Unfortunately, that was my last time there... Prices are rising, but the quality is declining. The staff didn't seem to enjoy their jobs very much. No "please," no "thank you." The food was shoved onto the table without a word, like in a cafeteria. No one even asked if we enjoyed our meal when clearing the table. Presumably, they know what they're serving. The pasta, unlike before, was rather tasteless and hard instead of al dente. It's a shame that restaurants like this always go downhill when things seem to be going too well for them.

We used to enjoy coming here, but unfortunately, things have gone downhill considerably lately. On our last visit, we had to wait a long time before we were even helped. The waiter—an older Italian man—ignored us several times and was rude. I never expected that here. To our surprise, when we paid, there were extra items on the bill that we hadn't ordered. That was the last straw. It's a shame, but for us, this is reason enough not to return.

The reviews are spot on. We were charged €11 for two teas (listed at €3.90 on the menu). When we commented that we thought that was expensive for two teas, she increased the price to €10. She then asked if we knew how much the water cost. She then told us again that the menu listed it at €3.90. But we were completely ignored. As you can read in the reviews, it seems like Dutch people are not welcome!

There is a rude man that says that they had any english menu, is there possible in this era ?? And get anger with my kids for dropping water !!! Shame of him never go there

Unfriendly waitress, as several have noted. The restaurant would do well to distance itself from this woman. The icing on the cake is that she gives herself a 20% tip on top of the bill. Absolutely not recommended, once and never again!

The best times are over! Up until now, we've always been very satisfied with the food. We tried to ignore the fact that the ambiance is slowly deteriorating. Bruschetta was always a must for us here. Today, however, we were truly appalled. We ordered a bottle of water. The glass was broken at the bottom, with lipstick on the rim. The glass was returned, already filled, and a clean, empty glass was sent back. When we went to pay, we were expected to pay for the bottle in full, which cost almost €9 (!!!). Only after asking did they deduct €2. We also ordered two glasses of Lugana, which didn't taste like usual. We sent it back because the bottle had apparently been freshly opened, and according to the bartender, it tasted normal. So, we decided against wine this time. Then came our beloved bruschetta... The cheapest white bread instead of the usual delicious bread, the tomatoes were mediocre, there was a hint of arugula, and the olives were completely missing, which are usually generous. Three slices of cheap bread, all completely lacking in charm, for almost €17. Ah... Well, and then there's the completely run-down atmosphere. Outside, all the leather stools are worn out, and the cake display, which used to look nice and beautifully decorated, now just looks neglected and out of place. Inside, the upholstery is also cracked, some of the glasses are broken, and the restrooms aren't clean. There's absolutely no sign of any care or dedication to the restaurant or its customers. As the owner and restaurateur, I would be ashamed. After all these years, today was our last visit. What a shame!

Four of us ate here, three of whom were very satisfied (fish dishes), but the Pimsa wasn't so tasty (too cold, not well-filled). The service could also be improved. Two drinks weren't brought despite reminders, but they appeared on the bill. The bill was promptly corrected after we complained. Despite these shortcomings, we will be back again.

This time I only wanted a cappuccino. It took about 10 minutes before anyone even came. After another 10 minutes, a small cup arrived, lukewarm, but with more than half the foam. When I paid, I was told €4.50, then, oh no, €4.80. I like to pay for quality, and this product was far from that. Two sips of lukewarm liquid, the rest of the foam was lukewarm. The service seemed beyond bored and unmotivated. I used to enjoy eating there, but from now on, I've forgotten about the restaurant.

We come regularly. For many years. I can't judge the "real" main courses. But I can judge the coffee, pasta, salad, sandwiches, and dolce! Everything is always perfect. Delicious and good. 👍🏻 Service is mostly very friendly and good. 😊

I ordered pasta with truffles for my main course for €28 and received a mini portion. It was the size of an appetizer and tasteless. The pasta wasn't cooked properly. There was so little pasta that there was leftover sauce at the end. To me, that's cheap in the wrong place. Pasta certainly doesn't cost the earth to buy. I won't be back and I don't recommend the restaurant.

The service was very attentive and polite. Nothing to complain about. The food was also very good! We didn't have to wait long for either our drinks or our food.

I experienced the worst service I've ever experienced in Düsseldorf here. We just waited 20 minutes for the menu and asked four or five times, but no one cared. We tried very hard to spend €50 here, but we couldn't. I would never recommend this restaurant.

To be honest, I thought about posting this for a long time, but it still bothers me, especially since I just cooked a REAL salsiccia pasta. After I pointed out that the sausage pieces were ice cold and why it was even served in pieces, all I got was a dismissive wave of the hand and the comment that that's just how it's done in Italy ^^ (I go there regularly and it's my favorite pasta ❤️‍🔥🤌🏽. It's not done that way ANYWHERE). After my comment, the pasta went back (I specifically checked the clock to make sure it was really freshly made) and, whoosh, after 7 minutes, the "fresh" new version was back on the table. This time the sausage was warm, but almost black and rock hard. I have no idea what's going on in the kitchen, but it seems to be a challenge to serve a proper, smashed, and especially deveined version instead of pre-cooked sausage that's been warmed up cold. A lack of enthusiasm seems to have set in there 🙈 Unfortunately, it has little to do with the dolce vita and Italian taste. Besides... Pasta with tomato sauce costs ~€7 less, and then ONE cut-up, cold sausage?! 🤯🙈 This pasta was a delicacy for Italian cooking, and all your nuns are tempted to spit out.

La Borsa – a piece of Italy in the heart of Düsseldorf! 🇮🇹🍷 La Borsa impressed me across the board. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the ambiance stylish – perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or a romantic dinner. The Italian cuisine here is simply fantastic! The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces were full of flavor, and the pizza was crispy, fresh, and wonderfully topped. The crowning glory: the tiramisu – an absolute delight! The service at La Borsa is first-class – the staff is attentive, warm, and always strives to provide guests with a great experience. A visit to La Borsa is definitely worth it. For me, it's one of the best places for Italian food in Düsseldorf! 🍝✨

You can definitely feel the cozy Italian atmosphere. We were only a little hungry, so we only ate a little. Our tuna salad panini tasted very good and was plentiful. The prices are on the high side, but that's to be expected in this central city location. The buffet staff were friendly. Everything was freshly prepared, and that just took its time. Definitely recommended during a day of shopping, just be aware that you'll be sitting close together inside.

The restaurant La BORSA Cucina is located in the Schadow-Arkaden in Düsseldorf. The Italian restaurant is worth a visit. The food is very tasty and the service is attentive. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. The ambience is nice. We like to visit this restaurant before the performance in the "Theater an der kö", as you can then go straight to the theater through the arcades. The entrance/exit to the parking garage can also be reached through the Schadow arcades, so there are no footpaths. The restaurant also has a large outdoor area.

Great authentic Italian food. Best Spaghetti Carbonara. Doesn't get any better.

We were guests at “La Borsa” last Thursday. the food was simply fantastic - fresh, lovingly prepared and full of flavor. The service is particularly noteworthy: humorous, warm and always attentive. We immediately felt welcome and completely comfortable. We would definitely like to come back!

Went here for lunch on Friday and sat outside. Ceasar's salad with salmon fillet on request was tasty, the Pinsa Tonno had plenty of toppings and tasted good. Creme Brulee was well made, nicely decorated, but a bit low for €9.90. The service was friendly, even though it was busy, everything came quickly.

The three of us spontaneously ended up at the Schadow Akarden to eat. We were a little pressed for time because we wanted to go to the theater at 8 p.m. We were greeted very nicely and were assured that we would get our food quickly if we ordered. The food was delicious, but the waiter was extremely unfriendly and rude! I had ordered bruschetta without cheese, but it came to the table with extremely fine parmesan on the entire topping. When I asked the waiter about it, he condescendingly said that I could down it. No apology or other effort. It doesn't work at all.

The restaurant had its heyday. Basically, the staff is very nice, but still slightly un-relaxed. Our drinks came after the main course. I had never experienced that in my life. Two other couples at the next tables complained about the poor service. There is water damage on the 1st floor. The prices are too high for the location as an extension of a shopping center. Overall, the whole store is getting a bit old and the restaurants in the immediate vicinity have noticeably damaged its popularity. Plus, they should get pizza again! offer instead of Pinsa…

Always very good food, always worth a visit!

I eat there regularly, yesterday it was a disappointment. It was very cold in the restaurant and it smelled extremely like cooking. According to information, both are due to austerity measures. Too bad.

If you, as a foreigner, want to eat something here, it is not recommended! Upon entering we were received unfriendly by a female waitress. The male colleague was kind enough to help us and ensured that we got a seat in the restaurant. Which was pretty empty. When the female waitress took our order, we were immediately told that we only had 5 minutes to choose what we wanted to eat. She indicated that we only had 45 minutes to eat. After this other guests would arrive. In other words; SALTY UP!! I've thought about staying put. But the atmosphere did not improve. It made even her male colleague uncomfortable. We decided to leave, we thanked the male colleague after which he apologized for his female colleague…. We could see that he was ashamed of her behavior.

Unfortunately we were unlucky! Certainly you can eat good food, maybe pasta, salads. But the meat was dry & fatty. We expected a small gesture. No reaction at all and no feedback either. By service I mean something different.

After a shopping marathon you will still find enough space here on Friday evening. We had previously tried next door at Heimwerk and Wilma Wunder: no chance, completely booked. So good luck. We both decided on the weekly menu: the pinsa with salmon and spinach and pasta with wild boar goulash. It was tasty, service was ok too.

The lively atmosphere in the Shadow Arkaden and this Italian restaurant are simply an institution in the middle of Düsseldorf. We spontaneously decided to have lunch, yes we were from Cologne, and as always it was delicious and authentically Italian. The service lady was super attentive and quick and the food was simply delicious. Whether it's lunch or dinner, you'll get excellent food here. An absolute must after a shopping trip 👍🏻

Well, we drink coffee there every now and then. But we spontaneously had a meal there not long ago and were very disappointed. I can cook better. I ordered “pasta” with tuna for myself and something else for my daughter, also spaghetti or pasta. Both were simply much worse and inedible than you would expect from a restaurant. I can really cook better and I'm not even a professional chef. But the shop is good for drinks.

Probably the worst lasagne of my life + unfriendly waiter. The only good thing is the location.

I won't eat here anymore. As a Düsseldorf resident, I have been here several times. Now there is no longer pizza, these were really good, but Pinsa. I had the vegetarian pinsa, which was so hard and tasted bland, the service was also very slow even though there was nothing going on. Really a shame.

Walked past this business during a day in Dusseldorf. The atmosphere was good. We were warmly welcomed by a staff member who welcomed us. We received a loose-leaf menu on an A-4 holder with the drinks and menu on it. We opted for beers because the wines turned out to be expensive. At the same time we ordered a pike-perch fillet and a sea bream fillet. Both dishes were served quickly with fried potatoes and mixed vegetables. The pike-perch fillet also came with a sauce with pickled lemon. Sanitary facilities are prime, on the first floor.

Totally bad reception, all the cellars were unfriendly and hardly paid any attention to us. We ordered from three waiters and only received our food and drink after 30 minutes. The guests who came after us have already received everything they ordered, we still haven't. Then we wanted to pay and were held up by the waiters for 10 minutes before finally being told “if you don’t understand.” Apologies for understanding if you don't have any friendliness or appreciation for your customers. I will never enter this store again.

We just had a drink here! I can't rate the food! We found it a bit strange that we ordered two Aperols, then got a normal and a small Aperol! At the same price! The small one came from the "ice cream container" outside and the big one came from inside the restaurant! That was a bit stupid of the staff and also cheeky! We felt betrayed.

Unfortunately, I can't really recommend this restaurant: The bread that was served at the beginning was dry (from the day before?) and without any dip other than vinegar and oil. Then the main courses (we didn't have starters) were brought about 2 minutes after the aperitifs (we hadn't even eaten the bread yet). When we politely asked to be served a little later, the waitress said it was our mistake. She taught us to tell us in advance if we didn't want the main course right away. It seemed strange to me that freshly (?) prepared dishes (three different ones) should be ready within 5 minutes of ordering. The food was then taken away and served again shortly afterwards, but not kept warm. The waitress - otherwise very friendly - said she didn't want to talk to me about the service. The food was still quite tasty, so the overall experience can be rated as satisfactory.

The staff is terrible, the mood is spoiled, I will never come back here again and I do not recommend it to others. I was scolded, the female waiter used obscene language because we did not warn to cut the pizza, and asked to do it when it was already brought. We were approached by 3 waiters during the evening and all of them were rude, impudent, unfriendly. I have never met such terrible service!!!

Have been a guest several times, the food was always very good, both patisserie and brasserie. Prices are just normal in Düsseldorf, we always receive friendly service and would be happy to come back! Ambiance is good with a bit of through traffic in the arcades, but that's just how it is.

It was really great that we got a table on a Friday evening without a reservation. The service was simply great, and we also enjoyed the food.

A bit pricey, but it's a good spot to watch the passers or read a book. It's an Italian restaurant. You also eat focaccia, drink a beer or order a coffee. I ordered my favourite German beer Erdinger for 5.5€.

The food can improve The risotto was better than the meat with gnochi, the truth is that it was not made with donkey and sage, it had a cream that is not to my taste. The meat was more of a stew. I wouldn't repeat.

Went here for lunch yesterday. What incredibly bad staff, unfriendly even to the point of being brutal. Had to ask up to 4 times to be "allowed" to pay, if it had not been 5 times I would have been so late to see what had happened. The food is good, the staff had to chase them away "en bloc".

Food and drinks = TOP, Düsseldorf prices, the service could be a little more attentive, you can pay something for the toilet - but you don't have to.

Not sure I would call this an Italian restaurant, it is Italian dishes served with a German recipe 😜 Neither pizza nor pasta are super! I ended up a couple of times here because of business lunches but either pasta is overcooked or pizza very flat 😃 A disclaimer: I am not Italian and make the difference!

Sehr schlimme Kellner. Es gibt kein guten Service und erwarten dann Trinkgeld. Wenn keins gegeben wird, wird das Wechselgeld und die Rechnung zu einem geworfen und sie hauen ab. Gibt deutlich bessere Restaurants mit besserer Lage und essen in Düsseldorf. Wenn ihr so sehr auf das Trinkgeld angewiesen seid, sucht euch ein anderen Job 😂

Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wein und Essen waren super. Die Toilette war sauber und man musste kein Geld bezahlen, wie es jemand in seiner Rezension geschrieben hat.

We gingen op het terras zitten zonder informatie. De hostess kwam in de deuropening staan en schreeuwde niet zo vriendelijk (Lees: Als een bezetene) dat nieuwe gasten:"NIET OP HET TERRAS GEHOLPEN ZOUDEN WORDEN". Nergens voor nodig, had ook gewoon gezegd kunnen worden óf beter vermeld.

Always went to this place when I was in Düsseldorf, but last time the attitude of the staff was truly unacceptable. A blond woman who serves the tables on a terrace literally asked me and my parter to change tables because “she doesn’t have a lot of big tables available to other clients”. We had bags and a tiny Pomeranian pup who is only 6 month old. When I said that we actually need 2 extra chairs to sit a pup and the bags, she said that we can leave those on the ground. Dogs are not allowed on the chairs. Not mentioning that their manager before said that we can choose any table and chair which I was about to sit on had a gigantic dirty spot. The behavior of this woman is rude, not service oriented. I do not know how this kind of people are even allowed to work with clients in a restaurant. They should clearly go and learn some manners. Your guests come with money and you spit in their faces. I’ve never seen such a rude attitude like she came from a wild place where they do not have a society. Every single restaurant I was before with the pup welcomed us with open arms and was so kind. They provided my pup with a personal dog bowl, pillow or a blanket. If there weren’t any additional chair to sit my pup, they always brought it without a question with a smile. This place, however, is apparently not familiar with society norms. Hope they will understand that treating your guests like trash is not the way to make them return and spend money there.
