McDonald's Restaurant in Hamburg

The staff was extremely unfriendly - no “hello”, no “enjoy your meal”, not even a friendly word when serving. The store itself was anything but clean. The tables were wiped down, but all with the same cloth, which didn't make the whole thing any more appetizing. Leftover food and trash on the floor? Were just left lying there. The only positive thing: the fries were warm. The burger and nuggets, however, were cold. When I mentioned this to the staff walking past, they only looked at me briefly - and then the lady simply looked away. Was I not understood or should I not be understood? In summary: an absolute no-go for me! Update (9/29/24, 1:45 a.m., night): Stopped again because of hunger - disaster! 29 euros for cold fries, cold royal cheese and also cold nuggets. And that after waiting 10 minutes in the drive. I wanted to complain straight away, but the “nice” employee on site simply stopped opening the window. Impudence! If I hadn't already been out for hours, I would have gone in UPDATE 02/13/25 Colleague got something to eat here today and experienced exactly the same thing as described above

Worst experience ever...totally over crowded and didn't get served. Payed via app and no refund.

Super cozy and delicious! The Big Tasty Burgers here are my absolute favorite! The fries are always perfectly seasoned. Great for a quick snack and I love the atmosphere. The store is well organized and never chaotic.

A rather small McDonald's, which is located directly on the way to Hamburg city center. We stopped here early in the evening as a stopover and had dinner. The shop itself is rather small. The parking lot is built right next to a gas station, so the entrance is not 100% clear. Perhaps the correct entrance should be better identified, as it is at the gas station entrance. A lot of people mistakenly drive into the parking lot at the actual exit, which can be annoying when there is a traffic jam on the main road. Otherwise it's a McDonald's like almost any other. You can't go wrong here. The food was okay and well located for a stopover. Fast food restaurant.

It used to be better, the staff was rude and unfriendly

This McDonald's has become very bad for some time and should be avoided. There was probably a new franchisee or something similar (at least the whole team is new), and things have been going steadily downhill since then. The waiting times are super long, even when the restaurant is empty. There are a lot of employees behind the counter and in the kitchen, but it still takes forever. We're there more often and it's the same every time, so it has nothing to do with peak times... every (!!) time something is missing, so checking is absolutely necessary. And if you forget a burger, you have to wait forever while the other food gets cold. It's always pretty lukewarm anyway and doesn't look like it's used to, just slapped on. Too bad

Only had desserts. Coffee and cappuccino were good, cheesecake is not recommended. The first one tasted like it was several days old. We got a new one that was just okay. Overall, the cake is not recommended. Mc Flurry was as usual. General: branch very dirty, tables not wiped, dish trolleys overflowing, lamps flickering, floor finished and dirty. Staff very polite and accommodating.

Even though it's a busy McDonald's, it really wasn't possible yesterday... waiting time 20 minutes... okay. However, we had to complain about the big Rösti. The hash brown was certainly several hours old and then warmed up. Rock hard and absolutely inedible. An absolute mess in terms of consumption. The toilets gave me herpes when I entered them. Staff... there were enough people running around... but the ogling and talking to the young ladies was more important. The floor was covered with a layer of grease. I could add more flaws, but then I'll write for a long time. We've been there several times, but yesterday it was so unbelievable that I wanted to take a test here. The display of offers there corresponds to McDonald's standards.

Food, service and ambience as expected.

I can't say anything about the food, I'm out again. I ordered at the terminal, but when I went to pay the counter stopped completely. Only broken German is spoken at the counter. You wanted to type it into the checkout, which wasn't possible with lots of special requests and coupon + collecting points. It wasn't possible to order again at the other terminal either, so I was contacted. Simply unbelievable. Please think back to the word service and the word almost in fast food. Spent 20 minutes there, had no food at the end and then no time to go anywhere else. Thanks for nothing. Unfortunately you have to give one star, this restaurant doesn't deserve it!!

For me, changing the personal service and ordering mode to the terminal is the final separation from McDonalds.

Unfortunately, the new order machines don't always work properly and that's annoying.

Always wait an hour for the order

Burgers were standard. Cleanliness was rather mixed. The ordering terminals are the oldest and slowest I have ever experienced. The staff didn't care at all.

Men's toilet so dirty... No toilet paper, no paper for the hands... Toilet full of piss... I went back out straight away because I'm definitely not going to try the food if the toilet already looks like that

Thanks to the location, a well-attended branch. Unfortunately, the staff here is not very commendable, with around every second/third order (drive in) missing one or more items. Complaints are possible but difficult (since you are always assumed to be at fault). The management is also not the friendliest, which in my opinion also affects the staff. The store is otherwise relatively modern and mostly relatively clean (for an MCD) Unfortunately the branch is closed in the morning between 1:00 and 7:00.

We waited 25 minutes for 3 hamburgers. You have to do that first. Never here again.

The quality of the burgers has deteriorated dramatically. And the crispy chicken is such a disappointment too. Fries are almost always cold and either not salted at all or salted too much. Terminals didn't really work, and then at the checkout you were ignored for a few minutes, even though there were several employees at the front of the checkouts. Then there was no Oreo Ice Coffee, which was advertised extra large at the front. The normal iced coffee was 3/4 ice cream and the rest was chocolate (cocoa) little coffee. The vanilla shake was only 3/4 full, even though it was ordered large. Only the spicy nuggets were good.

I was just in the drive-thru and the new cardboard Coke lids don't sit properly on the cups. As a result, I can now organize an interior cleaning immediately after cleaning. The lid flew apart during delivery and my entire car is stuck in the driver's compartment. Since the clerk at the counter had great difficulty understanding it, and this was in English since he didn't speak any German at all, it was sickening. One advantage is that both large burgers that were ordered were warm, freshly made and delicious.

The Kielerstrasse location has really declined. The burgers and fries smell and taste rancid, not what you're used to from McDonald's. When you used to get food there and the delicious smell hit your nose, you looked forward to the food and today the smell and taste is very bad. Friends of the staff come and walk into the staff area in street clothes, you sometimes have to wait 15 minutes for four burgers even though the collecting table is already overflowing with burgers. Never go there again

Rarely seen such a dirty restaurant. It stuck all over the floor. Not to mention the toilets 🤢 I think the store hasn't been cleaned for weeks.

An ordering machine is broken. No communication possible in German, McPlant didn't taste good, got the wrong drink. Condition of the washrooms unacceptable.

Entrance area: chaos, ordering device broken. Toilets: The person I met tells me: it's better not to go in... Three ladies at the exit, display screen switched off (broken) There was a traffic jam at the counter, the three ladies really tried hard, chose what felt like 30 pieces of paper in front of them and were happy when they found one... After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked about my order being delivered, three ladies rummaged through the pieces of paper in front of them and couldn't find it. Food is okay but the employees are very unfriendly. I asked an employee if I could get something, he said no, that was very inconvenient because I was there with an e-scooter and only had these bags, which I found very unfriendly

I was just waiting in line for the McDrive... nothing worked. Then I went in and ordered inside. It felt like it took forever, even though I counted at least 5 people at reception. Why do 6 double cheeseburgers take so long???? There's something wrong with the organization. In other words, someone has to say how work needs to be done!!!

Drive in is a 6! The fries were salty and sticky, a complete burger was missing (unfortunately I only noticed it when I got home) and the nuggets tasted like they were 3 days old. For that much money, I expect fresh food and, above all, that I get what I paid for!

You have to check the order on site to make sure everything is there, 2 citizens were missing about €11, paid in advance

Everything was completely satisfactory. I didn't visit the toilet, so no information about the condition. Table service was great, everything came at once, nothing was forgotten. 👍 I think the price is great now, but yes... there's nothing you can do about it.😂

One of the worst McDonald's. We waited in line at the drive-in for more than 20 minutes even though there were only 2 cars in front of us. Staff seemed overwhelmed. Trash cans (towels) could be emptied more often. He was overflowing.

If you want to clean and tidy up yourself, please do. Service not good, unfriendly and unreasonable. Children's high chairs are dirty and early in the morning.

Don't stick to the opening hours

Even a fast food restaurant can be clean. Employees very hectic. The tone among colleagues was very rough, even by HH standards

It's ok...but if you point out to employees that they have at least 0.99 euros minus in the cash register and you bring the euro back, I expect a somewhat friendlier thank you...next time I'll keep the money and be interested not for the minus in the cash register...

At this McDonald’s I recommend you take the food to go. It's often way too loud.

McDonald's really has a problem here. Rubbish is piled up on the tables and all the displays above the output are broken. Fries and burgers good and hot. The display at McCafe suggests the worst.

The woman with the blue hair doesn't know what customer satisfaction means. Ordered through the app and didn't receive my order for the price that was in the app!!!!

I had order through Uber Eats. Its was good but from kids happy meal toy was missing.

Things I haven't experienced before... said my wife and she described it perfectly. Waited 20 minutes despite ordering online, I went backwards out of the toilets and wanted to at least wash my hands. The gentleman at the sink said: I pinched myself too even though I really had to. I've never had such a terrible latte macchiato. But the Franzbrötchen was delicious, even if it didn't look like it visually. However, the smell in the toilet is unacceptable and caused a friend to vomit.

It's terrible what McDonald's has become in my opinion. There are fewer and fewer, despite significant price increases. The beef patties are now significantly smaller than the rolls themselves; the patty is only 5 millimeters thick. I also think of the Chicken McNuggets as a joke. Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars.

Poor quality fries, they looked like they were finished a long time ago. I was there at a busy time so I say poor quality fries or oil that isn't changed as it should be.

As a seasoned fast food consumer, I appreciate the quality and service that brands like Burger King, KFC and McDonald's can provide. However, my visit to McDonald's today was deeply disappointing. From the start it was clear that something was wrong. The service was disorganized and lacked the usual table service that I have come to expect from other branches. Employees did not appear to be properly trained or motivated to complete their tasks. This was in stark contrast to other fast food restaurants I have visited, including Burger King, which is in the immediate vicinity. Ordering was a challenge as staff were unable to correctly implement my requirements. The quality of the products also left something to be desired. The food seemed hastily prepared and was not as fresh as expected. This is contrary to my experiences at other McDonald's locations, which usually offer consistent quality. Overall, my visit to McDonald's today was a real setback. As someone who appreciates the variety of fast food options, I am particularly disappointed with this particular McDonald's. The lack of quality of service and products compared to other chains in the immediate area is unfortunate and a cause for concern. I hope McDonald's takes the necessary steps to ensure such disappointments are avoided in the future.

Tasted like any other McDonald's, self service

Absurd. We stood at McDrive for about 30 minutes. The cashier embezzled change and there was no receipt either. An employee put food in his hands and then packed food. The whole store looked like a garbage dump through the window and inside there was a stink at the counter. Never again.

I've never seen a McDonald's this dirty in the world. Everything is dirty, nobody is interested in the customers' concerns and hardly anyone understands German or English. It's fast food but somewhere a minimum level of order, cleanliness and service is required. It's sad that she doesn't feel responsible for anything anymore.

Slow food. 32 minutes for 2 menus, absolutely ridiculous! During the stay there were many customers who had parts of their order missing. The atmosphere seemed tense! And that at 00:15 on 4/15/24

The people who are working hard here are just trying to please an everyone but the customer's who are visiting this McDonald's are just having 0 respect. They don't clean behind them, don't want to throw the food or the rest from the food and all that is just disgusting! No patience for waiting when more people are waiting for an order and they are 10 people who are working without breathing to make everything as fast as possible. Respect for the people who are working in every McDonald's!

I have to give a star so that I can write something. I haven't eaten anything from McD for a long time. My wife wanted to eat some of them, so I went. Come in and find myself in pure chaos. I'm not even noticed at the order counter at first. When I finally get served, there are problems because the man can barely speak German. When the order, a Royal TS, medium fries and 6 chicken nuggets, is finally placed, the rude awakening comes. €14.87, I can hardly believe it. Well, it's not for me, so I pay and wait in the chaos for what feels like forever until I finally get my bag to take away. Just get out and never, ever come back.

I would prefer to give no star at all. Never experienced such unfriendly and ignorant staff. Breakfast would probably only be available until 10:30 a.m., but you can still order breakfast items on all displays and at the terminal.
