Great hotel, excellent cuisine, service staff super attentive and friendly, and the location directly at the small harbor in Konstanz-Wallhausen simply top - our view from the balcony see picture

Very clean, great view, friendly staff, excellent food in the restaurant, bus stops to Konstanz right outside, ferry to Überlingen a 5-minute walk away, unfortunately only one free power outlet in our room. But otherwise everything was perfect 👌

Beautifully located hotel in a relaxing corner of Lake Constance, with wonderful rooms with balconies and stunning lake views. Friendly host family, good breakfast, and, to top it all off, a restaurant serving modern local gourmet cuisine at reasonable prices – but be sure to reserve in advance.

We stayed here in July 2025 with 6 adults. The hosts and staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast had everything you need and special requests were accommodated. The room could have used one or two more power outlets. We had one in the bathroom and one in the room. Since we were traveling with bicycles, an additional extension in the bike room would have been helpful. Despite it being peak season, the hotel was closed two days a week (perhaps due to a lack of staff). The location is very nice with a view of the lake and harbor. There is a ferry to Uberlingen, the last one back at around 5:40 p.m. Otherwise, there is a good bus connection to Konstanz. The bus stop is right outside the door (a bit noisy in the mornings). The town doesn't offer much variety, so you should be active.

We ate at the restaurant. Great service. I've rarely experienced such friendly and accommodating staff in a restaurant. The food was fantastic. Special requests were accommodated without any problems, and the prices were perfectly reasonable. I can highly recommend it to everyone.

It was my first time there. And definitely not the last ;) The staff was super friendly. Cheerful and accommodating. The rooms are clean, and the amenities are also good. I'll be back next year for business and I know I'll definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Haven't been so well looked after in a restaurant for a long time

The food is exceptionally good. I can't comment on the rooms, but the location is very nice near the lake.

This restaurant has strange customs: you're not seated on the terrace, and the tables don't have "reserved" signs, so you sit down. What happened next: the very friendly staff informed us that unfortunately the entire place was fully reserved, but offered us an alternative seat in the lounge area to the side, where we could also eat. A very friendly offer! Then the same waitress came over to tell us that, unfortunately, this wasn't possible due to the "boss's" instructions! Conclusion: the staff and the owner should consider reversing roles, because this is a permanent way of driving away guests! 5 stars for the service staff, 0 stars for the owners!

I had a few very nice days at the Landhotel Bodensee. My room was very clean. The queen-size bed was great. The bathroom was small, but everything was there. Very good breakfast buffet, many of which were served in small portions in glass jars. But that was fine with me. Fine selection. The cheese, for example, is delicious. The jams are delicious. And all of this in the morning on the beautiful terrace with a fantastic view over the harbor and Lake Constance. Two dinners: a mixed salad with something different with nuts (great taste, superb house sauce), excellent roast beef with onions, and today spinach dumplings with Gran Pandano and chanterelle mushroom sauce. That was my favorite. For dessert, I had a strawberry sundae with a difference. The restaurant deserves more than 5 stars in my opinion. Very friendly, attentive waiters. Without even writing down my order, everything came as requested. Even special requests were accommodated. I would be happy to come back.

We called specifically to let them know we wouldn't be arriving until after 9 p.m. because we wanted to go to a restaurant first. The reception was friendly.

From the friendly welcome to the delicious dinner, the quiet room, and the varied breakfast buffet, it was a wonderful stay.

A really dated location full of old people eating that don't even stay in the hotel. We couldn't have diner until after 8:20 pm. The room is dated and the shower is really dangerous because the floor is so slippery.

The Landhotel Bodensee, Wallhausen impresses with excellent cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy are the onion roast, which was prepared to perfection, as well as the tartare with sour cream and egg yolk, which was of the best quality and a real highlight in terms of taste. The infrastructure also leaves nothing to be desired - there are plenty of parking spaces on site, which makes your stay particularly comfortable. The lake view of Überlingen is also magnificent ☺️ The service staff also deserve high praise. Despite not taking notes, the team keeps all orders in mind and ensures everything runs smoothly. Friendliness and professionalism are the focus here. Unfortunately, espresso is run of the mill and comes without crema. I hope for improvement there. Overall, a thoroughly successful visit – clear recommendation!

We were just here for dinner; we weren't hotel guests. The food here is of very high quality and truly delicious. The price is a bit higher than in other restaurants, but the taste and quality are reasonable. The staff is very professional and very polite. The food was prepared relatively quickly.

Location: OK Restaurant: Very good food, competent service Hotel: Meh. Rooms are very basic, with tiled floors and only enough room for one person in the bathroom. They're in need of renovations, but they're considerably overpriced. Breakfast: Very simple, including dried-out ham... No need to repeat.

First the good: the location is nice. But that's where it ends. The rooms are carelessly furnished, the beds are a disaster. It squeaks and creaks, the mattress is far too soft for that. Despite the heating being turned up to full blast, the room remained freezing cold. The prices are extremely reasonable; the rooms would be worth, at best, half of the advertised price. The ambience is topped off by the staff, who are publicly annoyed by the guests. Goodbye? Absolutely not!

We stayed at the hotel with friends for a week. We really liked the room on the 3rd floor with a balcony. (Unfortunately no elevator, but every walk makes you slim) The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and was served on the terrace in fantastic weather. We also really enjoyed the evenings on the terrace with a view of the lake and excellent food.

I have been there several times on business and am very satisfied. Gladly again …

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The rooms were cleaned properly every day and the service and food were very good. The location is also perfect, we would be happy to recommend it at any time. Many thanks to the whole team!

We used to love the food, but unfortunately it wasn't nearly as good this time. The salad, once a highlight, was completely washed out, with mediocre dressing and lukewarm. The risotto also didn't taste great and the meat was very hard and dry. Only the ice cream was great again. In addition, it was so loud because of the many guests that it was very difficult to have a conversation.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. Our wish for an extra quiet room was fully fulfilled and despite high occupancy we were able to extend by one night. We were in the “boathouse” annex, way back and away from the street. Thanks!!!! Also for the good breakfast, the kindness of everyone and the good salads, which we could always enjoy on the beautiful terrace overlooking the marina.

We only went to eat on a recommendation, the chef and son worked at Traube Tonbach. The menu was a taste explosion, sensationally high quality, beautiful ambience and a great terrace with a view of the lake. The food deserves 5 stars.

Very clean and functional room with a great direct view of the lake. Reception was nice but not very informative. Beautiful walks around the hiking trails and direct ferry to Überlingen. The bus stop in front of the hotel was a bit annoying.

Went here for dinner and we were thrilled. The main courses are sensationally good, at least what we ate. The onion roast was phenomenal, the rabbit leg tasted almost as good as it did at mom's house. There are small drawbacks for the side dishes, both the spaetzle and the polenta were okay, but not as good as the meat. We were a little disappointed with the desserts, which could be improved in the future; the rhubarb compote could be more generous. But since the main courses were so good, it's still five stars and we will definitely come back. The service was also very friendly and attentive. The decor doesn't necessarily suit my taste, it's a bit old-fashioned, but as we all know, tastes differ. We will definitely come back

Wonderful place, facing the lake, with a spectacular view. Public transport is very convenient and runs from the town to the city of Costanza with particular punctuality.

Einfaches aber top Landhotel. Zimmer sehr sauber und geräumig. Waren sehr zufrieden komme gerne wieder. Das Essen ist super lecker. Hatte einen butterzahrten Zwiebelrostbraten, super lecker und top.

Wir wurden zum Essen eingeladen und aus eigener Beurteilung werde ich fünf wohl verdiente Sterne geben. Das Essen karm sehr schnell und das Personal war sehr freundlich gesinnt. Wer ein Restaurant besucht oder eine Hotel Übernachtung anstreben will, wird sich dort sehr Heimisch fühlen.

Das Landhotel Bodensee übertrifft jegliche Erwartungen an feine Küche. Die Vorspeise, ein delikates Rinder Tartar, war ein kulinarischer Höhepunkt, meisterhaft zubereitet und ein wahrer Genuss. Der Hauptgang, das Wildschwein, war ein Fest für die Sinne, zart und aromatisch. Die Weinbegleitung ergänzte das Mahl perfekt mit exzellent ausgewählten Tropfen. Mein Dank geht an das talentierte Team, besonders an Alexej, für einen unvergesslichen Abend voller kulinarischer Freuden. Fünf Sterne sind hier mehr als verdient!

Hotel liegt an der Einzige Ortsstraße, mit Blick auf den See, das Zimmer ist für einen Kurz Urlaub für 4 Personen ausreichend. Leider gibt es bei der Sauberkeit des Zimmers und dem Treppenhaus nur 3 von 5 Sterne. Das Restaurant ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet, es ist jeden Abend ausgebucht deshalb bietet sich eine Reservierung an. Das Essen ist sehr lecker es hat Sterne Niveau, selbst beim Kinder Schnitzel gibt es frisches Gemüse dazu. Der Service ist Top. Der Chef kocht Selbst. Mit dem Bus kommt man 4x in der Stunde nach Konstanz dies ist für Hotelgäste dank der Bodensee Karte kostenlos.

Wenn ein Restaurant eine übersichtliche , regionale und saisonale Karte anbietet , ist man an der richtigen Adresse. Hier macht man sich, wie es sich gehört, die Arbeit und kocht noch Rinderknochen ein. Somit hat schon die Flädlesupp wie es ein Schwabe schreibt völlig überzeugt. Als Hauptgang gab es dann Wildschweinrücken , Schäufele und Salvelinus. Es wurde quer über den Tisch probiert und alle hatten dieses glückliche und zufriedene Lächeln im Gesicht. Auch beim Nachtisch , blieb bei allen der Gesichtsausdruck. Der erste aber nicht der letzte Besuch in einem Restaurant wo vom Ambiente über das Personal bis zur Küche alles stimmt. Wir haben mehrmals dort Gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen und sind an allen Tagen nicht Enttäuscht worden. Sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich und immer lecker

Bei der Aussicht hat man oftmals die Erfahrung gemacht, dass das auch das beste ist, was das Restaurant zu bieten hat. Hier ist es absolut umgekehrt, dass hervorragende Essen und die professionelle Bedienung degradiert die Aussicht zu einem netten Beiwerk. Es ist schön eine so gut geführte Gastronomie zu erleben!

Ich war Anfang August zum ersten Mal zum Essen mit Freunden im Landhotel Bodensee. Allein die Lage gegenüber dem Hafen ist empfehlenswert. Wir saßen auf der Terrasse. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und hatte ungefragt alles im Blick. Ich kann das Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Ein solides, etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Haus. Das Zimmer war i.O. ohne Besonderheiten. Leider weder Kühlschrank noch Wasserkocher. Zimmer mit Blick auf den See wird mit lauter Straße vor dem Haus "bezahlt". In Sachen Service ist reichlich Luft nach oben. Als wir vollgepackt mit Koffern und Taschen ankamen, war der einzige Kommentar: "Eine Aufzug haben wir nicht". Dass meine Frau und ich gehbehindert sind, hat nicht dazu geführt, dass jemand vom Haus "anpackt". Zum Glück checkten auch ein paar junge Männer ein, die meiner Frau den Koffer hochtrugen. Entschädigt wird man durch die famose Küche, das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Da steht ein echter Könner am Herd. Saibling, Zander, Zwiebelrostbraten - durchweg große Klasse! Beim Frühstück hakt es allerdings etwas; das könnte besser organisiert sein. Halbkalte, halbharte Frühstückseier aus dem Körbchen sind auch nicht der Hit. Kurzum: Übernachten - na ja; Essen - unbedingt.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt mit Blick auf den Wallhausener Hafen. Das Bett im Dopoelzimmer war sehr bequemt und das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Als Basislager für das Bodensee Openwater Q2.5/Q5 am 26.8 ideal, weil der Bootsanleger für die frühmorgenliche Fährfahrt nach Uebelingen zu Fuß 300m entfernt war. Man kann auch wunderbar zu Fuß ins Strandbad in ca. 5 Minuten gehen zum Früh- oder Abendschwimmen. Selbst wenn das Wetter etwas unbeständig ist, hat die Lage am Bodensee etwas erholsames.

Mir hat es gut gefallen. Bus nach Konstanz und zu See direkt vor der Haustür. Gutes Restaurant im Haus. Lage direkt am Hafen. Nicht weit zu Freibad am See.

Di. + Mi. Ruhetag. Zimmer: Auf der rückwärtigen Seite. Sicht ins Grüne. Erfreulich. Groß, (da Doppelbett). Kühlschrank funktioniert. (Es war warm draussen). Personal: Freundlich Zimmer: Fensterfront heizt sich auf, der Ventilator (gehört auch mal entstaubt) im Großraum bringt keine Kühlung. Schlafen nicht möglich. Kein kostenfreies Getränk bei der Hitze. Keine mobile Klimaanlage. Zimmer heizt gefühlt auf über 40 Grad auf. Wir haben ein sehr kleines Kind. An Schlafen nicht zu denken. Kann das Hotel leider deswegen nicht empfehlen. Wir überlegen, vorzeitig abzureisen, da wir Erholung Nötig haben und dieses hier nicht möglich ist. Bett passabel, sah schlecht zusammengebaut aus. Ritzen und Spalten. Eher schon auseinander Gelebt. Schlafen nicht möglich, da das Bett sehr laut ist. Bad: Die Duschkabine eine Katastrophe. Das ganze Badezimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr Erneuerungsbedürftig!!! Kein Wohlgefühl. Ach und noch eines. Es fehlt an Steckdosen!!!

Das Hotel liegt Landschaftlich sehr schön direkt am See und Yachthafen. Doch die Hauptstraße mit Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Haus relativiert das ganze. Klar hat das auch seine Vorteile. Die Zimmer mit Seeblick sollte man, wenn man Nachts Ruhe liebt, meiden. Die Restaurant-Terrasse tut das übrige dazu. Das Reinigungspersonal sollte unbedingt vom Haus geschult und instruiert werden. Hier gab es einiges zu beanstanden. (versteckte Ecken) Über das Restaurant kann man wirklich nicht meckern. Hier war alles sehr lecker. Was ich noch vermisst habe ist eine freundliche und fröhliche Art der Familie. Man hat sich nie willkommen gefühlt. Ein Lächeln würde hier einiges bewirken. Die Preise sind fair und absolut in Ordnung.

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche im Landhotel Bodensee. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, die Einrichtung etwas älter, aber in Ordnung. Die Betten waren bequem, die Kissen waren mir persönlich etwas zu sehr gefüllt, aber damit kann man leben. Es gibt einen Föhn im Bad. Der Ausblick vom Balkon des Zimmers auf den Yachthafen und den See ist super. Das Housekeeping dürfte etwas genauer sein, die Sauberkeit war noch in Ordnung, aber lange nicht perfekt. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Solide Auswahl, manche Sachen auf Bestellung, Eier gibt's beispielsweise nur hartgekocht am Buffet. Vermutlich noch aus Coronazeiten beibehalten ist die Vorportionierung von vielem wie Marmeladen, u.ä. in kleine Gläschen. Die Qualität der Produkte hat größtenteils gepasst, lediglich die Früchte kamen mir teilweise nicht ganz so frisch vor. Die Anbindung des Hotels ist optimal. Direkt vor der Haustür finden sich die Bushaltestellen des Ortes in alle Richtungen, so ist man schnell und günstig in Konstanz (Fahrkarten sind im Zimmerpreis enthalten). Da die Busse lange fahren, kann das Nachts bei geöffneten Fenstern allerdings störend sein. Am Hafen in Laufreichweite (vllt 200 m) fährt zudem ein kleines Schiff nach Überlingen und zurück. Das Strandbad ist ebenfalls fußläufig leicht erreichbar, ist kostenfrei und hat einen angeschlossenen Kanu/Kajak/SUP-Verleih. Insgesamt ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis gut und wir würden wiederkommen. Das Restaurant haben wir an einem Abend ebenfalls ausprobiert. Hier waren wir sehr zufrieden. Für einen Montagabend war ziemlich viel los, Respekt an das Team für die Koordination und Geschwindigkeit. Das Personal war freundlich und schnell, das Essen sehr lecker und die Preise angemessen. Gestört hat uns lediglich die Parkplatzsituation am Samstagabend. Hier ist das Restaurant übergequollen und somit die Parkplätze alle vollständig blockiert. Hier wären ein paar reservierte Plätze für Hotelgäste vielleicht sinnvoll. Nicht weit entfernt ist der Parkplatz des Strandbades, der zwar ab 18 Uhr am Abend nichts mehr kostet, für einen Restaurantgast aber mehr Sinn machen würde als für die Hotelgäste, da der Restaurantgast am Abend wieder fährt und der Hotelgast dann spät in der Nacht oder am frühen Morgen umparken muss.

Bestes Essen weit und breit. Fein, ausgewogen und preislich angemessen. Top Service. Sehr freundlich und professionell.

Wir haben ein solides und sehr leckeres Abendessen, ausdrücklich auch mit tollem Service, genießen dürfen. Ein perfekter Abend wäre es gewesen, wenn sich der Chef-Kellner, wenn er sich nicht gerade um seine Premium-Gäste am Nebentisch gekümmert hat, nicht bei jedem Betreten des Gastraums sein Theken- und Küchenpersonal lautstark gemaßregelt und sie auf seinen Stress hingewiesen hätte. Man sagt ja, Gäste sollen nett zum Servicepersonal sein, da es leichter ist, neue Gäste zu finden. Hier gilt die Regel wohl für Vorgesetzte nicht.

Bei niedrigen Bewertungen folgen scheinbar zwar entschuldigen, aber keine Veränderungen. Freundlichkeit geht Richtung null, das bezieht sich auf Begrüßung, Service und Verabschiedung. Kein herzliches Willkommen, kein darf es noch etwas sein beim Frühstück und auch keine Nachfrage, ob es gefallen hat beim Checkout. Somit ist die persönliche Aussprache eben ausgeblieben und die Bewertung erfolgt hier. Lediglich die Frage wie abkassiert werden konnte wurde gestellt. Sauberkeit beim Frühstück unzureichend. Schmierige Tische der vorherigen Besucher und Krümel. Apartment okay, ginge freundlicher einzurichten. Standort top! Drei Nächte für 475€, incl. Frühstück ist mir bei dem Service leider überteuert.

Auf Durchreise von der Karte angetan gewesen und extra hier einen Abstecher gemacht. Die positiven Bewertungen sind allemal gerechtfertigt. Der Service trotz voller Terasse schnell und sehr freundlich. Gelegenheit serviert der Chefkoch höchstpersönlich, was es noch sympathischer macht. Essen war die reinste Geschmacksexplosion! Fürs Auge war, s. Foto ebenfalls was geboten. Sehr zu empfehlen!
