Paid €5 more and never received the fries and the fries we did receive were cold!!

This is the worst McDonald's I've ever seen! Dirty, the staff are completely incompetent, and I had the feeling they didn't even know what they were doing!

I spent €20 on two burgers, waited 35 minutes, and was told it would take another 15 minutes. The supervisor and the waiters were terrible. They treated me very poorly. They were disrespectful and made faces. I ordered any fast burger, I didn't care what it was... they told me I had to wait, and I ended up leaving after waiting for over 45 minutes.

Shitty place... It's best to close it down forever. I got a stomach bug after ordering. The order was also wrong. My McChicken Classic had bacon, which is completely unacceptable, and the meat was pink, but I realized it too late. I have no idea what goes on in the kitchen, but if your health is important to you, don't go there. The manager was very friendly, though, and I got my money back, but it's still a complete no-go.

Unfortunately, it was very dirty, the food was cold, and the staff were overwhelmed... Never again!!!

Terrible service, the staff basically threw the happy meal toy at me. Staff were going extremely slow, I had to wait about 30 minutes for some cold food. HORRIBLE. I’d give a minus 10 if possible

The order was prepared incorrectly and carelessly—almost missed the boat. Two employees were apparently more into karaoke and flirting than working. Even at 5 a.m., you can still hope for a bit of professionalism.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The service was extremely rude and unprofessional – you had the feeling that guests were more of a nuisance than welcome. Furthermore, the restaurant was noticeably dirty: the tables weren't cleaned properly, the floor was sticky, and even the cutlery didn't seem clean. Cold fries, no restrooms, unfriendly staff, no napkins for the meal.

I waited 50 minutes for a mc Smart meal. Others who ordered after me got their orders before me. Some complained because they'd already waited 20 minutes. Thanks to the security guards who got me my food 🙏

It seems very possible to distinguish between vegetarian and meat dishes.

No rush - waited 10 minutes for my McMuffin and a coffee - almost missed the train, and the McMuffin was almost cold. I'm not going back to that store!

I'd like to give it a 0. We had to wait 30 minutes for our food. Then we got one burger too few, which we had to wait another 10 minutes for, and we got chicken nuggets instead of potato nuggets.

We ordered takeaway food, it had the wrong sauces, one burger was missing and the other burgers were wrong and didn't look appetizing. Unfortunately we noticed too late that one burger was missing or that they were the wrong burgers, but I wouldn't speak to the staff either because they didn't seem very nice.

It was a complete nightmare: they only wanted to order eight chessburgers. Until one junkie thought he was on Big Brother, and then had his outfit checked in front of the camera in the entrance area. Shortly afterward, he ran through the store with fries. Two minutes later, DB security arrived. The man was then asked to leave the store after he knew where the order counter was. DB also checked the orders that had been placed for accuracy. After a quick body search and check, we finally had our cheeseburgers. Otherwise, a cool store. The cheeseburgers were awesome.

MOLD***MOLD PS: The health authorities have been informed. I've rarely had such a disappointing experience at McDonald's as I did here at Hamburg Central Station. I waited over 55 minutes for my order. During that time, there was no communication, no apology, nothing. At some point, I even tried to get a refund myself; only then did they even pay any attention to me. When I was finally spontaneously handed a meal, I could hardly believe my eyes: There was visible mold on the bun. (See photo attached.) This is not only completely unhygienic, but also downright dangerous. In an establishment of this size and frequency, I expect at least a minimum level of quality control. The fact that something like this even goes over the counter is a real disgrace. This incident raises many questions: How is food handled here? What internal procedures prevent spoiled goods from being handed out to guests? Conclusion: Absolutely unacceptable to me. I certainly won't visit this branch again and can only advise against it at this point.

Close this place down. Absolutely disgusting. No service. Chaotic conditions. Bad food. The health department should shut this place down.

I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and got regular milk. Imagine a train ride as a lactose-intolerant person with a milk protein allergy who accidentally drinks milk on the ICE train. THANKS FOR NOTHING. Luckily, it's not a life-threatening allergy.

We ordered milkshakes, which were unavailable, and they brought us Cokes without warning. When we asked for a €2 refund because the cocktails were more expensive, we were refused. The staff is disgusting. I don't recommend going here. The food isn't very good either.

Unfortunately, you can't give negative stars here... I actually had 20 minutes before my train left... Even though there were only three people in the restaurant and at least five or six in the kitchen, they couldn't manage to prepare a cappuccino within 15 minutes. A brilliant job, thanks McDonald's. Then I ran to the train, which I barely made, without a coffee or money.

Incredibly bad service. I ordered a Happy Meal with nuggets and an apple cone, which ended up being completely missing...! And instead of an iced chocolate shake, I got a vanilla milkshake. 🫠👍🏻

Order terminals largely unavailable, Restrooms closed, Half the restaurant closed, Long wait times, Staff overwhelmed, possibly understaffed, and chaotic restaurant management. DO NOT EAT HERE U MAY DIE let me set the scene I was fresh off a 6 hour long night train with very little sleep and then when I got into the station I felt a sigh of relief seeing the golden arches of mcdonalds when I walked up from the platform. however little did I know this would be the worst experience of mcdonalds or possibly all my food experiences in my life. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH ENOUGH. I ordered at 5.59 and only received my food by 6.45 if it can even be considered my order as what I was given was an array of random cheap bits that can be found across the menu. to top this off I did not receive my morning coffee and every item they gave me was covered head to toe in cheese and as I am extremely lactose intolerant this was rather upsetting. this trend was followed for all my friends who also did not receive what they want.

The best McDonalds with a view of the station. You can watch the trains coming and going from your table. I recommend

Very satisfied with the venue despite the many negative reviews from picky eaters... It was very convenient when I was a little hungry on my way back from the Airbeat One festival, before catching my train home. The venue is clean and has a magnificent view of Hamburg's HBF.

Dear McDonald's Team, On July 20, 2025, we arrived at your branch at Hamburg Central Station at approximately 6:06 a.m. Our train departed at 6:22 a.m., and the platform was only a one-minute walk away. We wanted a quick breakfast and ordered a small breakfast and coffee. Unfortunately, we had to wait over 19 minutes for our order. At 6:21 a.m., we left the restaurant without our food, as we would have missed our train otherwise. There were at least 10 other people in front of us waiting for their orders. We left the receipt behind, but I have a bank statement proving the payment (see attachment). We are not concerned about a refund, but rather the quality of service. It is absolutely unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant to take so long to prepare a simple breakfast—especially in a branch at a central station where many travelers rely on punctual service. We then had to drive over four hours to Berlin – without food or drink – and were very disappointed by the experience. I hope you will investigate this incident and take it seriously.

Pigeons in the restaurant... Not 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant, we had severe stomach problems. We ate a McDonald's rib, fries with mayo, and Coke. We hadn't eaten anything for seven hours; it could only have been McDonald's.

Stranded at Hamburg Central Station with 15 children at 3 a.m. We asked the staff if we could fill our water bottles and were turned away. There was zero empathy.

I tried to redeem a drink voucher that cost me 30 M's. The machine rejected it several times, and the cashier said, "Yeah, tough luck!" I find such behavior unacceptable! After all, 30 Ms is 30 euros that I had consumed, and that's a lot of money! Especially, the app says that the person in charge at the counter should help me. Thanks for nothing.

They were literally unable to process our order in more than half an hour, none of the asked servers were capable of speaking English nor helping us receive what was already done in 30 minutes before we had to leave for our train, frustrated and without food.

How can a McDonald's branch at Hamburg Central Station NEVER, and I mean NEVER, have oat milk in stock in 2025? It's absolutely unacceptable.

I left my bag with new things here, and the staff immediately put them away safely and were available by phone! The food beforehand was also okay.

I was just there and ordered takeout. It was really chaotic! The number display didn't work, so the employees had to call out the numbers, which was stressful with three employees. On top of that, everyone was standing all over the place because there wasn't a proper line. I'll probably get my food somewhere else again; unfortunately, Sternschanze and Dammtor are closed.

Since the renovations, there are no longer any toilets! When asked where the toilets are, the staff confidently say that the nearest toilet is on platform 14. Why the toilets were removed isn't explained! If you want to wash your hands, please ask at the cashier for small wet wipes. They're not good, by the way, and they don't really help if your hands are dirty after eating.

I visited yesterday, it was very crowded but the food was good. There were no empty tables. Thank you.

I placed a small order for the long train ride, and unfortunately, 15 nuggets were missing, which I only discovered on the train. Well, what can I say? Now I'm sitting here on a moving train, and my nuggets are most likely in a cold freezer bag. I'm extremely frustrated and now have to wash down my deep sadness with a half-cold, melted ice cream. Oh well... at least my bag contained that, along with the sweet and sour sauce from the nuggets. In short, I paid €15 for nothing, and the compensation for this leaves much to be desired... Burger King from now on. I would appreciate a constructive response from McDonald's!!

I ordered a vegan TS and got a beef burger, which was really unpleasant. When I entered the shop, the floor was sticky and quite dirty, and it smelled of old grease. The staff weren't particularly polite and a bit condescending.

Considering this is a train station branch, it's acceptable. The tables were dirty, the staff noticeably annoyed (which is understandable for a McDonald's), and some of the burgers were cold (the cheese had already melted onto the wrapper). If you just want a quick burger during your lunch break or while waiting for the train, it's fine.

I decided to try German McDonald's for the first time and was disappointed. The sandwich was not good, the cola was without a straw and the cold really hit my teeth because of the soooo much ice, the fries were like rubber. I'm just in shock

Well, I ate there once and then I had a really bad stomach ache because my Big Mac wasn't cooked through or rather the burger maker wasn't in a good mood that day!!

Since the train was delayed again and there's apparently nothing else there, I had to spend some time here. I didn't consume anything; I wouldn't do that to my body. There are no restrooms, of course. You have to be a bit careful with the crowd. But with just one stupid comment and almost being bumped into, I made it through the hour just fine. 3 points for the seat and the roof over my head.

The food wasn't delivered because the order was forgotten. When I asked at the counter, the order was no longer open but already ready. I still didn't get my food.

There's no point talking about the food, but they don't have a restroom, so they refer you to the train station restroom. The train station restroom was closed. Yeah, then I'll piss you off. You have to offer restrooms if you call yourself a restaurant; it's the law.

My son (2 years old) drinks juice with only straw and we requested one from the man who works here. He said no, I saw many many straws on the stand and visible to everybody. He answered me they can be given with only shake. Then I told “Ok, I want to order shake.” He said we dont have shake. It is like a bad joke but it was occured!!! Please educate your employees about communication. Because his even behaviours were not friendly, unacceptable!!!!

This place is always very busy. There was about a 20 minute wait for food last time I was there. The food was mostly fresh, although the fries were definitely old or way overcooked. Overall, a place to grab something if you really need it, but not the best fries around.

Employees seem overwhelmed. They quickly click orders away from their screens and then lose track of the order. One employee clearly favored customers he knew and brought them their orders directly, while others sometimes had to wait 15 minutes. Of course, I'm aware that Hamburg Central Station itself is very crowded and full, but it's actually quite possible that you could almost miss your train because of a simple order (2 standard burgers), even if you've allowed a 25-minute buffer.

Saw a racist Karen there who thought you could reserve a seat at McDonald's with a suitcase in the middle of the restaurant

We were there for the first time since the renovations - and we probably won't be back! Ordering is only possible at terminals, not at the counter. At least a friendly employee stepped in and gave us a quick briefing. There are no restrooms anymore - unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant! The worst thing, though, is the food! The burgers are getting smaller and smaller; a "Big Mac" is barely cheeseburger-sized in diameter - "big" is only the price. The chicken nuggets were freshly prepared, but the proportions aren't right either - they're pressed meat, not fillet! All in all, a disappointment!

After the renovation and the general switch to waitress service with food prepared to order, queues are a thing of the past.

That's just how McDonald's is. The big drawback: no on-site restrooms. This is incomprehensible given the size of the restaurant and its location.

We actually wanted to order for €20, but due to a lack of communication, the cashier charged us an additional meal and we ended up paying €33. Attention! McDonald's is violating applicable law by not providing restrooms to customers. Despite eating on-site, no restrooms are offered, and no vouchers or refunds are offered for the use of paid public restrooms. This is not only customer-unfriendly, but also violates legal requirements regarding the provision of sanitary facilities for guests.

It lacks cleanliness. There are no restrooms, and the staff are unfriendly. I was brought an incomplete order, and when I told the staff member who delivered it, she told me to get the missing food myself. I've been here a few times in the past, and there hasn't been a single day when the staff were friendly.

Of what felt like 10 checkouts, only one was open, and there were long lines at the half-broken ordering terminals. That's unacceptable in one of Germany's busiest train stations. It's great that they're now offering plant-based options. This was long overdue. The nuggets are actually really tasty, but the burger isn't my cup of tea. The fact that it's advertised as vegan when it isn't is also outrageous.

Because our plane was delayed, we missed our train at 10:37 p.m. The next train wasn't until 4:50 a.m. We paid over 60 euros for food. At some point around 2:00 a.m. my wife was nodding off. The service manager wanted to throw us out because of this. We weren't allowed to sleep at the table. I sat at the table with my cell phone and watched a movie. I ate fries at the same time. There were plenty of free tables. In the background you could hear him throwing everyone out, regardless of whether they had ordered food or not. In the store itself we were approached several times by beggars asking if we could give them something to eat. The tables were very dirty and we had to clean them ourselves. The staff didn't have time for that. The food was okay. The employees were okay. The service manager, if you can call him that, doesn't deserve a star and shouldn't be working in customer service. We won't be going to the store again.

I was there with my little son. When we sat down and unpacked everything on the table, he had to go to the bathroom. I was almost shocked when I was told there were no restrooms. So we had to pack everything up quickly. You're supposed to go to a platform and use public restrooms, which 1. cost money and 2. were so disgusting that we were too filthy. It was a disaster! If you offer food and drinks, there has to be a restroom. How can you simply do without restrooms during renovations? I think it's a disgrace to paying customers. Otherwise, the staff were nice.

German (Polite and direct): Hello, I would like to share an unpleasant experience I had in your store today. I bought an ice cream for 3 euros and gave the employee 4 euros. After he gave me 1 euro in change, he suddenly said in front of all the other customers: "Give me back the euro, you only gave me 3 euros." This was very embarrassing and uncomfortable for me – especially because I'm sure I gave 4 euros. This kind of behavior in front of other customers is very disrespectful and disappointing, especially for 1 euro. I would have preferred a more polite and professional approach. We were stranded at the train station in Hamburg overnight today. We went to this McDonald's and were always served very friendly. Every now and then, strange characters appear in the restaurant, but they are immediately escorted out by the staff. So, if you're looking for a safe place near the train station in Hamburg, this is a great place to go. The shift supervisor was particularly noteworthy for his friendliness today :)

I had the absolute worst and most unfriendly experience I have ever had in a restaurant here. Admittedly it was very busy, I ordered via the terminal and after 52 minutes the order was called - completely incomplete! A burger was missing and instead of a Coke Zero there was a Sprite. I waited patiently and kindly and brought this to the staff's attention with my receipt. I was shouted at to get out, I was blocking everything and in the end I was actually pushed out by a completely unfriendly and aggressive security employee... AMAZING... If I hadn't had to catch my next connecting train, I would have tried to clarify this with the police. So I wrote down names and took photos - a complaint was made to the headquarters asking for a statement.

On a normal trip you are obliged to offer toilets as soon as you offer food on site. Apparently McDonald's has a different rule. Our hands were really dirty after work and we were told that there were toilets in the station. Of course, it's totally logical that if I want to eat something, I'll walk through the entire station to look for toilets. Honestly more than disgusting! And the meal didn't take almost half an hour. Great “fast food”

There's no point in redoing everything when you have staff like that. There is zero adherence to hygiene. The things taste like they are old, which they probably are. You get wrong things. We'll never go there again.

Simply great staff: I was there to grab some nuggets and coffee for the train as it was an additional 20 minutes late. I ordered everything relaxed and waited to receive my order. But suddenly it was announced that my train was canceled and that it would be replaced immediately. I was afraid of missing the new train and asked the staff to give me my order, even if it was incomplete. But the great staff showed compassion and completed my order very quickly. So I was able to catch the train on time and with nuggets. Thank you to the staff for their understanding, response & service. P.S. Yes, sometimes the metronome trains fail and need to be replaced, miracles happen a few times.
