I was absolutely thrilled! The food was incredibly delicious – fresh, aromatic, and prepared with love. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. I will definitely be back and can highly recommend the restaurant!

Authentic and mostly delicious Italian food. Good salad. The pizzas and focaccia come in huge portions (I asked them to cut my pizza with a roller instead of fighting the pizza with a knife, and they did it right away). The waiters are polite but busy so it's hard to get a waiter. The second time we were there, there was a serious fly problem, sitting outside. We didn't check if there was air conditioning inside the restaurant (most restaurants that aren't American fast food chains don't have it) and we preferred to try sitting outside.

We had a wonderful meal on the charming terrace, right next to the magnificent Schwabentor Gate. Unfortunately, we didn't have dessert, as after a generously filled bruschetta and delicious pasta, there was no room for it. We'll definitely be back!

After being disappointed with the local food in the area, we arrived at the ideal restaurant for Israelis! An *Italian* restaurant with excellent food and very kind waiters!!! Very reminiscent of the food in Israel and a wide selection of dishes suitable for the whole family, lovely and professional service! Worth a visit :)

Super friendly and attentive service. The food was truly outstanding; I highly recommend the homemade ravioli. The ambiance is also very pleasant. We'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Freiburg.

We had a bruschetta starter and sea bream with chanterelles and rissotto. Everything was delicious, fresh, and the service was attentive.

The carpaccio di manzo was excellent, and the service was always on point. I can only recommend it.

We had a wonderful evening. The service was simply fantastic, and so was the food. We had tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms, which were simply divine. My wife had pasta with a tuna steak, which was simply perfect. Cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. You should definitely make a reservation, as it gets extremely busy. We'd go back anytime.

Today we had the antipasti platter and the lasagna with salmon and spinach. Both were beautifully presented and tasted very good. In our opinion, both are highly recommended. The ambiance on the terrace and the service left nothing to be desired.

The food was good. The service was rather impatient and not very helpful. I got the impression I had to leave as quickly as possible so they could fill the table again. The parmesan was taken from our table and immediately given to the neighbors. There was a wide selection of pasta and pizza. The food was okay. A bit too salty in my opinion. I had a pasta bolognese.

Salmon pasta was a mistake. Unless you like it, don't order it.

A great restaurant! The service was first-class! We were there with five children and three adults. The food came quickly, the children were given lollipops later, and we were allowed to take leftover food home with us. A huge thank you to the team!

We were searching for a suitable dining spot for our young children. We noticed a family with young children sitting on the patio, which led us to believe it would be a good choice. We ordered a pizza and drinks, but the waiter appeared visibly annoyed and began speaking German to his coworker. If you’re an American family with young children, I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s unfortunate because the food was actually good, but the service was lacking.

Unfortunately, something very serious happened in terms of catering. Finding something on your plate that is potentially dangerous to your health is not acceptable at all. I will not publish photos or go into details and I will try to give a judgement only on the dish I ate. Tagliatelle with salmon and asparagus: the pasta was cooked well but the asparagus was too al dente but above all without flavour, very little oil, perhaps without salt. It should definitely be reviewed They apologized for the inconvenience and offered us coffee. Nice place in an excellent location

We visited your restaurant. Friendly staff, absolutely delicious food, and a very cozy atmosphere.

We go there often with the university and guests; the food is reliable and good (everyone is always very satisfied) and the service is really friendly. The seating is good, even after 9:30 p.m. – which is by no means the case everywhere in Freiburg.

We came here for a spontaneous meal. The food was delicious, the staff was also very friendly and we really liked it. What unfortunately marred the visit a bit were the toilets. After we paid we went to the toilet briefly. At that point they were completely messed up with the legacies of our predecessors. We are aware that there was a lot going on and that you can't check the toilets every minute, but it's really unpleasant when you stand/sit in other people's leftovers. However, I can't imagine that this is the norm. I think it was an unfortunate coincidence because otherwise everything was great.

Very nice welcome and we ate very well! If you don't know German, you can speak Italian and English there without any worries! Remember to tip when adding the bill! This can even be chosen and put when paying with your bank card!

One of the best restaurants I ate in. Fish soup was great. Dorade with risotto - wow. A bit slow service, but I can still recommend the place. It was sad to read some other people had different experience.

I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely slow, it took them more than 45 minutes to bring the food. I don't know if they did it to consume more drinks, but we still didn't complain and waited patiently, ordering more drinks and waiting for the food even though the restaurant was not full. The surprise was when one of the employees (the man with glasses and white hair) showed a very unprofessional and rude attitude. He got very upset when we didn't leave a tip as if it were an obligation and not an option, which I thought was totally inappropriate and out of line. If the food arrives so late and the service is not adequate, why should I leave you a tip? The attitude of the waiter who I believe is the owner was so negative that even after reading several reviews online, I realized that I am not the only person who has had problems with his behavior. Many other people have also mentioned the bad attitude and unfriendly treatment of that same waiter, confirming that it is not an isolated case. In short, I would not recommend this place if you are looking for good service, respectful attention and a pleasant experience. The slowness and attitude of the staff leaves a lot to be desired.

El camarero de gafas y pelo blanco (creo que es el encargado o el dueño) es un impresentable. Nos trató bastante mal por no haber dejado propina después de haber esperado más de 45 minutos por nuestra comida. En ningún momento nos quejamos de la lentitud del servicio simplemente esperamos y aún así¿te sorprende que un cliente no te deje propina? La propina es una opción y no una obligación pero con ese trato lo raro es que haya clientes. Muy maleducado.

We went to Storchen on Friday evening for an aperitif and then went for dinner after going to the cinema. The Speciàlitta della casa, homemade ravioli, were partly hard, partly cold, partly as they should be. Our objection or comment about this was noted - and that was it.

The wine tasted like cork, the pizza was lukewarm, and the service wasn't particularly convincing. All in all, unfortunately not recommended.

The pizza was very good. The floor was nice and thin and there was a good amount of covering. There were free seats and the atmosphere was pleasant. Probably the best pizza I've had so far!

Perfect. At the end of a day of driving from the Netherlands, we arrived in fantastic Freiburg around 6 p.m. and had a delicious meal at La Cicogna. Melanzane very tasty. Excellent value for money. Recommended.

Unfortunately, we weren't offered an aperitif in the half-full restaurant! When we asked if we could have a drink, the waiter said, "No, it's not possible." We've never experienced anything like this before! It was only 5 p.m.

Wir waren zu Besuch in Freiburg und sind zufälligerweise in diesem Restaurant gelandet. Wir konnten dank des guten Wetters sogar draussen auf der Terrasse essen. Wir bestellten einen speziellen Salat und Lamm mit Gemüse. Dazu ein feines Glas Wein. Das Essen kam sehr speditiv und war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Wenn wir das nächste Mal wieder nach Freiburg kommen, dann werden wir dieses Restaurant gerne wieder berücksichtigen. Ich habe Mühe zu verstehen, wie es zu den verschiedenen schlechten Bewertungen kam, denn die Qualität des Essens war top. Wir sind selber Besitzer eines Restaurants mit Michelin Stern, wir wissen also von was wir sprechen.

Waren mit einer Freundin die sich Glutenfrei ernähren muss zur Übernachtung in Freiburg und haben einen Italiener gesucht bei dem sie auch etwas findet. Sind zufällig auf „La Cicogna“ gestoßen. Haben zur Vorspeise Lachstartar und Vitello Tonnato bestellt. Zum Hauptgang das Kürbisrisotto mit Garnelen, Doradenfielt und die Hirschraviloli. Zum Trinken hatten wir den Chianti Villeta bestellt. Essen war ausgezeichnet und auch die Weinauswahl war hervorragend. Der gewählte Wein passte außerdem sehr gut zum Essen. Der Service war einwandfrei, wir waren zu 3. Essen, alle drei selbst in der Gastro tätig und es wurde auf jede Kleinigkeit geachtet. Rundum sehr zufrieden und definitiv weiter zu empfehlen!

We had dinner here with 13 people on Saturday. What can I say, it was delicious as always. All dishes were served together. The service staff are quick, friendly and funny even though the house is full! We can only recommend the stork!

Nach 3 mal klingeln konnte ich meine Reservation anmelden. Andrea, sous Chef oder bester Freund des Inhabers bediente uns. Nebst herausragenden Speisen, Pizza nach eigenem Gusto, Carpacio thuna, Taglatelli hausgemacht und schönem Salat, beeindruckte die unkomplizierte, freundliche Art des Erwähnten. Die Grappakarte sollte ein Muss sein für Liebhaber von feinen Seitenwagen. Wir hatten viel Spass auf hohem Niveau mit herzlichkeit und kommen gerne wieder. Danke Andrea!

Salad was very good, pizza was also good, unfortunately plate was cold, pasta dish was good, pasta was a bit too firm. Guest room was cold when we were told, heating was then turned on. Host is very unpleasant, very snooty, doesn't say hello and only says goodbye after we say hello. I'll never come back

Good service and good cuisine get tips. After a happy restaurant visit, I don't sit down and write reviews, I just enjoy the rest of my day. PS: This written review is a response to the owner, I wanted to leave it as a simple review. Oh yes, by the way, zero stars is unfortunately not an option for them either. -In the owner's numerous reactions, you can also see the distorted perception that a guest should somehow qualify for decent service instead of simply receiving it as a matter of course when dining out. As soon as you make demands and don't see the inside of a restaurant three times a year and have to compulsively take photos of your food, you end up with perhaps a mediocre rating.

It started with the fact that my wife's wine spritzer was served without carbonation. After a complaint, more mineral water and some wine were passively and aggressively poured in. We then wanted to cancel the meal and pay for drinks when the waitress enthusiastically tried to remedy the situation. The carpaccio came with pickled peppers poured over it, everything just tasted incredibly like peppers. The ragout arrived on her plate served differently, with tougher meat. After complaining - she explicitly said that she didn't care whether it was charged or canceled, she wouldn't eat something like that - a young man came to the table who wanted to talk about the resources that were used up for a meal ?? Then comment on my wife's review by saying that I was probably satisfied? We had mineral water, wine spritzer and wheat beer (you can't go wrong with mineral water and wheat beer). My antipasti was garnished with an oily strip of fish, which made almost everything taste like fish. The ragout had no taste for me, I only ate some of the side dish because you don't usually go to a restaurant full! Simply surreal. Regardless of the complaints, we paid the full invoice amount of €122 without any discussion.

Warm welcome, pleasant service and delicious food!

I would like to say at the outset that I actually had no desire for Italian and was simply very pleasantly surprised. The service was perfect, he knew his trade from start to finish and was very accommodating. There were four of us and we had 4 different starters (the antipasti plate was forgotten in the photos) and 4 main dishes. I was able to try them all and found them all very good. The highlight for me was the tortellini with pumpkin filling (9.5/10) the other 3 dishes were all 8/10 but this is of a personal nature. The starter soup was great and the rest of the starters, especially the Vitello Tonnato, were very good. Can recommend the visit without reservation.

IF YOU ARE NOT FROM THEIR TRIBE, STAY AWAY: Racist personels with conducting behaviors potentially subject to a hate-conduct case in the court. Me and the two other friends of my are 3 doctors from Basel, Switzerland. One of our friends, who is indeed rated number 1 in the doctoral program, was wearing Hijab. The waiter was not looking at her from the very beginning, and was "throwing" the dish to her, instead of placing it in front of her. The waiter made a sigh and grabbed the menu from us aggressively sound after "one out of 3" of us said she would go with the food without drink. Please see the bill. We paid attention and he was smiling and laughing with German locals sitting at the table next to us. If we were not tourist passing by this town, we would have called the police. Edit: After the most extremely rude response of the owner: which is the best proof ever of my comment, I am sharing our picture on the bad day of ours taken in their restaurant here-they were too late with the pasta, when we asked for it with a kind smile, the waiter rudely said we were not the only one in the restaurant. so although it is in the bill (left picture) not on our table (right picture)attached for the readers to judge themselves.

We had dinner at La Cicogna with our granddaughter (4 years old). The food and service were excellent. Also very good in terms of price. Large portions. Our service was an absolute hit. A big thank you to Ronny, our... Granddaughter “served” her so nicely. From picture and coloring books, colored pencils (very important - with pencil sharpener) and not forgetting the final lolly, everything was perfect. When we are in Freiburg again, we would love to come back. Our granddaughter doesn't just have 5 stars, but an entire starry sky.

For us the best pizzas in Freiburg, of which there is a nice selection. The starter with beetroot carpaccio, sheep's cheese, mozzarella, nuts and mustard vinaigrette was very tasty and a good start. Reservations are definitely an advantage! Always a pleasure to be a guest at La Cigogna!

Wir waren mit unserer Enkeltochter (4 Jahre) zum Abendessen im La Cicogna. Das Essen und der Service waren ausgezeichnet. Auch preislich sehr gut. Große Portionen. Der absolute Hit war unsere Bedienung. Ein dickes Dankeschön an Ronny, der unsere Enkelin so nett "bedient" hat. Von Bilder- und Malbüchern, Buntstiften (sehr wichtig - mit Stiftanspitzer) und nicht zu vergessen der abschließende Lolly, war alles perfekt. Wenn wir wieder in Freiburg sind, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder. Von unserer Enkeltochter gibt es nicht nur 5 Sterne sondern einen ganzen Sternenhimmel.

We went here spontaneously for dinner yesterday. Shortly after 6 it wasn't a problem to get a place for two. After that it filled up. We had a mixed starter platter and two different pastas, one tagliatelle with pike-perch, one spaghetti with pumpkin-feta sauce, all very tasty. Recommended.
