McDonald's in Karlsruhe

Yeah, that was probably nothing today. I ordered a large fries. I also got a large package, but it was nowhere near full. It's not like this was the first time I've ordered large fries. McDonald's, my favorite burger, was disastrous. There was very little lettuce. I'm sure the recipe has changed. But there wasn't a single leaf on the burger, it was all lying next to it. Everything! And the burger was extremely dry. No wonder, there were only a few drops of the otherwise really delicious dressing on the burger, if at all. New recipe here too? If so, then I won't be seeing McDonald's again. It was quite busy today, maybe that's because of the situation. But it was pretty clean and the service was okay. A lady held the door open and greeted and said goodbye, great! But the waitress who did table service totally radiated "not in the mood." Okay, maybe it was a stressful day or she was annoyed by the customers since, as mentioned, it was very busy. Everything was human and bearable. However, the quality of the fries and especially the McDonald's chicken was a disaster.

How can anyone not be ashamed of running a McDonald's like this? We go to the terminal. A large vanilla milkshake with a disposable cup is supposedly unavailable. Okay. We order a McSundae and a chocolate iced coffee, as well as three burgers and a side of fries. Aside from the fact that the fries tasted like they were yesterday, which is something that's common at many branches. Then an employee came over and told us, quite rudely, that the chocolate sauce was all gone. We could use caramel for the ice cream and no sauce at all for the iced coffee. Okay, it CAN happen. About 30 seconds later, our order arrived. My iced coffee didn't have any coffee in it!??? And it was a vanilla milkshake, in a disposable cup, which supposedly wasn't there before????? I don't understand how they manage to make an iced coffee without coffee. Truly the worst McDonald's. The only reason to work there is because you can apparently just stand around, like 80% of the employees. I have NOTHING positive to say about this branch, and we will definitely NOT be back!!

Well, the food was cold, despite the fact that there was a lot of food there. Half of the Big Tasty Bacon was carelessly slammed into the box and lay spread out in the box. Staff nice and on the ball. Unfortunately the poor woman had to serve ALL the table service guests. Impossible because more staff should be saved at the wrong end. I won't go there anymore.

The shop is by far the shabbiest. It's a branch at a train station, and with so many customers, so many staff are saved that the audacity can no longer be surpassed. People sometimes wait 30 minutes or longer for their apple turnover or something else. 8 employees where 20 would be appropriate. People leave their orders behind because they rush to the train at the last moment because the employees don't keep up. There is no blame to be placed on the employees. The manager alone is the person who is responsible for this.

There's not even a toalete on site. You can't even wash your hands before eating. I am very disappointed.

I was hungry on Saturday night and since everything was already closed I thought I'd go to McDonalds. It would have been better if I hadn't done that. I ordered a Big Tasty Bacon with Jalapenos for 7.99. The thing wasn't worth 2 euros. Minced meat burnt on the edge, still slightly pink on the inside. Plus it was only warmed up and was lukewarm. Lettuce had wilted leaves, onions tasted like nothing. Sauce so-so. I don't know any spiciness from a competitor. The only thing that tasted good was the bacon. I'm really disappointed and don't understand why people voluntarily eat something like that.

Not a single napkin received and visible within a 10 km radius. With the burgers and fries you eat with your hands. Welcome to Germany 2025. Comfort at the highest level. 200 years of development for free :) Food ok.

Had to kill 3 hours there until my next bus. I ordered a coffee and breakfast, and they did not mind me staying for a while. 3h free Wi-Fi, possible to charge your devices. The Temple of the Güldenen Arches in Karlsruhe main station offers enough space for lunging. You can have breakfast or feast on the other products, yes, exactly. I've been to McDonald's in various countries, Germany, China, Hungary, France, the Netherlands, etc., but this is really the worst. Employees have bad attitudes and disappearing orders happen. If you want to have a quick cappuccino, you definitely shouldn't go there! Waiting 25 minutes for the coffee to flow into the cup in the kitchen and the milk foam (if you want to call it that) to be added elsewhere is not possible. They are definitely slow during peaks but they do try a lot to keep such a big store clean with constant foot traffic. Would definitely estimate an extra 15 mins for a takeaway order unless it's a dead time. They don't have working toilets. The seating options are decent. Inside the station superstructure. Don't need to wander out into the element if you're trying to find a cheap fix. Loads of other options if quality and health are on your mind.

Food OK. the store itself is an imposition. Even if Mc. Donalds has given up in Germany, a minimum standard would be desirable. The store is not cleaned.

A real shirthole!! The friendliness leaves a lot to be desired and there are no toilets on site. What is much worse is that there are more homeless people there. Which isn't a bad thing at first, everyone needs warmth, especially in winter. If they then take off their shoes and smell everything, then it's too much. I'm there often and see this often. Every now and then the police intervene. It's not nice when your meal is spoiled by a pungent smell.

Stopped by this morning for a snack and coffee. There were up to 10 visitors in the entire establishment. Having placed the order, I went to the cashier with the receipt to pay in cash, the payment was 12.32 euros. The cashier (she also collects orders, makes coffee, issues orders) seeing my money, and this is a 10 euro bill, 1 euro coin, 50 cents × 2 pcs., 10 cents, 5 cents, the rest are 2 and 1 cent, asks me strange question: “Where did you come from? From Ukraine? All Ukrainians only give coins...” I didn’t even know how to respond to such rudeness, but I just smiled sweetly at her. Next was the wait for our order, which was chaotic, our coffee had already been ready for about 6 minutes, and the roll and burger had not yet begun to cook. By the way! In the kitchen, everyone worked without gloves; they handled absolutely everything with their bare hands. And the icing on the cake was the “spectacle” when one of the employees, wearing shoes, climbed onto the table to wipe the lampshades. So, we had cold coffee and a completely tasteless breakfast. The child ordered a muffin and cheesecake separately from us. They gave out what they had leftovers in stock: a weathered cheesecake and a muffin “As it is!” Don't set foot there again.

On the train ride home I still had an hour to spare and wanted to grab something quick to eat at McDonald's Karlsruhe Hbf. The checkout was actually very busy and I had already prepared my order via the app. The ordering process went accordingly quickly. I sat at a table with my number and waited for my order. At this point I still had about 50 minutes until my train. After 20 minutes of waiting, I started to get a little restless. After another 10 minutes I went to the pickup counter and asked for my order. This was still not being processed. I then asked the employee to get my order ready for take away as I have to get to the train. He took my receipt and promised to get the order ready straight away. After another 10 minutes still no response. I spoke to the employee again and asked for my order. Only then did he start processing my order, which didn't even take a minute. I packed everything and made it to the train almost at the last second. On the train I discovered that instead of a double royal cheese there was a chicken burger, no ketchup for the fries, Diet Coke with ice instead of without ice, and no napkins at all. Thank you McDonald's.

Vegetarian nuggets ordered and received with a green dot. In the box were the chicken nuggets with meat in them. Unfortunately we had already eaten it before we noticed it. Meat lover or not - anyone who sells vegetarian food must also deliver vegetarian food, everything else is just disgusting.

By far, the worst McDonald’s experience I’ve ever had. Ordered the Royale (quarter pounder) or whatever it’s called, and a McPlant with fries and a drink. They completely forgot to put the quarter pounder in there, which I did not realize until I got to the train, then I opened my McPlant and it looked like someone aggressively squirted the condiment bottles on top of it… also, the fries were unbearably salty.
