McDonald's in Trier

The most rude staff I have ever encountered in my life. The little old lady working at the register insults customers and gets disproportionately upset. I worked at McDonald's myself for a while and never imagined they would treat customers like that. If I could, I would give zero stars. I will definitely file an official complaint. This is completely unacceptable. To the lady at the register: if you hate your job so much, perhaps you should find another occupation. I did too, but I never insulted customers.

Why do you have to pay €1 for the toilet, which then has a cubicle that you can't even lock?!

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. You can barely hear yourself think, the toilets cost money, and the staff yells. One employee was arguing with another, and as soon as he left, she insulted him loudly and clearly (at least, that's what I heard because I was standing right in front of her). I'd rather not write what she said here, or I'll get banned or something, but it was definitely NOT family-friendly (I was there with my school class, so that says something). I hope she's been fired by now. And my order wasn't complete (but that's the case for most people). Not recommended. 1 star.

Ten minutes before closing time: the server was already complaining as soon as we entered the restaurant. We only wanted two McFlurries, and of course, the ice cream machine was "broken" again. The woman at the register immediately complained, "Can't you see the ice cream machine is broken?" After that, we headed towards the exit when suddenly a young male employee started gleefully singing: "NO ICE CREAM FOR YOU, NO ICE CREAM, YOU'LL HAVE TO GO HOME!" I have never experienced such rudeness in a McDonald's, such disrespectful staff. I understand the frustration of ordering so close to closing time, but McDonald's DOESN'T CLOSE until TWELVE, not ten minutes before. Besides, it was only for two McFlurries, not a huge order. And that's not even considering the fact that the restaurant was practically empty.

The last shop was truly awful; the service was unfriendly, the staff seemed like they were from a nursing home, no coupons were accepted, and they wanted to charge a euro for the toilet – simply outrageous!

Unfortunately, the McDonald's points program isn't accepted here... The tables were dirty. I think they're understaffed, because the carts were full of trash during our visit. The restroom costs €1. Before you order, you have to go to the restroom first so you can use the receipt at the checkout.

Very disappointing Our burgers were disgusting, with hair in them! The staff was unfriendly and there are no digital kiosks. Plus, you can't redeem McDonald's loyalty points. Hygiene and service were extremely poor. Never again.

Unfortunately, the McDonald's Trier disappoints in several respects. Despite the increasing digitalization of the fast-food sector, this restaurant offers neither digital ordering kiosks nor the option to order via the McDonald's app or other online platforms. This is particularly unfortunate, as numerous studies demonstrate that digital ordering systems can not only speed up the ordering process but also strengthen customer loyalty and increase sales. It is incomprehensible why the franchisee does not use these modern technologies, especially since they have been successfully implemented in other McDonald's restaurants. The decision to forgo digital innovations therefore seems not only regressive but also commercially unwise. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the lack of digital offerings and the associated limitations.

The employee was completely unfriendly. She read out our order while we were pushing our chairs forward. She said, "Is anything going to happen today?" in a really rude way. She then simply threw the food in front of us.

The food was as usual. But as for the rest: There were no napkins. The ice cream dripped onto my hands, the table, and the floor as I walked to the table—and I had nothing to wipe it up with. I was also surprised that the restroom itself is a €1 charge for customers. The lock was broken in one stall, and there was no paper in the other.

This McDonald's is independent of the app, so unfortunately I couldn't use a coupon.

Food okay, extremely unfriendly

I bought a chocolate milkshake there today that was sour. When I told the server, he just became rude and unfriendly.

So, €2.50 for an average cheeseburger is pretty cheeky. I did, however, meet Kim Jong-un (he screamed like a child), Putin besieged the Mecca, and lots of kids played with balloons. The restroom was a bit extremely dirty, and the whole experience wasn't really worth recommending, but Kim Jong-un and Ivan the Terrible were there, so it was still a wonderful experience for me. 10/10

The only good thing about this McDonald's is its location. It's near the Porta Nigra on the market square. Otherwise, there's really not much positive to say. The restrooms cost €1, which can be partially recouped with a voucher. However, you'd expect the restrooms to be at least halfway decent, but that's far from the case. The restrooms are filthy, there's no paper towels, and the hand dryer is halfway off the wall. I didn't try it because it also looked rancid and I didn't feel like spreading germs, but I assume it's broken anyway. At least there was soap. A measly cheeseburger costs €2.50. You can't even enjoy it because it's extremely loud and sometimes difficult to have a conversation. Furthermore, the interior is heavily soiled with food residue. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. I would recommend anyone who isn't particularly keen on eating at McDonald's to go to one of the nearby bakeries.

The service and waitresses were truly top-notch. However, the prices are completely unreasonable. McDonald's has become far too expensive for what you get there.

The worst McDonald's I've seen doesn't want to make the effort to speak English, which is a universal language, and it takes a very long time to wait for an order, and they should put in terminals to make it easier for tourists.

Very poor service. Tablets aren't cleared, and hygiene is disregarded, as tables aren't cleaned for long periods. The food is mediocre and the staff aren't attentive. No digital ordering is possible. All in all, one of the worst fast food restaurants I've ever visited.

We ordered our food home via Lieferando. Two cheeseburgers, a menu, apple turnover and chicken nuggets. The staff wasn't able to deliver everything with the small order - it really can't be that difficult to check and deliver everything given the size of the order. The cheeseburgers were missing. When we noticed something was missing, we called immediately. After delivery, none. You have to write an email to Lieferando to get your money back. So people - check your order right at the door. Thanks for nothing.

Disgraceful service and half an hour for that without being sanitized

Today we visited McDonald's with friends and wanted to get a coupon and order some ice cream. Unfortunately, a nice employee couldn't offer us this, and so the manager shouted at him and insulted him with incomprehensible words. Probably because he is a foreigner. I think this kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in a company like this. This manager was the worst I have ever experienced at a McDonald's. From now on I will only visit the McDonald's in Bitburg.

I had dinner there with my daughter last Thursday. My daughter asked an older employee there with medium-long gray hair how she was doing. The employee then asked her harshly: “Why are you asking?” my daughter replied: "Just like that." The employee replied: "Yes, yes, just like that... leave me alone!" It is always said that today's children no longer say hello and are so badly behaved. And then a child does it and then gets bullied like that.

Outrageous! I bought THREE Happy Meals, but 2 Happy Meals Chicken Nuggets and a Cheeseburger were missing. How can such a huge store not be able to get a simple order right? This isn't the first time something like this has happened. You should really be ashamed of such service. Absolutely disappointing and unacceptable!

Wow, this is not what you would expect from a McDonald's. Sticky floor, dirty tables, fries had a strange taste, burgers were not warm, service was too slow, 1 euro for the toilet... downright bad. Not worth a visit.

Unbelievable, a McDonald's where you as a customer have to pay one euro for the toilet. This needs to be checked; according to the restaurant regulations, establishments must be provided with seating and toilets. Never again!

Everything is fine with this restaurant. The waiter is very attentive, the tables are clean and organized. The prices are a little more expensive than what was shown on the website. Everything is hot and very tasty, the service is very fast and the delivery is correct. The surrounding area is very busy, so you can walk around and explore. I recommend it.

One star is still too many 😡😡😡 You can't even manage to put 4 ordered burgers in the bag. Counting to 4 must be really difficult.

It is very tight and you have to wait in line for a long time (approx. 15-20 minutes). There are no order monitors. As with any McDonald's, the food actually tastes good.

This McDonald's is by far the worst in the region. The food is mediocre, which isn't the problem, but rather the long wait times at the checkouts and the poor cleanliness. The floor is sticky, as if it hasn't been cleaned in weeks, and the tables and benches are no better. Aside from the fact that you can't collect and redeem your bonus points, this branch doesn't particularly shine with modernity or progress. Although this branch is due for a renovation soon, hopefully the cleanliness will be improved. My burger bun was soggy and dented. The employees are friendly, but they're too slow at the checkouts.

Unfortunately closed for renovation

The most positive thing about this McDonalds is its location in the center of the city. That's about it. The food is of course of average McDonald's quality, it's just fast food, but okay. There are relatively few seats downstairs, the upper floor, where there are more seats, is sometimes closed. Unfortunately, the service staff and the checkout staff are extremely unfriendly and often rude. In winter I sometimes order the Big Rösti, always with a dash of extra sauce. This was never a problem in the branches in Koblenz or in the other two McDonalds in Trier West/North and my wishes were respected and implemented. I would also pay extra for it, no problem. Unfortunately, at the main market I was laughed at by the slightly older cashier and called stupid because “you wouldn’t do that”. Well, thank you so much for that. Dealing with customers: 6, put, thank you. The younger service staff sometimes forget or completely mix up orders. There were 4 of us in total in the food queue, me at the front. I ordered a burger to go. While I waited at the front for 25 minutes, I saw the three people behind me getting their food and numerous new customers being served. When asked, the branch manager was able to identify the error with the cashier. Unfortunately it happened often. Several times entire burgers or side dishes were missing, despite an eternal wait. Unfortunately the worst McDonalds in Trier.

Located right in the center of Trier, just a stone's throw from the Porta Nigra, it is one of the most visited in the city. We were there on the evening of March 18th and were fortunately served quickly. Unfortunately, one of the employees was quite unfriendly, which spoiled the experience somewhat. A little more friendliness would be welcome.

McDonald's really sucks. The fries were still frozen and the cheeseburger had been there for a week. The cheese had already melted to the packaging and the prices were covered and increased. Absolute impudence. Never again !!!

The worst McDonald's ever. McRib and Caesar salad were terribly bad. If you want to wash your hands afterwards, as a severely disabled person you have to go up the stairs to the first floor. When you get there you ask for money to go to the sink. I've never experienced anything like this before. Rip-off to the power of 3. Never again.

The store is so incredibly dirty... The floor is sticky and everything is dirty. There is no hygiene, especially for a place where you get food.

McDonald's as it was 15 years ago. No app, no points, nothing. The highlight is that you have to pay one euro for the toilet (you get it back if you eat it) but the sanitary facilities are absolutely disgusting and in need of renovation

I would like to complain about the unfriendly behavior of one of your employees. She is short, has short hair and seems a little older than the other employees. I have visited your branch several times and each time your behavior has been unpleasant and disrespectful. Dirty toilets, no atmosphere, unfriendly service, dirty tables and floors, that's not how we know MC Donalds in the Netherlands

Unfortunately there was no ramp at the entrance door, making access for strollers and wheelchair users much more difficult. The lines stretched out the door and orders, despite their simplicity, took over 10 minutes. It was obvious that there was a lack of staff and the existing team was not adequately trained. In addition, the cleanliness of the tables left something to be desired and it was observed that bread baskets were left on the kitchen floor. There is an urgent need for action here.

I give it one star because it's not possible to give it zero! Today I was standing in line waiting to eat. Two lines formed and I stood in front of the cashier for about 10 minutes while the little older waitress called the next one over to take the order. When I asked if the cash register wasn't working, everyone looked at me with a stupid look and they said that the employee in front of me was preparing the other customer's order and only then could he serve me... they work slowly and disorganized as I Seeing that I had been waiting there for a long time at the front of the line, I looked at the woman condescending to the guard and I thought she could help me, to which she replied: “No, you stay in your line, there are two lines, there unless you want to go to the end go.” Is this serious? Have you been waiting for more than 10 minutes for someone to put two juices and some chips on a tray and get this answer? They are well located but the service is terrible. I had ordered a McMuffin Sausege & Egg and instead got a McMuffin Chicken where the cheese wasn't even melted but cold and flat. The flatbread of my McWrap Bacon stuck to the paper, which meant that half of the flatbread felt like it was gone. And even though it wasn't busy, my order came 15 minutes later.

Some of the staff were unfriendly and very slow. It seems a bit disorganized at times. The ice cream from the ice cream machine is much too soft or you get the impression that the machine is not cooling sufficiently because it is often already slightly liquid. The burger is often cold too

We waited in line for over half an hour. And our food was cold and the ice cream melted.

The order wasn't correct and we didn't get any towels and the ice cubes were too small so they ended up in our mouths when we drank because there wasn't a lid included.

Even going to the toilet costs (1€). That's not fun when you go out to eat with your family; The consumption voucher can only be redeemed afterwards. It doesn't work at all. I recently ate at McDonald's and overall it was a good experience. The food was fresh and the selection is huge - from classic burgers to delicious salads. The service was quick and the staff friendly. A small point of criticism is that the cleanliness in the restaurant was not consistently convincing. Some tables could perhaps have been cleaned up a bit more. Overall, a solid place for a quick snack or cheap meal. I'd love to come back! 4 stars!

Rarely have I experienced such an unfriendly restaurant employee as here. Food was classic McDonald's. There were no drinks advertised on the billboard - there was no explanation as to why and if only temporarily, so possibly just a one-day problem.

An absolute juice shop. The staff tries hard, but they only speak very little German. The only one who understands a little more gets upset when a child chooses a toy because they don't feel like looking for it in the chaos. The cleanliness in the store also leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely never again

i couldn’t get a sprite even though there was multiple bottles of sprite in the fridge and the man wasn’t explaining why until the woman came and explained that i needed to buy either a water or an apple thing to be able to get the sprite. but it was in the fridge so i don’t understand why. no straw or lid on my coke which led to it being spilled.
