We were there twice last year and were absolutely thrilled—I emphasize "were"! We made a reservation last week for 6:00 PM today for two people for my birthday, and they confirmed that our seats were guaranteed right at the entrance. We arrived today and were greeted very rudely at the entrance and told us to sit in the back corner of the basement. After we politely asked them to do so, "the ladies" told us that it was uneconomical for our restaurant to accommodate two people at a table of four and that we should choose another day. We've never experienced anything like this before, anywhere! We will never set foot in this place again and will, of course, mention it to our large circle of friends.

Mr. Çağlar acts like he can do everything himself, and the process is incredibly difficult :( The order taking and service process are especially disgraceful. Only go if you have the patience to not crack :( You have to look really hard to find walnuts in the Gavurdagi; it's not even close to what I'm used to. The pastrami hummus had a reddish tinge to it. Unfortunately, the staff is not treated well :( The fried calamari and shrimp were quite good. IF YOU WANT TO DRINK WINE WITH A GLASS OF WATER, DEFINITELY GO THERE

We visited Mezze Nürnberg for the first time today and were thrilled. The food and the raki were of high quality. There were two of us and we even ordered the calamari and octopus twice because they were simply excellent. We would especially like to praise the young waiter, who was extremely attentive and courteous. The manager (?), who took our money at the end, was also very friendly – as was the young waitress. The food was served exactly as we requested, with pleasant breaks between courses. Conclusion: We seem to have found a new favorite restaurant!

We spent a wonderful evening with great food and the young waiter team, whom I highly commend. Despite the sudden heavy rain and hail, they were still very friendly, nimble, and happy. Our visit to Mezze in Nuremberg unfortunately got off to a somewhat bumpy start: We had to wait about five minutes at the entrance before being noticed and greeted by the staff. However, this uncoordinated start was quickly compensated for by a friendly welcome. With Turkish elements such as atmospheric paintings and traditional gas lamps, the restaurant creates a stylish yet inviting atmosphere. The background music was pleasant and contributed to the relaxed ambiance. Unfortunately, the tables were quite small for the mezze concept – that is, many small dishes. Especially since two tables next door remained empty the entire evening, they could easily have pushed two tables together to create a bit more space. One downside was the strong smell of food in the entrance area, which was a bit too overpowering. Better ventilation would have been desirable here. Mezze offers a nice selection of hot and cold tapas. We opted for three cold and three hot mezze – the quantities were well-balanced. Some of the dishes were delicious. Some dishes lacked the refinement and artisanal finesse to justify the rather high price. The bread served was particularly disappointing, as it was clearly a ready-made product – we would definitely recommend opting for fresh bread from a local bakery to meet the culinary standards. On the positive side, the wine selection was well-matched and would have rounded off the evening pleasantly – if it weren't for the lackluster service in the cellar area. As the evening progressed, the service staff was barely present. We had to actively request more drinks or refills, which unfortunately significantly marred the otherwise hospitable experience. Clearing the plates could also have been done more quickly to make room for more dishes. Overall, the mezze has a lot of potential: the stylish decor, the relaxed atmosphere, and the fundamentally good idea of Turkish tapas are promising. If service processes are optimized, the culinary standards are sharpened, and the price is more closely aligned with the quality offered, mezze can become a real highlight in Nuremberg's gastronomy scene.

Good Turkish food. Pleasant service. Bottled beer not draft, but it is Efes! We shared hummus, which was lovely very smooth and then both had kofte, all was delicious.

The location in the city is wonderful. The appetizers were delivered in a reasonable time and of good quality. The wait for the main course was a bit longer! I was disappointed when the side dish for my grilled chicken was changed from rice to potatoes. Perhaps an additional specialist in the service area would be the solution! The sea bream fillet, which didn't live up to its name, confirmed the unsatisfactory impression. Not only the small bones on the edge of the fish, but also the very large, thick bones testified to a lack of precision in this price segment!

Second visit to Mezze, the first in the summer was very good. Unfortunately disappointing this time. Several dishes were already out by 6:30 p.m. The dishes were good, but far too small for the high price. The female service staff was great, unfortunately she was rejected by the owner? shouted at and put down a few meters away from the guests. When we asked him about it, he simply denied it, even though we were all sitting right next to him. This is not how you treat staff. The ambience would be nice if you didn't smell very unpleasantly of a deep fryer after your visit. Unfortunately we won't be coming back, which is mainly due to the way we deal with the staff.

Unfortunately, I did not have a positive impression of the staff. In particular, the situation we had with an employee when we entered was quite disturbing. Es kam auf Empfehlung der Bedienung eine sehr gute, ausreichende und leckere Auswahl. Die Hauptgerichte waren auch alles sehr gut. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. The decor and ambience were successful, but the service made the stay unpleasant. You constantly feel restricted due to the overly regulating behavior of the waitresses. These are often inattentive and slow; If you ask questions you are asked to wait in a disrespectful manner. You are not allowed to go to the bar yourself to ask about the missing drinks, even though the food has already been served for 15 minutes and the drinks and ice cubes are missing. The waitresses seem overwhelmed. The food itself is average, and the Turkish dishes don't really live up to the descriptions. It was suggested to me by the waitress that it was not okay and tasteless to order bottled water instead of tap water (which is free!!!), as raki is usually drunk with tap water. However, this statement seems quite nonsensical to me. It's a shame because we visited the restaurant on a recommendation. When I asked who the operator was and if I could speak to him, I was told that if I had any comments I should contact the staff, otherwise I would just have to wait?! I am unsure whether this is in the operator's interest. What should be highlighted positively, however, is that the crew in the kitchen (the only ones who spoke Turkish) were extremely friendly and helpful…

Hello, Unfortunately, we were disappointed during our visit to this restaurant. Our warm starter was brought to the table at the same time as the main course. We ignored that, but unfortunately the warm starter and our main course were completely cold. The waitress apologized and was very polite. However, we noticed that all the tables around us had the same problems. The food tasted delicious, but because it was completely cold, it wasn't worth the price. In addition, we had to wait a long time for further orders, drinks, clearing of the plates and the bill. That was the case with quite a few guests that evening. It's a shame, because otherwise I've only heard positive things about the place. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm it and cannot recommend it based on our experience. Sorry :(

Tasty Turkish restaurant in Nuremberg.

We went to this restaurant for the first time. We ordered starter, main course and dessert, everything was very tasty and nice. Above all, the staff in the restaurant were very nice to us. I waited 15 minutes to ask for it so I could continue my meal, I think you need to add a few more staff to your team to provide a better service. But I doubt the accuracy of any negative comments about the taste.

The Mezze in Nuremberg is located in the most beautiful location in Nuremberg. It's a lovely place to sit and end a summer evening in particular. The food is good too. Therefore, one would think that the basic requirements are already in place. Unfortunately, as I have experienced myself and heard from many others, the service is non-existent. We were there with a larger group and at first we weren't served at all, then in a bad mood and reluctantly, half of them were forgotten and even after politely asking where the food was, the service continued to ignore us. At the end we even said that the food was delicious, but that we would have liked better service given the prices. But then we were just brushed off. All in all, Mezze is a good restaurant. But I personally wouldn't go there again if I got that kind of service.

Unfortunately the service was a bitter disappointment. When we arrived we had to wait even though we had reserved a table. The table we were given shook so badly that we were forced to put a napkin under it to solve the problem. We then received a whistle from the service staff - absolutely incomprehensible and rude. Despite repeated requests, we did not receive a new napkin. There was no clearing during our stay and we had to ask for bread three times before it finally came to our table. No one came to ask us for additional drinks and when we wanted to pay we had to wait forever. We were particularly impressed by the service management, who was rude and spoke to the young busboy in an inappropriate tone. All in all a frustrating experience, despite the good cuisine.

Ich bin wirklich kein großer Kritiker und habe absolutes Verständnis für die Situation des Personalmangels. Aber das war gestern die absolute Katastrophe. Es fing an, dass bei der Hitze das Bier und der Weißwein NICHT gekühlt war und im Weinkühler kaltes Wasser war. Die Begründung: zu späte Lieferung…hmmm. Der Chef rannte den ganzen Abend wie ein aufgeregtes Huhn durch die Menge. Von einer schönen Atmosphäre leider nichts zu spüren. Das Essen haben wir komplett anders bekommen als bestellt. Die Begründung: Küche ist überfordert. Alles ok, aber dann bitte nicht alle Reservierungsanfragen annehmen mit der Rücksicht auf das Personal und natürlich die zahlenden Gäste, die höchst unzufrieden das Lokal verlassen. Wir waren übrigens ein unzufriedener Tisch von vielen. Schade für das wirklich sehr geschmackvolle Lokal, wenn das Essen wirklich minderwertig ist und dem Preis nicht angemessen.

Since you are a business, sell it for 70-80 euros. It is understandable if it is 100 euros. You subtract 50 tek from 1 liter of raki, I think this is not appropriate. Everything in the place is Turkish, it's very nice, when it comes to raki, it's made for German, it's not me, but your head waiter says this, and he also advises me that it's for German. I haven't seen a single German drinking raki, they all drink wine or beer. We come here because the place is Turkish, but we want to drink raki with taste. I made the note from the raki, which is a big detail for me. Hope you update your single and double settings.

The positive first: the food was really good... Unfortunately, the negative points outweighed the negatives in the evening: very long waiting times, inattentive staff, overwhelmed boss. It seems to me as if an attempt is made to generate as much profit as possible over as many tables as possible. The service ladies also seem to be poorly trained - why else do they walk past empty tables several times? We thought: OK, maybe we had a bad day, but one scene made the final difference in the rating: after a long wait (no one wanted to have dessert with us), I went straight to the counter to pay. The boss was standing behind the bar, sweating and spinning, and two of the service ladies were sitting at a table in front of it: eating. Completely wrong priority given a full house. It remains to be hoped that the owner will perhaps prepare for a smaller profit but will improve the service. Then guests could become regulars. Or maybe he doesn't need it because someone always wants to eat there...

We actually wanted to experience a nice, relaxed Sunday evening with friends here in a cozy atmosphere... ...but unfortunately this was not the case. The food was average and the starters were overpriced for the quantity on offer. My main course (stuffed pointed peppers) simply tasted like tomato sauce. The service was incredibly bad - we always had to order bread, wine, etc. ourselves, otherwise we would have been left with empty plates and glasses. After dinner, the dirty plates were left at the table in front of us for over an hour. Nobody cleared away. We sat outside - inside the restaurant the dirty plates were piled up on the tables like mountains of rubbish. We had to ask for the bill six times before we were "allowed" to pay - we waited more than an hour for the bill. There was no excuse for this, on the contrary. Only a total amount was given and the individual dishes ordered were not read out. In addition, we did not receive an invoice, although we were obviously charged by the owner. I can't recommend the restaurant because of the food or the service. I have rarely experienced being treated so disrespectfully and unprofessionally as a guest in a restaurant.

The food has regressed a lot compared to a year ago: 1. The portion of calf's liver was reduced by half; 2. Last year there was a Turkish girl waitress who was very good; this time there was a very thin black waitress with a bad attitude who made things difficult for the customers.

Wolfsbarsch, immer im Ganzen bestellen, damit er saftig bleibt. Hier vom Grill und etwas zu lang auf dem Rost gelegen, doch noch ohne auszutrocknen, zu 25,20 Euro geht so in Ordnung. Syrah zu 7,70 Euro pro Glas (alle Weine ähnlich) ist schon eine sehr ambitionierte Preisgestaltung. Da wären 5,50 Euro bereits mehr als gut bezahlt. Wie immer mittlerweile ist auch hier Wasser ein viel zu teurer Spaß. Der gastronomische Merksatz, "du wirst arm gefressen und reich getrunken", trifft eben zu.

I think it was a good attempt to show that Turkish cuisine is not just about döner and kebab. The food is not bad as far as we tried. However, in my opinion, there are some points that need improvement. 1- It is not a good approach to greet customers by saying "your reservation is only for 2-2.5 hours" as soon as they arrive at the venue. Moreover, although the staff member said that this was written at the time of reservation, when we checked, we realized that such a warning did not appear in the reservation confirmation. 2- In a place that tries to offer a kind of "fine dining" service with white tablecloths, it would be better to display wine/raki on the table while serving alcohol. It is a positive element that the customer is shown the raki he ordered, especially in the menu where there are 5 types of raki. 3- There is a discrepancy in raki prices and wine selection. So, raki presentation etiquette is known as "single 4cl" or double 8cl. However, the venue gives a measurement of 2cl and 4cl, almost the same as whiskey. cl was given low, thinking that it might not be suitable for the German palate. But shouldn't the pricing be accordingly? 4 cl of new raki 5.5 EUR ??? I think asking 5.5 EUR for the simplest Yeni Raki, which you can find in any market for 16-18 EUR per bottle (70cl), is excessive pricing. Besides, this price is over 4cl. With straight calculations, the bottle price comes to 96 EUR, which is a very unnecessary Price / Performance ratio for this type of raki. There is also quite excessive pricing for other types of raki. 4- I haven't tried the wine, but when I looked at the menu, offering 0.2cl of Yakut-Doluca for 7 EUR is nothing but outright ripping off people, especially in Germany, where you can buy very good wines in the market for 5-10 EUR. Moreover, if this price is to be maintained, much higher quality / delicious wines can be brought and promoted from Turkey. I don't think it is right to do this with the oldest TR wines sold in the 3.5-5 EUR range at Sergros. As a matter of fact, it would be better to give those who come here and do not prefer Raki the chance to choose a slightly higher quality wine. 5- As for the food quality, among the ones we tried, only the fried liver was okay, the calamari was a little bit like string. 6- The service staff were very friendly.

If your looking for a quick trip to Turkey and back this is the place. Aside from a decent selection of Raki they also serve Efes which I found very interesting. The waiters were very kind and attending. For dinner I ordered meatballs "kasap köftesi" which was great. Next time I'm there I'll definitely try the vegeterian dishes. A small point to mention is that the closer to the kitchen you are the worse the ventilation gets, if that a thing that bothers you ask for a table accordingly.

Das Mezze überzeugt leider nicht! Die Vorspeisen sind gut - aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Die Hauptgerichte sind etwas lieblos auf den Tellern arrangiert - das kann man mit kleinen Handgriffen sicher besser machen. Die Hauptgerichte sind eher alltäglich - ich denke mal, dass jeder Hobbykoch das auch so hinbekommt. Getränkepreise sind oberstes Preisniveau! Das schlimmste aber, ist die Inneneinrichtung: wir saßen im Kellerraum mit einem überdimensionierten Kronleuchter, ohne Fenster, eingezwängt und gegenüber dem Toiletteneingang. Dieser verströmte einen irritierenden Geruch, der schwellweise während des Essens zu uns flog - widerlich!!! Ich würde empfehlen, das Mezze im Sommer zu besuchen, wenn es draußen Plätze gibt.

A mega restaurant! The atmosphere, the food, the people - everything 10/10. The decor is so inviting, the vinyl music is so warm, the dishes are so lovingly prepared. Our evening here was very nice and relaxed. This was more than just dinner, this was a little trip to Turkey. ♥️

Ein rundum gelungener Besuch im Restaurant 'Mezze'! Das Essen war nicht nur geschmacklich herausragend, vor allem die Rinderleber hat mich positiv überrascht – ein Genuss für die Sinne. Das äußerst freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal trug maßgeblich zu einer angenehmen Atmosphäre bei. Das gemütliche und geschmackvolle Ambiente rundete das Erlebnis ab. Definitiv ein Ort, an dem man die türkische Küche in entspannter und stilvoller Atmosphäre genießen kann. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Nice atmosphere and very friendly service. We were thrilled with the food, the sauce for the kofta could have been warmer. A little too loud but we'll be back!
