McDonald's Restaurant in Hamburg

Simply awful, everything is dirty, the food is cold and old, and if you politely ask for something fresh, they forget about you. Orders are also frequently mixed up or served completely wrong; I ordered a burger without onions and received an old burger with extra onions. Just a bad McDonald's.

The large coffee cup was full, unlike at other McDonald's in Lurup... only half the size of a large cup.

Packed for dinner... waited 25 minutes for the now almost cold food to arrive. Burgers were piled high, but the staff couldn't keep up.

To slow service. No FASTfood here....

Far too slow with too few customers

We waited over 50 minutes for our food; it was quite busy, but still incomprehensible. Something was forgotten, and they showed no understanding whatsoever.

The order arrived quickly and the food was still nice and warm. The voucher didn't work, hence only 3 stars.

Dirty restaurant, an insect crawling in my Big Mac. Unbelievable! I complained and the unfriendly staff asked what the problem was, even though they could see the insect right in front of them!

I'm really not a fan of McDonald's, but the playgrounds with children make it worthwhile. I must also say that this particular branch was very accommodating, which was definitely due in part to the shift manager this afternoon. He deserves high praise.

This is absolutely not a fast-food restaurant! You order online and then come specifically to pick up your order, and nothing works, nobody knows anything. The service is nonexistent.

Twice we had to go back to the checkout because something was missing. The worst part, however, was that the entire restaurant was filthy. The floor and tables were sticky, and there were food scraps everywhere, both under and on the tables. Drinks were leaking into the return trolleys, and staff members were simply walking past them. The food itself, though, was okay.

Unfortunately, this branch is the closest to us. If you order something via the app and then pick it up at the drive-thru, you should be happy if you get everything. Unfortunately, it's often the case that fries, a burger, or something else gets forgotten. Today we didn't have a figurine in the package and no sauces at all. We really didn't have a large order, and it wasn't personalized or anything like that. If you want to go to McDonald's, you should try to avoid this branch.

I keep realizing why I avoid this store/chain so much, the service is getting worse every year, totally unfriendly, the right way of dealing with customers is missing, the fries 🍟 taste like nothing, no salt 🧂 on them & the burgers 🍔 are getting worse and worse, it's not worth the money, no thanks, never again

There's always something missing from the bag at the McDrive. But everything's paid for. It's very inconvenient when you have to drive all the way and the food ends up cold. Nobody answers the phone either. Impossible and not exactly customer-oriented.

Hello, I would like to say that I am dissatisfied because the food is often not right, sometimes too little is served, the food was cold, and there were very few fries.

I am extremely disappointed. On Thursday evening, after work, I wanted to buy two double cheeseburgers. Unfortunately, I have a pepper allergy and am practically a regular customer at this branch. When I asked for the burgers without pepper, I was banned from the premises. The burgers he sold me were ice cold, and with pepper too. It took less than five minutes for my tongue to swell and I could hardly breathe. When I asked him his name, to admit this and warn the next person about it, he refused to tell me his name, even though I know it's not legal because everyone who serves someone at McDonald's has to do so. When I told him this, he changed the subject and said, I know what I'm doing So a really bad hunger experience The event took place on October 2nd at 0:00 in the branch Kieler Straße the gentleman who served me wore a white shirt It was too stupid for him because he had already turned down the grill His last statement was that I should please never come back if I have an allergy to pepper

Despite an initial discrepancy with my order – the burger wasn't quite as I had customized it – the exchange went smoothly and easily. The staff was particularly friendly and accommodating. The burger I received was not only well prepared but also extremely delicious. It's nice to see that customer service is truly a priority here. A great team – I'll be back! 5/5 stars.

Too often, and increasingly, something is forgotten from the order, so you always have to check and ask for more. Today I even had to wait an extra 10 minutes for forgotten sauces and a fries – that was really extreme; the staff make no effort to serve customers properly.

Absolutely terrible store. The employees are either overwhelmed or completely unfocused. We ordered twice and were dissatisfied both times. It's always possible that an item might be missing, but when half the order is missing, it's really sad.

Last night at the McDrive. I've rarely felt so ripped off. Absolutely terrible service. Unprofessional behavior. The employee's tone of voice is more reminiscent of a hidden camera (you know what I'm joking about) than a proper order-taking. From now on, I'll only go to Burger King. At least you get a proper greeting there and don't have to get annoyed by employees who rip you off. The shift manager, by the way, said the employee had been there for over five years. Ever heard of training? A big deal at the expense of the customer.

I don't understand how they could screw it up so badly. I ordered and received completely wrong orders from A to Z. You can see what the order is. And then everything from A to Z is wrong. HOWEEEEEE IS THAT POSSIBLE?

A McDonald's is like any other McDonald's. The only difference is the "friendliness" of the employees.

When ordering at the drive-thru, they ask if the requested change has been implemented. I placed my order via the app and specifically deselected the onions for the burger. Unfortunately, this wasn't taken into account—I only noticed it on the way. Picking onions out of the sauce and salad is really not nice. Luckily, for me, it's about taste, not health reasons. They need to be more careful about this.

I've rarely experienced such poor customer service, and unfortunately, this has happened several times. Extremely unprofessional employees. I'd wonder how your salary is paid. As a guest, I can only advise you to go somewhere else!

I've rarely seen such disgustingly dirty restrooms. Disco restrooms are cleaner. We waited forever for two drinks. There were seven people behind the bar, but no one seemed competent.

The drive-thru is a disgrace! Long wait times, even though it's empty; unfriendly, dismissive service at the microphone and cash register. Thanks, never again.

I've eaten at many Mcdonalds all over the place and this one takes the prize of worse one I've eaten it. Staff disinterested! Cold burgers, cold fries! Just bad, drive somewhere else if you're in the area, it's not worth it.....

McDrive, pre-ordered via the app. A complete meal (9 nuggets) and the wrong drink were missing. A wait of about 10 minutes made the evening perfect. We checked the bag, but unfortunately, with a very full bag (we could have had two), we lost track of it because we were hungry and wanted to go home. There's also no way to receive feedback or a credit via the app. So, we wasted almost €10. Never again from this place!

Horribly unreliable. Something's always missing from the order. Apparently none of the employees can read. Whether it's through Lieferando or Wolt. So it must be the store employees' fault.

I was at a McDonald's today and witnessed firsthand how the ceiling was being painted while the restaurant was still open, without any barriers or coverings. The painter was working directly over open food while customers were being served. Food was lying around, and no consideration was given to hygiene. This is a clear violation of the Food Hygiene Regulation (LMHV) and EU Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004, which stipulate that no renovation work may be carried out on food during operations. Paint particles, dust, and fumes can contaminate food, and this was completely ignored here. This should not happen in an international fast-food company like McDonald's. I expect this incident to be investigated. I found it absolutely unacceptable and irresponsible towards customers.

It was very busy, and I had to wait a while for my order. The staff tried to get everything done quickly.

It used to be perfectly fine. Now the staff is incredibly unfriendly. The man at the drive-through yells at you and refuses to talk. When you pay, he sits on his personal phone and ignores you. The wait at the drive-through has been 5-10 minutes several times (for a cheeseburger and small fries). Absolutely not recommended!

I've rarely seen such a bad atmosphere. Nobody wants to work, and it's clearly evident! On top of that, everything is so disorganized, and orders are often incorrect. The order sequence is thrown off. It's hard to even eat anything while waiting.

Very bad here, had to wait 30 minutes for my food only to find out at the end that it was forgotten and it was completely empty, that's not okay, then they gave me the wrong toy at the happy meal, really unbelievable

So the service was so fast, I barely ordered and the lady was already walking with a tray, I don't know how she did it, but seriously. The food was so-so, but that's probably the fault of the meat in Germany:( However, the coffee with ice cream was so-so, just the right amount of ice, sauce and coffee, I highly recommend this product, they don't make them like that in Poland anymore, unfortunately :/

A typical McDonald's restaurant. Very easy to reach, plenty of parking, well attended and relatively clean. Toilets were still ok. Menu selection by default. My order was brought very quickly. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I can recommend. 👍

The staff was extremely unfriendly - no “hello”, no “enjoy your meal”, not even a friendly word when serving. The store itself was anything but clean. The tables were wiped down, but all with the same cloth, which didn't make the whole thing any more appetizing. Leftover food and trash on the floor? Were just left lying there. The only positive thing: the fries were warm. The burger and nuggets, however, were cold. When I mentioned this to the staff walking past, they only looked at me briefly - and then the lady simply looked away. Was I not understood or should I not be understood? In summary: an absolute no-go for me! Update (9/29/24, 1:45 a.m., night): Stopped again because of hunger - disaster! 29 euros for cold fries, cold royal cheese and also cold nuggets. And that after waiting 10 minutes in the drive. I wanted to complain straight away, but the “nice” employee on site simply stopped opening the window. Impudence! If I hadn't already been out for hours, I would have gone in UPDATE 02/13/25 Colleague got something to eat here today and experienced exactly the same thing as described above

I waited over 40 minutes for my order. That can't be the case for a (fast food restaurant). Maybe it should change its name to (Slow Food Restaurant)

I ordered a Caramel Macchiato, and the lady had the audacity to take a jug of old previously steamed milk and stick the steamer in it to warm it up. What I ended up getting was a caramel milk water. I have never seen this in all my life. Please train your employees. You got 1 star because atleast I didn’t have to wait long.

We used the drive in and stood for almost 20 minutes before our food arrived. That's not really a good performance.

Super cozy and delicious! The Big Tasty Burgers here are my absolute favorite! The fries are always perfectly seasoned. Great for a quick snack and I love the atmosphere. The store is well organized and never chaotic.

A rather small McDonald's, which is located directly on the way to Hamburg city center. We stopped here early in the evening as a stopover and had dinner. The shop itself is rather small. The parking lot is built right next to a gas station, so the entrance is not 100% clear. Perhaps the correct entrance should be better identified, as it is at the gas station entrance. A lot of people mistakenly drive into the parking lot at the actual exit, which can be annoying when there is a traffic jam on the main road. Otherwise it's a McDonald's like almost any other. You can't go wrong here. The food was okay and well located for a stopover. Fast food restaurant.

It used to be better, the staff was rude and unfriendly

This McDonald's has become very bad for some time and should be avoided. There was probably a new franchisee or something similar (at least the whole team is new), and things have been going steadily downhill since then. The waiting times are super long, even when the restaurant is empty. There are a lot of employees behind the counter and in the kitchen, but it still takes forever. We're there more often and it's the same every time, so it has nothing to do with peak times... every (!!) time something is missing, so checking is absolutely necessary. And if you forget a burger, you have to wait forever while the other food gets cold. It's always pretty lukewarm anyway and doesn't look like it's used to, just slapped on. Too bad

Only had desserts. Coffee and cappuccino were good, cheesecake is not recommended. The first one tasted like it was several days old. We got a new one that was just okay. Overall, the cake is not recommended. Mc Flurry was as usual. General: branch very dirty, tables not wiped, dish trolleys overflowing, lamps flickering, floor finished and dirty. Staff very polite and accommodating.

Even though it's a busy McDonald's, it really wasn't possible yesterday... waiting time 20 minutes... okay. However, we had to complain about the big Rösti. The hash brown was certainly several hours old and then warmed up. Rock hard and absolutely inedible. An absolute mess in terms of consumption. The toilets gave me herpes when I entered them. Staff... there were enough people running around... but the ogling and talking to the young ladies was more important. The floor was covered with a layer of grease. I could add more flaws, but then I'll write for a long time. We've been there several times, but yesterday it was so unbelievable that I wanted to take a test here. The display of offers there corresponds to McDonald's standards.

Food, service and ambience as expected.

I can't say anything about the food, I'm out again. I ordered at the terminal, but when I went to pay the counter stopped completely. Only broken German is spoken at the counter. You wanted to type it into the checkout, which wasn't possible with lots of special requests and coupon + collecting points. It wasn't possible to order again at the other terminal either, so I was contacted. Simply unbelievable. Please think back to the word service and the word almost in fast food. Spent 20 minutes there, had no food at the end and then no time to go anywhere else. Thanks for nothing. Unfortunately you have to give one star, this restaurant doesn't deserve it!!

For me, changing the personal service and ordering mode to the terminal is the final separation from McDonalds.

Unfortunately, the new order machines don't always work properly and that's annoying.

Burgers were standard. Cleanliness was rather mixed. The ordering terminals are the oldest and slowest I have ever experienced. The staff didn't care at all.

Men's toilet so dirty... No toilet paper, no paper for the hands... Toilet full of piss... I went back out straight away because I'm definitely not going to try the food if the toilet already looks like that

Thanks to the location, a well-attended branch. Unfortunately, the staff here is not very commendable, with around every second/third order (drive in) missing one or more items. Complaints are possible but difficult (since you are always assumed to be at fault). The management is also not the friendliest, which in my opinion also affects the staff. The store is otherwise relatively modern and mostly relatively clean (for an MCD) Unfortunately the branch is closed in the morning between 1:00 and 7:00.

We waited 25 minutes for 3 hamburgers. You have to do that first. Never here again.
