Unfortunately we had to turn the 5 stars into 3 stars 😞! After a year's break, we booked and visited Cengos again with great anticipation based on our visit two years ago. Cengos is actually a premium steakhouse with corresponding pricing. We were welcomed in a friendly and pleasant manner. The ambience was a bit surprising for us, 2-3 tables were set with tablecloths including glasses for water and wine. as you can expect for a premium restaurant or as we did from our visit at the time. We were given a bare table without anything except the cutlery for 2 people. Accordingly, the desire for the full program disappeared right at the beginning, as originally planned. Unfortunately, to my chagrin, my wife was in a good mood until then. The drink order was on the table quickly! Unfortunately, the service did not present any recommendations from the kitchen, as was the case with guests who arrived a little later. Accordingly, we ordered the food that the menu provided: - Chicken burgers -Double burgers - each with fries The food came after just a few minutes! - On a plastic cafeteria tray - The burgers in an open paper bag - The fries are nice in a small sideboard We couldn't believe it all and felt like we were at Burger King or McDonald's. Unfortunately, our empty glasses were ignored by the service and we didn't feel like lingering any longer. The net visit would actually only have lasted from 5:45 p.m. to 6:10 p.m., but by fighting for a cappuccino and an espresso, we extended the visit to 6:25 p.m. We are actually used to staying longer in the upscale catering sector, drinking/eating extensively and then having to make new plans for the evening. 2 years ago we all got the finest here and spent the evening comfortably. Unfortunately there was nothing left of it today!!! The quality of the food was absolutely excellent, but the presentation was a disaster. We would have expected at least plates! Maybe the operator has changed or it is a new concept. If it is a new concept, then we are no longer in the upscale gastronomy sector, but in the upscale fast food sector. Conclusion: We personally were very disappointed with Cengos and the service this evening. The only thing we would like to single out in terms of service is the only young lady who was in service from 6 p.m. She had only embodied and shown attention. In our experience, a premium restaurant also has appropriate service and, above all, an appropriate ambience, including setting the tables. Unfortunately, none of that was available here today! So far, the visit to Cengos has been a fixed date every year, we'll have to think about it! We would like to make it clear once again that the quality of the food is top and high quality!!!! ------------------------------------------------ Sensational! We were guests last night and it was a perfect evening. Very pleasant service who gave us a great table inside. Then the culinary journey began in perfection. Appetizer: Caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella And Beef Lokum (sensationally to the point) Main course: Buffalo platter for 2 (2 buffalo steaks at least 180g each, pasta, shrimp, vegetables and buffalo mozzarella). Everything served perfectly to the point. Dessert: NY cheesecake on salted caramel Everything was top class! The ambience is also very nice and rustic. Nice and service that is attentive without being intrusive. We often visit the fine European gastronomy and can say with conviction that Cengos can compete with upscale gastronomy with these dishes. Price-performance ratio is very, very good. The next visit is planned! P.s. In picture 2 you can only see part of the buffalo plate on the plate. Since the plate was no longer complete when the picture was taken, I took a picture of the plate.

We were really looking forward to some delicious meat, but but. We ordered the Chateaubriand for 2,600 grams, 104 euros. Have never ever experienced that a Chateaubriand of 600 grams consists of 7 end pieces. When we told the waiter about this, he had no understanding at all, went off to talk to the chef and came back with a long explanation about everything and wanted to give something or other. We politely declined this and of course paid for what we had not received. Namely, a real piece of Chateaubriand. It should be said that we both have butcher training, so we know what we are talking about. We will never come again, such a high price for 7 end pieces Chateubriand, it's just not right. We thank you many times for your reply. But you still haven't gotten the message. When you get 7 endnotes it is because you have given us leftovers from several other pieces of Chateubriand, you should be ashamed of yourselves and your profession, and make sure to serve what people have ordered.

📍Cengos Steakhouse 🇩🇪 @cengossteakhouse . Finally we get to have a 1.2kg Tomahawk without any judgement 😆 (Yup, when we tried to order a 1.2kg tomahawk in Bangkok we usually get a comment like it's too big for just the two of us 😝) . The meat is of good quality, tender and juicy. We ordered a medium rare. The price is fair, the wine is good, although the sparkling wine could have been more chilled/cold (I blame the weather 😝). Bread and butter are good. The staffs are friendly. Too bad it's a bit too hot inside and also super hot outside. If there is a small fan inside, it would have been perfect. But I guess that's a part of summer. We will definitely come back again 😋 #mmwhattoeatingermany

Glad we discovered this steakhouse. My steak (Wagyu) was to die for. The side dishes are fresh and homemade. Chimichurri, Café de Paris and the garlic butter tasted excellent! Very attentive and friendly service and a nice flow of very tasty courses! Very nice, cozy evening, we would love to come back!

The steakhouse impresses with excellent meat dishes. The burgers and steaks are extremely tasty and perfectly prepared. To top it all off, you should definitely try the homemade cheesecake, which is really excellent.

It was very good again. From the starter to the main course, everything was perfect. Were not the first and certainly not the last time there. The meat was perfect as always.

Since I've visited Cengo's Steakhouse very, very often, it's time for a review. Basically, there is only one small thing that I have to complain about, but nonetheless, as I said, it is a small thing, which is why it still gives 5 out of 5 stars in all categories. First of all, I find the atmosphere in the restaurant (very clean, by the way) very suitable and pleasant. Since I've been there many times now, the young waiter seems to know us well and always remembers us - which of course makes us very happy and whatever we can give back. The service is not only attentive, but also quick and competent and is happy to fulfill small "special requests" here and there (extra ice or lemon in the drink, etc.) The food is really more than just very good and as Cengos advertises, it's not just the best steaks in town, but the best steaks I know. However, there are not only steaks, but also good starters and also the best smashed burger, which I always like to have as there is no such thing nearby, although Konstanz has many different burger shops. The desserts are also very tasty and, like the rest of the meal, always hit the spot. Together with the atmosphere and the service, I always enjoy visiting Cengos and am already looking forward to the next time. The only little thing I noticed is the adjusted prices, but that's understandable. Not only do we have higher costs to pay, but so does Cengo's Steakhouse. Of course, a price increase is always annoying, but nevertheless understandable and absolutely justified due to the quality. Maybe I'm still "spoiled" by the prices in the steakhouse 2-3 years ago, but that was a while ago. Cengos Steakhouse gets a very clear recommendation from me and we look forward to eating the Smashed Burger or the Denver Steak again soon!

Nice atmosphere, team on the ball, delicious food!

My girlfriend and I spent an evening together in the restaurant. We each ordered a starter and a main course. Some baguette bread and olives were served beforehand. The Caesar salad was good, the chicken that was ordered with it was very good. The pimientos were at best standard, unfortunately the salt was too economical. The truffle pasta was equally good. But now to the crucial point, which is why I can only give it 2 stars. The Wagyu (supposedly A5) tasted like a normal and average rump steak, which I can get in any mediocre restaurant for €20-25. With all my love, that was just cheeky in terms of price/performance. Please don't get me wrong, the steak was tender and tasted good. For an adequate price I would have given a lot more purely for the taste. For a Wagyu of this category, that was just a disgrace. What I found just as irritating was that we were immediately called names and treated like we were in a student dorm. This also matched the feeling of sitting back to back at a very slanted table outside. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant!

Rating: 5 stars Cengo's Steakhouse I absolutely loved my visit to Cengo’s Steakhouse! The meat was exceptionally tender and perfectly cooked. You can immediately tell that only the best ingredients are used here. The service was equally impressive: the staff was very friendly, attentive and took excellent care of us. The ambience in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, ideal for a relaxing evening. An absolute must for every meat lover! I'll definitely come back.

The steakhouse was fully booked today and also very popular, which is understandable given the food. I ate a Waygu rump steak with chimichurri and it was very tasty, I just said to the waiter, “It tastes better than chocolate.” I also ordered a fillet steak with skin-on fries and Café de Paris sauce, I have to say I haven't come across something so delicious very often. Finally there was a Mojito and a Baileys. If I didn't live so far away, I would eat there more often. Thank you for the delicious food and keep it up. I'll give you another tip: reserve a table otherwise it could well be fully booked.

Leicht abgelegen vom Stadtzentrum ein klasse Steakhaus, die so braten wie gewünscht. Getränkelistz ist gemessen am heute üblichen ok(offene Weine). Der Service ist nett, aber nun auch nicht top of the notch. Wie gesagt, es geht um Steaks und da ist man hier richtig.

Wir waren als Gruppe zum Abendessen dort. Das Lokal ist optisch mittelmäßig eingerichtet. Aber über Geschmack lässt sich streiten. Der Service war mit Abstand der schlechteste den wir (in einheitlicher Meinung der Gruppe) jemals in solch einer Preisklasse von Lokalen erlebt haben. Vollkommen überforderte Mitarbeiter im Service! Zu wenige Mitarbeiter waren es bei weitem nicht. Auch das Lokal war alles andere als ausgebucht. Von unaufmerksam bis ungeschickt war alles dabei. Andere Gäste standen sogar auf um das Personal aufzufordern mal an den Tisch zu kommen weil sie bestellen wollen. Es gab noch zahlreiche weitere negative Beispiele an diesem Abend. Die Qualität der Speisen war hervorragend! Dafür wirklich 5 von 5 Punkten! 👏🏻😋 Die Beilagen sind eindeutig und bei weitem zu klein. Fazit: Hochpreisige sehr schmackhafte Küche mit dem gleichen Problem wie viele andere Lokale auch…kein gutes Personal im Service. In dieser Preisklasse für mich so nicht akzeptabel.

Completely overrated. The fillet was more like a sirloin steak. There were 6 of us and none of us were convinced of the quality of the meat. However, the service was very good.

The steakhouse had given incorrect opening times online. We made a long journey of an hour just to eat there. When we finally arrived, we found that the restaurant was still open, but the kitchen was already closed - apparently two minutes late. According to the waitress, the grill had been turned off 2 minutes ago. She also said that we should take a look at the homepage next time, which not everyone does. Since we were hungry this was really disappointing and annoying. We therefore cannot recommend visiting this steakhouse as the service is obviously not customer oriented.

The experience at the steakhouse was extremely disappointing. Even though we had come from a long way away, we were turned away due to a minimal delay of just two minutes. The staff was at least friendly. It's unfortunate that we didn't even get a chance to experience the cuisine, let alone taste the food. We definitely will not be returning and cannot recommend this steakhouse to other guests.

If you want to eat a special steak on Lake Constance, this is the right place. We recommend. Gladly again

This was our third time eating here with a group of boys and we all continue to be impressed. This time again everyone enjoyed it very much and the Chateaubriand was again buttery tender. The tartare is also highly recommended. Although you have to think carefully about whether you want the spicy one or the normal one. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed and the staff is friendly and quick, but sometimes a little too hesitant. Gladly again. Reservation recommended.

Very cozy restaurant with very friendly service and one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. It was a perfect evening, everything was really perfect!

Very great food! The food was very delicious and of the best quality. The ambience was decorated with love and chosen very harmoniously. The staff was very friendly and always with a smile! One star deducted because despite the restaurant being half full and dinner very early (6 p.m.) we had to wait an hour for the food... far too long for what was going on. Still a top restaurant, will definitely visit again.

Hervorragende Fleischqualität (Chateaubriand) und leckeres Gemüse mit frischen, knackigen Pommes Frites. Allerdings waren es kaum 600g Fleisch (wie angegeben) sondern sicher weniger. Pommes Frites und Gemüse waren mengenmässig ebenfalls am untersten Ende. Cheesecake zum Schluss war ein Gedicht, allerdings auch hier für den kleinen Hunger. Das Service Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, war aber anzahlmässig eher unterdotiert (immer wieder Wartezeiten). Alles in allem war es ein schöner Abend und empfehlenswert, sofern nicht jemand einen Bärenhunger mitbringt. Etwas grössere Portionen wären schön! Preis war für deutsche Verhältnisse am oberen Ende.

Das Essen war Fantastisch… 1. Gang Rindcarparcio mit Ruccola 😋anschliessend Rindsfilet mit Chimmichurri… so was von lecker. Chimmichuri möchte ich selbst auch so hinbekommen 😉 auch die Frites waren super… nicht in Öl getränkt und sehr geschmackvoll. Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, nett neckisch, witzig… Ambient cool, wir hatten keinen Platz… ohne Reservierung chancenlos…. Dafür aber die Alternative an derBar zu essen… absolut easy. Voll und ganz zu empfehlen!!!

Very tasty steaks, perfectly grilled and a top Meat quality. The service was also very good. Only the tables could have been further apart. We ate a beef fillet and a dry-aged entre côte and were more than satisfied. Perfect for meat lovers.

Cengos Steakhouse is definitely a place I recommend to any steak lover! The food is really tasty - juicy steaks, cooked to perfection and with a selection of delicious sides. The service is very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Das Fleisch (Filet) schmeckte köstlich und war auf den gewünschten Punkt gebraten. Somit war das wichtigste Kriterium für ein Steakhouse erfüllt. Das Lokal ist einladend und die Bedienung schnell. Die Portionen könnten jedoch etwas üppiger ausfallen. Ich hatte schon grössere Stücke, welche mit gleichem Gewicht angeboten wurden. Ebenso könnten die Beilagen, welche zwar sehr lecker waren, etwas grosszügiger sein. Aber manchmal ist weniger mehr, wenn dafür die Qualität stimmt oder ich war einfach zu hungrig! :-) Komme gerne wieder mal.

Rarely have I had such a great evening! Everything is just right here! The ambience hits you straight away when you walk in (the counter area is worth a look), the service is attentive, friendly and makes you feel welcome and of course the incredibly delicious food. The kitchen knows its craft. No matter whether it's the perfectly fried rump steaks or an individually seasoned beef tartare (cut, not minced!). It's not exactly cheap, but here you can really say "quality has its price". For us, the restaurant is definitely worth visiting again.

Wenn man ein ausgezeichnetes Steak genießen möchte und dazu noch einen klasse Service (Danke Dessi) dann sollte man ins Cengos gehen. Sehr zu empfehlen! Gemütlich und stilvoll.

Das Restaurant ist sehr edel eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Der Service ist aufmerksam, nicht aufdringlich. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gegart, der Geschmack war hervorragend. Wir hatten Grill Gemüse und Pommes dazu, beides war sehr gut. Absolut empfehlenswert ist die Sauce Café de Paris.

Als echter Steak Liebhaber und Fein schmecker kann ich das Cengos Steakhouse sehr empfehlen. Das Personal ist extrem gut geschult, alle Fragen werden professionell beantwortet. Das Ambiente läd zum verweilen ein. Mittlerweile konnte ich alle Steak Menüs auf der Karte verzehren und bin wie immer begeistert für jeden Geschmack ist das perfekte Steak dabei. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch 🤤

Der Service spitze, charmant und sehr zuvorkommend. Die Steaks perfekt gebraten und saftig. Sehr schönes Ambiente, gemütlich und coole Musik. Wir kommen auf jeden fall wieder🤗

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt hier nach unserer Erfahrung absolut nicht. Bei unserem Besuch zu viert ging an einem Abend einfach zu viel schief, als das wir eine gute Bewertung schreiben können: Glas Hugo für 7,20 EUR trotz viel Eis nicht mal bis zur 0,2-Markierung gefüllt. Falsche Vorspeise serviert. Gegrillte Garnelen in Knoblauch-Chili-Öl in laufwarmen Öl serviert - von Knoblauch nichts zu sehen oder schmecken. Chateaubriand für 100,- EUR medium-rare bestellt, medium-well serviert. Rinderfilet für 50,- EUR medium bestellt, well-done serviert. Keine Servicekraft zu sehen um das anzusprechen. Nachfrage des Servicepersonal ob Essen passt: Fehlanzeige. Trüffelpasta auf der Karte mit gehobeltem Trüffel angepriesen, nur mit Trüffelöl serviert. Truffle Mac´n Cheese ganz ohne Trüffel serviert. Da war es dann auch schon egal, dass wir den nicht ganz günstigen Wein selbst eingießen mussten und die letzte Stunde gar nichts mehr zu trinken hatten. Restaurant leider von uns nicht weiterzuempfehlen.

Das Abendessen war rundum hervorragend! Die Qualität und Verarbeitung des Fleisches ist absolute Premium Klasse. Die Kellner und Kellnerinnen sind zuvorkommend höflich und herzlich. Die Karte ist dezent mit gewähltem Angebot. Goodtoknow: die Preise können je nach Fleischsorte stark variieren somit vorher die Karte anschauen. Grüße gehen raus an Mo ;)

Bestes Fleisch, da kann keiner mit halten. Was ich euch empfehlen kann ist das Chateaubriand / Rinderfilet für 2 Personen. Schmeckt richtig gut.

Das Essen war fantastisch, aber das absolute Highlight war die herzliche und lustige Desi vom Service. Sie war sehr neben ihrer aufgestellten Art auch noch sehr kompetent! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr guter Service, Qualität wie man sie erwartet und ein angenehmes Ambiente in dem man gerne verweilt. Ich war zweimal innerhalb der letzten 12 Monate dort und es war ein identischer Eindruck bzw. gleichbleibende Qualität.

Sehr feines Essen! Wirklich tolles Rindsfilet. Hätte noch eine 1/4 Garstufe mehr sein können. Die Bedienung ist sehr kompetent. Sie hat uns auch noch tolle Ausgangstipps gegeben. Etwas mehr Licht wäre kein Luxus. Darum in diesem Bereich nur 3 Sterne.

Zum wiederholten Mal dort gewesen. Jedes Mal aufs Neue werden meine Freunde und meine Familie beeindruckt von dem freundlichen Service, der unglaublichen Qualität des Essens. Es fehlt an nichts. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und köstlichen Abend. Unsere nette Bedienung Dessi hat uns bestens bei der Auswahl für Getränke und Dessert zu unserem hervorragendem Steaks beraten. Die Steaks waren überraschend gut auf den gewünschten Gargrad zubereitet. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden. Der Cheesecake und ein Hoppy Laker waren der perfekte Abschluss für den Abend.

Vom Service über das Essen bis zum Ambiente 100%!!!!

Stolzer Preise für Deutschland teuer auch für uns Schweizer Qualität gut, Personal freundlich. Portionen sehr klein ( 200 gr Fleisch ist ein Fleck auf dem Teller gewesen) denke ist nicht mehr als 120 Gramm gewesen. Beilagen sehr klein. Wäre gut für Aperitif aber nicht für Abend Essen. Nicht für grosse Hunger gedacht und für knappe Geldbeutel .

Ein zeitgemässes Steakhouse in bester Lage in Konstanz. Die Vorspeisen sowie das Steak war herausragend zubereitet und von exzellenter Qualität. Der Service überzeugte durch ausserordentliche Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit.

Zum ersten Mal heute da gewesen waren rundum zufrieden, super nette und sehr aufmerksame Bedienung (desy). Bekamen Peperoni, die übrigens köstlich waren- zum probieren weil ich sie davor gefragt habe ob die scharf sind oder nicht sehr aufmerksam !! Erlebt man heutzutage kaum noch irgendwo in der Gastronomie,leider. Essen sehr lecker vor allem die Pommes waren der Hammer, gibts nichts zu meckern.

Mit Abstand das beste Steakhaus in Konstanz. Sensationelles Fleischangebot. Alle Fleisch-Speisen auf den Punkt gegart. Wunderschöne Zubereitung (auch das Auge ist mit). Das muss man einfach mal erlebt haben. Getränkeempfehlungen (Wein) perfekt. Service sehr kompetent und sehr freundlich (nicht aufdringlich). Wir kommen gerne wieder. Dieses Lokal kann ich problemlos weiter empfehlen.

Schon oft die gewesen und immer zufrieden nach Hause. Steaks und Burger für Liebhaber von guten Fleisch. Weine sind auch immer ein paar feine Tropfen dabei. Weiter so.

Habe das Restaurant alleine besucht und was sehr zufrieden. Die Karte ist genau richtig keine zu große Auswahl und auf das wesentliche konzentrieren und dieses dann richtig umsetzen. Mein Dry Aged Rib Eye war super gebraten und auch im Geschmack. Die Sauce wird separat serviert. Habe diese nur mit der Gabel probiert war top aber so ein Steak benötigt nur Salz und Pfeffer. Die Beilagenauswahl ist sehr gut. Als Nachtisch hab es den Erdnussschokolavakuchen. Auf jedenfall dafür Platz lassen einfach herrlich selbst gebacken und nicht aus der Packung und ab in die Mikrowelle. Das Serviceteam arbeitet super zusammen an dem Abend, da ich meine Speise an der Bar einnahm. Hier kommen wir zu dem Abzug des Sternes, obwohl ich kurz davor noch den online Check durchführte für eine Platzreservierung gebe ich die Empfehlung wer alleine kommt und am Tisch sitzen möchte reservieren. Nach mir kamen noch 3 Parteien mit weitere Personen in der Anzahl mehr als 2 ohne Reservierung und hierfür war Platz da. Aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen kann ich es nachvollziehen. Am Ende an der Bar alleine ist es dennoch schöner nur man sollte den Gast die Wahl lassen. Service dennoch sehr freundlich. WC erneuern

Wir haben den Donnerstagabend sehr genossen. Das Fleisch war perfekt gegart und ich habe bei jedem Bissen die Qualität des Fleisches und die Liebe zum Kochen geschmeckt. Auch die zwei Burger mit Pommes kamen sehr gut an. Ob Fleisch (Porterhouse für 2), Beilagen (Grillgemüse, Kartoffel), Saucen (Café de Paris, Rosmarin-Tomaten-Butter), Gewürze, Kräuter oder eine sehr feine, nicht zu süße Variante vom Baklava (hmm, mit kaltem Joghurt) - für mich hat alles perfekt miteinander harmoniert! Auf der Karte habe ich rein gar nichts vermisst. Unsere Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Sie hat uns alles zu Herkunft, Haltung und Zubereitung des Fleisches erklärt und mir einen sehr guten Wein empfohlen. Das Restaurant ist ansprechend und abgestimmt eingerichtet und unser Tisch am Fenster war geschmackvoll eingedeckt. Nur die Preise für Standard-Getränke (Wasser, Softdrinks, Bier) finde ich etwas hoch. Ich empfehle Chengos Steakhouse wärmstens - und einen Blick in die Speisekarte auf der Website.

Wir haben spontan reserviert für 6 personen. Gabel und Messer in Papierserviette lieblos hingelegt.Servicepersonal hat noch einen Korb mit 8 kleine Scheiben Brot hingestellt und 10 Oliven und 2 kleine Gabel.Salat war auf einem heissen Unterteller.Portionen sehr klein .Die Teller sind nicht schön garniert. Kein Ketchup oder Majo angeboten.Habe auch nicht danach gefragt da die Flaschen nicht gereinigt wurden,nach Gebrauch anderer Gäste.Mussten je nach Köperumfang von Gästen immer wieder näher an denn Tisch rücken.Man könnte mehr rausholen. Keinen Besuch wert.Die guten Bewertungen anderer Kunden sind nicht ehrlich. Kritik wurde nicht wahrgenommen. Riesen Teller mit einem Stück Fleisch und einer kleinen Portion Beilagen ,ein Zeig Rosmarie und 2 Cherrytomaten am Zweig. Wir waren sehr entäuscht.

Wir waren das erste Mal in disem Lokal und waren angenehm überrascht über den freundlichen Service und die gute Qualität. Die Auswahl von nur zwei Desserts ist etwas dürftig.... vielleicht ein hausgemachter Cheesecake passt noch zu diesem Lokal. Das Lokal ist ein oder mehrere Male ein Besuch wert. Unbedingt reservieren!
