A very cozy, wonderful, charming restaurant! Service is courteous and has everything in view. The pizza was large, but delicious. I assume that there is a stone oven in which the pizzas are baked. The taste was incomparable. We would like to come back when we are nearby to try the other dishes.

Food was wonderful, service was super friendly and quick. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the price was very fair and not too expensive.

Based on the menu on the homepage, we reserved a table for five people. What a disappointment when the menu came and there was no more of the wonderful fish and meat dishes to be found. Just pizza and pasta and a few salads. Since we had two gluten-allergic people with us, we left again.

This was our second time at Antica and we were all very satisfied. The pizzas are great, high quality. The pasta dishes were also very tasty and looked appealing when served. The portions are TOP and the price-performance ratio is really fair. In just under 50 minutes we had a starter, main course and dessert, which we thought was great. The service was very attentive and extremely quick. We'd love to come back when we're in the area.

Don’t come here if you’re not local! We’re American and the other German/Italian tables got bread and salad starters whilst we got nothing and our service took forever. Felt vaugely disrespected.. but the food was delicious so maybe order online or something.

Great ambience, attentive service and really delicious food. Just like you know Italian cuisine from Italy. Spaghetti Carbonara with a creamy cream sauce, fine strips of bacon and a touch of garlic aroma. We recommend!

The pizza dough was burnt, so I mostly only ate the toppings. When the cellar asked if everything was OK, I mentioned the burnt dough, which was also visible on my plate. The waiter didn't respond at all and basically ignored my complaint. I can't recommend the pizzeria. For a price of EUR 14.50 I would have expected a more tasty pizza without burnt dough.

This is a local restaurant recommended by a native local. 😃 The pizza was chewy and delicious, as if it had been made in a wood-fired oven. 😆 Personally, I recommend the pizza topped with jamon and prosciutto. It was really delicious, but it wasn't on the menu and I had to order it as an additional topping on some pizzas, so I showed them the picture and ordered it. I hope this review provides a ray of hope for Koreans looking for good restaurants in Freiburg. 😃

On my recent visit to Antica, a charming Italian eatery near the main train station, I experienced a pleasant atmosphere, enhanced by the warm, if sometimes distracted, staff. The restaurant's interior creates an inviting ambience that invites you to linger. The food – pizza and pasta – reaches a solid level that meets the expectations of a good Italian restaurant. The pizza impresses with its authentic taste, while the pasta is cooked perfectly al dente, but the sauce could use a little more spice to really stand out. In terms of price-performance, the Antica is positioned within a fair range, which definitely justifies another visit. For a cozy evening with Italian flair, Antica is certainly worth considering, even if the culinary experience still has room for improvement.

Really good food. Pizza huge and plenty of toppings. Ordered steak rare and got it exactly that way. Bruschetta starter was also very tasty. Very attentive service.

I have lived in Freiburg for 40 years and have walked/drove past this restaurant 5000 times...... Why did it take me so long to eat here🙈. What can I say?!?!?!? The pasta gorgonzola was to die for!!!!! The portion was absolutely perfect in size, inhaled straight away and I was very sad when I realized that I had already devoured the last forkful. The next visit is certain 😊🤝

A place where you can have a good dinner. The service is very friendly, the pasta aglio et olio was unusual for me, with cherry tomatoes but also very tasty and with a pleasant spiciness. The Chianti was good too. I'll be back.

Pasta and pizza just taste completely average, salami and ham on the pizza is not of good quality as you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Pasta slightly overcooked and tasteless, had Bolognese.

4 stars for food mainly. Pizza was delicious and probably the best in Freiburg. My only complaint would be the waiter as they were aggressive when they saw we left a bottle of water on the table, but did not have a problem with the table next to us having two dogs (one huge and one tiny and locked in a bag). Dog kept barking in the bag and the large dog got too close to us multiple times and overall was disturbing. Surprised this is allowed in a restaurant like this.

The food was okay, actually really good for the city center and the price. Service was slow - which can happen on a Saturday evening. But Pils in a wheat glass... that's not possible. Overall everything was OK. but you don't have to come back.

I give this 4 stars because of the nice service. However, this restaurant gives more of the impression of a fast food restaurant. The food was tasty, but the noodles looked like they came from the supermarket Oven baked, no homemade pasta, these are definitely purchased products. The carpaccio was swimming in oil and I was missing a few pine nuts. Otherwise it tasted good, the price was okay, but really nothing special, a photo of the food follows, Google doesn't want to load that ;)

Wir hatten unser Hotel direkt neben dem Restaurant Antica. Schon am ersten Tag hat uns das Restaurant mit seinem rustikalen Stiel angelockt, es war sehr gut besucht und weil der Weihnachtsmarkt lockte, beschlossen wir am nächsten Tag dort zu essen. Auch an diesem Tag war das Restaurant gut besucht was uns jedoch nicht störte. Wir mussten nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Die Bruschetta waren saftig, Knackig und perfekt gewürzt. Wir hatten einen sehr leckeren Hauptgang ( Penne arrabiata und Tagliatelle mit Steinpilz) einen Guten Wein und Andrea war sehr freundlich beim Bedienen. Ein Restaurant zum empfehlen.

Ein wunderschönes warmes Ambiente begrüßte uns als wir vom Regen uns hierher flüchteten. Ein schneller Blick auf die Teller der Gäste und es war klar: wir müssen Pizza bestellen. Die Pizza war wirklich perfekt, wir haben nichts auszusetzen. Der Service war auch super Eine große Empfehlung!

Hammer gute Pizza (hatte Pizza Diavola und kann nur für die sprechen), würde fast sagen wollen die beste der Stadt, gemütliche Atmosphäre durch das alte Holz. Sogar Montagabend sehr voll, aber damit auch gemütlich und lebhaft.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort und wir hatten sehr viel erwartet aufgrund der guten Bewertung und der Lage. Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen war nicht gut, zu viel und ohne Geschmack. Wir hatten beide Pasta bestellt, vielleicht die Pizza ist besser. Die Bedienung war aber sehr freundlich und nett.

Guide Michelin Restaurant-Tester? Hoffentlich kommt der nicht hierher! Fangen wir mal mit dem Positiven an: die Pizza war schmackhaft und der Boden knusprig.... aber der Schinken und die Salami waren in meinen Augen nur unterdurchschnittliche METRO-Ware. Wo euch "Gastwirte" aber jeder Restaurant-Tester zerrissen hätte, war der Etikettenschwindel mit dem Olivenöl. Da wird dem Gast das hochwertige L'Extra Olivenöl suggeriert, aber das Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum wurde so clever doppelseitig abgeklebt, dass es nicht von der Flasche zu entfernen war. Das heisst, die Flasche wurde schon unzählige Male neu befüllt - mit welchem Öl auch immer!!! Aber der Ausfüllstutzen - welcher wirklich in einem erbärmlichen Zustand war, zeigt die Kundenverarschung in seinem ganzen Ausmaß! Siehe Fotos! 🤢

Essen war in Ordnung. Nur die Kellner hoffnungslos Überfordert! Lange Wartezeit bei Essen und Trinken. Erstes Getränk kurz vor dem Hauptgang. Ambiente ok. Preise dafür relativ hoch.

Als Vorspeise hatte ich mir einen Meeresfrüchtesalat bestellt. Eigentlich ist dies eine meiner Leibspeises, aber bei diese Qualität musste ich das Gericht nach sätestens der Hälfte zurück gehen lassen. Der Meeresfrüchte Salat war die billigste Variante eines Fertigproduktes und wurde in der Küche nur noch mit Paprika und Gurken vermischt. Als Hauptgericht hatte ich Tagliatelle mit Steinpilzen. Dass die Steinpilze nicht frich waren war mir klar, doch auch gefrorene Steinpilze kann man geschmackvoll zubereiten. Dies ist im Koch leider in keiner Hinsicht gelungen, ein Teil schmeckte muffig der andere Teil war matschig und wiederum andere Teile waren so zäh, dass man sie kaum kauen konnte. Dass das Restaurant trotzdem recht gut besucht war hat mich in der Tat gewundert. Ich würde jedem davon abraten dort essen zu gehen.

Super Essen, Super Bedienung, Sehr zu Empfehlen! Die Pizza hat mir sehr imponiert, Die Nudeln waren Perfekt Aldente, jedoch leider eine etwas Schmächtige Portion. Nachtisch war das Tiramisu, welches ebenfalls löblich geschmeckt hat.

Einfacher und rustikaler Italiener, einen Katzensprung vom Bahnhof entfernt. Wir waren während unseres Kurzurlaubs in Freiburg gleich zwei Mal dort. Vor dem Laden gibt es auch einige Tische um draußen zu sitzen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und flott auf den Beinen. Das Restaurant ist rustikal und locker gehalten. Wir haben sowohl die Pizza, als auch Pasta probiert und waren absolut zufrieden. Vorweg gab es eine leckere Bruschetta. Sehr faire Preise für Getränke und Speisen.

My wife and I stopped in here for dinner on a drizzly Freiburg evening. Casanova, in an old building not far from the Freiburg Hauptbahnhof, was a genuine surprise. We had a mixed seafood grill for two, pared with wine, and it was probably the best mixed seafood grill we have had at an Italian restaurant anywhere. Service was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. Eisenbahnstrasse is kind of a side street, so you will have to search the restaurant out, but it is well worth the search.

La visita a este restaurante hubiese sido muy grata si no fuera por la poca amabilidad de su empleada en la barra. La persona encargada del servicio de mesa genial, eficiente y agradable, pero su companiera no podía ser más seca, una sonrisa de bienvenida y contestar bien a lo que le preguntan hubiese estado genial. Por lo demás bien, la comida muy rica aunque nada especial y el lugar pues no muy lejos del centro y con una acogedora terraza.

Das positive ist die freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Die Lammkoteletts waren trocken und etwas zäh, die Saltimbocca speziell (mit Käse überbacken?) und die Pizza nicht sehr speziell. Die Teigwaren auf dem Nachbartisch sahen dagegen sehr gut aus (al dente) Zum Glück hatten wir alle Hunger! Wir werden das Lokal kaum mehr aufsuchen 😐

Went here for dinner with my wife. Liked the atmosphere and service. My wife’s veggie lasagne was OK but a bit overcooked. I had to return my pasta with meat sauce al forno, it was exceptionally salty. I was provided with the same dish again but it was still inedible and I left it after 2 spoonfuls. I would have been happier if I could have chosen a different replacement dish. The panna cotta was rubbery and tasteless. Will not return on our next trip to Freiburg.

Etwas abseits vom Weihnachtsmarkttrubel fand ich dieses nette Restaurant. Das ansprechende Äußere des Restaurants wurde direkt durch den sehr netten und italienisch lockeren Empfang bestätigt. Die Innenausstattung ist eine interessante Mischung aus Italienisch und Badisch. Nun zum Essen: Der Insalata mista war wie bei jedem Italiener (sollte jemand was Gegenteiliges kennen, bitte Adresse mitteilen) im Essig ertränkt und daher zu sauer. Der Hauptgang überzeugte durch die Beilage. Das Frutti Di Mare Risotto war perfekt. Leider war der Hauptteil, das Schwertfischsteak, staubtrocken. Trocken war auch die weiße Weinbegleitung. Aber so wurde sie bestellt und bekommt daher ebenfalls eine gute Bewertung.

Hallo zusammen. Zu meinem Geburtstag waren wir in Freiburg und haben uns entschieden ohne Reservierung in die Stadt zu gehen. So mussten wir aufgrund eines überfüllten anderen Lokals umdisponieren und sind hier gelandet. Die Inneneinrichtung und die freundliche Crew führen zur Punktevergabe. Auch die Getränke waren gut (incl. Hauswein weiß (Chardonnay)). Zum Essen gibt es leider von unserer Seite keine gute Bewertung. Penne 4 formaggi waren leider recht Maggi-lastig. Piccata milanese waren in meinem Fall 2 kleinere ganz normal panierte und frittierte Schweineschnitzel (kein Parmesan in der Pannade). Die Spaghetti dazu wurden in einer Tomatensoße gereicht, die recht schmackhaft, aber auch ölhaltig war. Wenn ich die Bewertungen richtig verstehe, gibt es wohl gute Pizzen. Die Fischgerichte, die an einen anderen Tisch gebracht wurden, sahen auch sehr gut aus. Fazit für uns: vielleicht, um Pizza zu essen. Preis wäre für das Bestellte in Ordnung gewesen.

We spent two evenings here for coffee followed by dinner. The Italian speaking waiter was a hoot, and made us feel at home both times. We loved the taglierini in meat sauce so much that we had it two nights in a row. Looking forward to sampling some other dishes when in town next.
