SPECTACULAR!!!! The food was delicious and the portions were more than generous. Excellent service (Moreno and his team of Luises). Super friendly and never complained. We arrived when the restaurant was packed and they served all our food in no time, even though there were 10 of us. In short, the best restaurant in the entire Black Forest. I would definitely go back.

The food was good. The waiter could have been a bit friendlier. Only downside: it wasn't very warm in the restaurant.

Sad to have to write a negative review. Unfortunately, this experience was truly disappointing. The restaurant charged a €5 service fee without mentioning it anywhere on the menu or informing us in advance. For simply serving four drinks at the table, we were unexpectedly billed an additional €5. What hurt most was not the amount, but the lack of transparency. Hidden service charges leave a very unpleasant feeling and take away from what could have been an enjoyable visit. Sadly, because of this experience, I would not recommend this place to others.

Delicious pizza with friendly service. The owner offered us a table. The price-performance ratio is really excellent. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one point because the pizza was served incorrectly (a special request), even though the server had written it down. Also, the server repeatedly ignored us. We sat there for at least 15 minutes without drinks. We would have liked to have more to drink, but then asked for the bill. A real shame.

We (three people) went there for dinner on December 12, 2025. Since the ground floor was busy, we figured it couldn't be bad. It looked very inviting, but I had a strange feeling as soon as we entered the second floor. The waiter said to us (his mumbled Italian was barely audible): "See for yourself if there's anything free upstairs." As soon as we sat down at an empty table, my companion and I immediately noticed the rusty and clogged salt and pepper shakers. The waiters spoke almost no German. They tried to explain things when we ordered, but it was completely useless (we wanted some cherry tomatoes with one of the dishes). The drinks arrived relatively quickly, but the food was a long time coming. After what felt like an eternity (over an hour, and our drinks were already gone), which was understandable given how busy the tables were, two dishes were finally served. The third dish was still nowhere to be seen. My pasta (ricotta ravioli in sage butter) was ice cold and carelessly arranged on the plate in a mass of warm, tasteless tomato sauce that we hadn't ordered. My son's spaghetti Napoli was cold (also awful). We politely asked for both dishes to be reheated, but unfortunately, that didn't really work. The spaghetti was then okay, but my ravioli were still cold. They only reheated the sauce and dumped both dishes together on a new plate (that's the best way to describe it). Then my order was taken again, and after another twenty minutes or so, I finally received it. Unfortunately, it was still without cherry tomatoes, but also without the tomato sauce. 🙏🏼 The third person still hadn't received their food and kept being put off. By this time, my son and I had finished our meal when a waiter went to the next table instead of ours with the ordered spaghetti carbonara (and two other dishes). 😳 After exchanging several glances with the guests next to and behind us, and with the waiters, the spaghetti carbonara was taken away from the guest who had already stirred it several times with a fork and served to my companion. Which is completely unacceptable. There was widespread astonishment. Two couples who had also been waiting for their drinks and food for quite some time got up and left without a word. We were then only billed for the drinks and the two dishes… Whether this was intentional or not, we didn't know. But I didn't care; I paid and we left. We will not be going back to this place (it certainly can't be called a restaurant). P.S. The toilet seat in the men's room was missing, only the lid. In the women's "restroom," there were cobwebs all the way down to the toilet seat.

We have visited the restoraunt today and was absolutely amazed the cosy warm atmosphere and very qualified service. Good and friendly staff, delicious food and especial authentic space. Thanks a lot for the nice and warm evening! Good luck 👍 Inna and Lena

We spontaneously decided to have lunch here today. I ordered steak strips with vegetables. The steak strips were half-raw, not cooked through at all, tough, and sinewy. The arugula and tomatoes they were sitting on seemed unwashed; two small black beetles crawled out of them. I left almost everything, and the waiter didn't even ask if the food was okay. And the small amount, the two bites I did manage to eat, are still sitting heavily in my stomach—at 11 p.m. My friend's meal (tortellini with quark) looked delicious. It's a shame I made such an unfortunate choice today. It was disgusting.

It's not bad, but they're clueless, they've made mistakes in their orders on several occasions. If I'm being honest, I'd take the pizzas off the menu or improve them a lot.

A nice restaurant with very good food. The Ambiente was rather noisy but I loved the interior design of the place and the staff was pretty fast and friendly. The toilets were also very clean and not bad located, you could find them easily. Would recommend.

Good menu, fresh ingredients. Very reasonably priced considering the location. The portions were larger than we expected. I had grilled salmon (there were 2 salmon steaks). Perfectly cooked. The service was excellent! We came back to have coffee and desserts later. Atmosphere was pleasant too.

I come here several times. The food is excellent. The pizzas are the most delicious. The service is very friendly and nice. The atmosphere and the decorations are very nice. With every order, you get a rose. They were so nice that I asked for one, and they accepted.

We found this place by chance. The quality is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. We definitely recommend it. It's a shame we were only in Freiburg for one day, because we tried the pizzas but were left wanting more pasta. Besides the price, we thought it was very good, costing about €15 per person.

We felt at home. An Italian restaurant in the center of Freiburg. The staff speaks Italian as well as German. Very kind and welcoming. We had pizza, and it was worth it: good dough and lots of fresh toppings. Very generous portions. We also managed to get an espresso. Excellent price and quality. Clean place. Being in the center, there's no way to drive in or park.

They put cream on the ice cream without asking and then charged me - very cheeky!

We arrived at 11:30 pm and were served by an excellent team. Closing at midnight. They speak fluent Italian, which made it easier for us to communicate, as German is not our strong point 😅. They were wonderful to us, there is a very good chance that we will return to this restaurant if we pass by again! We will try to come a little earlier 😊. And my burrata was excellent ❤️❤️ !!

Disgusting! The seafood pizza came out of a can, nothing fresh. When I asked for a pizza capricciosa, I received an unfriendly and incomprehensible response. The staff is arrogant, orders are taken incorrectly, and the food arrives very late. There are a lot of flies in the restaurant. When the food arrived, it was simply placed carelessly on the table without even a "Bon appétit." An extremely unpleasant experience – absolutely not recommended!

We visited Pizzeria Ristorante Milano in Freiburg im Breisgau and, overall, the experience was quite acceptable. We ordered several pizzas, each one tasting decent, with a quality commensurate with the price we paid. The dough was well-made and the ingredients were fresh, making the pizzas enjoyable and satisfying for a casual meal. The staff was courteous and attentive, maintaining adequate service throughout the meal. There were no issues with the service in that regard, which was appreciated. However, there was one major inconvenience that really affected our evening: we were surrounded by flies throughout the meal. I counted up to 25 flies on my Milano duck dish, and despite noting this to the waiters, no one was able to offer us a change of table or any other solution to avoid the nuisance. This made the experience uncomfortable and somewhat unpleasant, as it was difficult to enjoy the meal in that environment. It's a shame because the place has potential and the food is good, but this fly problem shouldn't happen, especially in a restaurant that wants to present itself as a well-maintained and professional establishment. I hope they can improve this aspect so that the customer experience is completely positive.

The place is not good, pizzas are below average. Pasta were decent enough, servers are rude and charge extra for plates and making pasta saucy. Server doesn’t understand English. Hospitality is not up to the mark.

Never coming back here. Really bad service. We asked the server about the vegetarian options in pizzas and they ended up getting us ALL the options. Five pizzas when we ordered three. On top of that, when we told them there seems to be a confusion, the man refused to take responsibility. We asked them to not make the pastas dry and they charged us extra under “sauce” when there was absolutely no sauce in the pasta we ordered. After all this, the server asked us for a 10% service tip which we did pay even though we were extremely unhappy with the entire experience.

Good pizzeria in Freiburg's city center. This restaurant has been a part of Freiburg's cityscape for decades. You always get a table and always a smile. Very friendly staff, good service, and delicious food. All portions are very generous! The Italian wine is particularly good. Highly recommended.

We were there with a group of 14 people and received prompt, friendly, and attentive service. The various dishes we ordered were delicious and arrived quickly. We'd be happy to come back!

The Hawaiian pizza was mostly cheese and tasted poor. No oil, bread, or other condiments; just a subpar pizza. €12.50 is too much for this quality; €7-8 would have been more appropriate. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. 2 stars for the relatively fast service.

I paid the bill without looking, when I got home I noticed that on the receipt two very normal 0.5 litre natural waters were charged 11 euros!!! I paid 11 euros per litre of common water!!! I have never seen anything like it, not even in the very expensive Switzerland, absolutely shameful!!!

Simple but good Italian cuisine. Food comes quickly.

The food was OK. I didn't think the service was good; the waiter didn't understand most of what was being said and spoke Italian every other word. Since we don't understand Italian, it was very tedious. Finally, we ordered the bill and had to wait almost 30 minutes for it, which was pretty annoying. I had to ask the waiter three times to pay, and then he got angry because I asked him for the bill three times. I should have been angry. Italian food doesn't work in this restaurant. I've seen much, much better, and Italian behavior from a waiter doesn't work in this restaurant either.

The pizza is okay, but it could be better. You can eat here until you're full.

The pizzas are inexpensive and delicious. However, they give you very blunt knives! :-D It's very tedious to cut the pizzas. The food comes to the table very quickly after ordering. Unfortunately, the service doesn't speak German very well :-(

We come almost every Friday, and the servers are friendly, even though we're really not that easy to care for 😉 The food is usually good, and the ice cream is the best in town! In the summer, it's a wonderful place to sit outside and chat. 100% recommend it!

Spaghetti with a bit of egg and some kind of bacon, unfortunately, I couldn't define. People, tourist rip-off at its finest.

There was a rubber band in the salad (without sauce), Pizza Hawai came without tomato sauce and the Quattro Stagione had leftover squid instead of artichokes. Stomach pains followed, even though we only ate half of it!

I can't comment on the food, but the decor/ambience is pretty awful. I find the price for still water outrageous: 5.50 euros... the service isn't particularly friendly either. I would avoid the place.

The food is always very good. It has become our regular place. The service was very friendly and accommodating. When you walk in almost as a regular you are greeted almost as a member of the family. We love this pizzeria because of the food and the hospitality of the entire staff.

I ordered Carolina pizza and asked them to remove the salami. They forgot, but then they took the pizza, made it again and brought it back. We ate margaritas and carolina pizza. The pizzas were very good and the portions of the pizzas were quite big. Same price as Turkey. I definitely recommend it, you won't regret it :)

Hello dear people, Today we visited this Italian restaurant! Guests were still having dinner at 8:30 p.m. The restaurant was moderately busy, but the interior was well heated on 2/19/25 and the ambience appeared pleasant. Scalopina with eggplant 🍆 and cheese covered with spaghetti and rosemary potatoes with tomato sauce was ordered for €17.50! The food was served promptly and it was cold 🥶 and almost tasteless. Despite requests for improvement, no positive result was achieved. Nothing was done to compensate. While other guests waited for service and we waited for the bill, the waiters in the dining room indulged in a pizza. So if you ask me how Italian cuisine works, definitely not like that. It was the worst meal I've had in years and I personally have been cooking with love and heart for many years! And Italian too!! Sorry, that could be better 😉

Very appealing, honest cuisine with a large selection of tasty dishes that I am happy to recommend. Unfortunately, the service during our visits is very dependent on the person in charge. The location in Freiburg's old town (pedestrian zone) is ideal.

Very atmospheric ambience. Super friendly and attentive staff. Pizza was delicious, could have used a few more minutes in the oven. My companion was not satisfied. Too much edge on the pizza. My husband and I had the same pizza with different toppings. When asked, that was ok.

Nice restaurant but as soon as we had the menu we were asked for our order we are French we speak neither Italian nor German we didn't have time to really choose!!! And after clearing out we waited 1/2!! The server can be friendly and not very understandable

Long wait until we could order. Pizza specifically ordered without mozzarella cheese - but it came with it. Pointed out a 3rd time, pizza was “remade” - again came with mozzarella. All pizzas ordered were not baked through. Called attention to drink orders several times. All in all: I won't come back again
