Mezzomar Düsseldorf Classic Remise in Düsseldorf

The Mezzomar is highly recommended, but you should make a reservation if you plan to meet up there. The food is generous and offers interesting variations. The head waiter is the boss, but he's also very personable. We enjoy eating there.

Loved everything. We had a reservation set for 7:45pm on a Sunday. It was not full at all but in cases where it might be full, best to always just have a reservation. The waiter we had was really friendly and helpful throughout. We got there an hour late and unfortunately the kitchen was closed but we had desert and drinks which were still 10/10. Defiantly going back.

We celebrated a wonderful big birthday in the Mezzomar event room and EVERYTHING went smoothly, we are very excited! The location in the Classic Remise Düsseldorf is of course unique in itself. I usually find cars rather boring, but there are some great pieces of jewelry among the classic cars. There is an event room on the first floor, where you sit separately from the rest of the restaurant and don't notice anything of the normal operations. There are even private (and by the way very clean) toilet rooms, so you're really alone. The event room is surrounded by a balcony from which you can enjoy a fantastic view of the vintage cars. The dome of the beautiful building is still lit up in the evenings, it all looks impressive and is impressive. But what would a location like this be without good food and equally good service? We were spoiled there too! The buffet-style food was not at all run-of-the-mill, but sophisticated and not only extremely delicious, but also very nicely presented. The service was great, the waiters were very attentive and so nice! We and the other guests felt very comfortable. The children also asked for a Nutella pizza from the restaurant and that wasn't a problem either. Many thanks to Ms. Tornetta for the great and patient organization in advance! So if you're looking for a top location with top food and top organization for a special celebration, you've come to the right place! And I also don't want to leave the "normal" restaurant unmentioned: We've already been there beforehand and the food, ambience and service are great there too!

Italian food, espresso, Italian staff and... Spectacular views of an unrivaled collection of cars!

I don’t recommend this Restaurant ,They are so impolite and the food is just horrible, i couldn’t even eat the spaghetti carbonara i was extremely sulty and when i asked for changing my food because i can’t eat it anymore they told me i still have to pay the first shity food which i couldn’t even eat.

If the waitress makes racist comments to customers, it is a disgrace for the entire catering industry. I always thought hospitality was the number one golden rule. But here I realized that this word does not exist in this inhumane town. I seriously doubt the authenticity of the alleged “Mezzomar”, because its attempt to create a product with an “Italian atmosphere” failed tragically. Calling yourself by such a name defiles the entire culture of Italy. This, my people, is a clear example that money makes the world go round and some people will never understand the true value of an individual. Because let's be honest: every cent that flows into the coffers here is better spent in donations for those who really need it.

There is little to write about, the restaurant is simply great! Great employees, an honest and down-to-earth boss… the food is GREAT, in a lovely atmosphere. I'll be back. 💪🏻 Restaurateur with heart and understanding.

The food is both visually appealing and absolutely delicious—kudos to the chef for their excellent work. That being said, the customer-facing staff was, for lack of a better term, exotically rude. For example, after waiting 3–4 minutes to be seated, I politely said "Hallo" to a passing waiter to ask for assistance. He responded with "Hallo," without even looking at me, and continued walking. It was clear we were waiting to be seated, and at the very least, he could have informed a colleague if he was busy. I’ve encountered rude staff before, but this interaction was uniquely unpleasant. There were other odd interactions, but I’ll keep this brief. Would I return? Probably not, despite how fantastic the food was.

Wow wow wow..! We ate here for the first time today. What a great restaurant, super cozy, great ambience, great menu and super delicious food! We'll definitely be back, a really great restaurant with a friendly boss. See you very soon!

It was a unique experience. We had a wonderful evening with delicious food and a view of the classic car.

Today, as car enthusiasts, we visited the Classic Remise again for a long time. We wanted to combine the visit with a meal at the local restaurant. On the entrance board you will be informed to wait for a waiter. After we had already waited 10 minutes, were seen by two waiters and politely ignored, we went in. Suddenly, within a minute, a waiter responded in a brisk tone telling us to wait, followed by asking if we had a reservation? The waiter further explained that the indoor area was reserved for reservations only. Funny, in the recessions the restaurant operator explains that the indoor area is also reserved for guests who want to eat something on the weekend. No effort had been made to offer us another place outside. The thing about the “host” in this restaurant was either not understood or not necessary - maybe both. In any case, we will not make another attempt to visit this store again. The Classic Remise, on the other hand, is always worth a visit. So there are also 3 stars for the ambience.

Everything very good, anti pasti, pizza, lasagna, very very good, surrounded by Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini.

Despite waiting a little longer before ordering and until the food was on the table, I can't help myself and simply have to give this restaurant full marks. :) The shop was probably packed because of the Boot (trade fair) and the boss served us personally. There were eight of us and we were very hungry. Full points are not given for the absolutely unique ambience, nor for the extremely friendly and authentic service, but solely for the fabulous food. The mixed appetizer platter alone deserves this rating. My saltimbocca was also just perfect. My colleagues also really enjoyed the large pizzas and one colleague obviously enjoyed the pasta like a delicacy. Next time I'll come back with the family :)

It is a very nice place inside the restaurant, but we need to seat outside, even with free places inside. Maybe some kind of reservation base thing? And not very friendly for tourists.

We didn't even get around to ordering anything to drink today! My wife was a bit shivering, so we wanted to sit inside the restaurant. Neither the waiter nor his colleague paid any attention to us; he smeared his hair into shape 14 times (!) with jelly from a can. He also served with these unwashed hands. When I asked my colleague why we weren't being served, I had to hear that only food was served inside. And at her house you register before you enter! Definitely not! The motto: Be nice to the staff, we have enough guests hits the mark here! Never again.

We were invited to dinner by a friend for his birthday. Quite apart from the fact that the atmosphere in the Classic Remise with the fantastic cars is wonderful, we also really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant itself. The food was very good, very large portions, we were all more than full. And Olli's service is simply perfect - funny, relaxed, fast and competent. If only all restaurants offered such service and quality! We'll definitely be back!

I don't normally give reviews! Unfortunately, the unfriendly handling forces us to give this rating! Here you are divided into a two-class society at the entrance! "Just drinking? No, that's not possible!" Sorry, if everything goes well, I would like to be able to decide for myself whether I spontaneously stay longer for dinner! The way we were processed at the entrance also made other guests turn back - we weren't the only ones (8 people). Please remove the sign at the entrance "Welcome! First but definitely not the last time here :) We didn't have a reservation and it was completely okay to wait a little longer. The restaurant was completely full, so you had to wait longer for your food, which is completely fine. The food was terrific. We'll definitely be back :)

Simply eat delicious food in the Classic Remise! I've been going to Mezzomar regularly for several years, often during my lunch break or in the evening as I work in an office in the Classic Remise. Particularly worth mentioning is Olli, who is not only friendly but also wonderfully funny. His humor is unique and always puts you in a good mood, but you should be able to joke around and also like a bit of sarcasm to make it extra funny. :) I've tried pizza, salads and pasta, and everything was consistently delicious. The pizzas in particular are huge, so it's better to come hungry! My highlight is the Caesar salad with chicken: you even get extra sauce in a small bowl so you can decide for yourself whether you want more. And the bread with the homemade tomato crust? If I could eat more than I would like... simply incredibly delicious! In my opinion, a clear recommendation for everyone who appreciates good food and humorous service! :)

Atmosphere: 10/10 How could you, as a car enthusiast, give this area fewer points 😅 Food: price/quality is definitely on point! We ate 2 pizzas, a children's spaghetti and each had a drink (large bottles) and spent a good 50 euros. A very rude person refused to seat us indicating the place was fully booked and that we would need to wait for at least 30 minutes, when the place was at least half empty. Stay away from this place if you look foreign 🚫

The “Mezzomar” rightly deserves the five stars in every respect. First-class food, very friendly and attentive service ("Olli" served us professionally), great ambience. Very clean, cozy and well-kept restaurant. We once had spaghetti carbonara (but with penne), then tagliatelle with salm and the classic burger. The meat is wonderfully tender and juicy, nothing bought, a crispy bun. The tagliatelle with the salmon was prepared to perfection, not cooked dry, the sauce was a poem, as was the penne carbonara. A great way to start looking forward to Christmas. We definitely haven't seen the last of us here. Price/performance in absolute balance and completely appropriate.

The ambience is nice and cozy. I found the waiter rather funny, others in the group found him rather rude. After eating we had to wait a long time for the waiter so we had to call him to order something else. The pasta at the table was good, the pizza not so much. It made an impression because of its size, but the dough became so thin towards the middle that it was just a soft mass. Almost all of them had to be seasoned with salt and pepper etc. Too bad. I think I'll come back, but then I'll order pasta.

We came to view the cars and were greeted by friendly staff at the restraunt, we were seated by the great waitress by the window and served drinks and food quickly. The food quality was good, but the portions were large so not all meals were finished. Great sport for any meal, worth going with a group.

A great atmosphere in the middle of great cars. The price of the food is a little higher but the quality is good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location in the middle of high-priced luxury sports cars and rare vintage cars gives the whole thing a special flair. I enjoyed my pizza from the back of a great Ferrari! If you're in Düsseldorf, it's definitely worth a visit, and not just for people with an affinity for cars. Entry to the Classic Remise is free.

We were there for dinner with a larger group. (15 people) -The food was very good -The service was courteous -Ambience and atmosphere very appealing Gladly again !

So we had dinner there this evening. Clearly a great ambience, food and drinks on offer were medium priced and sufficient. Portion size good. There were four of us, three of whom were satisfied, but the lasagne was not good. The guest missed the minced meat and the tomato sauce. We tried it too, it really wasn't good. We also complained about this to the friendly waitress, she just responded: I'll report it to the kitchen, and that's it. I'm sorry, we would have expected that something would have been offered, at least to the guest who also gave half the portion back. Would you like a cappuccino or...? Nothing like that happened, which was a shame. Maybe do better next time. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

On the occasion of a birthday we stopped at the Mezzomar in connection with a visit to the car exhibition. At first we were very skeptical due to the recent increase in negative reviews. Many reviews negatively highlighted the quality of the food and the gruff/impolite demeanor of the boss. Nevertheless, we wanted to form our own opinion. As a starter we ordered bruschetta, buffalo mozzarella with cherry tomatoes and a shrimp pan with toasted bread. All starters were fresh, excellently seasoned and we really enjoyed them. The warm, crispy bread, lightly drizzled with oil, was a pure culinary delight. For the main course we had a pizza, a burger and the saltimbocca. About the pizza: a decent size, crispy crust, just the right thin base, juicy, delicious tomato sauce and enough toppings. I am an absolute pizza fan and have eaten many pizzas, but for me this was the best pizza ever! ❤️ Burger with fries: plentiful and freshly topped with a delicious, juicy patty. Fries are super crispy and totally delicious with potatoes. It tasted very tasty 🤤 Saltimbocca: thin, juicy meat with potatoes and delicious sauce. There's nothing to complain about here either, except that a few more potatoes as a side dish would have been nice 😊 otherwise it was really very tasty. Our service employee P. Luigi was absolutely charming and made our visit extremely sweet 🫶. For us it was a thoroughly successful visit and we would definitely come back 👍👍👍

The restaurant is great, the atmosphere is very pleasant. Unfortunately the meat on my Surf & Turf pizza was tough, but the prawns were really on point. Unfortunately we had to wait 50 minutes for the pizza, a short information only after 30 minutes. No slice of bread with butter or bruschetta to sweeten the waiting time, nothing. You weren't asked if you wanted something else to drink, so all in all the service wasn't great. Recommendation goes to the car show! Very nice collection

Very nice atmosphere! It's easy to have a conversation because you can sit nicely separated and it's not so loud. The food is excellent and, despite the restaurant being full, served quickly (20 minutes). The parking lot is right next to the building, so you can treat yourself to a dessert and then head to the car. We would love to come back!

good service, tasty food, good beer. why 4 stars for service? because the first waiter came up, asked how many of us there were and asked to wait 5 minutes for the table to be prepared. after 2 minutes another waiter came up and without understanding said that there were no seats at all and to wait 30 minutes, although there were seats.

So a restaurant cannot have worse employees. The waiters walk past the guests without paying any attention to them. Everyone has empty glasses. You can only order if you draw attention to yourself. Even then it takes a long time. We got up again after 30 minutes and didn't eat anything. Really shameful for this great atmosphere.

Hello, unfortunately I have to say that today's visit to the restaurant was more than disappointing. We were looking forward to a delicious meal, but had to ask several times to even get a card, the service is really terrible. After we finally got the tickets, we were allowed to order something to drink straight away, which came after a long wait (nothing elaborate, just a small bottle of water and cola). Was queued at our table and before we could order our food. The service staff was gone again. They continued to be ignored. But hey, that wasn't our fault either, because it wasn't any better at the neighboring tables. Not recommended at all for me

A real recommendation. Great ambience, a restaurant surrounded by great cars. A great idea. I was particularly pleased that there were some vegan options. Not just salad and pasta as usual. I had the vegan BBQ burger, which was really delicious. The staff was super friendly (greetings to Jerry). A very friendly waiter. We'd love to come back.

The food was very, very tasty, although a bit sparing in terms of the amount of fries (for the citizens). But the taste is really very good. If you like cars, the ambience is perfect! But you can't complain about the restaurant itself either, it's very lovingly and stylishly furnished. Now the big BUT. But this almost caused my partner and I to turn around and go eat somewhere else. I called in advance and reserved a table for 8:30 p.m. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone told me that a reservation with the system was only possible until 8 p.m., but that it wasn't a problem, he would let me know and note it in the system. My partner and I arrive at 8:33 p.m., a waiter is waiting at the front. He asks if we have a reservation, I say “yes for 8:30 p.m. in such and such a name.” Without a word, the waiter turns around and leaves us standing in the doorway. After a minute or two, another waiter came up to us and asked in a very rude tone: “You have a reservation?” 40 minutes late!” I then pointed out to him that I had made a reservation by phone and was told that 8:30 p.m. was no problem. We were then brought to a table and with the words “If you want to eat something, do it quickly, the kitchen is closing soon” (a good hour after we arrived, other guests ordered food and food was served) we left the waiter. The waiter in question then sat down directly at the PC behind the counter and looked for my reservation. One or two still rather stroppy questions about my name and how I supposedly made the reservation, since the system only allows you to reserve until 8 p.m. Later, he found my reservation with the corresponding note and was a lot friendlier. My partner and I are still quite young, maybe that was the reason, maybe the waiter was just having a bad day, I don't know. You definitely didn't feel really welcome. The food was very tasty and the waitress who served us was also very friendly. What I would definitely like to mention as a positive thing. A fly landed in my half-full beer and died. I then asked for a new beer and gave the other one back. I was very surprised that I wasn't charged for the other beer. It was by no means my intention to get a “free” beer, especially since I had already drunk half the other one. That was definitely a plus point. I would definitely come again, but definitely make a reservation for 8 p.m. because the “drama” at the beginning spoiled the mood a bit.

Went there today (Saturday) and was turned away at 3:40 p.m. because the kitchen is closed from 4-5 p.m. It's a shame, maybe there should be better communication online.

There were 4 of us there. We were told straight away that the kitchen was closed. We said that we were well aware of this and that we would order something to drink at 5:30 and wait until the kitchen opened again at 5. OK. Got a table, everything was fine at first. It took a while until the extremely "nice" employee finally came to us to take the drinks. But oh well, it was well attended. Apparently they didn't even want to give us a meal ticket. We should actually go back after the drinks because we had a reservation. We then told the gentleman again that at the beginning we said we wanted to eat something here too. Keep the table after grimacing. People always turned away from us. Be it when we were taking the drinks, we weren't allowed to finish, or when we were eating. Finally we asked the employee if he would please pack two portions. Again, not really listening, he took one of the two plates with him. Another problem for him was that we wanted to split the bill 2/2. "Yes, now I have already printed the invoice but then I would have to do it again." totally annoyed. Yes, please. And then I would have liked to pack my food too. "Haha, you guys are funny." Please excuse us, but we told them that we wanted two portions packed, which they would have understood if they hadn't immediately turned away in annoyance. *thought, not said* Then he came back with the second portion and the same bill which, as he said, he had to painstakingly remake and separate. Conclusion: The location of the Classic Remise would always receive 5 stars. We will no longer visit the restaurant. The food was good but the staff is mostly so unfriendly and arrogant that you lose your appetite. You get the feeling that if you don't belong to the high class with a fine shirt and fancy dress, you won't be welcomed there.

De slechtste spaghetti die ik in lange tijd gegeten heb! De Spaghetti Pomodore wordt op de kaart omschreven als "tomatensaus, rucola, mozzarella en verse basilicum". Het was veel spaghetti met een klein beetje saus en één verlept blaadje basilicum. Daar bovenop kwam nog de vreselijk onvriendelijke bediening. Een lachje kon er niet vanaf. Iedereen kan een slechte dag hebben, maar als men dan nadien mijn review op Google verwijdert wegens 'laster' en mij blokkeert, dan vind ik dat erg grof. Ik post meestal positieve reviews. Bovendien ben ik zeker niet de enige die dit restaurant zeer slecht beoordeelt en klaagt over de bijzonder onvriendelijke bediening. Wat is er nu moeilijk aan om vriendelijk te zijn? Kennelijk is slechte reviews laten verwijderen van Google gemakkkelijker....

Not an exceptional Italian. The zucchini was too bitter, the rice was too dry, the fish was under-seasoned and too done, and the chicken was over-seasoned. Everything overall a bit too cold. The bread, dip and mushrooms were good. The dessert was way too sweet. BUT the ambience is wonderful, at least for lovers of classic cars. And next time we'll try the pizza. Addendum: Because of the beautiful cars, I also recommended the restaurant. During my own visit, I realized that I would recommend the exhibition to others at any time. BUT Not the restaurant. Such an arrogant restaurateur. There would be no space without a reservation. There was nothing going on and he could have at least offered us something to drink. It was stupid, someone else was happy about our money.

Bij bezoek aan de gratis Classic Remise automuseum (aanrader!) een hapje gegeten bij deze Italiaan. Mijn dochter had de lekkerste pasta die ze ooit had gegeten. En de hamburger (met een spiegelei, spek, augurk etc. en lekkere franse frietjes erbij) was ook echt top, alleen jammer dat er wat ketchup op zat, maar dat is persoonlijke smaak. Prima bediening, aardig en we kregen het eten redelijk snel. En dat voor nog geen 25 euro p.p. inclusief drinken. We gaan zeker nog een keer terugkomen.

An atypical restaurant, with a view of an exceptional Villette sports car showroom. The welcome as well as the meals are of quality I highly recommend if you are in Düsseldorf.

Food came before drinks, which were then forgotten. The taste was quite good but nothing special. Homemade lemonade only tasted like water, so we saved a lot. With this place and atmosphere you can expect better.

Been here for the first time on a recommendation. First of all, the service wasn't that friendly, I would say uninterested. And the restaurant wasn't even half full. Furthermore, after we had already eaten the salad was simply brought without apology with the sentence “oh yes, you still had a salad”. Without apology. We're all human, I understand that, but an apology wouldn't be bad. The service was mediocre to poor. I ordered calamari. Unfortunately you couldn't eat them, they were hard as rubber. Yes... it's a shame... actually... the ambience is nice, but it's a shame that I personally couldn't combine it with a pleasant meal... Maybe this experience will help improve the restaurant, just accept it and think about it... but I'll still try it a second time with you... and of course I'll report that too..

Food was great and our waitress was very polite. Couldnt give this place 5 stars as the manager seems very rude to his staff. More respect should be given to the workers.
