Highly recommended! We stayed two nights with our dog at the Ko’Ono Hotel. The room was beautifully furnished, everything was very clean, and the staff and service were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and varied. High-quality juice was available by the bottle or for self-squeezing. There was a wide selection of teas and coffees. Fish, cold cuts, cheese, jam, vegan options, muesli, and much more were also available.

The Boozy Brunch was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it! All the food was top-notch, both in terms of taste and size/portion. The drinks were fantastic, and it was all very affordable. The value for money is excellent! I'll definitely be back!

Very comfortably furnished room with everything you need, a real holiday feeling. Staying with a dog was no problem; a nice dog bed was provided (a bowl would be a good addition). The room and bathroom were very clean, and the breakfast buffet was great. I would gladly stay again.

We ate at Koono today, four adults with four kids between the ages of 2 and 6. The food was delicious, the menu was extensive, and best of all: there was a play area for the kids. We were able to enjoy a relaxed meal while the kids played. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the service was very friendly. Great drinks, nicely decorated, and a good atmosphere. Free parking in the underground garage. It was a bit tight for a large SUV, but it worked. Deserves 5 stars.

A beautiful, bright, and clean hotel. The staff were consistently friendly and very accommodating. Every request was fulfilled whenever possible. It was our wedding anniversary, which I had casually mentioned when booking, and we were pleasantly surprised with a Hawaiian-themed table for breakfast and dinner. The sauna is available all day. Our room on the second floor had a partial lake view. We will definitely return.

Lake Constance CAN be Hawaii. A coherent concept. The rooms are very spacious and lovingly furnished. Tea and coffee are provided in the room. The bathroom has underfloor heating, which is wonderful when you're visiting Lake Constance during the colder months. Absolutely everyone on the hotel team is very friendly. The restaurant is well worth a visit. Incredibly delicious, truly exceptional food.

The rooms are comfortably furnished and clean. Reception staff are helpful and friendly. Underground parking is available for a fee. The food was sometimes lacking in focus. We served half-raw shrimp. They were refried, and the salad was rearranged. An interesting Lake Constance rum is on the menu. It can be very busy at times. Reservations recommended.

Possibly the best experience we’ve had as a family in a hotel. We’re foodie parents travelling with a 3 year old and a 2 month old baby. Play area in the restaurant with cool toys. Chill sofa area and lots of board games. Hanging chair in the room. Super comfy bed plus an extra one for the kids. Restaurant was outstanding, we loved all the dishes, including the bbq platter (plus an extra king prawn skewer). Worth travelling for alone. Breakfast was amazing too, waffles, lots of vegan options even Prosecco. Booked an extra night we liked it so much. Had a slight overcharge on the last night but called up and got a refund for the difference. It’s a quiet area, but there’s a bakery down the road and a nice playground close by. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

I went for dinner and ordered the appetizer pupus, spare ribs, and Hawaiian BBQ for one. There was a ton of meat. The spare ribs and pork belly ribs were juicy and succulent. So delicious. Plenty of food. The staff was friendly!

We went to the restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn't like it and wouldn't return. Nothing particularly wrong, but almost nothing right. Even the atmosphere felt a bit like a large refectory. The underground parking is excellent. A real plus!

Unfortunately, the food only arrived after 80 minutes. Food was missing, and the staff frequently asked what was missing and took forever to refill drinks, etc. Overall, the kitchen and staff seemed very poorly organized. The burgers were mediocre, the patties were tasteless and dry, yet still raw inside. They were served on paper that became soggy and stuck to the buns. The shrimp arrived translucent and had to be recooked. The restaurant's smoker filled the entire outdoor area with smoke, delivering a hefty dose of smoke inhalation. Overall, an overpriced and unpleasant experience.

First of all: we only used the restaurant, and taste is subjective. The service staff in the restaurant are quite slow, but friendly. If you want to eat, you'll have to be prepared for a while; the main course took about 60 minutes to arrive and was lukewarm. The food itself was average in taste, and the drinks were watered down (including the beer). The ambiance is okay, but they could have made more effort to hide the cables. The outdoor area is on a relatively busy street, and you can hear the music from the surrounding houses. Price/performance ratio is rather poor. One suggestion for improvement: use moist towels instead of cheap disposable citrus wipes for cleaning hands. It's better for the environment and seems more high-quality.

The two of us were there just for dinner. We ordered the mixed BBQ platter for two. The brisket and the ribs were very good. The burger and pulled pork were average. The BBQ sauces were also great. We were all full. The service was also good.

There was also a play area where children were making a lot of noise, so we had to talk very loudly. It's a shame the play area isn't separated from the dining area.

We were here for dinner. The Hawaiian feeling is a matter of personal taste. It wasn't enough for me. The terrace faces the street. The food was good, albeit with reservations. The starter jars were already prepared, but unfortunately the cucumber and chicken skewers were dry. The main course was cauliflower undercooked, but the ribs were okay. The Hawaiian roast pork was good, as was the brisket. We didn't have to pay for the roast. The service was attentive and friendly. In my opinion, Hawaii could do with better.

Very close to Mainau Island. The restaurant is highly recommended because the food is of very high quality, most of it is locally sourced (organic), and has an extensive selection (also very good for vegetarians). The meat dishes are absolutely fantastic; many are prepared on a smoker. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are relatively small for this price range, but just adequate. The only real criticism, however, is that in warmer months, the rooms are extremely warm, as there is no air conditioning. However, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again when the weather is cooler.

Two of us spontaneously stopped by for dinner. The food was really good and beautifully presented (guacamole served right at your table, etc.). Both the burger and the smoked cauliflower were delicious. The service is a bit pricey, though, which is a bit of a downside, but it's a great treat on vacation and something you can afford. We went to the restaurant for breakfast and were delighted. We received a very warm welcome, and the buffet was shown and explained. The selection of food and drinks is very large, everything is fresh, and the food is constantly being replenished. The team is great and very dedicated.

I ate the best smoked roast beef ever, and I dare say I've eaten this dish many times in many different places around the world! Hats off to the kitchen! The guacamole is prepared fresh at your table, so you can decide what and how much to add. The service was very attentive yet unobtrusive, which made the experience very pleasant. Well-appointed and clean room, as was the entire hotel. The breakfast was generous, varied, and of high quality. The staff was pleasant. The only downside for me was the location, in the middle of a residential area with no charm, but there was a view of the lake in the background.

The room was a complete disaster. A "double room" for two people was a storage closet with a double bed. The price of €105.50 (per person, of course) was charged directly upon check-in. This is completely inappropriate for the room and completely overpriced. The food is good, but the prices are ridiculous. The service was good, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean but very dated. Even the pillows on the bed looked like they might have come from a "better" era, and they didn't exactly look very hygienic. The shower had absolutely no pressure, and the hot water took a long time to arrive. The use of the electrical outlets in the room is also limited because not all of them work. The hotel itself has Wi-Fi; surprisingly, the Wi-Fi reception is better 30 meters from the hotel than in the room itself. However, one positive aspect worth mentioning (for those who prioritize this) is the possibility of charging an e-bike in the underground garage in a dedicated bicycle parking space. My recommendation: It's okay for one night. Regarding the surroundings: There's not much going on in the village or the surrounding area; there's a gas station, an Edeka supermarket, a bakery, a pizzeria, a Baar café, and the hotel. If you like quiet and secluded surroundings, this is the place for you. I really would have liked to write a better review and give it more stars, but I'm trying to be objective and honest for others.

The staff is nice. Their restaurant is of good quality. They have a Finnish sauna, which they heat up on request. Mainau is easily accessible on foot. Hotel guests can park in the underground garage, 10 euros/night (I understand there is an additional charge for electric cars).

I was 'just' here for dinner. I spontaneously got a table for two and had a very, very good meal. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive; we felt very comfortable here. There's not much to say about the food. It was incredibly delicious. The concept behind it, using regional, sustainable ingredients, is simply brilliant. I'd love to come back.

We were there last night spontaneously and without a reservation and got a seat on the terrace - which we were very happy about. The food was super tasty, the portions are really big and the service was really super friendly. We'll definitely be back. Vegans will definitely get their money's worth here too.

We absolutely loved the Ko’Ono! The Hawaiian flair hit us as soon as we walked in - super cozy, lovingly decorated and just something different. The highlight for us was definitely the BBQ from the smoker – incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned and really aromatic. You can taste that people cook with passion here. The staff was super warm and attentive, we felt completely at home. If you're looking for something special, you've come to the right place. Mahalo for the great evening! We can't rate the hotel because we only went here to eat!!

Unfortunately disappointed with the room. Price performance doesn't suit us. Shower is a no go, no pressure, alternating hot and cold. Sofa bed uncomfortable. For that price I would expect a small fridge in the room. Sockets in the room worked a maximum of 1-2 times. Stars are given for friendly staff and good breakfast. One night OK, no longer. Environment nice and relaxed and quiet.

A very cozy hotel in the quiet and beautiful Litzelstetten. Perfect location—just 20 minutes to the old town. Litzelstetten has its own beach on the lake and plenty of water activities. The thermal baths are a 20-minute bus ride away, and you can reach Mainau Island on foot in just 20 minutes through a picturesque forest. A huge advantage is the hotel's restaurant, which offers delicious food with an incredibly beautiful presentation.

We stayed in this great hotel for one night at the beginning of January 2025. I found it online because we had tickets for Christmas Garden on Mainau Island. The decisive factor for the selection was the geographical proximity to the island of Mainau. We got the winter special, which was a great price. Comfort room, 1st floor with nice French balcony, underground parking space and breakfast. Room: very large, well equipped with a sofa, table, desk, etc. Coffee machine, everything you need. Nice clean bathroom. Modern furnishings. Quiet location, no noise in the room (it went out the back), very well heated, which we really appreciated in the evening after the pouring rain on the Mainau. Staff: everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful, check-in was uncomplicated at the reception, delicious welcome drink, very friendly staff at breakfast in the morning who explained everything very well and was very attentive. Everything was very clean and is always replenished. The breakfast tastes excellent, there is a huge variety on offer and very tasty food in the form of a self-service buffet. We were totally thrilled! By the way, it also has vegetarian/vegan options, which I really liked! In terms of guests, it was almost exclusively young people (20-40 years old, approximately); at 58 and 78 years old, we were probably some of the oldest guests, but that was okay for us. The hotel is very child-friendly, there were numerous families with small children, and dogs are also allowed here. Overall: we felt very comfortable and it was absolutely the right hotel for our purpose. Thank you very much, we will be happy to recommend you!

First we had to wait quite a long time for our food. Then it arrived lukewarm to cold. I don't think the price/performance is appropriate for this. The starter salad was a good portion but not quite as fresh. Overall, I can give 2 stars for the food. With the best will in the world, it wasn't enough for more, neither in terms of quality nor taste. Once and not again.

We came as a family of three (child 16 months) and all in all we had a very great stay. Service is top and super delicious food for both breakfast and dinner. Insider tip for families with children as there is an extra corner next to the dining room for the little ones to play. I was finally able to eat in peace :)

Auch haben wir die Sauna ausprobiert. Klein und fein. Das Frühstück bietet eine gute Auswahl. Das Personal könnte noch ein wenig selbstsicherer auftreten. Mir hat das Teesortiment sehr gut gefallen. Der Kaffee hat mich leider nicht überzeugt.

Es war die schlimmste Nacht meines Lebens. Zimmer Nummer 211! Es war so laut wegen den anderen Gästen u das Zimmer war ein kleiner hasenstall. Der Küchengeschmack war permanent zu riechen in dem Zimmer. Ich kann’s echt nicht empfehlen

The food is great, had the Hawaiian and barbecue selections and I loved pretty much everything. As a hotel it is also great - rooms are big, clean and comfortable, garage is also great, which is not always a given for a largish SUV. Decent price too which makes it a great value. Oh and very dog friendly, a doggy bed was waiting for us in the room :) The theming is kind of interesting, although I'd personally go all out on it ;) E.g. the restaurant plays 80s pop music instead of Hawaiian steel drums (or Mele kalikimaka as Christmas is approaching), but I guess not everyone would appreciate it!

The Hotel Ko’ono is in a very good location, only about 10 minutes walk from the lake. The room was very nice and clean. A dog bed was provided for our dog. Our girl is very picky and we were very surprised that she accepted it and slept happily in it. Our bed was actually super comfortable and we slept almost like we were at home on the first night! The breakfast also left nothing to be desired. The emphasis is on regionality and sustainability. We would also like to give high praise to the kitchen. We had dinner twice at Ko'ono's restaurant. Everything was fresh and tasted very good. The 890 gram porterhouse steak was exactly how we wanted it. It was excellently prepared. The employees are very attentive and approachable and strive to accommodate every wish. You feel very welcome here as a guest, even with a dog! We would love to come back. So, a very clear recommendation for the hotel and restaurant!

Very family-friendly Hawaiian-style hotel and restaurant: In the lobby there is a closet with board games that you can also take with you to your room. In the room there was a small Pixi booklet waiting for our child on the extra bed as a welcome gift. Room was spacious and equipped with the essentials. From the small balcony you could see directly between the houses and onto the bridge on the island of Mainau. The restaurant has a spacious play area with offerings for all ages. There is a children's menu with various dishes at fair prices. There is a large, meat-heavy menu. But there are also some delicacies for vegetarians. The hotel is located just outside of Konstanz. There are several public playgrounds in the district. A bus station can be reached in 1 minute on foot. This takes you to the center of Konstanz in about 20-30 minutes. The island of Mainau can be reached by bus in just a few minutes. But it can also be reached on foot with a 15-20 minute walk through a nature reserve.

Das Restaurant ist mit schlichten Holzbänken und hockern eingerichtet. Leider haben diese keine Lehne und sind eher hart. Wir haben wenig typische Hawaiianische Gerichte gesehen. Die Karte war teils mit gelber Schrift geschrieben und daher schwer lesbar. Das Licht ist eher dunkel innen im Restaurant. Am Nachbartisch haben die Leute dafür die Handy Lampe genommen, das war eine gute Idee. Wir hatten 2 Burger. Der Fleischpastete war innen kalt und roh, der Käse auf dem anderen Burger war komplett kalt. Es war mehr Brötchen als Belag. Dafür war der Preis aus unserer Sicht sehr hoch. Wir haben 30 Minutenauf das Essen und die Getränke gewartet. Die Bedienung wirkte gestresst und konnte nicht so gut deutsch sprechen, daher hat sie auf unsere Kritik auch nur drei mal geantwortet „Ja das ist halt nicht ihr Geschmack“ . Es gab keine Möglichkeit das Fleisch und den Käse noch mal aufwärmen zu lassen oder einen Ersatz zu bekommen. Das war sehr enttäuschend. Wir haben gebeten die Kritik an den Küchenchef oder Besitzer weiter zu geben, dies wurde verneint. Daher hoffe ich , dass dies gelesen wird und sich Service und Qualität dadurch bessern können.

Service: Der war zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht. Location: Die Location ist modern und einzigartig. Der Hawaii Style hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es waren viele Holzelemente vorhanden. Essen: Das Essen wurde zügig serviert. Wir mussten nicht lange warten. Am Essen selbst war nichts auszusetzen. Es war vorzüglich. Ich habe selten so einen guten Burger gegessen als dort. Auch die hawaiianischen Speisen waren sehr lecker. Das hawaiianische Bier ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Auch das belgische Bier war ein Genuss. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Die Portionen sind angemessen und man wird satt. Die Speisen wurden sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Parken: Es gibt eine Tiefgarage, wo man kostenlos parken kann. Zahlungsmöglichkeiten: Eine Kartenzahlung ist auch.

Wir sind aus der Region und kennen das Restaurant daher gut. Mit dem Essen sind wir in der Regel immer zufrieden - so auch heute. Die Qualität des Essens und auch die Aufmachung sind sehr gut. Was die Erfahrung jedoch immer trübt, ist der unaufmerksame Service, welcher maßlos überfordert wirkt. Auf das Essen haben wir über eine Stunde gewartet und erst nachdem ich nachfragte, wurde es dann serviert. Eine Entschuldigung oder Erklärung haben wir nicht erhalten. In dieser Stunde Wartezeit kam leider auch keine Bedienung, um uns aufzuklären, woran das läge, sondern es wurde sich nur am Tresen unterhalten. Auch der Bezahlvorgang hat sich erneut über eine halbe Stunde gezogen. Erst hieß es, man könne nicht abkassieren, weil eine andere Person zuständig sei und nach 3-maligem Nachfragen, kam dann eben die besagte erste Bedienung doch zum Kassieren. Alles in Allem waren wir von diesem Abend trotz guten Essen sehr enttäuscht.

So that was an absolute failure. Auspicious card. Delicious beer and friendly service. Unfortunately the food, which was served after 45 minutes, was really disappointing. The smashed burger was an absolutely dry affair and the taste was dominated by the half-centimeter thick cucumber and the strange cheese sauce, which simply masked any other taste. A pity. The bun was dusty and probably several days old. The surf n turf burger actually came with shrimp baked with cheese... Instead of serving them separately. An absolute disappointment in terms of taste. And like the other burger, the taste just didn't match. You can also throw all the ingredients into a blender and serve it like that. The children's burger at least had tomatoes and lettuce, but it was rather too big to eat or more suitable for older children. 75 euros for the food and the quality was really disappointing. A good chef would really break down the composition. And you can easily achieve better results as a hobby chef. We weren't asked if we liked the food, but that was obvious given the uneaten food. We got annoyed, paid and left.
