McDonald's in Trier

During our visit after the renovations, we waited a really long time for our food. The order came at 6:42 PM and was delivered at 7:15 PM... And it was really, really cold (except for the fries). The employee who brought it was just as uninterested as the owner himself, whom I contacted by email afterward. There was never a response... I would definitely not visit Moselauen again.

This one with the brown hair has zero respect and talks to the customers like trash. The food is cold and the fries are hard or soggy and taste disgusting. They don't even give you napkins. Not recommended 🤢 And the workers have no patience either.

Absolutely beautiful since the renovation

New shop, new team. Absolute disaster. Several visits after the renovation. Infinitely long waits. Waiting boards at the counter that are switched off. Almost, probably exclusively, Indian-speaking compatriots only hear the German numbers called out in a completely incomprehensible way. Which then again leads to confusion. I have only seen 1-2 members of the old team at most. Also had a cold burger, complained, was looked at in disbelief: yes, a new one is coming. Then they just leave someone standing. I went back, and the German shift manager said: what's wrong with it?...COLD. New burger, no apology, nothing. Today the McFlurry was half full. Definitely a much worse experience than before. As soon as there's even the slightest bit of activity, nothing works. I can therefore confirm the other reviews.

Since reopening, the McDrive has been a complete disaster. You wait even longer than you already do, and there's always something wrong with your order.

We had to wait a good 45 minutes for our food today, and that's just unacceptable at McDonald's. And then an elderly lady wanted to go to the bathroom, and since she wasn't very good at walking, she had to use her walker to get to the accessible bathroom, where she couldn't even close the door, and that's just unacceptable.

I love McDonald's and every country i go i find one but here in DE the service was very slow. I've experienced it several times now..whether it's for take out or dine in.. a lot of customers are complaining about it too. For an ice cream and shake, it took them 35min.. I wish they can set someone to do each section in the kitchen, fries section, dessert section, drink section, etc., so it will be more faster.. Mcdonalds is a fast food chain. Only here in DE i have experienced this slow pace.

I actually have to compliment McDonald's at this point. I was here for the first time today after the renovations. It's been beautifully designed and very clean. But first things first: I haven't seen such friendly employees in a long time. Keep up the good work!

We always eat at the restaurant. We think the renovation was a great success; so far, it's always been very clean. A definite improvement. Both during peak hours and in the morning. Keep it up! We usually only eat at breakfast. The coffee, in particular, is absolutely excellent value for money! The breakfast items were delicious and of good quality in every respect. 4/5 We have to offer some constructive criticism regarding the service: everyone has been very friendly so far – nothing wrong with that. However, we have now waited at least 20 minutes for our ordered items three times in a row. Once, there was absolutely no business; today, very little. The last time, we even had to ask twice, but it still took almost 30 minutes. The apology was friendly and sincere; appreciated. But still, these aren't the usual times you're used to at a McDonald's. 2/5 We'll definitely come back and see if things have improved. Then we'll definitely enjoy going more often. Overall: 3/5

Another complete disaster -,- We ordered two takeaway meals. After about 10 minutes, our order was ready, but they didn't give it to us. They took care of the two ladies first because there weren't anything wrong with their order either. At first, that was fine. This took 10 minutes, though. Then finally, we were called, took our order, opened the bag in the car, and immediately noticed that the fries were missing. I went in pretty annoyed. I got the fries without any ifs or buts, so far, so good. At home, however, I notice that the nuggets are also missing. In other words, half of one of the menu items had been forgotten, which I then complained about over the phone. They apologized and suggested a solution: "Next time you come, you'll get a free portion of nuggets." Hello, I paid for the nuggets, and you don't want to charge me for them next time as a gesture of goodwill. I was also told on the phone that this has been happening more often lately and that they would talk to their employees again. Then invest a little more money in decent staff if the current ones aren't working. Oh yeah, and the burger was cold after a 10-minute drive. Not lukewarm, COLD

Yes, it was nice, but you had to wait a long time to get in. It was a McDonald's near the Saarbasar in Saarbrücken. But it was a nice children's playground.

I actually like going to McDonald's every now and then, but I've never experienced what happened last Sunday. It was very busy, yes. But waiting an hour for two meals is a lot. But we understood that. Then the food came. The Fanta wasn't even full. I ate three chicken wings, and the second and third ones the chicken wasn't cooked through. It was raw and still red. That's really annoying, because three euros for three chicken wings is already a lot. The staff seemed pretty annoyed. I can understand that they're very busy, but you should pay attention to the quality of the food. We didn't get any compensation, because the staff also hardly understood us when we asked questions.

I waited over 40 minutes for my order! Something was missing again... It's a shame. Before the renovations, it was simply better and more comfortable here.

The quality of the food was abysmal during my visit. Cold fries, warm drinks, and a cold burger that was half-baked.

A typical Mäckes, but I always find it stupid that there are apparently never enough staff to clean up the tables, chairs, benches, the floor and even the toilets after the chip fights or unhygienic toilet excesses of some stupid customers promptly after they leave.

Not recommended. Other locations are much better.

Well, I don't really know what to think about this. I had to stand at the drive-thru for over 30 minutes until the old lady finally spoke to me and then she simply walked away several times during the conversation and I then had to wait repeatedly for up to 20 minutes. It's a shame, actually.

I drive here quite often, always through the McDrive, and every time I order, among other things, a double chicken burger. Today, for the sixth time in a row, it says double on paper, but there's only a single inside. They should not only renovate the building, but above all, hire employees who do their jobs properly!

Absolute disaster! I waited half an hour for my food. Afterward, I wanted an MC Flurry, which I was finally able to order after a quarter of an hour as the first person at the counter. Absolutely uncoordinated and incompetent staff. I won't even mention the wait time at the MC Flurry. If I search the dictionary for the word "uncoordinated," I'll find a photo of this branch.

The renovation (which I consider unsuccessful) will have to be paid for quickly. There's no other explanation for being sold such bad food. If I'd eaten at the restaurant, I would have complained. After all, the food is expensive enough. Fries that aren't fully cooked, a Coke that's at least 1/3 ice, and—to top it all off—a McRib with practically no sauce! My craving for a McRib is over for at least half a year, and the McDonald's in the Moselle meadows won't be seeing me again anytime soon.

I was just there with my husband, placed an order at the machine, waited over 40 minutes and the food didn't come at where is this another fast food restaurant?????? Then I went to the checkout and asked for my money back, which worked without any problems, at least something positive. But I definitely won't go here again. Since the renovation, this McDonald's location has been a disgrace. You wait almost an hour for your food, The area below is completely overcrowded and the display of when each order is ready doesn't work either. The employees mix up orders, call out the numbers incorrectly and the food is sometimes not prepared correctly. (occupied) I've been there twice now and it's getting worse instead of better.

Very disappointed by today's experience. 45min wait for food. It arrived with tepid unsalted fries. My burger arrived with sauce when I asked for no sauce. The sauce sachets and toys we ordered with our meals were absent. When we asked the server he did come back with toys but did not come back with our sauce sachets. The self service machine didn't accept our payment card so we had to queue to pay, the same card worked fine at the service desk. The playground was locked. I have no idea what you did with the sauce from the mcrib or is that what you wanted from above? The last few years you've been looking for the sauce on the mcrib, it's incredibly dry for a mcrib that normally required 10 wipes to clean your mouth. It's like that in every McDonald's in Trier.

Since opening after the renovation, the food has been really good. The service was quick and also courteous. It is cleaned and tidied up very thoroughly and often. The ambience has been completely renewed and looks really good. The only small mark was that my table wasn't screwed properly at the top🤣.

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly. The restaurant itself looks good, unfortunately the new concept of the serving area is very unstructured and the food suffers again as a result.

So much money was spent on a renovation but apparently a lot of savings were made on staff. How can it be that every order has been incomplete since it opened? There is always something missing or something is wrong. It also takes an extremely long time. I was there with a colleague. He got the wrong burger, and I was missing a fries. Since the introduction of the two-lane McDonald's, things have been a mess here. The man at the cash register simply held the card reader up to us without any communication, so we ended up paying the wrong amount and were asked to get out and pay again. When we expressed our displeasure about this situation (a combination of the wrong order and payment issues), the employee just gave us a "stupid" smile. We didn't expect much from the Messepark, but we could never have dreamed of this. Insane

I often go to various McDonald's. The food was okay, and the service was friendly. I can't comment on the cleanliness. I only picked up my order, and there were no complaints; everything was exactly as ordered. It can happen that you get parked in the drive-up if the drive-up is busy. So be careful where you park! I've seen this problem at other restaurants, too.

I'm sorry to say that my last visit to this restaurant was a very disappointing experience. As soon as I entered, I immediately noticed the general uncleanliness, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. It gave the impression that the cleaning was only very superficial, even though there were enough staff present. The staff seemed to have nothing to do, but instead of caring about the cleanliness, they were talking loudly and shouting across the room. This conveyed anything but professionalism and didn't exactly make you feel comfortable. In addition, the food - especially the burgers - was almost always faulty. Every visit there were several missing ingredients, and it really got to the point where it almost seemed like the norm. It was very frustrating to see time and again that simple things like how to properly prepare a burger were ignored. Unfortunately the shop seems to be falling into disrepair. The employees seem increasingly listless, which is clearly reflected in the quality of the products and the furnishings of the restaurant. The furniture is worn out and it seems like the owners or managers no longer have any interest in keeping the restaurant in good shape. All in all, I couldn't recommend this restaurant more. The atmosphere is unpleasant, the staff is inattentive and the food often leaves a lot to be desired. It would be a real shame if this place continued to fall into disrepair.

Went to McDonald's again, it's the closest one, but it was definitely the last time. For the first time, the extras were missing on the burgers. The second time the fries were missing. The third time it was the wrong drinks and today two burgers were missing. I have no idea who works there (there was definitely enough staff there), but no one watches over anything and just does what they want. Everything is dirty/broken, 6 employees just stand around and something is always not complete when ordering.

Conclusion: Fast food is of course not intended for daily consumption, but if it happens in between, then like today! Update: Good service again today. Pick up an order from the app at the drive-thru counter. The employee “at the first window” said “Enjoy your meal!” desired. During one of the last visits, however, it was noticeably cool inside - you probably don't want to make it too pleasant and subtly keep the time you spend there short.
