I eat here very often, and we always receive a warm welcome from the owner and the waiters. Today we had a delicious rump steak. And it was presented beautifully, beyond words.

The pizzas were delicious! There's such a wide selection that it's hard to choose 😄 I had a pizza with potatoes and Italian sausage, which I really enjoyed. They also give you a free bottle of spicy oil, which I think is great. The prices are also very reasonable; pizzas are €6.90.

In short, the food was delicious and, above all, warm! The staff was refreshing and attentive. The value for money is good! It's bigger than expected, with plenty of space inside and outside. See you next time!

We were here four months ago, and everything was fine. What happened? We were at San Marco today and ordered schnitzel with Gorgonzola sauce and chicken with pepper cream sauce. The wrong food arrived, so we approached the waiter, and he started arguing with us, saying we had ordered it. We denied this, but he looked at the menu and agreed with us and replaced the food. The food arrived poorly dressed and without salad. The sauces were completely bland. The bruschetta appetizer was also off the mark. You could count the tomato pieces on the slices of white bread, there was so little topping. It's a shame. We used to enjoy going to this restaurant because everything was perfect: service and good food. Unfortunately, they're out of stock.

A cozy Italian restaurant on Schönhauser Allee. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the service is very friendly. The menu features typical Italian pasta and pizza dishes. Occasionally, there's a special menu with seasonal specialties. The lighting is quite dim, and I'm not sure if the three turtles in the tank at the back of the restaurant are being kept in a species-appropriate manner.

The value for money is excellent. The food and cocktails aren't Michelin-starred, but they're very good for the price. The waiters are very friendly, customer-oriented, and always in a good mood. I've been here many times and have always been satisfied.

The pizza is cheap. That's the end of the positives. The dough was very soggy. The ingredients were spread too thinly. The biggest mistake was the drink. I had to pay €7 for a 0.4l tonic. Not a gin and tonic! That meant the one drink cost as much as the pizza. Incidentally, the bill included two 0.2l tonics for €3.50 each. Congratulations: One less guest in the future.

We were there on the weekend of June 7th, unfortunately for the last time. The restaurant used to be really good, but since the new owner took over, a lot has changed for the worse. The service was very disappointing. You aren't served with friendliness or attention, but rather with arrogance. The staff seem disinterested – they don't check on the guests, don't come over to take your order, or ask if you want anything else. Instead, they're playing on their phones, smoking outside, or talking loudly among themselves. As a guest, you feel more like an intrusion than welcome. The situation when paying was particularly annoying. We were told that card payments weren't possible, even though we saw that other tables were paying by card. So we had to go out and get cash. This was not only inconvenient, but also seemed dishonest. Additionally, you get the feeling that you're being gossiped about or even insulted in a different language – you may not understand it, but the tone of voice and the looks unfortunately speak for themselves. Overall, a very disappointing visit – a shame, because the restaurant used to have a completely different, much more welcoming atmosphere. The way it's currently run, the food is good, but unfortunately, we can't recommend it.

I visited your restaurant today with a friend, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered two pizzas: one with tuna and one with mushrooms. Instead, I was served a single pizza with both tuna and mushrooms together, even though I clearly asked for them to be separate. I politely explained the mistake to the waiter and clarified that I wanted one pizza with just tuna and one with just mushrooms. However, instead of correcting the pizza with tuna by removing the mushrooms, I was simply brought an additional mushroom pizza, and the incorrect tuna-and-mushroom pizza was left as it was. I’m deeply disappointed by this situation. It’s really upsetting that even after pointing out the mistake, no real effort was made to fix it. :(

Ordered drinks and food. Drinking came quickly. Pizza didn't arrive for 30 minutes. At the empty restaurant. When paying, the waiter simply kept the change and saw it as a tip. The pizza only tasted like cheese and there were hardly any side dishes on it. That was the first and last time I ate and drank in this restaurant.

The toilets are at ground level in the back, but are not wheelchair accessible. There are also tables outside, which we will try out in the summer.
