McDonald's in Karlsruhe

The staff is completely incompetent and has no idea what they're doing. The wait for breakfast was almost 30 minutes, even though the dining room was nearly empty. The McDonald's window was unmanned, and people were arguing at the counter. Please get back to work! It was truly disgusting to watch; everyone in the restaurant was embarrassed. Kudos to the staff! It was simply awful.

Unfortunately, the service here is terrible. I ordered food through the app with table service. After a long wait, the staff finally called out across the restaurant that I should pick up my order at the counter. The food had obviously been sitting there for a while and was no longer hot. I explained that I had ordered with table service, to which I was told that they didn't offer it. The shift manager I asked to speak to was also unfriendly and said that table service was no longer available after 10:00 PM. I asked where that was stated, and he simply walked away. Either you have staff for table service or disable the feature in the app! This is simply awful service. Go to another branch or the KFC across the street instead.

I enter McDonald's. There are many self-service kiosks where you can order your meal. At the counter, I'm served by a man who doesn't speak German. I'm 69 years old. McDonald's seems to cater only to young customers, even though we are an aging society. The fries are too thin and tasteless. Not recommended.

The taste was awful and dry, never again.

Today was just bad luck, the ordering machines weren't working properly, the ordered coffee was missing and the food wasn't good (cheeseburger was cold, paper was stuck to the bread, etc.). We won't be coming back, what a shame!

We just had a very unpleasant encounter with an employee. She gave us a really nasty reprimand when my son asked about the toy. She didn't even know what it was about and became completely unfriendly. She entertained the entire store with it; everyone was staring at us. Very unpleasant. We didn't want anything specific. Her behavior was unacceptable. Another employee in the service department laughed at us after the other colleague told her something. We are truly shocked by this behavior. Luckily, the KFC just opened across the street, so you don't necessarily have to go there anymore...considering the location. That was really nasty. 😟

We had a McRip meal, which was delicious and hot. My husband had a spicy dip challenge, and we were really surprised that the dips were really hot and delicious. The staff was very friendly and we got our food delivered to our table. We'd be happy to go again.

If I had to choose between this branch and the one at Mühlburg train station, I definitely wouldn't choose this one. Reasons: worse service, longer wait times, small entrance for the drive-thru (the queue often backs up all the way to the street), limited opening hours. Fresh from September 18, 2025: I've been there twice now, within three days. Both times, I was ripped off by the shift manager at the drive-thru. Both times, I ordered two apple turnovers, among other things, and he slipped me the current lemon-flavored promotional bag. No one wants to try those, so they deliberately deceive, or in this case, literally fool, the customer. The look on his face when he handed me the bag at the counter was more than suspicious. He knew what he was doing. Actually, it's almost worth advertising. Let's imagine I'm allergic to this exotic promotional version of a lemon pie...

I ate there shortly before midnight and forgot to order a burger. At 12:05 a.m., I quickly tried to reorder at the terminal. Instead, a short-tempered employee yelled at me that they were already closed – and she simply turned off the ordering terminal herself, even though I was in the middle of ordering. What's particularly annoying is that according to Google, the restaurant is open until 1:00 a.m. To be turned away so rudely at 12:05 a.m. is absolutely disappointing and unprofessional. The tone and manner in which I was treated as a guest here is completely unacceptable.

I always go there with my disabled mother. We really like it there. But there are no disabled parking spaces. That's a real problem for us.

Instead of an iced matcha latte, I got a Grimace Shake; the 6-pack of garlic pepper nuggets were just three regular nuggets and three plant-based nuggets (?!); the McFlurry Mango Boba was just a regular McFlurry, the fries were completely unseasoned, the Philly Cheese Stack came without cheese sauce, and instead of a pineapple turnover, there was an apple turnover. If I were the restaurant manager, I would give this employee (Dean) a bonus or promote him. He's generally very friendly. If only everyone were like him.

The parking lot doesn't have an electric charging station. However, you can charge at the nearby ATU supermarket. One of the restrooms was broken. My friend waited 20 minutes for his food because his order was simply lost in the system. The burger was outrageously prepared. The ingredients were just thrown together. The place was very warm and humid.

McDonald's isn't haute cuisine, of course, but it's still my favorite among fast food restaurants. This branch always has friendly and fast service. My favorite burger is the Big Tasty Bacon 😃

It's my habit to stop at McDonald's every now and then at the end of my regular walk. I know what standard to expect, namely good fast food quality at an affordable price in a familiar atmosphere. Friendly, prompt service and quick preparation are a given. As a slightly older person, I also adhere to the nutritional advice rules here. I eat salad first because the fiber causes my blood sugar levels to rise slowly. If I e.g. For example, if I have a mixed salad as a complete meal, a McSmart meal and a McSundae cup for dessert, I'm at around €10. Given the rise in food and restaurant prices, I find this very acceptable.

I visit McDonald's every now and then as it is a quick and easy way to eat. However, there are a few points that disappoint me and spoil the experience. A big problem is that the portions are not always what you expect. I often notice, especially with the large fries, that the packaging is not completely filled. For the price you pay, that should actually go without saying. Another point that bothers me is the temperature of the food. Unfortunately, especially with Chicken McNuggets, it often happens that they are no longer hot, but only lukewarm or even cold. This takes away a lot of the flavor and enjoyment of the dish. However, I find it positive that the staff is mostly friendly and tries to process orders quickly. The selection of food and drinks is also diverse, so there is actually something for everyone. The restaurants are also generally clean and easily accessible, which makes the stay pleasant. Nevertheless, the problems with freshness and portion size are serious. McDonald's is a restaurant that should be known for consistent quality, and that's exactly what I expect. Overall, I give it 3 out of 5 stars and hope that more attention will be paid to such details in the future.

We ordered here again today and unfortunately a not insignificant amount of the food was missing. We are currently at three deliveries with at least two items missing out of five deliveries. Unfortunately, the employees don't answer the phone, so the missing items can be credited back. This is very unsatisfactory. This cannot be achieved in the long term. It's very expensive then. We have been ordering from this branch for years and it has been the case from time to time in the past. Over the last year, incomplete delivery motives have increased. These are not sauces but rather burgers or nuggets hot items that also have a certain price. I can only recommend unpacking everything immediately, even if the driver is still there, and checking whether the things you ordered are there.

Terrible! For the 3rd time in a row, the food didn't arrive completely (ordered through liederando).. 2 menus were ordered. Only half arrived.. only the fries...!! Then they called and said that apparently there were no more burgers... in a burger restaurant?? Then you probably call and let them know, right? No, our money was ripped off for almost €30 and we didn't have any food in the middle of the night. The delivery also took a whole 2 hours. Ordered at 7:30 p.m. and it arrived at 10:01 p.m. We will never go there again.
