Mings Wok in Oberammergau

We ate the spring rolls, crispy duck curry, and kung pow beef. Everything came out perfectly and it was an amazing change of pace from the traditional food around the area.

I was tiring of German food every day (we stayed for a month) and Ming’s was friendly and accommodating. I ordered the rice noodles with veggies and chicken to go, and it was more than I could eat for two meals! Huge plus is that they send their takeout in a container that fits in the tiny hotel fridge. It was delightful to sit and wait for the 15 or so minutes it took to make my meal as the staff likely of family and friends laughed and talked together and their son lit a lovely fire as the weather had cooled. Delicious!

I wouldn't have expected to find a place like this in Oberammergau, and yet... A typical restaurant offering a wide range of oriental dishes. I appreciated the fact that they offered not only Chinese dishes but also dishes from neighboring countries. The taste is always the same, the service is quite fast, and the prices are average for the area. I would only return if I were staying for several days and wanted to vary the taste of my dinner.

The best restaurant in Oberammergau Fast, fresh, and delicious!

We took food to go (with us), since it was Sunday, and at 20:15 the kitchen in all restaurants was closed. We were lucky that we were able to order food here!!! We waited only 10 minutes. Rice noodles with vegetables and chicken + rice with chicken and vegetables - exceeded our expectations!!! Very tasty, vegetables are varied (5 or 6 vegetables) the chicken is delicious, the portion is huge!!! My husband barely finished it, and I left most of the dinner for the next day :) Thank you very much for not letting us die of hunger on Sunday evening! :) We recommend. And we will come back to sit in the cafe next time.

It's a very quiet place (I love it that way). The food is good, for being up here in the mountains it's more a taste of home. I recommend you try it out!

We had lunch there today and the food tasted really delicious. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, the toilet is behind a room divider and a very narrow entrance area, making it almost impossible for strong people to go to the toilet. Ambiance is a mix of Christmas and Chinese flair. We were there on March 20, 25!

The food was amazing! We stayed in the village for 6 days and ate here 3 days! The duck was absolutely delicious and the portion size was huge - we took food away each night! The staff were helpful and happy to accommodate food requests. Highly recommend.

So I didn't like it, I had fried noodles with duck, which should be fine with any Asian, but the duck was really dry and rock hard from being fried. The noodles were OK but absolutely not a highlight. The shop is shabby both inside and out and more than shabby. Unfortunately it is not recommended!

Nice people, great food - everything was very tasty, fresh and plentiful. You can even watch how everything is prepared. Really great and definitely 5 stars!

This very nice Chinese restaurant serves excellent food, especially the duck dishes. The Siamente in particular tastes excellent! The chef is really very good! The service is excellent, quick, and the dishes and drinks are very inexpensive. We can only strongly recommend the restaurant! We'll be back shortly.

Very practical if you don't feel like cooking, or if you haven't bought anything but all the restaurants are full/reserved... Gladly again. The dishes could sometimes use a bit of spice.

Never eaten anything so bad. It's better to raise prices and cook fresh instead of something like that. But I could have imagined being totally disappointed given the prices.

Unfortunately, the food was just ok, poor quality goods and German vegetables, I don't have to go to the Chinese restaurant for that! The service was rather unfriendly and the food took forever because street sales are probably going on, I don't know that at all. If you like the ambience that much, OK, but it's not mine at all. It looks very untidy with cleaning supplies in the dining area and also a bit dirty for me Taste...Really not recommended!!!

Checked in and out at Ming's Wok over the last 15 years. Nothing has changed, the chef and staff are friendly but the food is mediocre to say the least. Been traveling through Asia the last 27 years, so I'm biased when it comes to "authentic" Asian food. If you are happy with the average European/Asian Cuisine then you are Okay. But be warned, don't have high expectations.

Authentic Chinese food cooked by an actual Chinese chef. Great food for a great price. They’re one of few restaurants that still serve Cantonese-style dishes in the area. The chef only speaks Mandarin but we were able to communicate. The dining area is small but cosy. Definitely recommend.

Fresh, delicious, authentic Asian cuisine. Be sure to try the homemade pasta! Very friendly service. A highlight of Oberammergau.

Sehr gutes Essen vor allem für den Preis. Es schmeckt gut und ist eine sehr gute Portion. Aufgewärmt schmeckt das Essen genau so wie am Tag davor. Essen ist schnell zubereitet.

The food is not the best, we order 2 dishes and the sauce was literally water, didn't have any coconut test, the duck was ok, just ok. I will.not recommend this restaurant at all.

Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich, die Bedienung "fernöstlich" und der Gastraum gewöhnungsbedürftig, kalt, dunkel und lieblos eingerichtet. Die Toiletten alt und abgenutzt und sauber.

This was the first time I had been to Ming's Wok despite having been in Oberammergau on four other occasions and I was not dissappointed by the food. It was excellent value for money. Had a starter and main. The main was a generous portion and I could not finish nor could my colleagues. The only drawback is they only take cash.

Das Essen war reichlich für den Preis geschmacklich war es in Ordnung, der Geschmack war aber nichts besonderes und die WanTan Taschen waren naja. An sich war es gut, Portionen waren für den Preis ziemlich reichlich wie schon gesagt, man wird mehr als satt und das wars dann auch schon so ziemlich

Ambiente unangenehm, Service langsam, das Essen war ein Missverständnis, da nicht wirklich gekocht (rohes Gemüse in der warmen Sauce) und gar keine Gewürze drauf. Null. Sehr enttäuschend.

Das Essen ist wirklich gut wirklich sehr gut aber ich habe offensichtlich einen schlechten Tag erwischt dann er hat uns zum Italiener um die Ecke geschickt er hatte offensichtlich keine Lust zum Kochen er meinte der wäre billiger aber wie gesagt kochen kann er gut wenn er jetzt dann auch noch die Motivation und Lust hat gibt es auch 5 Sterne von mir

Essen ist sehr lecker aber das war’s auch schon, leckeres Essen kann meine Frau auch machen ;) Sehr inkompetente Inhaber die oft nicht pünktlich öffnen und leider schon zu oft patzig waren, es ist nicht möglich mit Karte zu bezahlen! Manchmal kommt es mir so vor, als ob sie genug Geld haben und ihnen der Kunde egal ist :D Ich wurde nun einfach zu oft enttäuscht, kann ich NICHT empfehlen, nur im Notfall, da es in Oberammergau nicht viel Ausweichmöglichkeit für Chinesische Küche gibt. (Elpuente ist top/ Lamontanara ist in Ordnung)

Grausam, nichts besonderes und sehr wässrig. Sosse überdeckt alles und Soja war dominat. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Klasse kleines Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen. Portionen sind sehr groß und vielfältig. Frühlingsrollen waren genial und selbst gemacht, nicht wie üblich TK. Bedienung war sehr freundlich und nett. Wenn man zuhause essen möchte gibt es auch einen kleinen Schalter für To Go

Lecker essen, aber die Öffnungszeiten stimmen nicht. Ankunft 14h und 14.30h sollte geschlossen werden. War aber schon länger zu.
