McDonald's in Trier

This was a terrible mistake. Almost an hour wait for food and when it came it was cold. When this was pointed out to staff it seems to be an inconvenience to them to have to serve warm food. The lady manager seemed more interested in texting on her phone than making her business run smoothly. If overwhelmed why not prevent new customers until you clear the back log. Hlad I will never have to return here but it has damaged the brand in my eyes.

The wait for food is now 30 minutes. Today was the absolute worst – over an hour. This isn't fast food anymore. It's gone downhill significantly.

The employees kept clicking through all the numbers on the screen, even though they weren't finished. When the number finally appeared under "Ready for Pickup," the food wasn't ready. Therefore, an important warning: Don't go there when the number lights up. It was completely packed and kept getting busier, but no orders were being handed out. This went on for about 15 minutes. Absolutely awful. We waited over 15 minutes and nothing came out. I even saw a customer who only ordered a single Big Mac and a drink wait just as long. Completely disorganized. At the pickup station, they just click away the numbers even though the orders aren't ready – completely confusing and unfair to the customers. And then there's this: I ordered a coffee with oat milk, but got regular milk. I'm lactose intolerant. The result: my lunch was completely ruined. To the staff: I was there at 11:30 am today and the food arrived at 11:45 am.

One star is too much. The team was completely overwhelmed. We waited a very long time, and then our food arrived cold. We sent it back and waited again. It was a little warmer, but for that price, it was outrageous, and the order wasn't complete. Unfriendly staff, dirty tables, trash everywhere, even on the floor. Absolutely not recommended. Slowest McDonald's Drive-Thru EVER!!!

The food was cold, and we waited an incredibly long time, almost 30-40 minutes. There was trash everywhere on the floor, and the return racks were overflowing. The staff had removed the table service stands, so we couldn't get our food brought to our tables. We went back three days later, and it was even worse. The McDonald's was almost empty; there were only two other families sitting there, and we still had to wait 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, the staff are never friendly, especially the woman. I won't be coming back. This place will lose all its customers.

One of the main girls at the counter spent more time on her phone than doing any work. The service provided was appalling. We will never be back.

We waited 10 minutes at the McCafé for a waiter. A few employees came by every now and then, but we were skillfully ignored. It was busy, but not a thing. In the meantime, we had time to look around. The entire McCafé counter area was very messy and dirty. Coffee grounds were scattered everywhere, the milk jugs were scattered in various places with dried milk residue. The milk frother nozzles looked like they hadn't been wiped in a while, etc. We decided to cut short the wait and just left. Things have been different. What a shame!

So, this has nothing to do with fast food anymore. Waiting over an hour for food is pretty intense. The staff isn't capable of handling such a large influx of customers. Employees wander around the store confusedly with a tray full of food, unable to find the customers, so it certainly wasn't warm. Garbage disposals are constantly overflowing, so you have no choice but to leave the tray at the table. Something needs to be done about this urgently; we'll go to Burger King instead!

Good quality, significantly better than Bitburg. The new M Burger is the only good burger at McDonald's. I only eat that one.

I ordered food to eat here and had to wait over an hour. I wasn't the only one; other customers were just as stupid. When I complained, I was told my food would come right away. My order, and everyone else's, had disappeared from the system. The staff told me to sit down and they would bring it. After another 20 minutes, I complained again. Then it finally came, and surprise, the food was completely cold... So I waited 1:20 hours for cold food. And that in a "fast food" restaurant. Honestly, this was the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. Zero organization, zero service, zero interest in the customer. You get the feeling that everything is completely haphazard. For me, this was definitely my last time at this overwhelmed dump. I should have read the reviews beforehand; they reflect exactly what I experienced. It's simply embarrassing what's going on here.

McDrive disaster: no card payment at the first window, and when instructed to go to the next window, they ignore you. The food was incomplete, the nuggets tasted like they'd been fried in grease repeatedly and weren't fresh. Eating here always takes about 45 minutes. It takes about 45 minutes to get your food. The conditions are appalling. There's always a gigantic line. Food distribution has gotten worse. Unfortunately, nothing has changed here. The conditions are still as catastrophic as you can imagine. The drive-thru is in appalling conditions. We've been standing in the same spot for about 30 minutes. It just doesn't move forward. All I can say is, don't drive down the street near me. It's not even worth eating here. Catastrophic conditions.

Why can't the staff get the order right first time.

Burger and fries are very small and not filling, I think the prices are a bit expensive but the taste is good.

Fast-food restaurants are different. On our last visit to MC Drive-In, we had to wait 40 minutes for our food to finally arrive. This was even with only four vehicles ahead of us.

Ideally, nothing at all! A complete disaster! I've been there a few times now, and literally EVERY time the food was wrong or cold (or both!). I called this time because I've had enough, and I didn't even get a proper answer. I wasn't allowed to speak to the manager or anything. It's best not to go there; the last Mecces I'd recommend! On top of that, all the employees are constantly overwhelmed, and I waited 45 minutes for four burgers. :)

By far one of the most disgusting and dirty restaurants in all of Rhineland-Palatinate and the border regions. Tables are always dirty, shelves are always full, and the food is always a game of chance, whether it's the right thing.

For a public toilet it's actually quite good

I just wanted my Iced Coffee Shake Caramel – I've never had any problems with it before. But this time, one employee made it wrong, and then another made it wrong three times: no coffee, just a milkshake with caramel sauce and cream. My comment was ignored; they claimed it was correct. I've never experienced anything like it before. In the end, I had to take my money back and go somewhere else. The service overall also seemed slow and disorganized. The staff urgently needs better training in preparing the products.

Once again, the iced coffee caramel is without coffee, and the Happy Metal is a Smurf from a previous promotion. Even a complaint hasn't been responded to. Trier is too far from the Academy. Otherwise, things would be a completely different story.

And here we are again, at McDonald's Trier... you are simply incompetent, ALL of you! No one, absolutely no one, is capable of handling even one order completely. Not even once, until everything is there, no!... You're starting to think this is a scam to make more money.

Well, it has been better, it's not particularly big considering the crowds there at certain times.

I've been doing TikTok live at McDonald's for four years, filming only myself, and have been supported by the managers for years. Today, an employee rudely kicked me out during the live because someone complained I was filming others. He didn't care what I said or that I was advertising for this restaurant for free. He didn't even want to tell me his name. It's a shame to be treated like this.

How can you possibly enjoy your chicken nuggets without sauce? The sauce is the best part of the whole meal! There should have been five packages, but there were exactly zero. Unfortunately, this happens all too often at McDonald's.

When I complained to the shift manager, all I got was the rude response: "That's the way it is." The service at this branch has always been borderline, but this experience was the last straw. We were at the McDrive today around 6:30 p.m., and I ordered two caramel iced coffees to go. As we drove off and I tried the drinks, we realized: it was just McSundae ice cream with an excessive amount of caramel sauce, way too sweet, had no coffee flavor, and didn't even look like coffee. The whole thing cost over €8, and it was absolutely disappointing. We had to throw it away because it was so disgusting. Never again!

There were three of us in the restaurant at around 3:00 a.m. The food was as you would expect from a McDonald's; hunger drives it in. The employees were friendly, but it took forever to take our order, even though there was no one else in front of us. Now let's get to the part why I'm writing this review. The atmosphere was a disaster. I felt sick while eating because ALL the tables were littered with rubbish from the people who had eaten there before us. The fact that the employees did nothing to stop this mess is negligent and almost criminal. I can understand if too few people are scheduled to be there after midnight, but if the place looks the way we found it, then unfortunately they have to close early. An outrage and the worst experience I've ever had at a McDonald's. The €30 we spent there was the worst investment of the last decade.

But the real nightmare unfolded once we started eating. Instead of a Sprite we got a Fanta, a blatant error that ruined the drink choice for the meal. And as if that wasn't enough, despite ordering the notoriously messy McRib, there were no paper towels, no refreshing towel, nothing! This wasn't just a minor mix-up; it was a cascade of basic failures. This visit was a stark, horrifying reminder why the drive-through at this McDonald's is less of a convenience and more of a high-stakes lottery where you're guaranteed to lose.

Update: Tried again after three months, this time on a holiday. But the wait wasn't quite as long, despite the business. I placed my order in the app at the door for takeout. As I said, it was much better than last time, but when I got home and wanted to drink my soda, it was just fizzy. First of all, we ordered online for pickup. I didn't consider that it might be busier at that time because of a sporting event. I had to wait a while for my order, which wasn't a problem. But the food was unfortunately cold, not even lukewarm, just cold. It's a shame. I realize that not everything is completely warm when I order to go. But I haven't had burgers that were completely cold yet. The apple turnovers, however, were still warm. So it would have been only the burgers and, unfortunately, the fries that were cold.

Overall, the cafe deserves 3 stars. On our first visit, we ordered three flavors of ice cream. The cashier gave us 6 euros in change, when he should have given us 8. I've been there several times now and each time part of the order was missing. That can't be the case because it's really not that difficult. Last time I had a wrap and nuggets and I only got the nuggets? You have to notice that when you place the order. How does something like that work? It's unacceptable that you order here and only end up with half of the food. What kind of crap shop is this when they don't listen at the order counter. The tone of the boss (?) towards the employees is not acceptable at all, especially not in front of the customers. His tone towards customers isn't much better, plus there are condescending looks. There are errors in every order. You get a different drink as ordered, the Happy Meal doesn't come with the toy you selected, a milkshake without a straw and when you ask you are only told that the dispenser is empty and that you should take one there.
