Arlecchino in Düsseldorf

It shouldn't be allowed that mice are running around! Yesterday Sunday evening we were sitting at the table inside with a view of the bar and oven and suddenly a small rat ran from the top of the oven down the decorative rack to the floor. My daughter and I were so scared and told them straight away. We all looked but couldn't find the rat. Actually that is bad enough but everything was bad. The pizza wasn't tasty, it wasn't cooked well. And neither was the vegetable pasta bake. There was salt missing everywhere I asked for, and I added more salt, but where are the Italian spices?? Nowhere! Neither on the pizza nor in the casserole. I asked for them too, but the waiter didn't understand that I wanted them! The broccoli smelled of gas, I know that sounds strange but it was true. I reluctantly tried it several times and the broccoli had a chemical taste. The cheese tasted very strange to both of us, too! And it was so cold in the restaurant.. the door was open the whole time.. it may be that they want to attract customers but what's the point if you can't sit comfortably as a customer. Everything was dirty, the walls, the bars and who knows if mice aren't always there and even live on the oven.. the toilets stank really bad. And despite all the disgusting things that happened right in front of our eyes and noses.. the waiters didn't take a single euro off the bill! I can't understand or believe that. I had to pay €37 (1 pizza, 1 pasta dish without meat, 3 drinks) for this incredibly disgusting thing and they weren't even sympathetic.. they said they were just employees.. I was so annoyed that I'm definitely going to contact the public order office! To the owner: If you don't take care of the store yourself, let everything get dirty, and your employees aren't even allowed to satisfy the customers because they're afraid of you, then you should now have to deal with the city and the regulatory agency. Hopefully, they'll close it down soon!

Very good location, cozy atmosphere. Opportunities available to sit outside. The pasta dishes were delicious. The service......well. Inattentive, at least to the guests in the restaurant. You always had to look after the waitress and give signals to draw attention to yourself. There were more staff standing outside the door, smoking and flirting or whatever they were doing with the young ladies. Let's see what happens next time.

Yesterday I and my girlfriend ate at Arlecchino for the third time. We are always amazed at how exceptionally hospitable we are received. No matter how full it is, the tables are pushed and moved so that we have always been able to get a seat. We immediately liked the family atmosphere and warmth. No matter what we have tried so far, it has always been fresh and delicious. We especially love the tiramisu, which is prepared personally by the chefs. The dessert is really worth a sin. When we are in Düsseldorf, it has now become a given that we enjoy the delicious food here and are always as happy as if we were visiting our family. The bosses have an open ear for everyone, sit down with the guests and make sure that you feel completely comfortable. If you want to feel a little like you're on vacation in Italy, you should definitely come here. You won't regret it. The three of us look forward to seeing you again, Hanni, Hannah and Marion

2024: Dough as thin as paper, pizza as small as a breakfast plate and the toppings have become fewer. Better take a 10er in your hand and get one somewhere else because it's worth the money, It's a shame she used to be really good! 2019: Best price of all in the old town!

I’ve been to many pizza places, also in Italy but this one is especially great! It’s honestly just good and authentic Italian pizza. Whenever I visit the Altstadt of Düsseldorf, this is where I get my pizza. Good value for money as well and especially nice staff! Highly recommend this place

Good location! Very, very, delicious wssen! The men's toilet didn't work very well, it took a little longer for the food to arrive and payment is only possible in cash. Therefore 1 star deducted. I think that's fair.

We ate the takeaway pizza at the bar tables there. Even though salami is naturally fatty, the oil floated on the pizza. It fits the old one, but I don't get pizza there anymore.

Today we spontaneously went to the restaurant after the Fortuna game and were warmly welcomed by the service staff. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The food came quickly and was simply delicious - the pasta was cooked perfectly. We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back. A real highlight in the old town! Oh yes, of course the lemonchillo schnapps round shouldn't be missed either.🙃 I would like to thank the staff very much for that.

The best thing here are the pizzas for seven euros to take away. All in all OK. We happened to be sitting inside. Here the pizzas cost around €14.

The pizza wasn't really tasty. It was in the oven far too short, the toppings looked strange and the edge was not cooked through and was simply inedible. It's better to go to the pizzerias that you remember from the past and are in the direction of the subway.

Small Italian trattoria in the old town of Düsseldorf. The ambience is in traditional Italian style. There is a large selection of Italian dishes. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

I'm here regularly. ToGo or to eat there. Very tasty pizza from the wood oven. Service friendly, atmosphere nice. Prices at the normal old town rate. There's nothing to complain about. Solid number.

Waiters were unfriendly. We ordered 2 pizzas, one came much earlier than the other. One of the pizzas had spices and was sliced, the other was unfortunately missing both. Unfortunately, unlike the other tables, we weren't offered garlic or spicy either. If you want to pay by card, you have to go in separately and this is only possible from €20. About the pizza itself: Very bad dough with a floury taste and a very strange, cheap-tasting cheese mixture. Ham was low quality. Even though the price wasn't right here, the waiter still boldly asked for a tip. Unfortunately not worth recommending.

During my last visit to Arlecchino on Andreasstrasse, I was once again amazed by the lively atmosphere and warm hospitality that characterizes this restaurant. The decor is colorful and inviting, and the staff greets each guest with a smile that immediately makes you feel welcome1. The menu is a treasure trove of traditional Italian cuisine, each meal prepared with fresh ingredients and served with a touch of love. I chose a pizza that was crispy, hot and had just the right amount of toppings - a real treat for any lover of Italian cuisine. The red wine I chose with it was also excellent and went perfectly with my dish. The restaurant offers an authentic culinary experience that reminded me of my travels to Italy. Despite the price adjustments that are being felt everywhere, the Arlecchino continues to offer excellent value for money. A small point of criticism is the toilets, which are clean but a bit cramped, and the music selection, which is a bit too nostalgic for my taste. Overall, Arlecchino is a place that I like to return to again and again, be it for a leisurely lunch or a long dinner. It is a piece of Italy in the middle of Düsseldorf that I can recommend to anyone looking for authentic and warm Italian hospitality

Been there during the EM era. We sat at a table outside for 50 minutes and didn't even speak to a waitress. They constantly came out with empty hands and only collected empty glasses. In addition, the rain cover didn't extend over the tables, so one of my legs got completely wet. You have to have the capacity to serve everyone, even when the store is full. Other tables also waited a very long time and when someone spoke to a waiter they didn't have time. The only good thing in the 50 minutes was the view of the screen and a pretty Ukrainian woman, who unfortunately I will never see again. After the 50 minutes we went to Burgie King and ate our food 5 minutes after entering the store.

Was there yesterday with my girlfriend. The food is really tasty for the price and reasonable. The price of the drinks is a first point of criticism as you only get 0.25ml for €3.20. The menu was in the form of a cling film and the candle on our table was out and not lit. As far as the ambience is concerned, music was missing and the toilets ruined the feeling of well-being (graffiti and sinks that were too small). Conclusion: Would go there again but the visitor shouldn't expect too much. You just get so full and the location is beautiful.

For me it was a very good pizzeria. What is being served now is not worth the money. Lasagna was just a pile of noodles drowned in fat and cold when first "served" and had never seen the inside of the oven. Table was totally sticky and dirty. The waitresses shout at each other. Too bad, that was it for us there.

It was once the favorite pizzeria in Düsseldorf, but due to the careless preparation of the food lately, I will no longer visit it. The first bad experience involved a pizza with seafood that felt like it was floating in the water and wasn't cooked through. Today was the second time, pizza quality generally got even worse. The pizza dough was bad, tasteless and cheese mixture of strange quality was unevenly distributed... It was definitely my last time here. Next time we'll eat somewhere else, very disappointed.

Stick with it while baking. Brandenburgers are secretly packed here. Very unfortunate. In addition, the coordination among the staff does not seem to be right, which has a strong impact on the mood. 7€ is also well invested elsewhere.

We ate Margarita, Risotto & Carbonara but the tastes not even close. Waiters were nice to us and the place was clean but the foods are not like italian.

So I can't understand the good reviews... Service = unfriendly & stressed. You should always be careful what you say. I speak several languages, including the language of the waitress... how the customers are mocked is the bottom drawer. The food is just slapped onto the plate, super careless... resembles prison food... What is served is not what is described on the menu. The customer wants the meat well done, the meat comes out bloody. Potatoes still hard & not cooked soft, just to get excited. The starter came exactly after 50 minutes and the main course only came when spoken to. Here too we lost our appetite because everyone had their food on the table late. While some had already finished eating, others still had to wait for their food. Conclusion = We are very disappointed.... Price performance is not right at all, we moved on as frustrated & annoyed, hungry mouths in order to eat something sensible. Can't recommend it in any way, you're just paying to get upset and waste time.

We actually ended up here by chance because we couldn't immediately find the pizzeria we wanted to go to. We ordered pizza and it was really tasty! Nice thin dough, well topped and baked in a stone oven. It's worth driving from Bonn to Düsseldorf! 👍🏻 But not only was the pizza fantastic, the staff was also very nice and accommodating! We will be back!

Very careless preparation of the food. The pizza, if you can call it that, was brought to the table unfinished. I observed that at least 3 customers sent their pizza back to be remade. I don't want to exaggerate and I'm sorry to have to say such harsh words, but I've had better frozen pizzas than what I got here. I guess that the good reviews come from the previous operators, otherwise I can't explain it. What is served to customers there is an insult to Italian cuisine.

If I can put a zero star i would have done that !! Worst restaurant zero customer service I waited 30 minutes to get attended and more than 40 minutes for my food to arrive and waiters dont even respond when you call them they are all so rude and arrogant! People who came after me got their food way before me. Only Sulaiman was the decent guy in this entire restaurant and he tried to attend to my order in a good manner. Dont even think of dining here

Food was ok - but never experienced such bad service! The waiter was really incompetent and tried to blame us twice for an order he had taken incorrectly. It doesn't work at all. The waiters represent the restaurant and for us a reason not to come back again.

Knapp ein Jahr nach meiner letzten nicht so guten Bewertung gehe ich wieder gerne Arlecchino. Es ist Zeit für eine Aktualisierung, denn die Qualität hat sich stark verbessert. Am Holzofen steht wieder ein Pizzabäcker, der es drauf hat: Dünner, knuspriger, schmackhafter Teig, der trotz üppiger Belegung nicht matschig weich wird. So muss eine gute italienische Pizza sein! Auch der Rotwein schmeckt mir besser als noch vor einem Jahr. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Da komme ich trotz der (wie fast überall) heftig angehobenen Preise gerne öfter. Punktabzug gibt es für die zwar sauberen, aber sehr engen und unkomfortablen Toiletten. Und für die für meinen Geschmack zu niveaulose Musikbeschallung mit ollen überwiegend italienischen Kamellen, die jeder kennt.

Heerlijk gegeten met het gezin na een lange dag kerstmarkt. Goede pizza’s, lasagna en spaghetti. Bediening was vriendelijk. Eten werd snel en gelijktijdig opgediend. Inderdaad contant afrekenen maar dat lijkt wel trendy in heel Dusseldorf.

Wenn wir in Düsseldorf sind gehen wir immer dort hin. Meistens essen wir die Pizza im stehen. Immer super belegt und lecker. Ist halt noch eine echte italienische Pizzeria das schmeckt man.

Erg slechte service. Kregen onze gerechten na 45 min wachten, waarbij een iemand het verkeerde gerecht kreeg en een ander heeft 15 minuten langer moest wachten voordat ze het gerecht kregen. De bediening leek dit niet erg te vinden. Simpelweg een commerciële zaak voor een snelle hap.

Ich war noch nie so dermaßen von einer Pizza enttäuscht. Ich weiß nicht wie man zwei Pizzen so krass falsch machen kann... Also schon alleine als wir den Laden betreten haben und ich als italiener mit einem deutlichen "Buona sera" eintrat und nicht wahrgenommen wurde war schon die Überlegung da, wieder umzukehren. Nun ja, wir nahmen in der hintersten Ecke an einem freien Tisch Platz. Ziemlich schnell nahm uns dann der Kellner mit den Worten "es gibt nur Pizza" in Empfang. (2min später bestellte jedoch der Nebentisch zwei Salate und Nudelgerichte...) Egal, Wir bestellten zwei Pizzen von der Spezial Speisekarte. Eine Pizza Caprese und eine Pizza Pere (Birne) Wie es sich in einer Original italienischen Pizzeria gehört, nahmen wir auch zwei Birre Peroni. Relativ zeitnah kam dann auch unsere Bestellung. Caprese ( Abgebratene Aubergine mit scharfer Salami und Rucola) desweiteren wurde hier anschließend warum auch immer noch Tüten- Parmesan drüber gestreut. Pizza Pere ( regulär Birnen Ecken auf einem Bett von Ricotta und Honig) Die Salamischeiben der Caprese waren so trocken gebacken das sie schon Knusprig waren, die Auberginen Scheiben hingegen mussten scheinbar im Öl ertränkt worden sein und dann ohne vorher eine Pfanne gesehen zu haben, gleich auf die Pizza gekommen. Die Pizza Pere war leider auch eine Beleidigung an den Erfinder. Die Pizza Margherita als Basis mit Überhäufung von geriebenen Gouda, ein paar Gorgonzola Stücke die sich drauf verirrt hatten und sieben dünnen Birnen scheibchen, die mit der Aufschnitt Maschine geschnitten wurden... Waren auch nicht das wahre... Wir aßen die Pizzen zu Hälfte auf weil wir Hunger hatten aber lecker ist anders. Schade das man auch noch richtig Asche dafür ausgelegt hat. Für knappe 40€ darf man ruhig was erwarten.. naja. Als der Kellner dann abräumte und fragte ob wir den Rest mitnehmen möchten, verneinte wir und ich bestellte auf italienisch die Rechnung. Schlagartig wurde die Musik von Adriano Celentano, die durch die Lautsprecher ertönte, leiser. Ich zahlte und fragte mich was dieser Laden überhaupt noch mit italienischer Küche zu tun hat? Als ich dann beim Verlassen des Ladens an der Pizza Theke vorbeikam, fragte ich mit letzter Hoffnung den Pizzabäcker ob er denn italienisch spricht, dieser schüttelte nur den Kopf. SCHADE!!! Ich, dessen Eltern 31 Jahre lang erfolgreich eine Pizzeria führten, war wirklich noch NIE so enttäuscht von einer Pizza. Mir hat es echt die Laune verdorben. Hängt BITTE die Italienische Fahnen ab und präsentiert euch nicht mit "original italienischer Küche" mit unseren schönen Farben!!! Stefano

We were drawn in by the wood fire pizza oven and the experience did not disappoint! Delicious carbonara, pizzas, and the house red was lovely too. Friendly staff, a warm greeting at the door and a comfortable atmosphere. The place was packed so clearly others agree that it’s worth a visit!
