Unfortunately, it was a very mixed experience. The tacos and enchiladas are not authentic and unfortunately very bland. The margaritas are also terrible.

A small, cozy and inviting restaurant in the center of Konstanz. It is very easy to reach on foot and only a few minutes' walk from the parking garage. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. I like to recommend the empanadas, the tacos and the arepas. The dips were excellent, overall it was super tasty and a great experience.

A restaurant in a central location in Konstanz. We parked in the 'B+B Parkhaus' car park, from there the restaurant is very easy to reach on foot in 2-3 minutes. The place is really nice, with young and super friendly staff. We tried some empanadas, arepas and of course tacos – really tasty! The guacamole sauce that was served with each dish was really good. I'm not usually a fan of guacamole, but this one was really delicious.

It was a nice surprise to find authentic latin food in Konstanz. Specially the 'enchiladas' which are the Mexican tostadas and they were delicious! Also, the tostones and arepas were amazing and the coconut flan so well executed. Keep up with the good work representing latin american flavors!! We'll be back :)

We drive to Konstanz from Zürich regularly. Not to shop, but to eat at Mestiza. Highly recommended.

Everything's great! The restaurant is cute and cozy with good music. The service is friendly and the food was delicious. What is particularly positive is that almost the entire offering can optionally be ordered vegetarian or vegan. In terms of price, the offer is rather at the upper limit.

By far the best Mexican food in the region if not all of Germany. Simple menu for five items. Everything appears to be handmade and fresh super tasty and delicious. Couple issues I have with the place it’s super cheap not price wise but everything else wise. The drinks are €10.50 or more and while you look on the shelf behind the bar and you see big tiki mugs and big glasses what comes out are small IKEA margarita glasses And other smaller cups. The heat isn’t turned on so it’s quite cold inside and when you go to the bathroom to wash your hands, you have to hold the pressure button down or automatically turns off instantly. so and go to enjoy the food, but the drinks are gonna cost you.

Unfortunately I have to give 1 star because of this: They wanted to have my 3 star review on Google deleted because of defamation! I just said that the price is very high! So I got about three quesadillas for €15 ago that didn't even fill me up, while in Switzerland I even got four large quesadillas for €25. The price-performance ratio is absolutely NOT right here! Unfortunately, the food was carelessly prepared and I didn't go home full, even though I'm a slightly smaller and not fat person! I wouldn't go here again More of a tourist trap. A reputable restaurant responds to criticism and does not try to have these reviews deleted!

Ich muss leider 1 Stern geben und zwar deswegen: Man wollte meine 3 Sterne Bewertung auf Google löschen lassen wegen Verleumdung! Ich habe nur gesagt, dass der Preis sehr hoch ist! So habe ich vor 15 € etwa drei Quesadillas bekommen von denen ich nicht einmal satt wurde wäre nicht sogar in der Schweiz für 25€. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier absolut NICHT! Das Essen war auch leider lieblos angerichtet und ich ging nichts satt nach Hause, obwohl ich eine etwas kleinere und nicht dicke Person bin! Ich würde hier nicht mehr hingehen!

If I had to choose the best restaurant visit of the year, it would definitely be the Mestiza. Simple but delicious, aromatic and extremely satisfying. All ingredients were very fresh. I would recommend everyone to have the nachos plate as a starter. I can also recommend the arepas to everyone - if you want to try something other than tacos. What made the meal even more delicious were the sauces served with each dish (especially the guacamole sauce). Highly recommended!

Unfortunately I can't share Postivie's experience. The service and ambience were great! But the food was a disappointment. The tacos tasted NOT like anything, they were cold rather than warm. The guacamole also had a neutral taste (not homemade?!) Unfortunately, salt and pepper didn't help either. The tortillias were so cheap that they crumbled as soon as you touched them (even two layers won't help). The lemonade was ok but a bit too sour for my personal taste.

Very cozy, colorful atmosphere. Very tasty Central and South American dishes. Classics: tacos, quesadillas, arepas, etc. Mega delicious desserts. Drinks and cocktails. Everyone will find something for every budget. Vegetarian, without alcohol, everything is possible.

When we arrived we initially thought “cute shop” so everything was fine in terms of furnishings, but then there was a back and forth about the tables, then the table was extremely stuck but was then cleaned upon request. So beautiful so good. We ordered a starter and main course straight away and I ordered salsa verde after I specifically asked if they had it and she said yes. We got our starters where the nachos weren't homemade, the guacamole wasn't authentic and the minced meat was also dry. My friend had plantains and was given two dips, a red salsa and a crème fraîche or something like that. When the main course came I said that my salsa verde was missing, to which she said it was the red salsa on my starter's plate Girlfriend even though it was expressly said that it was for the main course and I ordered it for myself. Of course, the sauce was almost empty at that point and instead of offering to bring me a new one, because it wasn't our mistake in the part of the order, it was simply served with the starter and then for my friend on the plate that she got and of course There was no salsa verde either, just normal salsa and they suddenly said there was no salsa verde. I ate exactly one of 3 enchiladas, I wasn't offered to wrap it up or anything and we weren't asked once if everything was okay because that wasn't it. Since then I've also had exaggerated stomach pains and since today I've been feeling nauseous all the time. I would have given up on a review and simply never come back and thought to myself “well first and last time” but €70 for the service in terms of cleanliness, the inauthentic food and service and then stomach cramps and stomach aches, no thanks. At least an apology would have been nice when you could see the plate wasn't empty and you made a mistake, but instead the service ignored us even after the sauce faux pas and we had to fight for attention to pay the bill through wild gesticulations and a “can we please pay?”

Way too expensive for the food you receive. Cheap ingredients are used here. sold at prices that make you feel grossly ripped off. A small extra (only beef instead of beef/pork as a topping) was charged directly at an extra charge of 3 euros, although this starter (cheap, pre-bought tortilla chips plus a few toppings) was already 13.50 euros. According to the menu, the empanadas were supposed to have coleslaw, but unfortunately there was none - but of course the full price was still charged. Unfortunately it was our last visit.

We were craving Mexican food and were unfortunately disappointed. Very nice, warm but overwhelmed staff. The waiting time is very long and the food ultimately arrived cold. The taste was dry and a bit boring. Unfortunately, our stomach didn't tolerate the food well. However, the ambience is very nice.

The Mestiza restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and musical selection, which contribute to a cozy experience. However, my visit was marred by an unacceptable wait time. Despite the good atmosphere, waiting an hour to receive two arepas is completely unacceptable. For this reason, my rating is 1/5. I hope they can improve the efficiency of the service in the future, as the potential of the place is remarkable.

This is a nice place with relaxed staff and a nice atmosphere. The food was very fine and inexpensive.

Nothing was missing. The food was delicious, unfortunately we weren't hungry enough for dessert, but the starter and main courses were great. But the enchiladas were our highlight, highly recommended! The two boys also enjoyed their job and did it really well :)

The food and the ambience were really great, something different. The only criticism I have is that you sometimes have to wait a long time, even if it was just for a bottled beer... I think 20 minutes is a bit long. I would still come back at any time. Really recommended!! 😊

The inn was a coincidence that I would like to recommend to everyone. We were there with a Colombian woman who really praised the authenticity of the food. My wife and I have also been to Latin America and were reminded of the taste of the cuisine there. The ambience, price and friendliness of the service round off the excellent overall impression.

Really something very exclusive! It's really rare to find a restaurant like this! The food tastes incredibly good and the atmosphere is simply better than any living room vibe. I would definitely recommend the desserts to everyone.

Unfortunately, our impressions of the restaurant are mixed. The welcome from the friendly service staff was very warm and drinks and starters came to the table very quickly. Despite the small number of guests during our visit, the main courses took a very long time (30 minutes). In terms of taste, we were missing a bit of spice and that certain something in everything. It's a shame, because the service and ambience were really convincing.

I had lunch here and was able to sit outside even when the weather was nice. The food selection is varied and vegetarian/vegan is also possible. I noticed that a lot of tasty vegetables are processed here, such as: E.g. fennel, celery, ...which you don't get at the usual "Mecikaner restaurants". I really liked that. The dishes are beautifully prepared. I had vegetarian quesadillas for lunch with salad - I can highly recommend them. The homemade ginger-lime lemonade was also very refreshing. Thanks to the courteous and friendly gentleman from the service. Price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. A beautiful location with very tasty food. I will go here again on my next visit to Konstanz.

I'm writing this review while waiting for my food for 45 minutes. The overpriced starter reached us after 25 minutes. The fuck shop here will officially close in 20 minutes. Nothing is communicated here. Don't slow down again, please.

Gute Auswahl an Gerichten, die sowohl eine Option mit Fleisch bieten als auch eine vegetarische oder vegane Option. Ich empfehle bei den Arepas lieber zwei statt drei zu nehmen, da alles doch recht monoton schmeckt. Lieber nimmt man nochmal eine zusätzliche Vorspeise für etwas Abwechslung. Die Dame im Service war äußerst nett und auch das Essen und die Getränke waren schnell an unserem Platz. Die Dips waren super, die Arepas für meinen Geschmack aber etwas zu trocken und recht monoton. Aber Geschmäcker sind ja bekanntlich unterschiedlich.

Wir sind ganz spontan vorbei gekommen, weil es von außen interessant aussah, und haben nach einem Tisch gefragt. Wir haben einen bekommen, der zwei Stunden später reserviert war, und das war für uns dann auch kein Problem. Der Service war sehr freundlich und wir hatten sehr schnell unsere Getränke. Beim Essen hat es ein paar Minuten länger gedauert, was aber nur etwas blöd war, weil unser Zweijähriger ziemlichen Hunger hatte. Aber wir konnten ihn gut ablenken indem wir ein bisschen durchs Restaurant gelaufen sind und der netten Bedienung beim Getränke richten zuschauen durften. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker und vor allem bei den Vorspeisen war auch mal was anderes, dabei, als das was man so klassisch beim "Mexikaner" kennt. Was stimmt, ist, dass keines der Gerichte, die wir hatten scharf war. Dazu stand aber auch nichts auf der Karte, also finde ich das auch nicht schlimm und war mit Kleinkind auch sehr froh darüber. Ich bin sicher man könnte aber darum bitten. Wir waren auf jeden Fall sehr zufrieden und satt.

Highly recommend. They serve foods from a variety of Latin American countries, many of which are gluten-free, all of which are absolutely delicious. Prices are great, servings filling. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. Would recommend reservations to make sure they can seat you, especially if you have a party of 2+. They will certainly try to seat you without a reservation but the place is busy at meal time and for good reason.

In einer Nebengasse direkt in der Konstanzer Altstadt findet man das Mestiza, ein kleines aber recht einladendes Latino Restaurant. Da diese Küche eher eine Rarität in der Bodenseeregion darstellt haben wir es ausprobiert. Das Fleisch ist angenehm zart, die Portionen angemessen und das Ambiente einzigartig in Konstanz. Die kolumbianischen Arepas gibt es meines Wissens nach nirgends sonst im Umkreis, was dem Restaurant ein weiteres Alleinstellungsmerkmal gibt. Service war in Ordnung, nichts besonderes Anzumerken. Musik war für mein Empfinden etwas zu laut. Preislich war alles im Rahmen, wird jedoch für dein einen oder anderen zu teuer sein. Die Enchiladas sind sehr zu empfehlen, speziell wenn man bisher weniger Erfahrung mit lateinamerikanischer Küche gemacht hat. Gerne wieder

Also ein netter kleiner lateinamerikanischer Laden, sehr sympathisch, freundlicher Service. Das Essen, meinem Mann hat es ganz gut geschmeckt, er hatte Enchiladas, mir hat es nicht geschmeckt, ich hatte Arepas. Rindfleisch mit Knoblauch in Maisbrot....aber ich hatte kein Geschmack. Mir fehlte die Würzung, im Fleisch und im Maisbrot. Und ich hatte das Gefühl störrisches Rindfleisch im Mund zu haben und echt trockene Maisfladen. Sorry, aber nicht mein Ding. Trotzdem 3 Punkte wegen dem Ambiente, der Umgebung, den Getränken und dass es meinem Mann geschmeckt hat.

It is my second time there. This time around everything was very good. The hostesses showed us quickly to an empty table and brought the menus right away. We had manioc friters, sweet banana and green banana friters als appetiser with guacamole and white cheesy sauce. All very good. The green banana friters are modeld as a little cup and you can put beef, chicken or veggies inside. Freshly made cocktails with fruit. Afterwards we had arepas filled with beef, but you can put chicken or veggies in them. We also had the enchiladas with chicken (you can have them with beef or chicken or veggies) and for dessert tres leches. They played Latin music all the time and it was nice.
