I was there yesterday, and for me personally, they were by far the worst fries I've ever eaten. For that price, I expect fresh fries. They apparently don't even bother with salting or frying twice. It was disappointing for me, and I won't be coming back. The reviews I've just read speak for themselves. A 2.5 rating is, in my opinion, too high after what I ate there yesterday. Especially charging over €7 for a large portion, plus the fact that it's just frozen. Even at Globus, you pay €2.90 for a portion, and they're significantly better.

The wrong order was delivered and they couldn't replace it. We paid twice.

Absolutely disgusting! Ordered burgers and fries and got a nasty treat. You should get dry Petty on the fries. And pay 6.50 for it. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

There are several chip shops in Trier nearby. This one, right on the main market square, is very good. The oil has been fresh for years, and the potatoes, locally sourced, are excellent and delicious. The prices are reasonable for such a prime location. I rarely come to Trier without enjoying a meal here. I definitely recommend it.

NEVER EAT FRIES SUCH AWESOME! I was here on a school camp and every day with my friends, I got a "medium" (XXL would be better) fries. The price is perfect for the portions, and you could also request the sauces on a small extra paper plate, which was perfect since everyone in our group of friends has different tastes when it comes to sauces.

The fries were delicious. However, the price of ketchup at €0.70 is way too high. Sauces should be included in the price and not cost extra.

Great food, excelent price! One Frikadelle for €3,00 and one Bratwurst for €2,90. If you ever go to Trier and want some cheap streetfood, eat here.

We had a special fries and a medium fries with sour cream today. In both cases, the fries were either over-fried or cooked longer; in any case, they were too firm and nothing special. The sour cream was more like something straight from the can onto the fries, not from "cream." Not enough sauce and onions on the special. Lots of staff, but none of them were wearing gloves, and still had their hands on their faces. The sausage slicer wasn't clean, even though there weren't any customers at the time, so it was already old. Conclusion: It wasn't worth it.

We got a medium fries for €3.80. The ketchup costs another 70 cents extra. The fries were okay, but nothing really special. The price for the portion itself was still good, but the price for the ketchup was a bit much. The sellers weren't particularly motivated now. Overall it wasn't anything special, there are certainly better alternatives.

Very small portion of curry fries that didn't even taste good, nor did the meatball. Unfriendly seller, poor hygiene and expensive prices justify the bad rating. Not happy again!

Bought fries with ketchup today. Were not enjoyable. Old, hard, probably fried and kept hot for a while. Because of the ketchup on the fries in a thin bag, everything was not only of poor quality but also unappetizing. Everything ended up in the trash. Although there was a lot going on in the pedestrian zone, there were no customers at the stall. I should have interpreted the omen correctly and left it alone. So not recommended.

To start positively, it was warm and the mustard was in a good quantity. All 4 of us didn't get to half of the bratwurst sandwiches. The bread was already several days old and falling apart from dryness. The sausage was tasteless. Fortunately, we were able to make the dog happy with a sausage. And the rest went into the trash.

Advertises “French fries made from fresh potatoes” and raises the prices for them. You get frozen fries that aren't even of good quality. Really bad.

Not even worth a star...were there again yesterday after years, just the sight of the store was simply disgusting, but we had already ordered the food before we took a closer look around. I got the fries with chili con carne, what I got looked like anything but not chili con carne, and some of the crumbly minced meat was still raw 🤢 That was definitely the last visit to the Patat House, it's a shame that nothing there is the same as it was a few years ago

I got a bacterial infection from the french fries fungi sauce and was in bed with a fever for a week!! I'll never go there again!

The star isn't even worth it. Prices definitely not justified. Special fries, half raw, onion much too big. Meatball inedible. After a few bites, it's better to throw everything away, which we never actually do. However, we still had gastrointestinal problems. Never again..

Ordered bratwurst. I threw it away after one bite. Shell was so hard it was almost impossible to chew through. And when you ate it, you just chewed on the peel. Roll was crispy and the mustard worked! Sorry, never again!!!

When I came to Trier, it was a MUST for me to eat fries with mayonnaise. Unfortunately, after Corona, things no longer went uphill but rather steeply down the mountain. I don't know whether there was a change in operator there. Anyway, I bought the last portion there last week. The staff was terribly friendly, the fries were a huge disaster (soggy cold) and the prices were out of this world at €6.60 for large fries with mayonnaise. When I asked when the price had risen again, the answer was "We live in Germany, everything is getting more expensive there." He's right, but I can't find my way around his Germany, even though I've lived here for 58 years. So a clear decision to never buy anything here again.

Mediocre fries, inconvenient packaging, barely salted

Really bad food! The other negative reviews are justified. Weak old fries that had probably been in the bowl for a quarter of an hour, watery curry sauce and the sausage was probably the cheapest they could find. Then they wanted to cheat me out of 5 cents in change. Not much, but it's just a matter of principle! Just keep your hands off it!

Pommes viel zu trocken, ungenießbar

Die Bratwurst im Brötchen war leider nicht gut, die Wurst war eher kalt und geschmacklich nicht der Hit, da sollte man sich was hochwertigeres an Produkt kaufen. Die Pommes mit Käse/Speck Sauce waren dafür echt lecker. Die Sauce war gut und die Pommes lecker! Die Portionsgröße ist ok für den Preis. Also Finger weg von der Wurst und lieber lecker Pommes essen.🙌

Nicht das was es mal war: Fritten versalzen, ein viel zu großer Berg Ajolisoße auf den Fritten, der mir nach 50 Metern vor die Füße klatscht. (Mal ganz abgesehen von dem Mitarbeiter hinter der Theke, der dreinstarrt als wollte er einen gleich angreifen.)

Non si poteva pagare con carta, e nessuno parla un minimo di inglese. Le patatine erano salatissime, tanto che non sono riuscito a finirle. Il wurtel era anche buono ma il pane troppo duro. Non lo consiglio

Pommes wurden mit ordentlich viel Mayo Neese serviert und waren Ruck zuck da. Wenns schnell gehen muss perfekt!

Die etwas andere Pommesbude. Pommes mit Chili con Carne. Oder Pommes mit Hähnchen in Currysauce. Oder andere Spezialitäten. Leider muss man diese Preise extra erfragen. Man kann aber auch normale Pommes und Currywurst haben. Leider waren unsere Pommes nicht knusprig. Die hätten noch ein bisschen krosser sein dürfen. Ansonsten sehr lecker. Fazit: wer mal was anderes schmecken will, ist hier richtig. Vielleicht sagen, dass die Pommes schön kross sein sollen.

Ziemlich teure Pommes, sie waren auch leider kaum gesalzen und dadurch das die Soße oben drauf kommt verschmiert leider alles, als snack für auf die Hand im gehen also ungeeignet

Ich habe mich so auf die Curry Bratwurst gefreut und letztendlich hat sie nach Gummi Schuhsohle geschmeckt. Nicht durch gebraten und ich hatte nicht das Gefühl eine Bratwurst zu essen. Trotzdem waren die Pommes und Curry Soße wohl schmeckend.

Tolle Lage, aber Preise o.k. Bratwurst im Brötchen 2 €. Allerdings fehlt der Bratwurst, auch das "Brat". Ne Bratwurst muss auch gut angebraten sein. Die Pommes an sich schmecken und kosten klein 2,40 €. Unser Fehler war, dazu noch für 0,60 € Mayonaise zu nehmen. Da Pommes in einer Papiertüte waren und oben drauf die Mayo drauf klebte, war es nicht wirklich zu essen. Da passt dann auch der Preis gar nicht. Also wenn, dann nur Pommes, ohne was drauf.

Beste Pommes in Deutschland und super nette Bedienung trotz 30 Grad Aussentemperatur. Ich will mir nicht vorstellen, welche Temperatur bei den Friteusen herrscht. Tolle Leistung und alles nur, damit wir zu einem kleinen hervorragenden Imbiss kommen. Auch die Verpackung und die Holzgabel darf nicht unerwähnt bleiben.

War am Sonntag den 26.05.2019 dort und regelrecht geschockt wie der Laden aussieht. Es ist nahezu alles extrem versifft. Der Kunde bekommt regelrecht schon bei der Bestellung ( wenn es denn soweit kommt ) die Kriese. Es ist von dem Inventar nichts zu erkennen was sauber ist. Es fängt schon bei der Kasse an. Mit Fett überzogen, einfach nur ekelig. Die Bedienungen waren ebenfalls sehr ungepflegt und trugen schmutzige Kleidung. Hier muss dringend was passieren. Vor einiger Zeit war der Laden noch Tip Top. Aber jetzt??? Katastrophe. Hat Evtl der Besitzer gewechselt???
