Bereits zum zweiten Mal haben wir uns für den Landgasthof Kreuz für unsere Familienfeier entschieden. Alle Gäste waren wieder begeistert vom Essen. Qualitativ hochwertig, ansprechend angerichtet und geschmacklich top. Der Service immer aufmerksam und freundlich. Bei Familie Rommel kann ich mir im Vorfeld schon sicher sein, dass unsere Erwartungen erfüllt werden. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Wir haben im Landgasthof Kreuz ein Zimmer auf der Durchreise nach Italien gebucht. Das Personal war außerordentlich nett. Fälschlicherweise haben wir ein Zimmer ohne eigenes Bad gebucht. Das kam für uns als Familie (2 Erwachsene und eine Zwölfjährige) nicht in Frage. Sofort wurde nach einer guten Lösung gesucht. Gegen einen wirklich kleinen Aufpreis bekamen wir ein neues Zimmer. Unser Zimmer war außergewöhnlich und charmant. Der Raum mit Toilette und Dusche war eher eine Fertigkabine. Recht klein und die Dusche leider undicht. Ansonsten war alles perfekt. Wir haben von hier aus Konstanz besichtigt. Zum Frühstücksbuffet können wir nichts sagen, da wir es nicht in Anspruch genommen haben!

Spontan angerufen und ein geniales, gemütliches Zimmer bekommen. Sehr nett empfangen worden. Spätestens bei der Empfehlung der Küchenkünste absolut überzeugt, am richtigen Ort zu sein. Am ersten Abend verwöhnt mit einer von Grund auf sehr guten Flädlesuppe, einem Wildschweinragout und zum Abschluss dem Apfelstrudel. Doch sas Highlight war der zweite Abend, gestartet mit einem gemischten Salatteller, bei dem alle einzelnen super waren und der Kartoffelsalat einfach spitze. Die Wildschweinfilet mit den Bratkartoffeln, Preiselbeeren und geschwenkten Pilzen einfach köstlich. Der Abend schließt mit einer Crème brûlée. Nur eine Empfehlung ist zuwenig, es ist unbedingt eine Reise wert. Gerne komme ich bald wieder...

Der Landgasthof Kreuz setzt auf klassische, bürgerliche Küche und ein entsprechend bodenständiges Speisenangebot. Den Auftakt machte eine Festtagssuppe mit Eierstich, Markklößchen und Suppenmaultäschchen. Die Einlage war übersichtlich eingebracht und leider erreichte die Suppe unseren Tisch lediglich lauwarm. Auch aromatisch fehlte es der Brühe an Kraft, Tiefe und Geschmack – insgesamt ein Auftakt ohne Zug. Der Hauptgang, bestehend aus Hirschedelragout an Wachholdersoße, dazu Apfelrotkohl, hausgemachte Spätzle und Preiselbeeren war klassisch angelegt, die Tellersprache wirkte jedoch wenig ansprechend und nicht zeitgemäß. Die Anrichteweise war grob, lieblos und ohne erkennbare Struktur und erinnerte in der Optik mehr an Kantinenstandard als an eine Restaurantpräsentation. Geschmacklich blieb der Apfelrotkohl zudem flach, mit zu wenig Frische und Säurespiel. Die Spätzle waren bereits „über den Punkt“. Das Ragout brachte zwar eine passende, würzige Wachholdernote mit, das Fleisch zeigte sich in der Textur jedoch überwiegend zäh. Auch hier fiel die nur lauwarme Serviertemperatur negativ auf und nahm dem Gericht zusätzlich Spannung. Positiv: Der Service agierte freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und war der klare Pluspunkt des Besuchs. Unterm Strich ein Haus mit traditioneller Ausrichtung, dessen Küche aber vor allem bei Temperaturführung, Textur und einer modernen Anrichteweise unbedingt nachschärfen sollte. Der professionelle Service konnte die Schwächen der Küche leider nicht vollständig kompensieren. Im Vergleich zu zurückliegenden Jahren konnte die Küche das Niveau nicht halten. In der Umsetzung blieb die Küche deutlich hinter den Erwartungen aus vergangenen Besuchen zurück.

Dieses Hotel hat bei mir einen sehr positiven Eindruck hinterlassen. Erstens: ein umweltfreundliches Konzept sowie ein kostenloses Ticket für den öffentlichen Nahverkehr, mit dem man während des gesamten Aufenthalts sorgenfrei nach Konstanz fahren und wieder zurückkommen kann. Zweitens: ein sauberes und schönes Zimmer mit viel Holz, was eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre schafft. Drittens: sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Viertens: kostenfreie Parkplätze. Und es gibt noch viele weitere Vorteile. Das Hotel ist eine sehr gute Wahl, um in der Nähe von Konstanz zu übernachten. Außerdem befindet sich darunter ein tolles Restaurant, in dem man viele verschiedene Speisen genießen kann. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel ohne Bedenken weiter.

Wir hatten eine Weihnachtsfeier in diesem Lokal. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Zu den Zimmern kann ich keine Aussage machen, die habe ich nicht gesehen. Das Essen war qualitativ akzeptabel aber nicht dem Preis entsprechend. Sowohl vom Geschmack als auch von der Menge her kann man für diese Preise deutlich mehr erwarten. Das gleiche Essen bekommt man in einer anderen Wirtschaft ungefähr 10€ günstiger. Die Wirtschaft selbst ist tip-top sauber. Die Atmosphäre würde als sehr angenehm bezeichnen.

Das Restaurant ist zu 120% zu empfehlen… Die Schweinemedaillons mit den Hausgemachten Spätzle, sowie das Reh Filet mit der ebenfalls hausgemachten Soße waren einfach Klasse… Der Service ist super freundlich und super gastfreundschaftlich. Jederzeit gerne wieder

Seit Jahren mein kulinarischer Stammplatz, hier schmeckts mir einfach - und die Atmosphäre ist ebenfalls gemütlich und familiär. Das Essen keine billig produzierte Convenience-Ware, sondern mit Passion gekocht, das schmeckt man auch. Ich freue mich bereits auf den nächsten Besuch...

Immer auf der Suche nach einem kulinarischen Erlebnis reservierten wir auf persönliche Empfehlung einen Tisch im Gasthof Kreuz. Dort weiß man noch, was einen hervorragenden Service ausmacht, wie ich bereits bei unserer Ankunft erfahren durfte. Selten wurde ich so unaufgesetzt freundlich begrüßt. Das Servicepersonal war durchgehend freundlich und aufmerksam. Von den bestellten vier Gerichten waren alle ausgezeichnet. Mein Rumpsteak war auf den Punkt perfekt medium, genau wie bestellt. Sehr aufmerksam fand ich auch die Nachfrage, ob der Garpunkt meinen Wünschen entspricht, just nachdem ich das erste Stück genussvoll verzehrt hatte. Besser geht es nicht!

Grosse Portionen, leckeres Essen und Getränke, sowie nette Beidienung. Wir waren nur zum Essen hier und ich kann das Hirschedelragout mit Spätzle klar empfehlen.

I really enjoyed it; even as an older traveler, I had a pleasant stay and was completely satisfied. When I found myself in a particularly difficult situation, I was helped willingly and personally. It's reasonably priced, the service is very friendly, the breakfast selection is perfect, and the atmosphere is commendable. I would gladly visit the country inn again and would recommend it to others. Thank you very much.

Restaurant: We can only review the Restaurant Kreuz. We were at the Hotel Landgasthof Traube, where everything was clean, modern, and the service was very friendly. The recommended Restaurant Kreuz is very close. The trout fillet was delicious, just as you'd expect. The veal schnitzel (€27) was 2x10x10 cm – very small, dry, and some of the breading was already gone. The fries were baked straight from the oven… no side dish. Stay away from them.

Gestern wurde aufgrund vom Ende der Spargel Saison die Speisekarte neu geschrieben. Seid dem werden stattdessen Matjes angeboten. Für uns als Ostfriesen eine Herausforderung. Aber was soll ich sagen: PERFEKT gelungen nach Hausfrauen Art mit Speckbohnen und Bratkartoffeln. Auch die Speisen der letzten Tage, Spargel, Wurstsalat, Forellenfilet …… usw, ein wunderbarer Genuss aus der tollen Küche. Von dem Dessert Genuss nicht zu reden.

Good starting point for cycling tours

The room only had a clothes rack with four hangers and a small shelf for personal belongings. Since the inn is located right next to an intersection, it was almost impossible to sleep with the window open at night. The breakfast buffet was really positive.

Very friendly welcome, very clean rooms, top quiet location, affordable prices.

Arrival: Parking space is free but unfortunately not available because it is fully parked. Room: No wardrobe, just 2 boards on the wall and a small rack for jackets. Bed is a poor self-build with holes and sawdust in the frame. Unable to open windows because traffic is very loud. Overall, you don't find a minute of peace and quiet, the entrance doors are very thin room doors, you can hear every person from outside in their room and what they are doing...every movement and every noise. Disaster! From the restaurant downstairs you can hear every schnitzel being knocked and every chair being pushed from early in the morning until after midnight. Recovery effect equals 0. Room doors from the 60s that are made more of lacquer than wood. There is 20 cm between the bed and the wall to walk through to get through the room. 2 showers and toilets in the hallway for all guests - not in the room! No hooks in it for hanging clothes. If you don't want to sleep, you can come here. The only star is for the cleanliness. The cleaning staff do a great job. The overall good reviews come from the catering industry.

Very friendly staff, high level of attention. The landlady comes to every guest and greets them warmly. I haven't experienced that in a very long time! Kitchen: Good Swabian style, neatly portioned, good quality meat, salad and side dishes also fresh and well prepared. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time for dessert. Price performance is completely okay. Me and my family will come again. Most certainly. PS: Parking at the building is easy! Addendum: Top cuisine, very friendly staff and very attentive. Reservation essential! A real experience for good regional cuisine 🙂

When the neighbor lets water run in the room, there is a loud gurgling sound in the room. Otherwise it is very ringing

We reserved a table online at fairly short notice and received a response within a few minutes. Since we were late arriving, that wasn't a problem either. The service was very courteous and attentive. The portions were large and we all enjoyed it excellently! You can tell that gastronomy is still seen as a craft here and everything is made in-house! We really felt at home. We would be happy to stop here again on a trip to Lake Constance!

The Landgasthaus Kreuz restaurant in Dettingen has been popular with locals and tourists for decades. Excellent quality and outstanding service characterize this family business.

After some time, we went back. The food was still incredibly hospitable, but unfortunately, the food was no longer worth the money. Our meat was poor quality; it was marbled, tough, overcooked, and had a strange aftertaste. The sauce was simply salty, and everything was carelessly slapped onto the plate, without a side of vegetables. Other dishes may be better, but we won't be going back. We'd rather pay €5 more and have better quality.

The rooms under the attic are super nice

We didn't have a room. But the food is extremely good despite being of a high standard. But don't forget to make a reservation on Sunday.

My room with shared bathroom was spacious and clean. The bed comfortable. Pillow could be newer. The sanitary rooms are very clean and there are enough of them in the hallway. Great for one night in transit. I deducted one star because the very loud gurgling in my sink when water was running in the next room was very annoying.

Der Landgasthof Kreuz in Dettingen ist eine Adresse, die für traditionelle Gastfreundschaft und bodenständige Küche steht. Unser Besuch am Silvesterabend bot eine stimmige Mischung aus herzlichem Service, angenehmem Ambiente und geschmackvollen Gerichten. Das Essen: Zum Hauptgang wählten wir zwei Klassiker: das „Kikok-Hähnchen an Sherryrahmsoße mit Kroketten und Pfannengemüse“ sowie das „Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes frites“. Das Kikok-Hähnchen überzeugte durch seine Zubereitung – das Fleisch war saftig und zart, die Sherryrahmsoße harmonierte perfekt und brachte eine feine, leicht süßliche Note ins Spiel. Die Kroketten waren außen knusprig und innen fluffig, während das Pfannengemüse mit seiner knackigen Frische für den nötigen Kontrast sorgte. Das Wiener Schnitzel war ein weiterer Höhepunkt des Abends. Die goldbraune Panade war wunderbar knusprig und umhüllte das zarte Kalbfleisch, das auf der Zunge zerging. Die Pommes frites waren außen kross und innen weich – genauso, wie sie sein sollten. Der Service: Ein großes Lob gebührt dem Serviceteam. Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren aufmerksam, freundlich und zugleich unaufdringlich. Die Bestellungen wurden zügig aufgenommen und die Wartezeit war angemessen. Trotz des festlichen Abends fühlte man sich gut umsorgt und willkommen. Das Ambiente: Der Landgasthof Kreuz schafft eine gemütliche Atmosphäre, die sowohl für Familienfeiern als auch für ein festliches Abendessen passt. Die Dekoration war geschmackvoll, ohne überladen zu wirken, und unterstrich die heimelige Stimmung des Hauses. Fazit: Ein Besuch im Landgasthof Kreuz ist mehr als nur ein Essen – es ist ein Erlebnis. Traditionelle Gerichte, die mit handwerklichem Können und Liebe zum Detail zubereitet werden, treffen auf exzellenten Service und ein einladendes Ambiente. Für Feinschmecker, die ehrliche und gutbürgerliche Küche schätzen, ist dieser Gasthof eine klare Empfehlung.

We are very impressed with the restaurant. The Cuisine is predominantly traditional. The dishes are tasty and reasonably priced. The service is very friendly and attentive. We visit the restaurant at least once a week.

We were passing through and spontaneously stopped in for lunch. Very nice service. As she told us herself, she is still in training. Her service was so professional that it seemed like she was already trained. Service of this level is almost non-existent these days. So it's nice when someone with this level of commitment works in the catering industry. We ate the Sunday menu with lamb's lettuce, pork cheeks and a hot drink for 28 euros. Very large portions of excellent quality. Noticeably homemade and fresh. So price/performance is very good. So a clear recommendation!

They have a hut at the city garden festival in Konstanz (August 2024) and sell dishes. I took a roast game with spaetzle. The meat (wild boar? Not entirely sure, no gamey taste at all) was tough and totally tasteless. The sauce was also very watery. Spaetzle acceptable. The meat “danced” in my stomach all evening, so it bothered me. Now, of course, I don't expect the quality that you can have directly in a restaurant, but when such a typical dish (roast) is made so poorly and carelessly, that says a lot about the house. It's a shame, I wanted to visit the inn, now I don't remember. Edit December 2024 - At the Christmas market they have a small stand again and sell three dishes, one of which is cheese spaetzle. Unfortunately, I didn't immediately recognize that the country inn was from Dettingen. They were lukewarm, completely dry and glued. Totally loveless, and it was 4 p.m., so very, very quiet. A stand is not the same as the kitchen in Dettingen, but with this standard I would definitely avoid visiting their hotel. I have reduced the rating to 1 star. After 5 hours I still feel the spaetzle heavy in my stomach...

An excellent space for a night out, the staff, impeccable.. almost, but you know. It deserves more than 3 stars, but I think the food leaves a lot to be desired.. it's just my personal opinion. I ate goulash which is not goulash.. but tasty. I'll be back soon

Positive: Price: Reduced 54€ in high season is spectacular! But 8 m2, without a kitchen and with a shared bathroom and balcony is spectacular. Service: Receptionist very helpful. Neutral: Duvet cover was a little stained. It was probably washed, but I think it still had a few small stains. A small table would be nice on the balcony. And the weeds are sprouting out of the joints. Steam blasting would also be necessary. A small set, in case you forget something (disposable toothbrush, razor...) would certainly not be a big factor in terms of price. Nobody would rarely use it. But for THE PRICE it's absolutely fine! Negative: Breakfast: If you're going to Konstanz anyway, you should have breakfast there. The scrambled eggs were burnt and tasted extremely sweet. After one forkful I gave up. The coffee in the cappuccino was really at the level of vending machine coffee. The rest didn't look so great either. I saved myself with cocktail tomatoes and tomato juice from the bottle. Conclusion: If I'm looking for a room again at short notice, I'll look here first. But this time without breakfast.

Six of us arrived quite late yesterday and were worried that we wouldn't get anything to eat. Instead of just a small menu, as is often the case later on, we were allowed to choose from the entire menu. The food was delicious, the portions were generous. Service impeccable and great value for money. We will all be happy to come back, thank you again.

Located in the center of town, central, yet quiet. The hiking or cycling route via Hegne to Reichenau to the lake leads over beautiful meadows, fields and through beautiful forests. Rooms, staff & breakfast are top.

Excelente comida ... gran menú completo, realmente cubre una amplia gama de platos con un gran enfoque regional. Muchos ingredientes regionales y generosos tamaños de porciones. Nos alojamos en Constanza y queríamos un restaurante tradicional del campo y encontramos esto en TripAdvisor. Disfrutamos de nuestra cena el domingo por la noche y volvimos el martes cuando estaba más ocupado. A pesar de su negocio, el servicio era bueno. Mi mujer comió trucha el domingo y yo el cordón azul (como un Wiener Schnitzel pero además de la ternera contiene jamón y queso). El martes comí goulash salvaje que no estaba picante pero estaba delicioso como un ragout. El jefe y el personal eran amables y hablaban excelente inglés.

Great staff, clean rooms, unfortunately no shower or toilet in the room, just a sink with a mirror. Unfortunately, the drain also makes loud noises from time to time, as if the ventilation is not working properly. And unfortunately the reading lamp in my room was defective and the main lighting alone was a little too dark.

If you are in Konstanz this is a must if you want really well cooked German food, which lets face it is at best not great! It's spargel season and yes you can have it this way or that - excellent beautifully cooked. My wife's pork was again beautifully cooked but served on a huge plate of spätzle - destroyed the dish. Staff and owner are a real pleasure - really want you to enjoy their restaurant. Very limited wine list. You must book as even on a Tuesday evening it was full.

2 trout fillets, melted butter with potatoes. Fish fried wonderfully. Potatoes excellent. Homemade wild berry mousse for dessert. Tasted good. Although I imagined the mousse to be different. Of course it's purely a matter of opinion. Top service.

We were there for dinner and even though we didn't make a reservation, we were naturally offered a table. The service was very friendly and accommodating, and the boss is also very nice. And of course the food was excellent, good traditional cuisine, highly recommended!

Very nice hotel, super great friendly staff. Were guests at this hotel from Friday May 3rd to Sunday May 5th, were greeted very friendly and escorted to the room. Even without a reservation, three of us were shown to a nice table. The food was excellent, as was the service. Prices were average for the region. I can't say anything about the rooms. The only small drawback is the parking spaces. The space on site fills up quickly and then you have to take a longer walk.

I'm staying in this hotel for a business trip last night the room my friend and I found because the girl didn't accompany us small room is located about 100 meters from the reception all in wood is clean at the restaurant in the evening we ate food restaurant with the classic potato soup and a platter of cold cuts (wuster and cheeses) which is not spectacular

Der von uns aus den verschiedenen Wildgerichten ausgewählte Rehbraten "Baden-Baden" mit Spätzle, Rotkraut und Preiselbeerbirne, präsentierte sich als exemplarischer Vertreter der feinen gutbürgerlichen Küche. Die Zubereitung der Speisen erfüllte unseren Anspruch an eine traditionelle gutbürgerliche Kochkunst, wobei die harmonische Komposition der Aromen eine ansprechende Geschmacksvielfalt bot. Bedauerlicherweise jedoch trübte das verkochte Rotkraut den ansonsten positiven Gesamteindruck. Dessen Bissfestigkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig, was einen kleinen Abbruch in der Qualität der Hauptspeise darstellte. Hier könnte eine achtsamere Zubereitung einen entscheidenden Unterschied machen und die Textur des Rotkrauts wieder in Einklang mit den übrigen Komponenten bringen. Als krönenden Abschluss wurde uns im Rahmen des Desserts eine Käseplatte mit vier Sorten serviert. Leider fehlte eine detaillierte Erklärung zu den einzelnen Käsesorten, was die Gesamterfahrung etwas schmälerte. Eine Angabe in der Speisekarte oder eine stilechte Handreichung zum Käse wäre wünschenswert. Eine vorzügliche Käseplatte sollte nicht nur aus mindestens vier, besser fünf bis neun verschiedenen Sorten bestehen, sondern auch eine Vielfalt in Textur und Milchart bieten. Hierbei sollten Kuh-, Schaf-, Ziegen- und Büffelmilch gleichermaßen eine Rolle spielen und zur geschmacklichen Raffinesse beitragen. Ein weiterer Schritt in Richtung Exzellenz wäre die geschickte Kombination von etablierten, beliebten Käsesorten mit exotischeren Varianten. Beispielsweise könnte eine Verbindung aus einem 24 Monate gereiften Comté und einem Sainte-Maure eine reizvolle Bereicherung darstellen, die die Gäste in eine noch anspruchsvollere Geschmackswelt entführt. „Unter dem Strich“ war der Käseteller jedoch eine äußerst gelungene Überraschung und sehr willkommene Ergänzung des Dessertangebotes. Es muss nicht immer Süßes sein.
