A superb, well-organized, and clean restaurant that offers excellent value for money. The ambiance is unique. We've eaten here several times now and have always received friendly service, especially from the tall, friendly waiter with the slightly longer hair.

We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The waitress asked if we would like to order drinks. The food arrived after a short, reasonable wait. All the appetizers and main courses were well-prepared and delicious. For dessert, we had a selection of espressos. The service was consistently attentive and friendly. The ambiance is lovely. The lighting reflected in the windows, which was enchanting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience at this restaurant. The food quality was below my expectations, and the waiters were neither friendly nor professional. The service was poor, and I didn't feel respected as a guest. Because of this experience, I probably won't be visiting this restaurant again. I hope the management will focus more on staff training and improving the quality of service.

Our restaurant visit today was unfortunately marred by the unacceptable behavior of one of our waiters. The middle-aged waiter with long gray hair was consistently unfriendly, disrespectful, and visibly annoyed. Questions were answered curtly, and basic courtesy was completely lacking. Such behavior is not only unprofessional in the service industry, but simply inappropriate. As guests, we expect at least respectful treatment – regardless of the staff's mood or how they feel. It is extremely disappointing when a single employee so negatively impacts the entire experience. In conclusion: I found a new vehicle, but I will certainly not be returning.

We walked in and asked if we could get a table in half an hour, and were told a specific table would be ready for us inside. We returned to the restaurant within half an hour, but the table was suddenly given to two other people... which was a bit odd and not customer-friendly. There was a spot on the terrace, and it was much colder there, which was a shame. Otherwise, the food was fine, and the price/quality ratio was also good. Service was also reasonably fast, but a bit surly/distant.

I agree with many of the recent 1-star reviews here. The food itself is reasonably good—we tried a couple of pizzas and pasta, and they were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service completely undermines the experience. On a Tuesday afternoon, when the restaurant was largely empty, we were refused indoor seating and told everything was “reserved,” which obviously did not appear to be the case. From being shown to an uncomfortable tall table (was refused a normal table with no reason given - it wasn't even reserved !) for 4, to having our order taken took nearly 30 minutes. The service attitude was particularly appalling. One waiter (tall, grey hair and beard) was unfriendly, brash and slow to engage. Another shorter waiter (also with beard) consistently avoided us altogether, despite repeated attempts to get his attention. We observed similar behavior toward other Asian diners, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and, frankly, discriminatory. It’s a shame, because the chefs and the unique vintage car setting deserve much better front line service. As it stands, the poor and unwelcoming service overshadows everything else. This place could have been a hidden gem for visitors and tourists like ourselves if not for the two service "germs" that completely ruined it. Would I return or recommend this place? Unfortunately not—at least not until the service standards improve and guests are treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of nationality.

The food was really good, but unfortunately the staff were so incredibly unfriendly that you constantly felt like a hidden camera was going on and a film crew was about to show up and expose everything. Just as we were about to leave, we quickly went to the restroom, and then came the shock! There was paper and urine everywhere on the floor, a pungent stench of stale urine, like a train station toilet. I know that customers naturally leave the restroom like that, but if it's my restaurant, maybe someone should clean it occasionally. It was definitely a strange experience for us because the fantastic food didn't match the rest of the restaurant.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Evening Completely Ruined Our entire evening was spoiled due to the behaviour of the hotel staff. They were exceptionally rude, unprofessional, and aggressive. One staff member was literally shouting, creating a hostile and intimidating environment. What made this even worse is that my 8-year-old child was terrified by this behaviour. No family should ever be made to feel unsafe or uncomfortable in a hotel setting.

Did not expect such a poor service. We have visited Remise and wanted to sit for something to drink and small dinner. It was almost empty inside (Monday around 5:30pm). It took 10mins for the waiter to even come to our table and when he did he only said (in very rude way)that we cannot sit here, only outside as the table is reserved. Of course there was no reservation sign on the table (there was on another one) and there were plenty of empty tables around. Very rude!

Service is kinda weird, their waiter was saying weird jokes and was a bit sloppy. But the meals were delicious, I like both the salad and the main dish. The cocktail was 4/5. All the tables inside were booked, so we sat on the terrace, which is also great, with a nice view on such amazing car collection.

The food was okay. The pasta water was probably a bit too salty, and the sauce was rather bland. The turkey breast, on the other hand, was cooked a little too long, making it dry and slightly tough. The mozzarella as a starter was good. The cherry tomatoes were only heated through; they would have been much better lightly sautéed. Overall, I expected much more. I was really looking forward to it.

It's definitely one the best car museums I've seen! There where almost all time vehicles starring from 50s up to quite new modern models! The food was also good, but the beer was not German, which was surprising! But the concept is very interesting to visit! By the way you can also purchase machines!

The restaurant is located in the Classic Remise – a stylishly converted former warehouse that now exhibits vintage cars. The combination of industrial charm and elegant ambiance creates a special atmosphere. The outdoor area within the building is also beautifully designed and invites you to linger. I ordered a salsiccia pizza – well-seasoned, crispy base, delicious toppings, a perfect all-around success. It came with a homemade lemonade, which I highly recommend (especially the Elderflower del Mar). This was my second time there and I was once again very satisfied. An all-around wonderful experience – good food, great location, friendly service. Definitely recommended.

I don't understand all the 5-star ratings. We stopped in there spontaneously because we were in the depot and were thirsty. We were ignored for quite a while, even though it was only moderately busy. We then ordered our drinks and had to wait about 20 minutes for our four drinks, which were brought to our table in a truly uncaring manner. So we quickly decided against eating there—which we had actually planned to do. Both of the service employees we encountered were unfriendly, and like Tim Taler, they seemed to have sold their smiles. Unfortunately, we won't be going there again—a real shame, because we just moved into the immediate neighborhood, and with 18 employees, it would have been a great idea for our breaks.

Imagine five guests sitting down in this restaurant and being greeted by a tall, long-haired waiter with the unfriendly words: “Do you know those customers who always sit at the tables where there are still dirty dishes?” Annoyed Face included. When we replied that all the other tables were reserved, he replied, “Well, this one too.” Only there was no “Reserved” sign on the table. “Besides, the kitchen is closed for two hours anyway,” was added harshly. Actually, we would have liked to at least have something to drink and treat the child to an ice cream, but with this tone we lost the desire to do so. I certainly won't recommend the restaurant in the Classic Remise to friends and customers. Just pathetic, that kind of behavior. I recommend that the waiter take a course in customer relations or psychotherapy.

The food is fantastic, I had a pizza and Bruschetta. Everything perfect. Compliments to the chef ! Tasty, perfect portion, really really good ! But...... The staff (waiters) are exceptionally horrible. I've never been treated like that in my life. It took a long time to even get their attention. Order was taken without interest, and therefor they got it wrong too. I wanted to go to the toilet before I ordered, but was stopped at the door as I wasn't as "paying guest" yet. Only when I pointed out that I wanted food too as I permitted to proceed. Really a shame, they have a gem in their hands, but need to FIRE the front office staff as soon as possible. The waiters are evening arguing with each other while waiting tables. What a disgrace, they are really pulling the place down.... For service, minus 5 stars ! Would I go again ? Nope.

I've been here several times to order coffee, cake, etc., and I've been satisfied every time. However, most of the waiting staff seemed pretty unfriendly. I've also learned that some of the waiters are more or less friendly depending on the guests' clothing. Today (June 30, 2025) I went to the Classic Remise again and then to the Mezzomar. A companion and I sat outside, or rather in the area next to the cars (we were the only ones up to that point), and waited at least 10 minutes for the waiter, who made his rounds in the restaurant area several times. After about 10 minutes, a family also sat down in the outside area (showroom with the cars). The waiter immediately came out and told the family that it was air-conditioned inside and that it would be better to sit inside, which they did. Once again, however, we were ignored, despite the waiter looking at us several times. We then got up and left. The waiter, with a medium-length black beard and an Italian accent, acted extremely unprofessionally and rudely. I hope the Mezzomar team does something about this.

Nice Italian restaurant in the Classic remise. That's why they close earlier. You can sit on a covered terrace with a view of the cars. But inside it is also very nice and trendy, also clean and nice toilets. Price level a bit higher than at a simple pizzeria. I ordered a pizza, I have never had such a big pizza anywhere. Certainly a diameter of 35 cm so you can easily share it with two people. Or order a children's pizza if you are less hungry

Simply phenomenal! Every plate is a hit, prepared with love and of the highest quality. The drinks selection is also top-notch. The value for money is absolutely spot on – what you get here is worth every cent. For me, it's a clear 5 out of 5 stars! You won't want to leave a single bite unfinished. Food was really delicious, not cheap, but tasted great and definitely worth the money. The dessert was also delicious. Service was quick and good. The location is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!

This was our second time there and I think it's good, but it won't be my favorite restaurant. That doesn't mean it's bad, the service was super nice and accommodating and the ambience itself is also very nice, but ultimately I would prefer other places in Düsseldorf for Italian food. Still, it was tasty.

Great location in the middle of fantastic vintage cars. In the background there is a subtle hint of unleaded petrol. The food is very good. Delicious pizza and good pasta. The service is also very attentive. Congratulations to the whole team.

The food at Mezzomar is always great! The pizza, appetizers and spaghetti with aioli and shrimp are super delicious. I really like going there. But getting a table is not always easy - it's best to reserve in advance. The toilets have finally been renovated, but to be honest: they should still be a bit cleaner and fresher. Overall, a nice place to eat – I’d love to come back!

We came to the exhibition and spontaneously decided to stay for dinner. I would like to say that the restaurant is very originally decorated in a modern style. It's a beautiful place with warm lighting. When we were there there weren't many people there. The staff tried to be friendly, but the waitress who served us seemed a bit forgetful. At first she brought drinks, but not a glass for everyone. We waited about 20 minutes but nothing happened. When we asked her to bring the glasses, she made a face as if I had asked her for money. But after that we didn't get any and had to go to the bar ourselves. That it smells like machine oil everywhere and the food apparently smelled like it too. But we wanted to get out into the fresh air as quickly as possible. I don't know how people can stay there for long.

So I tend to rate every restaurant/café I go to and if you look at my profile you can see that I really have a very positive opinion. However, I noticed something very interesting here. When me and my friend wanted to go for a drink here, the waiter stood in front of us and said in broken German that we couldn't eat yet but only after 5 p.m. He didn't even ask what we wanted, i.e. eat or drink. Then my friend said, “Yes, we actually wanted to have a drink.” Then the waiter led us to a table in the last corner, even though the entire middle area was neither reserved BUT free. A few minutes later, around 4:30 p.m., 4 obviously more upscale and 'richer' men came and were given a place right in the middle and offered them food straight away. Especially in a country like Germany, something like this is unimaginable for me. I'm German, middle class, look normal and am still treated differently than someone who can tip €50. That I still experience something like that here. Insolence, especially these days when equality plays a big role. Just by the way, the waitress couldn't even pronounce the word pomegranate lemonade. It has nothing to do with devaluation, but someone who waits should at least be able to pronounce the drink if you prefer rich people.

The food and ambience at Mezzomar Düsseldorf were top – very tasty and stylishly furnished. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. Felt like it was fobbed off quickly. It's a shame otherwise it would have been perfect all around.

Due to a professional trip, I went to the Classic Remise with a resident (residence for people with disabilities) and then had a bite to eat in the Mezzomar. You had the feeling that you weren't wanted there, especially by a certain service member (older man with longer hair and a beard). Above all, this gentleman is not good at being polite. I had the feeling that he liked to deliberately "overlook" you and make you wait extra (hardly any guests on site). When I wanted to pay, we were "overlooked" again, so I went to the front and told another gentleman. The long-haired man stood behind the bar and was busy with his cell phone. I found it very unprofessional. When his colleague asked him that we wanted to pay, he became a little louder and rude towards his work colleague. This man seems to have missed his job. I also think it's not really wheelchair accessible and is quite narrow in places. My conclusion: We and I as a private person will definitely not visit the Mezzomar again.

Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and seated as I passed by. The food was very good, although the pizza was a bit thin. It had generous toppings and the tomato sauce was very fruity. The design is rather old-fashioned, but very nicely decorated. I will definitely come back.

War heute im Menta, um eine Pizza zu essen. Der Belag war ok. Der Pizzaboden hingegen war knochenhart und mit dem Messer nicht schneidbar. Man musste ihn mit der Messerschneide mühsam durchsägen, um ein Stück Pizza essen zu können. Sowas verdirbt einem jeden Spaß am Essen.

I've never seen anything like this before, sorry! Absolutely not. There were two of us dining, and I accidentally got corn on my pizza, which supposedly shouldn't have been charged for, but I did anyway. The small bottle of Coke was moldy. Not that you think there was an apology, no, the waiter with no hair just said how can you drink it from that bottle when it was mentioned. We got a new one, of course, but a bitter lemon costs 6.50/a Coke 5.50. What kind of drink prices are those, or was the moldy Coke that was replaced split up so it would be paid for! Unbelievable!! When I didn't tip, the waiter gave me 30 cents too much because he didn't have any change, arguing that he would tip me ;) Sorry for the service, and the mold is the least of it. Of course, I'd also be interested to see what the kitchen looked like, and we weren't the only ones to complain that day.
