Burger King in Hamburg

As always, there were no shakes or ice cream. I wonder how that can be. It should really be clearly stated. Amex isn't accepted as a payment method. The burger meat tasted stale and dry. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this place, even though it used to be my favorite Burger King. The staff sometimes seem more stressed, annoyed, and disinterested than polite and accommodating.

The taste isn't appealing to me at all. And the staff is often rude, which is one reason why I don't go there anymore.

Saleswoman wearing a headscarf, speaking poor German, not smiling. She doesn't seem very trustworthy. The meat wasn't really grilled - Whooper junior - Thank you!!

My favorite bakery in Hamburg, excellent preparation, and very friendly and helpful staff. I haven't been there in far too long!

Unfortunately, no Wi-Fi. The food was very dry. The service was mixed. No ice cream for dessert either. We went across the street to where there's a McDonald's. The group then ordered eight McFlurrys and left the money there.

Super friendly staff, super clean environment including restroom, only the faucet in the ladies' restroom is a bit dumb, otherwise super good Burger King, everything made with love❤️

The restaurant takes orders and then cancels them after making you wait. Last time, you couldn't even order during opening hours.

It's just a Burger King, but with a large parking lot, a small playground, and it's open until early in the morning. Easy to reach and fairly central.

I can definitely recommend this Burger King branch.

Truly our worst Burger King experience. There are no toys for the kids' menu, drinks come with ice even if ordered without, and the COLD burgers weren't properly assembled and everything was loose in the paper.

I'm very disappointed with my visit. The food was unfortunately cold, the staff were disrespectful and unfriendly, and the taste wasn't convincing either. This wasn't how I imagined my visit to Burger King would be. I hope the service and quality improve in the future.

There are no milkshakes here, even though the signs advertise the "King Shake." According to the employee, there's no machine for that, though. He said maybe in 6-7 months.

This borders on fraud! I ordered 3 Naruto menus and didn't get any figures. When I asked, I was told they were out. A few minutes later, new customers came in and they got figures. When I asked how that was possible, I was told I would definitely get figures, and that was it. So, I bought 3 menus and got ripped off for all 3 figures!!!

Burger King offers delicious burgers with great flavor and fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly and significantly better than at McDonald's. Overall, a solid fast-food experience.

My burgers were cold. I asked the staff about it, but they said the burgers were freshly made and couldn't be cold. They reluctantly warmed the burgers in the microwave.

I've never seen a Burger King restaurant where you could eat off the floor. They place a lot of emphasis on cleanliness. Truly top-notch!

Good burgers, good service. Was reasonably fast. The meal was hot and well made. Not one of those places where it feels like there's no care in making the food. Would go again.

A customer received food at the drive-thru. A few minutes later, the customer returned the food. The returned food was then thrown back into the display (burgers) by the supposed store manager, and the fries were thrown back with the fresh fries. ReFood at its best.

"The King Without a Crown" It stands at the busy Kieler Straße 222 – inconspicuous, gray, a bit tired: a Burger King like those found in many cities. And yet this one is special. Not because the food is better. Not because the decor is newer. No. But because it hasn't had an ice cream machine for years. Once upon a time, children, shining eyes, flocked in to snag a soft-serve cone with chocolate topping. Teenagers celebrated late nights with milkshakes that contained more sugar than milk. The ice cream machine whirred merrily – a hymn to cheap happiness. But then – one day – it fell silent. "Out of service," read a handwritten note that slowly yellowed. At first, the customers thought: Maintenance. Then: Bad luck. But weeks turned into months. And months turned into years. The store kept going – somehow. The burgers arrived lukewarm, the fries sometimes crispy, sometimes sadly soft. The staff changed frequently. Only the note remained. "Out of order." Rumor has it that the ice cream machine was discarded long ago. Others say it's there, but no one knows how to operate it. Or: The staff aren't even allowed to turn it on – too expensive, too much cleaning work, too risky. An old regular, Mr. Petersen, still comes by every Friday evening. He orders a small coffee and sits by the window. "I used to always have ice cream here," he says quietly. "The kids liked the vanilla with colorful sprinkles." Then he falls silent. The new customers still sometimes ask. "Do you have ice cream?" A quick glance. A tired "No, unfortunately." And outside, the world moves on. Lights from delivery services, honking cars, tired faces behind the wheel and at the counter. But inside this small Burger King on Kieler Straße, a gap remains. No ice cream. No cooling. No sweet treats at the end. Just a king. No crown. No ice cream. (Note: Mr. Petersen is, of course, fictitious, but it's a fact that the ice cream machine hasn't worked for many, many years. The branch has even been renovated in the meantime, but a new ice cream machine still hasn't arrived. There probably won't be one in the future, either.)

It's just a Burger King. I like it every now and then. These days, it's too expensive for what they offer. It's a shame that you can hardly ever find a clean table there.

Staff rude, food could be better

They were just cleaning when we came in, so everything was spotless. The service was great, and the man behind the cashier even went out of stock to get some toys from the display case. Thank you so much for that. 😉

Unfortunately, it's often disappointing: The sauces are often forgotten when ordering – a recurring problem. The fries are a bit of a gamble: about 50% of the time, they're good, the rest are rather soft and not very fresh. During HSV games, the atmosphere in the store is almost unbearable. There's definitely room for improvement.

Modern, clean, decent salad, familiar burgers, and expectations accordingly. The beef hamburger could have been spread with a bit more mustard on the relatively small patty. The plant-based burger had a decent consistency, but tasted a bit like smoked plastic. With enough ketchup, it's fine. I also wished I'd been given a napkin on my tray instead of the game (I didn't order anything to drink) (or at least been able to get one myself). If I want a fast-forward burger, I'd rather go here than at McD's.

Nationwide Burger King paper coupons are accepted. My special request, for which I paid a surcharge, was not fulfilled. Burger King generally doesn't have great customer satisfaction, but this location is less bad than the other Burger King locations in Hamburg that I know (e.g., at Altona Station, Osdorf). Update June 2025: Now it has new furniture and significantly worse service. I've never had to wait this long for my food – 15 minutes. It was impressive how overwhelmed all the guys were. I thought my burgers would at least be fresh and warm. But they were cold. Bye cocoa!

The staff is understaffed and unfortunately not well trained, thus overwhelmed. Burgers pile up on the counter, but no order is ready. Everyone waits forever, and the burgers are cold when they reach the customer. Unfortunately, parts of the order are often missing.

The food is Burger King standard, so, okay, there's nothing to complain about. What really annoys me is that I've been there at least five times in the last three months, and every time there are "problems" with the ice cream machine. If you don't want to clean the machine, then stop advertising milkshakes or ice cream! I don't just mean this for this branch, but for the entire company. It's a Germany-wide "problem" that the ice cream machines at Burger King are broken.

The ice cream machine broke without warning. Drinks were very thinly mixed and almost lukewarm. Everything was warm at the end, but the burger recipe was completely different from what I remembered. Nevertheless, the team was friendly and tried to mitigate the mistakes.

We received good advice. After my last visit to Burger King three years ago, I was extremely impressed with the quality and taste, unlike back then.

Very clean branch. Nice employees. One star deducted because you unfortunately have to wait a bit for your food when it's really busy, but the food you order is fresh and hot.

Already very clean. But the mozzarella cheese was cold and leathery. And the burgers a bit cold. But it is very clean, very nice staff and also open late.

I waited over 30 minutes for the order, my colleague had already had his order for 10 minutes and had almost finished it. Both had ordered at the same time, each a menu with a burger and an extra. The Cola with ice cubes that I ordered came without them, perhaps they had already melted. Burgers and fries were fresh and warm. 1 star for the service because it seems to be total chaos in the store. It's not fast food and it has nothing to do with the system. Next time I'll order a pizza from the gas station next door and eat it in the car, it's quicker and cheaper. 3 stars for food and ambience.

Burger King is always delicious, fast and inviting. It is also important that Russian appears in the service menu for those who have not yet learned German very well.

Still the best FF fries. Burger typically far away from the photo. Cola great cold. As is the case everywhere in system catering, the seating does not invite you to linger. Very nice staff.

It's not against the staff or the food. But if you park there to eat, be sure to keep your receipt/receipt. I now pay a 48 euro fine to Smart Parking for parking incorrectly because I don't have a receipt.

Very, very unfriendly service (once again - several times in the last few years), food not hot (not even for the first time), burgers prepared very, very unappetizing, dry and sticky, staff walking around the kitchen in civilian clothes, seating area seems very unclean and untidy, toilets unfortunately also unclean. We just tried it again - what a shame! We will no longer visit this Burger King and do not recommend it to other hungry people. There are plenty of alternatives in the immediate vicinity! (Of course there is a receipt to prove the visit!)

Went there late in the evening and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Fries and burgers hot and fresh, the team in a good mood, tables clean, great!

I went to the drive-thru. The clerk was very nice and friendly, but I waited in line for a whopping 11 minutes. That was a bit too long for a fast-food restaurant. But the wait was worth it. It was delicious.

Hygiene is a foreign word here! The employees in the kitchen wore tons of jewelry on their hands, the perfect place for germs and bacteria. When asked about this, the manager continued to discuss it.

Fries without salt and not fried no children's toys supposedly children were see sad 😢 not recommended wanted to eat in the restaurant sit with family and then they pack it for me to take away terrible service

The best McChicken is here ;) Just kidding! No, there's not much to say. The store is decent. Clean. It's all ok. You can do it. Tip to everyone: install the app beforehand. Otherwise it's really expensive.

I just wanted to go poop and suddenly I noticed that the door to the toilet block was open. My buddy had to stand so that I could relax and abseil down.

Every single employee in the store is overwhelmed to the max, even a dead one can remember more than the lady at the counter who puts the food together.

Eating as usual... today a bill arrives for a parking fee of €48 from 11:48 a.m. to 1:24 p.m.... probably should have eaten quicker...

Every time something is missing from my order - whether it's fries, sauces or even a whole burger. Another burger was missing today. This is extremely annoying and happens all the time. Very disappointing and unprofessional!

People PLEASE tell the people in the kitchen to use gloves. I saw from the drive how the kitchen worker simply put the patties on my xtra long with his fingers. You can also use pliers! And stop leaving the burgers jaws so long, the bottom is always hard and everything is just disgusting. Otherwise, please pay the employees a little more money then they might be more motivated

The food is fine, its what you would expect from a Burger King. But twice now, when ordering through Wolt, this restaurant has mixed up vegetarian and non vegetarian items. The first time it was ok, as everything delivered was vegetarian - but the second time the 'plant based' nuggets were meat - and this wasn't realised until partway through eating them. Once I can understand, as accidents do happen - but twice is either deliberate or just showing a complete lack of care and regard. Vegetarians be careful.

Ordered Big King and received it relatively quickly. However, the first one was cold and was exchanged for a supposedly fresh one. This was also lukewarm in the bread. However, the two meat patties were again cold to lukewarm. Not recommended for €6.29.

A newly renovated Burger King. It's actually always clean here. The service is not really friendly but you are served quickly. If you want to sin, this is a good place to sit.

It's good for a fast food restaurant. It tasted good and it was pretty clean too. Tables were always cleaned straight away and the collection points for trays etc. were emptied.

I must have exceeded my parking time. Costs 48 euros. I ordered food and ate it in the car, and digested it a bit in the car, I was in the car non-stop. The letter came automatically by post...

One of the better Burger Kings. Meet and Plant based were not confused. And requests for complaints were also responded to very nicely.

The food is not tasty. There are no hand towels and soap in the toilet, it is dirty. And they didn't even put the dessert we paid for in the children's set. And the fact that there is no ice cream at all is sad. The worst establishment of the network I have been to.

Unfortunately not recommended if you are not asked to pay an unauthorized parking fee. Situation; You are at an open branch for 6 people (we spent a total of 79 EUR) and use the parking spaces. 2 weeks later you have a letter in your mailbox asking you to pay 48 EUR because you ate at an open branch. Neither Burger King, nor the employees on site nor the parking provider want to support or help. Written information about the opening times on the respective day would have been sufficient. Pretty poor performance. Therefore, I would never recommend anyone to eat there if even the parking provider and the branch cannot or do not want to communicate properly.

Again the staff didn't manage to put all the items we ordered and paid for into the bag... Unfortunately you really have to check your order, I have NEVER received all the items I paid for! Only noticed in the hotel that something was missing!!

Extremely unfriendly staff, food is often cold and dried out! In addition, there is no recommendation to park there because their parking service will give you a fine after weeks on the grounds that you parked there and need a receipt as proof, I don't know anyone who keeps their BurgerKing receipt!

The boss, who is of Asian descent, is very rude and unfriendly. We were there just before 4:00 a.m. on Thursday. When we ordered we asked at the checkout if we could stay inside longer, they said it wouldn't be a problem! We were also happy to pay good tips! Shortly before closing time, the boss came three times and said we had to go outside. When a friend accidentally let the tray slip out of his hand and fall onto the floor as he was leaving, the boss started insulting us in her language. When we sat down outside, I noticed that my jacket was still hanging on the chair in the store. When I entered the store I saw that they had deliberately thrown my jacket on the wet floor. My phone and other valuables were in my jacket! Normally, during training, whether in a normal restaurant or a fast-food restaurant, you learn that you let your guests sit while they eat, just make them aware that the shop is closing, but that the guests can finish their meal in peace !?

The interior has now been renovated. Looks really cozy and is much more pleasant than before 👍👍
