Super Italian restaurant have been there more often now

The food is incredibly delicious and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommended, excellent value for money.

The food was excellent, from appetizers to dessert. We enjoyed everything. The staff was attentive, friendly, and pleasant.

The food at this Italian restaurant is truly top-notch – super delicious, fresh, and served quickly. The value for money is also absolutely perfect. I particularly like the fact that families with children are seated a bit apart so that they don't disturb each other – a great solution. The service, however, is a bit mixed: outwardly very friendly Italian, but as soon as you ask for something special, you immediately notice that this friendliness is more of a fake. Eye rolling or an annoyed undertone somewhat spoils the picture. All in all, I enjoy going there, especially because of the quality of the food – if the service were more relaxed and authentic, it would be perfect.

If you like a lot at a reasonable price and don't care about quality, this is the place for you. Although the waiters speak Italian, I can't imagine the restaurant is run by Italians, unless the owner despises Italy... My three courses were all an insult to the sense of taste. The worst thing, in my opinion, was that every course was prepared and then simply heated in the microwave. The cream of chanterelle soup could have tasted good, but it was ice-cold with a lukewarm crust. The fish platter, although heated, was so tasteless that it was barely edible. It's a shame to treat produce like this. Then there was the bedside table, which could have tasted good, but came out of the freezer already decorated. Frozen panna cotta with frozen sauce, frozen tiramisu, and frozen semifreddo. Almost worse than the food is the noise and the hustle and bustle. It's so loud that you can hardly have a conversation. A headache afterward is part of the experience. I feel sorry for the service staff who have to work under these conditions. The fact that the tone there is often a bit harsh isn't nice, but somehow understandable. If you're clueless about Italian food, if good quality isn't that important but are happy with a lot at a reasonable price in a pleasant atmosphere, then this is the place for you. Everyone else should look elsewhere.

Even after the coronavirus pandemic, it's still great! The food and drinks are still good to very good, and the service is as friendly, fast, and attentive as ever. It's always nice to sit there and enjoy. Best regards, U. Knebel

My go-to Italian restaurant for many years. You can't go wrong here! Whether it's lunch or dinner, just for fun or to celebrate. The food is always excellent, the service is always friendly and attentive, and there's a nice place to sit both inside and outside. Unbeatable value for money!

We've been there two or three times. On our last visit, two out of four people had mild stomach upset immediately afterward (1 pizza Diavolo and 1 pasta with chanterelle mushrooms and chicken)....otherwise, the pizza was delicious, and so were the pasta. The tables are very, very close together...it's difficult to get from the terrace to the restroom...bottom line, not like a real Italian restaurant (where else do you find those? At least, they're rare), but still decent, and of course, cheaper.

We've been visiting here at least once a month for over two years. The service is always friendly, special requests are always accommodated, and the food is delicious and the wines are excellent.

I don't know how many times I've been here with friends or family - we're always impressed by not only the very fresh and delicious food, but especially by the friendly service, even when they barely have time due to the large number of guests. I recommend everyone the very large appetizer platter for two people, which is also enough for four. The terrace is huge, with two large fountains where the water gently trickles. There's also a parking lot for guests.

Always an experience! The restaurant is always busy – a reservation is highly recommended. Despite the enormous demand, the service team is remarkably efficient and friendly. The food is always a highlight: fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared. The birthday surprise was particularly nice – including singing and a small gift. A wonderful gesture that made the evening unforgettable. Conclusion: If you're looking for quality and atmosphere, this is the place for you!

Great restaurant! Professionally run! Food like an Italian restaurant 🤗🤭. I didn't rate the ambience highly. It's too loud inside for me/us when all the tables are occupied. Plenty of seating, so if you're unlucky, you'll easily wait an extra 45 minutes.

We sat for 20 minutes. We were seated at a table that hadn't even been cleared by the previous guests. Dirty dishes lay on the table, and even the tablecloth was stained. The waiters must have walked past us 10-15 times in those 20 minutes. All the guests were served except us. Nothing was cleared away, nor were our orders taken. Absolutely disastrous service. A shame.

Impossible, we got a table and had to wait 30 minutes for the menu and in the end we didn't even get it.

I was there with my family and friends. We had to wait over 30 minutes before someone asked what we wanted to drink, and then we had to ask several times about the drinks we ordered. The pizzas were all too dry or burnt. I don't even want to start talking about the cleanliness. I don't want to see what the people before me ate on the tablecloth. Once and never again...

The seating and dining here are excellent. We eat here regularly. And no matter what we've eaten so far, it's never been disappointing. A top choice for lunch, too. Today, I can only say: excellent!

The restaurant is absolutely overrated. It doesn't live up to its reputation. I don't understand why the "haute volée" flocks here. The waiters, and the staff in general, are excellent, fast, and super friendly. The food is good, but nothing special. The tablecloths are dirty. The dishes are old, worn, grimy, and chipped. The path to the restrooms is particularly bad; the floor and stair railings are sticky, and the smell gets stronger on the way down to the basement. No soap, no paper towels, no toilet paper. And it was still very early in the evening. The floors, the doorframes, everything was dirty and worn. As awful as a train station restroom, I'm afraid to say. Once and never again.

Tuvimos una excelente comida aquí! Ambiente muy agradable tanto en el interior como en el exterior. El personal era muy atento y nos atendió rápidamente. Very good service and food, for a surprisingly fair price. On a Friday evening, you could find a seat without a reservation, and the staff were practically beaming with good humor. The tip is more than deserved.

Der Service war schlecht. Selbst auf Nachfrage nach Besteck etc musste man warten. Man sollte bar bezahlen und Rechnung gab es keine... komisch, oder?

I had a reservation. When we arrived, they made us stand for 15 minutes. Even though we had a table, we were told it didn't matter: if the table was full, it was full. So what's the point of reservations? Waiting 2.5 hours to get pasta???? The salad wasn't washed, and we were served dried-out lemon slices... On top of that, the atmosphere was incredibly unpleasant; it was so loud that we couldn't even communicate with each other at our table.

I ate there last night and I must honestly say, the restaurant itself looks very, very nice. The service was unfortunately very slow and not particularly attentive. We unfortunately had to wait a very long time to place our order. Even glances at the waiters were ignored. When we arrived, they didn't even acknowledge us, which is a real shame. We waited about 10 minutes for a waiter to come over and assign us a table. They just relaxed and chatted with their colleagues instead of attending to customers... The quality of the food was more like a 2 out of 10. I had the spaghetti aglio olio, which was unfortunately a total disappointment. You could taste some kind of vegetable broth, and, well, cherry tomatoes in a real aglio olio? No, not really... The taste was also very, very bad, unfortunately. One thing has to be said, though, the chef was very nice and welcoming. The ambience looks very inviting. 5 stars for that ⭐️. Everything else, however, was more of a flop…

If it weren't located on Clayallee, it would be 5 stars. Great food, top-notch service. It's just that the street location doesn't make for a cozy summer evening.

Wow. What a pizza! For lunch, only €8.90. Simply unbelievably good! Excellent service. Bread and olives were included for free, and refills were served without being asked.

I won't be visiting this restaurant again. The food here used to be solid, and I enjoyed sitting outside. At some point, I suspect the waitstaff changed, and things have gone downhill since then. So steeply that on our last visit, my friend and I both had stomach cramps and diarrhea after our meal (the meat no longer smelled good). That was my last visit. There's no shortage of good Italian restaurants in Berlin, but unfortunately, this one isn't one of them.

It's a beautiful place in old West Berlin, where quality and service are paramount. Very good food, even at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and competent. The service is quick, and the wait for your meal is shortened by a small snack. We Saxons (and the former Wedding resident) will definitely be back.

The staff are wonderful. So welcoming, friendly and very very professional. They're making sure I'm enjoying everything and making sure they act professionaly regarding every detail. I habe so much respect for the staff here, thank you! The food is amazing, excellent taste and not so expensive for that quality, and an appetozer of bread and tasty olives, not a lot of Berlin restaurants are that generous with their appetizers. I don't usually come to this area, but this restaurant will be the reason I fk more often.

May 31, 2025: Two of us sat outside on the terrace and were shown directly to our table, although we didn't have a reservation (we didn't arrive until 9:30 p.m.). The fountain was quietly trickling in the background, making it easy to have a good conversation. The noise level was perfectly acceptable. The servers were all very polite and friendly. We started with fresh baguette and green olives on the house. The food was great! We had saltimbocca alla Romana and lamb fillet with porcini mushrooms and onions. Both dishes came with potatoes and seasonal vegetables (leaf spinach, zucchini, and peppers), according to the menu. A glass of Primitivo red wine and a Limoncello Spritz were also delicious! We finished with a tiramisu, and even though it was already closing time, we got our dessert around 11:30 p.m. After we paid, we were given an Amaretto (or Sambuca, if you prefer) on the house. All in all, a very nice evening with 25 degrees at the end of May :)

I have been visiting this place for about 3 years at least 3 times a month and I would recommend it without hesitation.

Delicious food with good value for money in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the service is all the worse for it. When requesting card payment, even for bills over €50, the bar is sometimes repeatedly pointed out, in a very pushy manner. I've experienced this several times where I'm initially ignored for a long time, and then the drinks are simply placed at the front of the table, leaving the guests to distribute everything themselves. That's fine for a kebab shop, but not for such a large Italian restaurant in Zehlendorf.

The service is very attentive. All four of us found the food to be good to very good. I would recommend reserving a table. We were at the trattoria on a Friday evening, and it was packed.

A wonderful restaurant! We have lived in this area for quite a long time and have something to compare with: good service, delicious food from quality products, normal prices. Children are welcome here - this is not the case everywhere in Germany. I will definitely recommend it to anyone staying in these areas of Berlin. Thank you very much again.

Very tasty pizza, nice service, only the acoustics are a bit loud

Four of us arrived on Saturday lunchtime without a reservation. It was our first visit, and the trattoria was very busy. We got a nice table, had a wonderful meal, and enjoyed first-class service. At the end, we were treated to a delicious dessert on the house and a digestif on top of the fair bill. A very pleasant surprise in the current dining landscape. Thank you for the lovely afternoon.

I met my friends here for dinner today. After half an hour we finally got our drinks, but we couldn't place our food order because the waiter wanted to come back. After we had been sitting there for an hour and the waiter had served the tables next to us several times, we signaled for the waiter to come over so we could finally place our orders. He then came to our table, rolled his eyes and asked annoyed what we would like to order. I was so shocked by his behavior that I didn't even know how to react. The restaurant was very busy, but that doesn't give the waiter the right to take our order with a roll of his eyes and an annoyed tone. It was my first time and certainly the last time I went to this restaurant. I have never experienced anything like this before. Perhaps some staff training would be appropriate. The food was very good.

We love the trattoria! It's always delicious, the pizzas are like wagon wheels, and we often can't finish the pasta portions... The atmosphere and ambiance are super nice, and the servers are all very friendly and authentic! We'd love to go back!

It was simply fantastic there. Everyone had to go the first night and again the next evening. Highly recommended.

Arrived at 5:50 p.m. and was immediately informed that we would like to know how long it would take to prepare the food. We were promised 15-20 minutes. In the end we sat for almost 3 hours until the food came. This isn't directly the fault of the restaurant or a superior, but rather a waiter who shifted the blame around, which is why it takes longer. Instead of taking responsibility and seeing where the food is, only cheap excuses in broken German. Tip: It's generally a great place - but if you get the waiter with a beard and 2mm of hair - run away. The gentleman didn't understand his job and is completely out of place

It was our first time there and you are greeted less and ignored more. A few minutes later a waiter points to a table where you can then sit down. The restaurant is busy and it takes a while for the order to be taken and the food to be delivered. Still within limits. The food is good but not special. Rather average. But the price is totally okay.

We won't be coming back! We waited for almost an hour for the bill to be brought to us, but no one came. The waiter who actually served us just ran around the store stressed and obviously didn't have time for us. The neighboring table had already complained. In the end we had to go get our bill ourselves. The same thing happened with the packaging for the rest of our food: Nobody came, so we took care of it ourselves. Something like that just doesn't work. And unfortunately that wasn't the first time we had a bad evening here. Sometimes you don't get served at all, the staff are completely overwhelmed and just run around the store stressed out. In our opinion, the problem clearly lies with the boss - there are simply not enough staff and everything seems chaotic. You can't blame the waiters themselves - they do what they can, but they just can't keep up. That's a real shame because things used to be completely different. We came often - especially because of the friendly, attentive waiters who made the atmosphere so special. It was fun, it made you feel good. Now these people are no longer there, and unfortunately the good atmosphere has disappeared with them. Another problem is hygiene. When you go downstairs to the toilets, you immediately notice that they aren't cleaned thoroughly - that just fits in with the overall picture and is not what you should expect in a restaurant. This was the last visit for us today. It's really a shame how everything has changed - especially considering that we were regular customers.

Traditional in the best sense Trattoria Toscana offers something that many other establishments now lack: excellent cuisine and, above all, excellent service. M.a.W. It is the way we generally knew Italian gastronomy in the “good old days”, but which is no longer the case all too often today. How can this be achieved? By doing what EVERY restaurateur should do to ensure the business runs well, owner Carmelo is ALWAYS present, has his eagle eyes everywhere, and even intervenes where necessary: ​​e.g. if a guest drops a fork or a pepper mill is missing. This is rewarded by the fact that the trattoria is "buzzing": twice a day - at lunchtime and in the evening - it is packed and not exactly empty in between, which confirms the consistency of my review. But the trattoria's greatest treasure is the service team, who keep the business running silently (and loudly singing serenades at guests' birthday parties) and unobtrusively. With perfect manners – so that as a guest I have the rightful feeling that I am the main welcome point. Just one detail: Faster than I can say "One beer please!" A basket of fresh, oven-warm bread and a plate of olives stand in front of me as a gift from the house and to bridge the waiting time. I have never experienced such a friendly, careful, attentive and always good-humored team, except in one or two starred restaurants! (A really good restaurant also needs a good internal working atmosphere. If this is missing, the guest will notice it in the behavior of the service staff, who usually change frequently, and will not feel comfortable! Or even worse, as is now so often the case, it is a soulless system catering operation where not even the staff knows the owner or owners.) Thank you, Gabriel, Mimmo, Romeo, and all the others! As a guest you will feel like you are in good hands. I've been a regular at your place for a long time. I have zero complaints about this restaurant. They took us with a 2 year old and a newborn without reservations. The food was delicious and everything they walked by with for all the other guests looked delicious. Definitely coming back to this place again!

After a visit to the botanical garden, I looked for and found this Italian. The reviews made us give it a try and we weren't disappointed. My steak was really very good, tasted at the highest level. So there is now another restaurant on the list :-)

La comida estaba bien, nada especial. Elegí un vino Glas of Toscane que probablemente fue uno de los vinos más baratos que me ofrecieron, la segunda copa, un vino siciliano estaba bien. Pero el servicio era simplemente inaceptablemente amable y al final simplemente grosero. Pasamos más de una hora antes de que nos sirvieran el primer plato. Uno de los platos principales, un pescado, estaba seco y por debajo de una calidad aceptable. Los precios eran aceptables. Solíamos visitar con frecuencia este restaurante, incluso invitando a grupos más grandes de amigos. Siempre estábamos satisfechos de ir a comer un bocado rápido. Es el servicio general al que nos oponemos. Evitaremos este restaurante en el futuro. .

We celebrated a birthday here. We really liked the honest, warm manner of the friendly staff. It was authentically Italian there. They say the crew comes from Bologna. The food was authentic and very tasty. I would also like to add that the prices are still affordable, i.e. it was surprisingly affordable. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends. We also plan to eat here more often. We felt very welcome here, well served and friendly. In summary, it was a very successful evening in this beautiful restaurant. I'm very happy, there's really nothing wrong here. Dear restaurant team, please keep it up.

Este restaurante estaba justo al lado de nuestro Airbnb. Necesitábamos carbohidratos, así que esta fue una opción perfecta para nosotros. El servicio fue excelente. Nuestro servidor nos ayudó a tomar nuestras decisiones ya que no hablamos alemán. Toda nuestra comida era deliciosa. El aperitivo era pan, aceite para mojar y aceitunas. Todos conseguimos diferentes platos principales y todos disfrutamos de ellos. La pasta era casera. Teníamos limoncello para después de la cena. Ojalá tuviéramos un restaurante como este en Estados Unidos.

A rather average Italian restaurant. The lasagna was rather average and the spaghetti carbonara was a bit too salty. The pizzas looked good, but we didn't try them. The service was friendly and routine. But we enjoyed the sunshine behind the window in the evening

Ich habe dort nur bestellt und das Essen abgeholt, Bedienung war nett und freundlich. Zum Essen, die Spaghetti sind kaum gesalzen gewesen was den Geschmack etwas fade machte, die Pizza war ok.

The table wasn't set, the plates weren't clean, and we didn't get the white bread with olives that you usually get at the beginning. You had to beg the waiters to even be allowed to order. Unfortunately, they were also very unfriendly. The food was good, and the ambiance is nice, but with this kind of service, I'll never go there again! I ordered by phone. When I went to pay, the first waiter told me I could only pay the person who had served me the food. When I then went to pay them (after waiting 15 minutes), he suddenly said that he wasn't responsible for my bill because I hadn't ordered from him. And he did this in a cheeky tone, as if I were the one asking for money from him, not the other way around!
