I waited 45 minutes for my food, I don't recommend it

Mezzomar is a typically Italian affair, the food is good, the service is great, very friendly and helpful, the view you can enjoy of the classic cars and the room is indescribable, whether you just drink coffee or sit in a group at the classic car friends Düsseldorf regulars' table, it It's always a real treat, thank you very much for that. An atypical restaurant, with a view of an exceptional Villette sports car showroom. The welcome as well as the meals are of quality I highly recommend if you are in Düsseldorf.

Food came before drinks, which were then forgotten. The taste was quite good but nothing special. Homemade lemonade only tasted like water, so we saved a lot. With this place and atmosphere you can expect better.

Been here for the first time on a recommendation. First of all, the service wasn't that friendly, I would say uninterested. And the restaurant wasn't even half full. Furthermore, after we had already eaten the salad was simply brought without apology with the sentence “oh yes, you still had a salad”. Without apology. We're all human, I understand that, but an apology wouldn't be bad. The service was mediocre to poor. I ordered calamari. Unfortunately you couldn't eat them, they were hard as rubber. Yes... it's a shame... actually... the ambience is nice, but it's a shame that I personally couldn't combine it with a pleasant meal... Maybe this experience will help improve the restaurant, just accept it and think about it... but I'll still try it a second time with you... and of course I'll report that too..

Been here for the first time and was very positively surprised. From starter to dessert, everything was great. Nice ambience and nice Italian service was very authentic for me. Worst spaghetti I've eaten in a long time. Lots of pasta with a little sauce and a wilted basil leaf on top. The waiter couldn't spare a kind word either.

It's a wonderful history of the car that you can admire here. Classic cars that are worth several million euros. Tours of the building with many cars are offered. There is also an Italian restaurant where you can eat very well. The staff is friendly and competent. The prices are very humane despite the special environment. You are surrounded by luxury cars. Unfortunately, I have to say that my visit to the Mezzomar Düsseldorf Classic Remise was anything but pleasant. The food was way overpriced and not at all what you would expect at such prices. The quality was mediocre at best. To make matters worse, the service was a disaster. The waiters were unfriendly and seemed like they didn't enjoy their job. Right from the start we had to wait a long time to even place the order for drinks. You felt really unwanted and were basically thrown out before you could finish your drink in peace. Although the ambience was nice, the rude and disruptive staff made it difficult to enjoy the atmosphere. In summary, one can say that the only thing that made the evening beautiful was our own company. And an absolute highlight is when the boss makes his way outside on his cargo bike and the visitors have to jump out of the way. On top of that, he also likes to ram a door into his guests' feet. Overall, a very disappointing experience that I cannot recommend to anyone. There are definitely better alternatives in the city.

I'm at Mezzomar for the second time. The food here is very tasty!! I would love to come back again.

The restaurant lives in this truly impressive backdrop of the vehicles on display. The historic building is also harmonious. Withstand a temperature of 26 degrees indoors. The outdoor restaurant space offers more fresh air. Italian cuisine, very authentic and the focus is on the original antipasti! Afterwards we had a very good salad on one side, a large, well-topped pizza on the other... both were completely fine. Am I coming back? Yes gladly..!

We were there on Sunday - it was correspondingly full The friendly staff came to us pretty quickly, but also pointed out that today there were only pasta, pizza and salads as main courses and nothing from the grill. So far so good, no problem at first, everyone quickly found what they were looking for. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the ambience. However, we noticed something while eating: the pizzas are very good, large and varied. However, we also had two pasta dishes, both in different variations but both with tomato sauce. One dish tasted homemade, fresh and delicious, but the second dish tasted like it came from a jar. Otherwise we have nothing to complain about!

As it echoes into the forest, it also echoes back. I've been visiting this restaurant for years and have experienced a lot there. And I can't understand some of the reviews. I have often experienced guests who simply walked into the restaurant, sat down somewhere and rudely asked for drinks. So if a waiter reacts a bit moodily, I can understand that. In my opinion, you wait until you are seated or at least ask if you can sit anywhere you want. The guest is king, yes, but you should also behave as a guest. I also had to wait for my bill before, but the restaurant was full. All waiters are friendly and relaxed. I personally really like it because I absolutely don't like sitting stiffly in a restaurant. I really like going there. The wines are great, the lemonades are refreshing and my absolute favorite when it's cold is the fresh ginger tea. The food is great. I really like the pasta dishes. The pizza is a bit too thin for me personally, but tasty. Free parking spaces are available. And the ambience is great, especially for engine lovers.

The two stars are only because of the great ambience. Unfortunately the food was completely disappointing, it has little to do with Italian. The pizza base was completely soggy and not a piece was crispy. And since when does parsley belong on a pizza? And just to justify the high price you make a huge pizza that no normal person can eat? What a waste! I'm happy to pay for a good Italian meal, but Mezzomar is completely overpriced for the quality.

We often go to Mezzomar in the Classic Remise... and are very satisfied with the taste of the food. Unfortunately, the good overall impression is marred by small defects that could easily be remedied: Maybe you would see serving the food about 10-15 minutes after ordering as a positive thing... if the food - here pasta - had been warm to hot throughout. Obviously this food is pre-heated in the microwave. The cook didn't succeed. The pizza is big, but the base is too thin and soggy. A slightly smaller pizza in favor of a slightly more resistant base would be tastier. Therefore only 4 stars... Addendum about 1 year later: Unfortunately nothing has changed... on the contrary. The friendly service takes some getting used to, spaghetti carbonara with inedible chunks of bacon. Pizza as above. It's a shame for the nice atmosphere. We're not coming anymore.

Wir waren seit ca. 1 Jahr wieder im Mezzomare. Leider kann das Restaurant mit dem an sich außergewöhnlichem Ambiente einer Autoausstellung nicht mithalten. Wahrscheinlich existiert es nur noch deswegen. Meine Pizza mit Thunfisch war groß, viel Käse. Da der Boden sehr dünn war, hat der Belag den Boden aufgeweicht. Die Mitte war nur ein Matsch aus Boden und Belag. Etwas kleiner und dafür ein essbarer Pizzaboden wäre mehr...

As part of a father-son afternoon in the Classic Remise, We had a really delicious meal at Mezzomar. The atmosphere is totally cozy. The waiters are attentive and friendly. The portions, be it the starters or the main courses, are sufficient and quite large. Really great there. If I had known beforehand how big the portions were, we would have saved the starter. Luckily we ordered them anyway, just a dream. Everything is freshly prepared and served in a visually appealing manner. A clear recommendation from us. The waiters are nice and friendly, we immediately started talking to each other about the great cars. We really felt comfortable there for the 2 hours. Clear recommendation.

It was supposed to be a cozy evening for four people. Look at cars first. It turned into a perfect evening. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. The Mezzomar Burger was awesome. I like a certain spiciness when I eat. The burger nailed it. My partner had the cod (dish of the day). This one was also perfect. The icing on the cake was the service. Super friendly, always attentive and on point. Everything was very clean and well maintained, including the toilets. All in all, a really perfect evening!

Amazing food and inside the amazing old train storage, totaly rebuild and filled with cars from old classics to excotic hyper cars. The food is amazing midterainian with very nice drinks and even 4 beers on tap, higly recommended

So first of all it's a very nice restaurant. I've become very curious, but what seems mysterious to me is that when customers give a bad review, they always respond with the same answer that 30-40 people showed up. VERY FUNNY ! Unfortunately, I won't be visiting your shop, it's enough if customers complain and the waiter with the long hair and beard is mentioned again and again. As the managing director, I would think about it. Wish you much success and all the best.

Once again in a very nice atmosphere, we ate three courses very, very tasty.

This review is my personal impression. Of course we all know why we come here. Because of the carts. The restaurant is definitely in the perfect location. Because you just go and eat something when you're there. When do you sit between Ferrari and Co. while eating? The restaurant itself is also really beautifully designed. Unfortunately the service wasn't that attentive. He probably walked past our empty glasses 10 times. We had to speak to them ourselves. The place wasn't particularly full. He wasn't stressed. But the food was really good. There's nothing to complain about. The drink prices are completely crazy everywhere. Unfortunately here too. 6 euros for a cola? Unfortunately the air wasn't that good. But exhaust fumes and pizza are justifiable given the scenery. But I'll definitely be back. It's just really successful with the cars and the ambience.

The food is quite good, but the ambience is really impressive! How you can sit “outside” even though you’re actually sitting inside. See the cool cars while eating and just a really great facility. I'm really excited about the "outlook" and am already looking forward to the next time!

Imagine five guests sitting down in this restaurant and being greeted by a tall, long-haired waiter with the unfriendly words: “Do you know those customers who always sit at the tables where there are still dirty dishes?” Annoyed Face included. When we replied that all the other tables were reserved, he replied, “Well, this one too.” Only there was no “Reserved” sign on the table. “Besides, the kitchen is closed for two hours anyway,” was added harshly. Actually, we would have liked to at least have something to drink and treat the child to an ice cream, but with this tone we lost the desire to do so. I certainly won't recommend the restaurant in the Classic Remise to friends and customers. Just pathetic, that kind of behavior. I recommend that the waiter take a course in customer relations or psychotherapy.

Bedienung wirkt bemüht. Die Pizza war "halbgar" - der Boden durchnässt. Der Inhaber/ Chef wirkt extrem "muffig" und unhöflich. Espresso war gut, aber schon kalt. Keine Empfehlung....

We had a customer event on the upper floor of the Mezzomar today (incl. a reception, a guided tour through the facility and a dinner buffet). Everybody had a really good time. Oliver and his team did a fantastic job! Highly recommended.

By chance we discovered this restaurant in Düsseldorf-Oberbilk today. This restaurant, with its great atmosphere, cannot be rated highly enough. The food is fantastic. Delicious! Unfassbar Schlecht! Essen bestellt. Nach 6 Minuten kammen völlig versalzene Scampis ohne alles und völlig verpfeferte Carbonara mir schwarzen Speck. Nach Reklamation kamen die selben Scampis 5 min später wieder, nur diesmal in Öl ertränkt und die selben Carbonara, nur diesmal mit Sahne übergossen und den schwarzen Speck noch schwärzer gebraten. Das Restaurant hatte nicht einmal die Größe zwei nichtalkoholische Getränke zu übernehmen. Fazit: Italien existiert wohl nur in Form der Ferraris im Classic Remise vor dem Mezzomar. Wohl nur ein Restaurant für touristische Sehleute im Classic Remise

Good food, unfortunately a bit expensive

Leider muss ich sagen, dass ich enttäuscht worden bin von dem Restaurant. Ich bin zusammen mit Bekannten zunächst im Classic Remise gewesen, woraufhin wir uns noch etwas im Restaurant hinsetzten wollten. Dort haben wir uns dann aufgrund des geringen Aufkommens die Plätze selber zugeteilt. Der Servicemitarbeiter beschwerte sich dann, weshalb wir denn so viele seien und ob wir vorher reserviert hätten. Wir hatten nicht reserviert, aber über Kundschaft freut man sich ja trotzdem, wenn man Geld verdienen möchte. Den weiteren Verlauf gab es immer wieder unnötige Kommentare des Kellners, weshalb einige meiner Bekannten auch das Restaurant vorzeitig verlassen haben. Man hatte beim bestellen auch nicht das Gefühl, dass der Kellner an einem interessiert ist. Ich hatte meine Bestellung noch nicht ganz fertig, worauf hin er schon weiter gegangen ist. Resultat, meine Bestellung war nur zur Hälfte richtig. Leider also echt schade, da ich glaube, das Restaurant hätte bei einem anderen Kellner bzw. anderem kundenfreundlichen Service die Möglichkeit, mehr Sterne und mehr positive Bewertungen zu bekommen. Positiv für mich lässt sich schlussendlich noch sagen, dass hier nicht nur normale Milch angeboten wird, sondern auch laktosefreie Milch, sowie die Möglichkeit seinen Kaffee entkoffeiniert zu genießen.

Bad service and unfriendly staff! While other guests were allowed to sit down, we were left standing. Afterwards, other guests who came in after us were served and we were left waiting again. It was worth it for the beautiful cars, but I can't recommend the restaurant.

We had dinner in this lovely restaurant a few days ago. It was well attended and about half full. We previously reserved a table online. We waited at the entrance to the restaurant and were shown to one of the tables quite rudely by an employee. The order itself and the food were great. Both pizza and burgers were super tasty. The cocktails we ordered were also very well mixed. The ambience is unbeatable both in the restaurant and when looking into the Classic Remise. After the food had been eaten and the glasses were almost empty, an excited employee came to us and asked if we could move around quickly because the table was now reserved. We were initially confused because we were sent to this table by this employee. However, the move wasn't a problem for us and the new place was nice too. Only the service suddenly deteriorated from that moment on. The employee responsible for the table walked past us dozens of times and didn't respond to us when we wanted to order something. However, there seemed to be enough time for conversations with regular guests. After about 40 minutes we were in a bad mood and asked for the bill. This took another 30 minutes to arrive. When we left the restaurant, the table we first sat at wasn't occupied yet... Summary: Fantastic atmosphere, great food, unfortunately service was a disaster.

Loveless from the staff to the food. We were there with several people and no one really enjoyed it. Simply loveless🤷🏼‍♀️reminds of Vapiano... once and never again. Sorry, there is room for improvement.

In my opinion, the restaurant overall would be a 3-4 in school grades. The ambience and food are okay, but the service is as impersonal as one would expect from restaurants that are limited to passing traffic and not to attracting regular customers. It's a shame - given this exclusive location, which may have spoiled the operator a bit. My tip: more heart, more smiles and a little more personal and authentic friendliness to the customer, who should leave money, recommend it and come back.

Nice set up for watching many cars of different ages and get them serviced too if you need. Link oks like a museum for cars with free access. Definitely worth visiting once you're in Düsseldorf

Nice location, but unfortunately little warmth and service. With very little business, it wasn't even possible to leave out the ham on a ham and mushroom pizza. Unfortunately, this was also communicated in a very condescending manner. It was probably not possible to ask every now and then whether we would like another drink. There is simply not enough hospitality to make you feel comfortable. The quality of the food was mixed. Pizza was pretty tasteless, the burger was good, but unfortunately the gnocchi also lacked seasoning. You can certainly ignore it if at least the service was good. In particular, the older colleague without hair doesn't seem to particularly like guests. Ultimately, there is no shortage of good restaurants and beautiful locations in Düsseldorf and so there are plenty of alternatives where you would like to spend your money.
