McDonald's in Karlsruhe

(Our visit was on a Tuesday around 2-3 p.m.) A pleasant McDonald's, significantly better than some at other stations. The luggage storage area by the window is particularly convenient for travelers. From ordering to delivery to the table took less than a few minutes. However, the McDonald's was rather moderately busy. I can't comment on peak hours.

Worst McDonald's – and has been for years. Always cold burgers, cold fries, unhygienic. The employees seem completely unprofessional. Years ago, after the umpteenth time I had a cold burger, I swore I wouldn't eat there again. Today, after at least three years, I gave it another chance – and of course, I wasn't disappointed: Everything was cold again, and the fries were soggy. This time for good: Never again!

I left immediately! Vending machines only!

Air conditioning broken or not switched on at temperatures of 35 degrees that is not possible, the shop is very dirty

They gave me €5 less than the change and insisted on giving me the correct amount.

I understand that quality can sometimes suffer when the place is busy. But here it was barely busy, and yet the food was served as if it were destined for a pigsty. Everything was simply thrown carelessly into the box, with absolutely no respect for the customer. The sight alone was unpleasant, let alone the food. If that's your standard, then it's truly appalling.

Very tasty, large portions, and reasonably priced—compared to many other McDonald's, where the food is more expensive and the size, quality, and taste are disappointing. The order numbers are announced very clearly.

During my visit to this McDonald's, I was waiting in line to order. When the ordering machine in front of me became available, an employee brought other customers forward and let them order before me. After doing so, the employee made a dismissive gesture and twisted his mouth, which I found extremely rude. This behavior made me feel unwelcome. I sincerely hope that management will review this incident, as such behavior can be perceived as discriminatory.

I waited almost 30 minutes there, even though I had ordered 15 minutes in advance. They also forgot my shaker fries, which I unfortunately first noticed on the train. They also added the wrong sauces.

No toilet available! Only available at sanifair, and you can't even wash your hands.

The food was bland and looked like it was from yesterday. The services are unbearable. Everyone talks to you as if you are the one who is wrong. I do not recommend it at all. You have to wait a lot even though there is not much people. 👎👎

Hygiene standards are not maintained

Very dirty, rude waiters, gave me a torn 5€, asked to replace and... I was refused. The food was absolutely not tasty and dry and there were very few potatoes. They didn't pour half of it for us. It seemed like they had it lying around for a long time. No toilet, nowhere to wash your hands

This was a first time visiting McDonald’s in Germany and I did not know that they make shake with ice inside ???!!!! I have never had something like that in my life anywhere else in the world?! Why would you put ice in the shake ?! This is something I still can’t figure it out. The service was ok . Not the cleanest place but definitely ok . My kids got McFlurry and was pretty good. But we got 3 different shakes and very disappointing with taste and texture. One of the worst ever shake for sure . Hope they learn how to make shakes . All the texture should be mixed and blended together!!! Not partial. Whenever. Just a hint so that know how to do the things right next time !

I ordered the McPlant Nuggets, but I received a mixed box—with both regular nuggets and McPlant Nuggets (see picture). I'm not vegetarian, so it's not a problem for me personally. However, something like this is completely unacceptable these days—especially given previous food scandals. I sincerely hope this was just a one-off. There were three nuggets with meat, and the rest were McPlant Nuggets.

The worst fries north of the equator!!!

After ordering, the customer is denied access to the restroom. They are directed to the train station restroom. There, despite a receipt from McDonald's, they are denied access to the free restroom. In Germany, restaurants are required to provide a restroom. Where is the rule of law????

Oh my God, they're awful! I waited 20 minutes for a McFlurry ice cream. It was total chaos, right at the train station. Who runs this place so poorly, my goodness! Behind me and with me were at least 20 completely annoyed people waiting forever for their order – UNBELIEVABLE! Just close the place down, this is unacceptable! When I finally got my ice cream, it had obviously been sitting there for ages and was half-liquid – for goodness' sake! It was thrown straight into the nearest bin. 🤮

Do you realize people are spending money here? The wait time is 35 minutes, like at a Michelin-starred restaurant. The fries are stale and the sandwich is cold. Someone should take care of that. Respect your customers!!! You have to make a sandwich with three ingredients, dip the frozen fries in oil, and serve it relatively warm and edible!!! There are no hot dishes here.

Actually, it doesn't deserve a star at all... Ordered two coffees. One was already lukewarm because it took forever to make the second one, and the one with a meat side dish had at least two wasps in it. I also swallowed one, luckily it was already dead. The coffee was undrinkable and I immediately threw it away... €6 for nothing!

Top-notch service, super-friendly staff, and standard McDonald's food. An absolute lifesaver during extended train station stops.

A relatively fast McDonald's. Unfortunately, the employees aren't motivated, so they have a dreary vibe. Otherwise, I waited about 10 minutes for my order after ordering, and it was pretty busy. The employee initially wanted to give me a McFlurry instead of my milkshake. I think he was very new, but he immediately corrected it when I told him otherwise. Everything was fresh. Just a slightly poorly made Double Big Mac. But I'm satisfied :) If you want something quick to eat, I can recommend this place. It worked well.

On multiple occasions over the past year that I used this venue, there was a problem every time. I usually had to wait too long or did not even get the order. I also used delivery services and this venue mixed up 3 orders out of 5. This hasn't happened with other McDonald's in the city. If they weren't in a busy area like the train station, they'd have been out of business long ago.

There weren't many people there in the morning. I enjoyed the breakfast.

Service OK, food as always at MCD

Garbage service!!! Unfortunately, I didn't have time to check my order when I picked it up. I ordered a Big Tasty Bacon without bacon, but that's exactly what I didn't get – instead, the burger came with bacon as usual. Thanks for nothing.

Never experienced a slower or more inefficient McDonald's, and that's a really low bar.

Some of the McDonald's garbage is being dumped in the surrounding residential streets. The operator urgently needs to address this effectively, e.g., by introducing deposits, reusable food containers, a collection service, and/or educating burger lovers. Thank you. Otherwise, the city administration should take action.

Because the employees simply "pushed" orders through the system without delivering them, my order never arrived. After waiting 20 minutes (for a coffee!!!), I left without my order so as not to miss my train.

Oh wow! Worst McD I have visited in a long time. Poor service not going beyond shouting order numbers. And if you think you can screw up frying McD fries.... yes they can do it here. Mix.of white underfried and brown fried few times. And that was after I asked for exchange.... :).No toilet avaliable on site!!! They send you to train station. Honestly disaster. Avoid, unless you are dying from hunger. To the owner of this franchise. Get to work man. Loads to do.

Very long waiting time with a small number of people

I waited over 30 minutes, even though the employees were casually walking back and forth. After I asked if they could pack my order since I had to leave to catch my train, I received a lot of nasty looks, and one employee called me a "scharmata" or joke. Absolutely rude. To clarify: I really just asked if I could have it packed... politely...

We went around 8 p.m., nothing unusual. Everything went very quickly, but everything was cold, the fries were the worst I've ever had at McDonald's, the burgers were terrible, they gave us stomach ache, and the bun was stale. The burger buns were stained with sauce, and the burgers were tough. IT WAS INEDIBLE.

Everytime I visit a McDonalds out of hunger, I think to myself, "never again". We ordered a BigMac Meal, a mango chicken wrap and chicken wings. We ordered take away and didn't open the bag until we were home, only to see that there was no appetizer to the meal. We selected curly fries. Not even the normal ones were there. As for the food, it's just a bunch of salad sitting under a burger patty or chicken piece, every element is completely unseasoned. I get that the price is low and this is "fast food", but they could definitely do a little more, since this is not even the bare minimum and it's not like they are offering food for free. You see how disrespectful they are just by looking at what they serve you and the way they do it. Animals are fed better, honestly.

This is really the worst McDonald's, the service staff has a bad attitude, and I waited for 20 minutes for the food ==, were they still peeling the potatoes?

The McDonald's is located right inside the main train station and is accordingly busy. I had to wait about 3-5 minutes for the McFlurry I ordered via the app – so far, so good. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to wash my hands because there are no restrooms in this McDonald's?! I'm supposed to just trudge to the Sanifair restroom on the other side of the station and leave some money there. How can that be legal? This is a restaurant. Isn't there a restroom requirement here?

This was by far my worst experience at McDonald's. We ordered and it was already quite busy. The display didn't show which number was ready. I then waited over an hour until our meal for two people (Happy Meal and McFlurry) was ready. They forgot the toy in the Happy Meal! This was really difficult for my daughter; I couldn't explain it to her. She was already exhausted from waiting for an hour (parents know this is a big problem in the evenings). And they had the wrong sauce. Absolutely bottomless. The food had been sitting there for so long that it was completely cold. Our Sprite was warm. A silly joke…

I would like to comment on my visit to your pickup area today. Unfortunately, I was treated extremely rudely by one of your employees. She was neither helpful nor willing to address my concerns, which was very disappointing. At the same time, however, I would like to sincerely thank the young woman who was busy preparing the drinks at the time. She noticed the situation and helped me in a friendly and professional manner – I really appreciate that. Despite the eventual assistance, the behavior of the first employee was unacceptable and does not correspond to the level of service I expect from your establishment. I hope this incident will be addressed internally to avoid future unpleasant experiences for other customers.

Completely overwhelmed with everything…

If you like being fooled... Train journey from Berlin to Freiburg. That same afternoon, I had freshly squeezed 0.3-liter orange juice for €4.50 at a good street restaurant in Berlin Mitte. Then I got stuck in Karlsruhe that evening. Only McDonald's was open. A crappy 0.25-liter orange juice from a plastic bottle for €3.14. No atmosphere, no service, queuing to pay and order. Loud, annoying music. Tables dirty, not wiped, burn holes in the benches, etc., etc. The kitchen doesn't look clean either, from what I can see. I don't understand why so many people let themselves be fooled by such trash. I actually wanted to give it a second star for the opening hours. But as I discovered, there are actually no (!!!) restrooms. This contradicts the law, which requires larger restaurants to provide restrooms that must be free for guests to use. So the Sanifair toilets at the train station are NOT a valid replacement. This should be reported.

This was simply DISGUSTING!!! I stopped by the McDonald's at Karlsruhe Central Station to grab a quick bite between trains – I only had 23 minutes until my next train. After placing my order, I had to wait an unbelievable 15 minutes, without any explanation or apology. When I finally went to the cashier and asked why it was taking so long, I explained that I really didn't have much time. Instead of a reasonable answer, however, I received a SHOCKING response: I was ordered to move FAR AWAY FROM THE CASHIER so the employees could work undisturbed. Outraged, I immediately demanded my refund. Instead of a solution, I was met with extreme GROSS RUDENESS – I was ordered to shut up while simultaneously insisting that I be patient or leave the restaurant. An administrator intervened and promised I'd only have to wait one more minute – but that "minute" stretched to seven minutes, so I ended up waiting a total of 22 minutes for my small order, causing me to miss my train. When I finally reached the platform, desperate to get my order, I was horrified to discover that I was NOT served the burger I had ordered – I was given the wrong burger. Furthermore, the entire meal was cold and tasted absolutely DISGUSTING; I'm almost certain it was intentionally prepared that way to further express my displeasure. For anyone who wants to retrace the steps: I placed my order on May 31, 2025, at 7:47:52 PM, using queue number 147, and the receipt was taken from me by the administrator and never returned. Overall, this was the worst McDonald's I've experienced in over 20 countries – THE WORST OF ALL!!! A place you should not enter under any circumstances. DISGUSTING!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

After a whole day on the road, we went to McDonald's at Karlsruhe Central Station with the family. We were very upset that the restrooms at the branch haven't been working for over two months for various reasons. This means you can't even wash your hands! To eat with clean hands, you have to go to the other end of the main station and pay €1 just to wash your hands. The order was delivered relatively quickly, but the burgers were poorly prepared and the fries were pale and not crispy.

Worst McDonald's ever. I ordered a veggie McPlant product and just got a cheeseburger. How cheeky can you be? Don't put pork on it, Muslims. Shame on yourselves!

In terms of experience, it's better than the McDonald's at Marktplatz. You won't get ripped off here if you need to go to the bathroom, because thanks to a cartel with Sani-"fair," there are no restrooms for customers. It's busy because of the location, but the staff generally handles it well. I hate McDonald's and capitalism.

The buy 1 take 1 capuccino deal is a scam. You just get two half-filled cups. There is always this urine-smelly guy loitering maybe since there is no toilet. But given the other choices at the station, can't complain really.

Yesterday I went to McDonald's at Karlsruhe Central Station for the first time. Unfortunately, there were some problems with our order. We had ordered two Sausage & Egg McMuffins and two Fresh Chicken McMuffins, but instead received four regular McMuffins. The employee who informed us of the error, that they were out of sausage & egg, offered us chicken or cheeseburger as an alternative, which my boyfriend then took (probably why we ordered four fresh chicken McMuffins). When I pointed out that we had been given the wrong Coke glasses and asked if they had any purple ones (as ordered), I received a curt "I don't know." I found that very unprofessional. Also, my latte was missing the sugar I ordered, which I had to get myself (you could select the amount of sugar you wanted at the terminal). When I went to the cashier to clarify the error with the order and payment, the employee agreed to refund me the difference of €0.80. However, I had to wait for another customer to pay in cash so she could give me the money. I found that a bit annoying, as I'd already had to wait long enough due to her mistake. Overall, the service was rather poor, but the lady at the cashier was very friendly and courteous. I would recommend that McDonald's provide its employees with more training on customer service. Nevertheless, I'm giving it 2 out of 5 stars, since at least the cashier was very nice.

The room is very small, very dirty, there is no toilet to wash hands. We waited a long time for our order. I do not recommend visiting.

McCafe extremely unhygienic, didn't drink my cappuccino. Employees all seem to have no sense of hygiene. Milk was frothed in a dirty container. After foaming, the pipe was wiped with a dirty sponge cloth. The coffee attachment was only emptied for my coffee and not thoroughly. After my coffee ran through, it was simply left without emptying. Machine and worktop were dirty and overall perceived to be unhygienic

The conditions at the checkout offended me for no reason, if you have the opportunity to go to another McDonald's then go somewhere else. Service at the bottom drawer! impudence

Delicious Tm menu. Clean, friendly and attentive. The three employees who distributed the food today and stood at the door were very nice and quick... My table was also wiped clean. Afterwards I got a bag with extra wipes for the food that was left. Bravo, that means services :-).

Yesterday I waited 30 minutes for my food even though the kitchen was full of people. The two who packed the trays/bags at the front are absolute sleepyheads who do their work at a snail's pace and can't even update the number board, so someone else had to come in to push through the numbers until they were up to date. The meat in the burgers is so dry that after just two bites you'll feel thirsty as if you've just crossed the Sahara and of course there are no milkshakes! What's the point of advertising the great promotional milkshakes if there are no milkshakes all year round anyway?! And this is a training shop! They should learn the entire program or not!? And not like you skip the milkshake machine out of laziness! There are enough people there to clean the machine regularly!

Oh well I think it's a shame that everything is so expensive and that children are not allowed to have fries and fries rings in the children's menu. The food was actually better. I, Mr. Donald, who invented this, would be spinning in his grave if he knew what was happening.

I didn't get to meet Mr. Gashi (employee) as a "branch manager" and I lost my appetite. A low earner asked me for money just before I wanted to give him something. The Gashi came from the corner and said get out in a rude tone. If we don't help each other who will help us then it's a restaurant, everyone has to be welcome and not treated like that. For me it was with McDonald's where I said I would comment on it and he didn't care at all and threw up early in the morning I like people like Mr. Gashi himself, the police were nice and polite, giving away toys is not done at McDonald's Karlsruhe main station team but they really don't care because more and more people are walking in. It's a shame

I took my kid to McDonald's to buy a Minecraft toy and they picked up some food. The toy was different. A kind of dinosaur. How is it possible to deceive children like this? I don't recommend going there. You are deceiving them.

Underground waiting time for 10 p.m....

I've never had such attentive staff at a McDonald's. The restaurant is clean, even though it's right in the train station, the food was delicious, warm, fresh and ready quickly.

I've never met such a lousy McDonald's. At least not until today. No sprites. Salad can be ordered but is not available and is randomly replaced with fries. The fries were also flabby like cooked spaghetti. Unfriendly and annoyed employees. About 40 minutes. Waiting time. Toilets locked. But at least clean tables. I know that much better.

Yeah, that was probably nothing today. Fries were ordered large. I also received large packaging, but it was far from full. It's not like I ordered the large fries for the first time. Mc Chicken, my favorite burger at McDonalds, was disastrous. The salad was very little. Can be sure that the recipe has been changed. But there wasn't a single leaf on the burger, everything was lying next to it. Everything! And the burger was extremely dry. No wonder, there were only a few drops of the otherwise really tasty dressing on the burger. New recipe here too? If so, then McDonalds won't see me again. It was quite crowded today, maybe that's due to that. It was quite clean and the service was okay. A lady held the door open and greeted and said goodbye, great! But the waitress who did the table service totally exuded “No desire”. Okay, maybe a busy day or annoyed by the guests because, as mentioned, it was very crowded. Everything humane and manageable. The quality of the fries and especially the Mc Chicken was a disaster

How can you not be ashamed of running a McDonald's like that? Go to the terminal. Large vanilla milkshake with disposable cups apparently not available. OK. Order a McSundae & a Chocolate Iced Coffee, as well as 3 burgers and a fries. Apart from the fact that the fries tasted like they were yesterday, that's something that is the case at many branches. Then an employee came and told us in a very unfriendly manner that we were out of chocolate sauce. You could use caramel for the ice cream & for the iced coffee you can just use no sauce at all. Okay, it CAN happen. About 30 seconds later our order came. My iced coffee had no coffee!??? And was a vanilla milkshake in a disposable cup, which supposedly wasn't there before????? I don't understand how you can make an iced coffee without coffee. Truly the worst McDonald's. The only reason to work there is that you can obviously just stand there like 80% of the employees. I have NOTHING positive to say about this branch and we will definitely NOT be coming back!!

Mc do benefiting from a privileged location with a lot of flow of travelers. Order dated March 16, 2025 Order 228 to take away before 9 p.m. at the terminal. More than 45 minutes to be served. Force to ask what’s going on. Cock moment. Well, the food was cold, despite the fact that there was a lot of food there. Half of the Big Tasty Bacon was carelessly slammed into the box and lay spread out in the box. Staff nice and on the ball. Unfortunately the poor woman had to serve ALL the table service guests. Impossible because more staff should be saved at the wrong end. I won't go there anymore.

just terrible. doesn't even deserve a star. The store was relatively empty so check out the ordering area. which is why it didn't have to take so long. I had to wait half an hour for just one mcflurry because people couldn't get it together to tell me that a sauce was missing. This sauce was given out several times in orders that came after me. Then they took my order down and I didn't get any mcflurry. My friend had to wait 30 minutes for his menu, which was ready on the counter the whole time but the waitress couldn't manage to take it and bring it to his table. you couldn't even pick it up yourself. She simply manufactured some rubbish in the market and so all our food got cold. This happened not only with us but also around us. I will never come here again.

If I could give this place zero stars then I would. We waited ages for our food while our food sat on the counter the whole time getting cold, but of course we had to wait until it came to us COLD. This is by far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The staff is absolutely overwhelmed and incompetent, which is why an order that is so simple takes forever. I waited 45 minutes for a Mc Flurry and therefore missed my train. That's not okay, especially a McDonald's at a train station where you want to have a quick bite to eat or whatever should be efficient! The staff is also unfriendly and I had to complain before my order was taken again. If I could, I would give this McDonald's 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible.

Short waiting time. Crazy service

The shop is by far the shabbiest. It's a branch at a train station, and with so many customers, so many staff are saved that the audacity can no longer be surpassed. People sometimes wait 30 minutes or longer for their apple turnover or something else. 8 employees where 20 would be appropriate. People leave their orders behind because they rush to the train at the last moment because the employees don't keep up. There is no blame to be placed on the employees. The manager alone is the person who is responsible for this.

There's not even a toalete on site. You can't even wash your hands before eating. I am very disappointed.

I was hungry on Saturday night and since everything was already closed I thought I'd go to McDonalds. It would have been better if I hadn't done that. I ordered a Big Tasty Bacon with Jalapenos for 7.99. The thing wasn't worth 2 euros. Minced meat burnt on the edge, still slightly pink on the inside. Plus it was only warmed up and was lukewarm. Lettuce had wilted leaves, onions tasted like nothing. Sauce so-so. I don't know any spiciness from a competitor. The only thing that tasted good was the bacon. I'm really disappointed and don't understand why people voluntarily eat something like that.

Not a single napkin received and visible within a 10 km radius. With the burgers and fries you eat with your hands. Welcome to Germany 2025. Comfort at the highest level. 200 years of development for free :) Food ok.

Had to kill 3 hours there until my next bus. I ordered a coffee and breakfast, and they did not mind me staying for a while. 3h free Wi-Fi, possible to charge your devices. Classic McDonald’s I would say. Just have some cash on yourself if you wanna go to the toilets, cause the McDonald’s doesn’t have some, you will have to go to the station’s ones $.

I ordered a strawberry milkshake, got vanilla, then checked out and was given vanilla again and said: all shakes look the same. But strawberry should be pink and taste like strawberry and not like vanilla
