We've been there three times now. We've waited ages for breakfast. Once at the drive-thru, it was almost 20 minutes – that was the worst! Today we waited almost 30 minutes inside the restaurant. I mean, it's gotten so incredibly expensive, the portions are smaller, and now you have to wait forever for a meal.

Food was cold and burgers soggy. The place is just filthy, especially the toilets. Maybe Günter Wallraff should investigate and shut it down. Two years and a renovation later, it's only gotten worse. Completely overwhelmed staff who can't speak a word of German. Customer service is nonexistent, but the owner doesn't seem to care as long as the money keeps rolling in.

I have to agree with the negative reviews. During peak hours, it's like a bustling market. The order number for pickup is shouted out in broken German across the noisy restaurant, making it almost impossible to understand. Apparently, they accept wait times of up to an hour – even though McDonald's is known for its fast food. The staff are trying their best and are friendly, but I'm not sure what the problem is – whether it's the renovation, staff shortages, or an underdeveloped concept. Unfortunately, it's all to the detriment of the customers.

When it was still a self-service McDonald's, we used to come here regularly and loved it. But since you have to place your order yourself at the kiosk and then have the food brought to your table or go to the pick-up counter, we don't like it at all anymore. The wait for your food is far too long, and the burgers are barely lukewarm inside. After the recent renovation, most of the seats are just a wall. It's a real shame.

Dear McDonald's Team, I have been a regular customer at the Messepark Trier restaurant for over 25 years. This location used to be the best McDonald's in the entire area – I've never had any complaints, neither with the food nor the service. Unfortunately, things have changed a lot since the reopening: • Chicken burgers are often hard and overcooked – never had that before. • Ice cream is regularly only half full. • Chocolate sauce, despite ordering twice, is only a small extra dollop. • Tables are often wet. A squeegee under the umbrellas would have been sufficient. Instead, the table was wiped down with a bucket of water and a washcloth. Afterward, a hair, probably from my private area, was right next to my food – my appetite was gone. • Ashtrays outside are still full of ash from the day before in the morning. Just putting them in the dishwasher once would have been enough. Today, for the first time in a long time, everything was perfect – thanks to an experienced team leader from the regular staff, whom I saw here over 25 years ago. Everything was just right with him: fresh food, friendly service, top-notch quality. My impression: Without experienced permanent staff, the standard suffers significantly. I sincerely hope that you will return to the old quality that once distinguished the Messepark McDonald's.

Well, that was really the last time we were there. The fries were cold, and the air conditioning was really loud when it was 8 degrees outside. Hello Kitty/Turtles were displayed in the Happy Meal, and you could also choose them at the self-order counter, but they weren't available. It would have been nice to have them marked "temporarily out of stock." That's really unacceptable. We got the dressing at the beginning, but the salad didn't arrive until after everyone had finished eating.

I dont know who trains and manages these employees. It seems there are enough workers but productivity is pathetic. This is meant to be fast food, not 30 minutes for a cheeseburger. Last Saturday the entire restaurant was full of furious customers waiting for their food. I was afraid a riot will start. Maybe stop accepting new food orders until you figure out existing ones, and train your people. I go to London often and no matter how busy it it gets, orders are just flying out. I observed that the employee apparently didn't wash his hands and was also involved in preparing my order afterward. It's not for nothing that they cost €2, but they're really a great feature! This review doesn't refer to McDonald's as a whole, but to the restaurants in Trier operated by Getrey. Prices are significantly higher than in the surrounding area, but portions of the McFlurry, for example, are only half the size. Their latest stroke of genius: pre-filling drinks so they're served warm, stale, and in a soft paper cup. Things used to be better, and I hope things change.

A truly beautiful branch! Well-maintained green area outside the store and very friendly staff. What really impressed us, though, were the parking spaces outside, from which you can order! You can choose and order at your leisure using the app. We haven't tried it yet, but it's really great! The employee at the counter seemed very happy when I told him this is a really nice branch. We're from the Ruhr area ourselves, and unfortunately, it doesn't look like it there 😂 We can recommend it!

That's unacceptable for just one ice cream. McDonald's in America always has better service and the employees take more responsibility than here. And the food is even given out for free if they make a mistake. They should take a big example here, or the ice cream machines should be able to be operated by customers, then this kind of thing wouldn't happen. Very disappointed, especially as small children were looking forward to the ice cream and their enjoyment was dampened by the wait.

Great McDonald's! Our order was brought to our table quickly. One of the fries was cold, but after asking the staff, we received new, fresh, hot fries immediately and without any problems. They were also very friendly and helpful, despite our slight language barrier. The order was delivered complete, and everything tasted delicious. Extra points for the beautiful interior and the little flowers on the table, which made it feel extra welcoming. Lovely flowerbeds outside too. Overall, it looked very nice. 10/10 If we are ever in Trier again, we will definitely come back!

The renovation of McDonald's was worth it. The restaurant is in great condition. Unfortunately, the staff reflects the exact opposite. Completely overwhelmed employees, running around like locusts. I stood at the cash register for a quarter of an hour to pay for my order, which I placed at the terminal. During this time, I could observe the commotion in the kitchen. The employees are also anything but friendly with each other. Afterward, I had to wait a full 30 minutes for my order, which I ate in the restaurant. During the time I spent at the cash register, three other customers complained about the long wait times. It's a shame for such a great restaurant when the service is completely down.

So the renovation looks nice, BUT everything else has turned out really bad since. I've been there several times now and always had to wait awfully long, there was always something missing from our orders or something was wrong. Every time I go to complain I have to wait a really long time because the staff don't understand me and the completely overworked shift manager has to come to me and then does nothing because what I wanted is sold out, but I could select it from the machine because nobody had put it away. Why, because nobody can operate it, apparently not even the cash register, except for the shift manager. The carpentry shop can't read numbers and was on its own and therefore extremely slow. Every time something is sold out that you ordered, they just give you something else in the hope that you don't say anything so it goes quickly, but the quality goes down the drain. I always meet people at the cash register who also complain and everyone gets a different answer to the same question, which is not a sign of professionalism. It's a shame because the store has improved a lot on the outside and is clean.

During our visit after the renovations, we waited a really long time for our food. The order came at 6:42 PM and was delivered at 7:15 PM... And it was really, really cold (except for the fries). The employee who brought it was just as uninterested as the owner himself, whom I contacted by email afterward. There was never a response... I would definitely not visit Moselauen again.

This one with the brown hair has zero respect and talks to the customers like trash. The food is cold and the fries are hard or soggy and taste disgusting. They don't even give you napkins. Not recommended 🤢 And the workers have no patience either.

New shop, new team. Absolute disaster. Several visits after the renovation. Infinitely long waits. Waiting boards at the counter that are switched off. Almost, probably exclusively, Indian-speaking compatriots only hear the German numbers called out in a completely incomprehensible way. Which then again leads to confusion. I have only seen 1-2 members of the old team at most. Also had a cold burger, complained, was looked at in disbelief: yes, a new one is coming. Then they just leave someone standing. I went back, and the German shift manager said: what's wrong with it?...COLD. New burger, no apology, nothing. Today the McFlurry was half full. Definitely a much worse experience than before. As soon as there's even the slightest bit of activity, nothing works. I can therefore confirm the other reviews.

We had to wait a good 45 minutes for our food today, and that's just unacceptable at McDonald's. And then an elderly lady wanted to go to the bathroom, and since she wasn't very good at walking, she had to use her walker to get to the accessible bathroom, where she couldn't even close the door, and that's just unacceptable.

I love McDonald's and every country i go i find one but here in DE the service was very slow. I've experienced it several times now..whether it's for take out or dine in.. a lot of customers are complaining about it too. For an ice cream and shake, it took them 35min.. I wish they can set someone to do each section in the kitchen, fries section, dessert section, drink section, etc., so it will be more faster.. Mcdonalds is a fast food chain. Only here in DE i have experienced this slow pace.

Another complete disaster -,- We ordered two takeaway meals. After about 10 minutes, our order was ready, but they didn't give it to us. They took care of the two ladies first because there weren't anything wrong with their order either. At first, that was fine. This took 10 minutes, though. Then finally, we were called, took our order, opened the bag in the car, and immediately noticed that the fries were missing. I went in pretty annoyed. I got the fries without any ifs or buts, so far, so good. At home, however, I notice that the nuggets are also missing. In other words, half of one of the menu items had been forgotten, which I then complained about over the phone. They apologized and suggested a solution: "Next time you come, you'll get a free portion of nuggets." Hello, I paid for the nuggets, and you don't want to charge me for them next time as a gesture of goodwill. I was also told on the phone that this has been happening more often lately and that they would talk to their employees again. Then invest a little more money in decent staff if the current ones aren't working. Oh yeah, and the burger was cold after a 10-minute drive. Not lukewarm, COLD

We always eat at the restaurant. We think the renovation was a great success; so far, it's always been very clean. A definite improvement. Both during peak hours and in the morning. Keep it up! We usually only eat at breakfast. The coffee, in particular, is absolutely excellent value for money! The breakfast items were delicious and of good quality in every respect. 4/5 We have to offer some constructive criticism regarding the service: everyone has been very friendly so far – nothing wrong with that. However, we have now waited at least 20 minutes for our ordered items three times in a row. Once, there was absolutely no business; today, very little. The last time, we even had to ask twice, but it still took almost 30 minutes. The apology was friendly and sincere; appreciated. But still, these aren't the usual times you're used to at a McDonald's. 2/5 We'll definitely come back and see if things have improved. Then we'll definitely enjoy going more often. Overall: 3/5

Even one star is too much. The cashier barely paid attention and had to ask three times whether I wanted the food to go or to eat in. We only ordered two cheeseburgers and one long chicken nugget burger. Unfortunately, we had to catch our train and didn't check the bag. On the train, we then noticed that we had been given three cents less in change and only one cheeseburger instead of two. Absolutely outrageous.

Absolutely absurd! I'm speechless. I ordered fries kebab style and got diarrhea as a takeaway. On top of that, the employee accused me of using a counterfeit 50 euro note.

This Burger King branch, or rather its kitchen staff, almost always ignores the special request to make the burger *without* a tomato slice. In contrast, the staff at the counter and the drive-thru are always very friendly and attentive, and you can always rely on their good recommendations. What's also becoming increasingly noticeable is the steadily declining cleanliness of the restaurant. I don't want to speculate about the reasons for this, but other branches further away (Kaiserslautern, Frankfurt, Dieburg, Hamburg, Aachen, Cologne, etc.) are significantly better in this regard.

This was a terrible mistake. Almost an hour wait for food and when it came it was cold. When this was pointed out to staff it seems to be an inconvenience to them to have to serve warm food. The lady manager seemed more interested in texting on her phone than making her business run smoothly. If overwhelmed why not prevent new customers until you clear the back log. Hlad I will never have to return here but it has damaged the brand in my eyes.
