Metropolis Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Bahnstadt in Heidelberg

Heute haben wir diesen Ort besucht. Wir gingen vorbei und beschlossen, zu Abend zu essen, wir setzten uns sofort auf die Sommerterrasse. Wir bestellten Gerichte von einfach ekelhafter Qualität, viel Öl, nicht lecker, die Spaghetti sind überverdaut. Wir wollten bezahlen, aber es stellte sich heraus, dass sie die Karte nicht akzeptieren, nur Bargeld 😨 sie haben uns nicht gewarnt, die Inschrift an der Tür, 30 m von uns entfernt. Wie wir es sehen sollten, ist interessant zu wissen. Ich musste einen Freund anrufen, er kam und bezahlte. Es gibt kein Internet im Café 😣 wir sind Touristen, wir sind nach Europa gekommen und einfach so - es gibt kein Internet und nur Bargeld. Im Allgemeinen empfehle ich diesen Ort nicht. Das Bier ist auch nicht lecker.

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne ins Restaurant Metropolis, entweder vor oder nach einem Kinobesuch oder auch mal einfach so. Hier gibt es sehr leckeres Essen in einer guten Auswahl und tolle Drinks. Die Preise finden wir in Ordnung. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir mögen auch das schöne Ambiente und den Platz. Der Aperol Spritz kommt in großen schönen Gläsern, beim letzten Mal gab’s Hähnchen Steak und Salat, sehr lecker! Die Portionen sind angenehm groß, hier wird man satt!

Völlig überteuert für durchschnittliches Essen. Das Essen schmeckt nicht besonders gut, der Service ist ebenfalls schlecht und unfreundlich. Ich würde das Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Nur Barzahlung geht gar nicht. Es ist 2026!

War sehr überrascht. Sehr schönes Lokal und sehr netter Service. Waren 5 Personen und jedem hat es geschmeckt. Von der Fingerfood Platte hatte ich vergessen ein Foto zu machen.

War bisher nur einmal vor einem Kinobesuch dort. Modernes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienungen und leckeres Essen.

Fingerfood, gute Lage und guter Service. Die Preise sind für das Angebot etwas hoch, aber dennoch bezahlbar. 4 von 5 Sternen, da nur Barzahlung möglich ist.

Einziger Mängel, Coconut Kiss war nur mit Schaum, nicht mit Sahne wie in der Getränkekarte beschrieben

Das Essen war eine absolute Katastrophe! Die Chicken Wings war noch mega kalt innen. Man hat gemerkt, dass es TK Wings sind. Wenn man die nicht hinbekommt ist es echt schon schade.

Alles super ,nur auf dem Schild auf unserem Tisch stand Reserviert, wir mussten leider feststellen das KEIN Reh bei uns serviert hat.

Am Wochenende muss man hier auch mal etwas länger warten. Personal ist freundlich und bemüht. Wir wollten nur noch kurz vor einer Veranstaltung etwas trinken. Bedienung dauerte leider etwas lange

Gutes essen, Nette leute, Fast nix zu Meckern. Blöd: Nur Barzahlung möglich. Und Aufpassen: Gegrillte Peperoni sind nicht ein Teller sondern ein Berg. :-)

Heute war ich nach dem Kinoaufenthalt mit meinem Freund in Metropolis Heidelberg. Als wir reinkamen war die Atmosphäre eigentlich angenehm. Wir saßen uns hin mussten aber erstmal 15 min warten bis uns jemand fragen wollte was wir bestellen wollen. Nach 15 min haben sich die Kellnerinnen über unseren Tisch diskutiert (sie zeigten auf unseren Tisch) wer unsere Bestellung aufnehmen sollte, da wollte ich eigentlich schon nachhause. Als es die 20 min näherte kam endlich eine Kellnerin um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen.

Der attraktivste Barkeeper der mir je untergekommen ist. Der Mann hat auf jeden Fall eine Gehaltserhöhung verdient.

War schon mehrfach hier und jedes Mal überrascht wie schnell das Essen zum Tisch gebracht wird. War auch bisher nie enttäuscht von meinem Essen. Die Pizzabrötchen sind sehr lecker! Was echt schade und auch ein bisschen traurig ist, ist dass ein Restaurant mitten in der modernen Bahnstadt keine einzige vegane Speise auf der Karte hat. Meine Freundin musste sich mit trockenen Pommes zufrieden geben. So stellt man sich nicht vor Essen zu gehen.

Good service, solid food, large portions. The food arrives quickly, even for larger groups, and special requests are handled well. The service is friendly and very attentive; forgetting something occasionally can happen to anyone. The price-performance ratio is good. It was a shame that the floor was very sticky, and the table wasn't completely clean. Nevertheless, we would gladly come back.

The card reader has been broken for months. Card payments are not possible. We had to pool our cash from every pocket, just like back in our student days. How can any business owner knowingly go under? It's like something out of the Stone Age.

Where do I begin??? Aperol Spritz was in an amazing crystal goblet. The appetizers were Onion rings with a smokey BBQ sauce. The potatoes wedges were like breakfast potatoes and the buffalo wings came with an awesome Aioli sauce. Dinner was a fettuccine Alfredo with salmon in a lovely cream base sauce. Dessert.... 2 Schnapps shots. That's all we had room for. We came all the way from the OC California. We will definitely BE BACK. LENA was an efficient waitress and the owner Lisa Rousch was a delight.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The Metropolis is a winner all around – stylish ambiance, attentive service, and outstanding food. The rump steak is a particular highlight: cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. A true culinary experience – highly recommended!

We ate at the Metropolis restaurant in Heidelberg on October 30, 2025. Right at the entrance, we noticed a sign stating that card payments were not accepted. Unfortunately, when we inquired, we received only evasive answers and were told that the problem had existed for weeks without the owner finding a solution. In this day and age, cashless payment should be standard practice. The food was okay (grade 3), but by no means exceptional. We were particularly disappointed by the very high prices – for example, a Margherita pizza cost €12.90, with additional toppings starting at €1.10 each. Significantly lower prices are listed online, which surprised and disappointed us. Overall, the food was average and overpriced, and the payment system was outdated. We will not be recommending this restaurant.

I visited the Metropolitan in Heidelberg and was absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere is both modern and cozy – you immediately feel at ease. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food and drinks were excellent, everything fresh and perfectly balanced in flavor. I especially appreciated the spotless cleanliness and the attention to detail that went into running the place. I would definitely recommend the Metropolitan – whether for a relaxed evening with friends or a lovely date. Absolutely worth a visit!

The location was nicely decorated. However, the service was poor. Likewise, the food – the bacon cheeseburger arrived lukewarm after about 10 minutes despite ordering quickly. The lettuce and tomatoes weren't fresh. For the price, it was unsatisfactory. I could eat it, but I wasn't impressed. The funny thing is, they have a digital menu, but payment via debit card isn't possible. That doesn't make sense.

It tasted great and the atmosphere was very nice. The staff were lovely and, above all, very friendly. 👍Highly recommended! 😁😉

The place is super cozy, you immediately feel at home. The food? Absolutely spot-on: my bacon burger with sweet potato fries was really strong and arrived at the table in a flash. But then came the downer: The cashier was completely messed up. In our group of nine, the waitress simply couldn't manage to split the bills properly. They asked several times, mixed things up – in the end, it took us almost half an hour just to pay. Unfortunately, that really dampened the good mood. It's a shame, because the food and atmosphere were really great. I hope the service at the cashier is better next time – then it would be a real success.

The food at Metropolis has generally been quite good in the past. However, on my last visit (Sat, August 23rd), it was a bit greasier than usual. Unfortunately, the music selection often contains content that is unsuitable for a public dining environment, including topics like drug use or sexual activity. In the past, staff have mentioned that they select the music themselves. A more neutral or calming playlist, such as pop or indie, would be much more appropriate here. Apart from that, Metropolis offers a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, so I continue to hope that the dining experience will return to its usual high quality.

Today, before the movie screening, we made our almost traditional visit to Metropolis. We had salmon tagliatelle and the cheese and bacon burger. The service was fast, the food was delicious and plentiful. We'd gladly go back! 5 stars

The food is okay, but nothing special. The outdoor ambiance is, unfortunately, rather unpleasant. The service, however, is very friendly and attentive. Plus, you don't have to wait long for drinks and food.

Wij vonden de locatie wat steriel en onpersoonlijk. Modern en pretentieus ingericht maar past niet helemaal bij het standaard type eten. Nogal jonge personeel gedroeg zich ook afstandelijk. Het eten is goed maar niet verder opzienbarend qua gerechten. De omgeving is nog in ontwikkeling en een behoorlijk eind buiten het centrum (wat je uiteraard op de kaart kan nazien). Het is eerder een zakelijk hotel met restaurant. Het is waarschijnlijk wel geschikt voor grote groepen.

Good decoration but the food quality was bad and the prices were too high for what they are given to you. To pay 17€ for a frozen pizza is not ok.

Stopped by spontaneously on a Saturday evening. Lots of seating options, so you can get a table straight away. We ordered pasta, pizza and pizza rolls. Pizza was outstandingly good. Pasta delicious. Pizza rolls ok. We got the food after about 15 minutes. Prices average for Heidelberg. Service friendly. We'd love to come back.

Sehr freundliche Begrüssung und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter auch die Burger sind sehr gut für mich zwar etwas viel aber wirklich sehr gut die selbst gemachten Kartoffelchips waren sehr lecker habe noch nie solche feinen Chips gegessen wie hier. Auch das Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet, da wir sehr früh essen gehen wollten (18:00) war das Lokal nicht so voll das hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen.

Das Restaurant ist sehr stylisch und die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend. Wir hatten den Hamburger und ein Vegetarisches Gericht. Beides sehr lecker und der Hamburger war richtig lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Metropolis is the perfect place for a great evening! The atmosphere is modern and inviting, the service is super friendly. The cocktails are creative and delicious, and the menu offers great dishes. Absolutely recommended.

Had dinner with friends before going to the cinema. A nice and cozy restaurant. The service staff was friendly and helpful. The portions were the right size, the food was delicious. If the weather is nice, you can also make yourself comfortable on the terrace. Parking facilities are also available.

Disrespectful staff I ordered a Long Island ICE Tea and after 25 minutes of waiting I was given a watered down cola. The other 4 people in my group confirmed to me that there couldn't be any alcohol in it. When I politely asked the waitress if I could add some alcohol, everything seemed fine. Then, after a short while, the bartender came rushing in with an aggressive expression on his face and my unchanged drink in his hand (grabbing the rim of the glass from above) and loudly told us that half of the cocktail was alcohol and that under no circumstances would he give me a refill with alcohol. Then he yelled that I was an alcoholic (the tables next to me were also very shocked), gave me back my drink and went back behind the bar where he continued cutting and wrapping pizzas while rolling his cigarettes over the open pizza packaging. We would have liked to just leave again, but since we had been waiting for our food for more than an hour and at this time (10 p.m.) the possibilities of finding a restaurant nearby with an open kitchen were very limited, we decided to stay. Conclusion: It wasn't worth the wait and I absolutely can't recommend this store.

Really not recommended! The treatment of customers in this store is simply unacceptable. My brother ordered a Long Island Ice Tea, and what he got was little more than a watered down Coke. When he asked for an additional sip of alcohol, the bartender insulted him in front of our entire group. The bartender came rushing over to us from the bar and made a fuss that half the place noticed. The bartender claimed there was enough alcohol in it and assumed my brother had a drinking problem. Unbelievable! My brother wasn't offered any other drink. I also can't recommend pizza for delivery. There is a possibility that there are tobacco residues from the bartender's hand-rolled cigarette on it. He packs the pizzas right next to his tobacco and has the cigarette in his mouth - just disgusting! For our group of five there were only three napkins and four cutlery. I had a pizza with olives - and found seeds spread as a topping! You can really only order here if you're lucky. The menu only partially matches what is actually available. I should ask at the bar to confirm that the drink I wanted was not available on the menu. Luckily I didn't do that, otherwise I would have had to meet the bartender earlier. Overall a very disappointing experience!

Here, you'll be insulted for no reason even if you're making a normal customer request. With this kind of customer service, you should think twice about ordering anything here.

Very tasty food! We had the Caesar salad and the sweet potato cheeseburger. Large portions, almost too much for one person. The service was very attentive. Always worth recommending in conjunction with a visit to the cinema.

Das Qube Signature Bar & Restaurant in Heidelberg ist ein besonderer Ort in der Bahnstadt. Die Signature Bar sieht schick aus, hat richtig guten Drinks und ein tolles Ambiente. Das Barteam ist sehr professionell und weiß, wie man die Gäste verwöhnt. Man kann dort entspannt einen Cocktail trinken und einfach abschalten. Das Restaurant selbst punktet mit einer kreativen Mischung aus regionaler, mediterraner und internationaler Kräuterküche. Es wird wirklich viel Wert darauf gelegt, dass die Zutaten frisch und natürlich sind. Alles wird genau auf den Punkt zubereitet, und der Service ist nicht nur freundlich, sondern auch echt aufmerksam. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die Dachterrasse. Besonders im Sommer kann man unvergessliche Abende verbringen, mit einem tollen Ausblick über das Heidelberger Tal.

TIP TOP Businesslunch für jeden zu Empfehlen. Schönes Ambiente, freundlicher Service und ebenfalls köstliche Speisen zum adäquaten Preis. Komme gerne wieder

Very worth seeing and a great bar, the food is expensive but worth the price. You can spend a lovely evening with friends here. The staff is polite and the place (especially the tables and other ambience) are clean.
