For us the best pizzas in Freiburg, of which there is a nice selection. The starter with beetroot carpaccio, sheep's cheese, mozzarella, nuts and mustard vinaigrette was very tasty and a good start. Reservations are definitely an advantage! Always a pleasure to be a guest at La Cigogna!

Good value for money. I found the staff lacking in courtesy, not even a thank you after payment. Staff must consider customers better.

Despite the restaurant being almost full, we girls received a very warm welcome and hospitality this Saturday evening. The delicious food and the fabulous service were a successful end to our weekend trip to Freiburg. Ciao, grazie mille...alla prossima volta.

We went here spontaneously for dinner yesterday. Shortly after 6 it wasn't a problem to get a place for two. After that it filled up. We had a mixed starter platter and two different pastas, one tagliatelle with pike-perch, one spaghetti with pumpkin-feta sauce, all very tasty. Recommended.

We stopped by the restaurant spontaneously and were surprised by the beautiful atmosphere and the friendly atmosphere n atmosphere. We had a Mageritha pizza with basil, and a pizza with ham, tuna, mushrooms and sheep's cheese, plus 2 Wheat beer. All I can say is it was sufficient and very tasty 😋.

Main courses were tasty (cocktail and dessert not so much). The service was good. It was however, very hot and no AC or ventilation of any kind. There is no kids menu .

Had dinner there yesterday evening. All the dishes were impeccable. Delicious wine and the Fernet Branca was served according to our wishes. The waiter, Christos, greeted every guest with a smile and is friendliness personified. A treasure! We really, really enjoyed the evening!

Why go anywhere else when the good is so close. We experienced super friendly service and were greeted with a big smile. The food came to the table promptly, without a long wait. You have the processes under control. The food was perfectly prepared and tasted excellent. The white wine was cold. The portions - good for the hungry guest - too big. Our waiter Christos was great. The only thing that could have topped the perfect experience would be if he had given me his phone number for a next meeting 🤪 absolute recommendation!

Very nice place to have a date or just a great time with somebody. Food is very delicious and I would recommend to take some pastas with tuna. Also, the location is quiet and adds to general atmosphere.

We had dinner there on August 2nd, 2024. It's rare to have such friendly, courteous staff and that didn't just apply to the waiter who served us. Due to the temperatures, everything outside was already occupied, but since it was supposed to rain later, we decided that we would prefer a seat in the restaurant. We found a bright, tastefully furnished restaurant with pleasant temperatures thanks to the open windows. The bruschetta is second to none and the pizza and pasta with salmon were also very tasty and the portion sizes were more than sufficient. This amount of salmon with pasta is not a given in every restaurant. Other dishes such as spaghetti bolognese also looked very appetizing. It was an all-round successful evening in a pleasant atmosphere. That's why we ended the evening there with an aperitif. All in all highly recommended.

By chance we ended up at Storchen La Cicogna. No regrets. Authentic pizzas with an excellent base, excellent ice cream sundaes and an award-winning enoteka. Recommended! Great Italian food in a more remote part of the Freiburg city center. The Storchen La Cicogna surprised us with great pizzas, so: all good. Please note that they are a great ice bar and award winning winery / enoteka as well! Recommended!

We have been guests at the Storchen several times, but today we were very disappointed. We were seated in front of a glass shelf and opposite the counter/food serving area. Since you needed the glasses from it, you had to duck every time. You should really think about whether you should use this table or whether you can perhaps find another place for the glasses that would be happier. The food was okay, but unfortunately not outstanding or special. For a €16 pizza with crab and garlic we expected more. We didn't taste any garlic, the crabs were unfortunately of poor quality and there was absolutely nothing green/fresh on the pizza. Pizza tuna was okay, also the bruschetta and the spaghetti napoli. If you offer a drink with vermuth and tonic with an orange wedge, then you as a guest should also find the orange and not be blessed with a slice of lemon, which doesn't go well with a rose vermuth at all. Or you talk to the guest and explain that the oranges are out ;). Unfortunately, my dress was stained with salad dressing when the service was clearing it away. That can happen, that's why people are at work. But what bothered us was that they didn't offer cleaning of the dress or a small drink, an espresso or something similar on the house. That would have been a gesture that we would have greatly appreciated. And it's just one of the services and doesn't cost that much for the owner. Today we had the feeling we weren't welcome. A pity!

Great Italian restaurant with big choice of tasty dishes.

Very unpleasant waiter. Gets annoyed because we hesitate for a second following one of his questions. Gets annoyed again because he doesn't understand my daughter's response in English even though she is almost bilingual. A change of career is necessary!

Pizza was overbaked, very greasy, had cheap looking and tasting cheese and salami. Pizza we were served looked alot like the frozen dr. Oetker pizza. The ravioli were overcooked aswell. When we told the waiter that the pizza wasn’t to our liking and that it looked nothing like the traditional italian pizza he responded sarcastically with: “Then go to Italy!!!” Since it says that they’re offering italian cuisine they should consider being better at it. Totally great and delicious restaurant

I advise everyone not to order a salad. A side salad is also not recommended. The salad dressing is extremely bad. The other food was mediocre.

I visited this restaurant today on a Thursday around 6pm. The weather cooperated, so I was lucky enough to get a spot on the terrace. It was cozy and it was getting more and more crowded... I decided on a pizza, that was the right choice. In my opinion one of the best pizzas recently. The service was very friendly and attentive. If I lived in Freiburg, this could be one of my favorite places ☺

Very tasty Italian. We recommend the beetroot carpaggio as a starter, the pizzas and pasta dishes are very good. I had the pike perch on tagliatelle...mmh! For dessert, a tiramusu or panna cotta and not forgetting a good coffee. We will be back.

Very nice ambience - a place with a lot of atmosphere. The service is extremely friendly and attentive, the cuisine is sophisticated and very tasty. We recommend!

They make a difference in treatment between Germans and foreigners. So we were looked down upon because we were not Germans.

The lasagne was too “mushy” for me. The Italian flavor was missing in terms of taste. There is still room for improvement.

We were in the pizzeria around lunchtime and had free choice of seating. Little by little the places became more and more occupied. We received friendly service and were able to order quickly. The pizza came quickly and was very tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and the location is great. From the terrace you have a beautiful view.

We've been coming back for some time now so it was on our shortlist, so far we've been very happy and always felt comfortable. But last night we played a round of cards, we were very quiet and didn't cause any attention. An older gentleman who was part of the service staff told us it was forbidden and that he didn't have a license for it. He was visibly annoyed and he spoke in that tone! My wife tried to make it funny and point out to him that the law doesn't prohibit it, that she is studying law and knows it. Whereupon he just spoke to her disrespectfully and it turned out that this gentleman is the owner of the restaurant... the behavior was not professional and we won't be coming anymore!

I love the Italian cuisine offered there, I particularly recommend the seasonal risottos, the various carpaccios, but also all the salads! Good value for money with pleasant, attentive service.

A friend introcuded me to this restaurant and it is one of my favourite places in Freiburg. If you haven't had "lachslasagnia" (salmonlasagne) here have you truly lived? All jokes aside please order it. The burschetta is really nice too. Service is friendly and good. Only thing that this place could better on is the desert menu.

This cozy restaurant was a delight. The service was very friendly and the menu extensive. I even asked for my favourite - Spaghetti Carbonara - and they made it especially. It was delicious, as were the bruschetta and the Fantasia pizza. Happy giving this restaurant 5 stars.

La Cicogna is right next to the schwabentor, can't be missed. Lovely place to eat, on the terras is great. I saw beautiful food being served around me, I had the pizza calzone, which was excellent. Nice and friendly staff, serving food with a smile.

Though they don’t have a Carbonara on the menu, I asked anyway and they were happy to make one for me. And it was one of the best I’ve had. Great patio. Friendly service, handled English well.

everything is good, always room without reservation

The terrace was a bit old and the floorboards were partly broken. In the evening the LED lights in the bushes shined directly in our faces and could not be dimmed, which was very uncomfortable. The food was delicious and not extremely expensive but not cheap either. Unfortunately, we were completely disappointed with the service overall. A dish out of 4 only came after the other 3 had already finished and nothing was said or offered. The waiters, with the exception of one, weren't really friendly but rather annoyed. Very unfortunate.

Stopped spontaneously while passing through and it was a great idea. Delicious pizza and pasta, the table was big enough and the atmosphere was great. Went quickly.

There were two of us there and after looking at Freiburg's beautiful old town, this great restaurant rounded off a wonderful day. We were there on Good Friday and didn't expect that we would easily get a place without a reservation. But everything went smoothly. The staff are very friendly and there is a variety of great food on offer. What we noticed most positively was that the pasta was all homemade, which the waiter also confirmed to us. The portions are also very generous. We can recommend the restaurant 100% and will definitely be back soon!

The waiter with the beard and the dark hair he was attacking us because we didn't speak German or Italian or Spanish with very upset way any he should be fired. I was with my aunt and we was speaking to him in English for information about a dish and he told us with a rude way and loud " you want it or not". First time i saw this in may life and i never see a behaviour like this

Traveled from Hamburg to visit Freiburg and stopped here for lunch. I chose a pizza that looked picture-perfect and tasted excellent, along with delicious draft beer. Great service, nice ambience. Highly Recommended.

Very nice waiters. The pizza was exceptionally good, the dough was simply fantastic. The bathrooms downstairs in Kellner definitely need an overhaul. But the atmosphere at the top is beautiful.

Nice welcome and good products.

The boss is once again impossible, insults guests and has no ability to take criticism. The food was good except for the lasagne. The lasagne only consisted of bechamel sauce and dough. Unfortunately, the meat and tomato sauce were missing and were therefore not edible. We reported this back, but the lasagne was still charged. When we said that you couldn't eat it that way, we were just told that it couldn't be and the facts were denied. Afterwards, the boss came to our table really angry and, after paying, shouted several times that we shouldn't show up anymore, even ran after us and called us out the door and insulted us.

Sehr nettes Personal. Unser Essen war sehr gut. Wir hatten eine Pizza mit scharfer Salami und Spaghetti mit Tomatensoße (Napolitana). Ich kann nur 4 Sterne geben da mein Nachtisch „par excellence“ ausverkauft war und ich somit das Tiramisù nicht probieren konnte. La Cicogna ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

The food was very tasty, pasta with seafood, pasta with salmon and cream, pizza - everything was well prepared, the seafood was soft, the sauces were delicious. The guys also make delicious cocktails. Despite the full seating in the hall, the dishes were brought out within 10 minutes of being ordered. Many thanks to the chefs. The only thing is that the interior of the hall has some defects. Overall I recommend it, it was very tasty.
