McDonald's in Mönchengladbach

Always dirty, the floor is slippery, and there are rats outside! To top it off, the shift managers are so disorganized. Today, May 20, 2024, we had to wait almost 45 minutes at the drive-thru for our food. A very friendly employee then asked us if we'd gotten our food, which we said no. He made our food and then brought us two ice creams as an apology. This isn't acceptable! You can't keep your customers waiting that long in a fast-food restaurant. Something needs to change internally!

My mother and I were there today around 8:30 p.m. It was incredibly crowded and extremely busy. The employees were trying their best to keep up with the workload and were naturally stressed. A group of about three women and one guy had three different orders and started arguing because they weren't ready at the same time. It was absolutely clear that they had no idea what they were doing and were in no position to complain. The incredibly friendly girl (Sofie) unfortunately had to put up with it and tried to stand her ground. She was unfortunately on her second day and was already doing a really good job. I find it absolutely unbelievable that the shift manager didn't intervene. They just stood by and watched. Later, when a man checked his order and noticed a missing burger, a young man was yelled at. He had already been working overtime and responded incredibly kindly (others would never have done that). We met him briefly outside again and found him to be super friendly there too. So, to sum up: The manager was absolutely not trained enough, nor was the lady interested in protecting her employees. The lady (presumably Indian) should undergo further training or perhaps consider a career change, because that has nothing to do with fulfilling her position. Oh, and the great colleague who first talked about teamwork. It makes little sense to talk about teamwork and then minutes later start gossiping about a new colleague in front of guests. I've rarely experienced something so disrespectful.

A lady here at MC Donald’s in MG is unfortunately the unfriendly employee I have had the pleasure of experiencing in my life. I'm really disappointed because she was repeatedly so unfriendly. Very unsatisfying when you leave the actually great fast food restaurant with a high heart rate and wanted to sip your iced latte with oat milk in peace and with a lukewarm black coffee with ice cubes and a cheeky “BYE!!!” breakfast is served. I then had to beg for extra ice cubes… unfortunately this happened repeatedly. As is well known, the iced coffee is ready in a tetra pack, the black coffee with three ice cubes simply tastes disgusting. I'll be happy to save the €4 soon! One less customer.

Any Messi would be thrilled by the order here. It really couldn't get any worse. Everyone, tables filthy, the floor probably hasn't seen water for days (apart from spilled drinks. The music from the kitchen was louder than the background music of the restaurant. Really an imposition

Crazy, there are 3 of us customers and we were here for almost half an hour. What happens when the store is full? Then you have to help out. It's 12:30 a.m. and you're dead. McDonald's Neuwerk can put off the name fast food restaurant in a neat and tidy manner. Any restaurant that prepares their food fresh is significantly faster

We ordered ice cream from McDonald's and unfortunately found an insect in the middle of one of the portions. I completely understand that something like this can happen unintentionally - it's human nature. When I asked the employee in a friendly manner and said that there was an insect in the ice, he replied directly: “It could be yours too!” – without understanding or apology. I still politely asked if we could please swap the ice cream. We did get new ice cream, but when the employee brought it, he pointed to it and said in an unfriendly tone: “You see, there’s nothing in it!” When I spoke to him again in a friendly manner, he just said annoyed: “Yes, and what do you want now?” Unfortunately, that was a very unpleasant experience. Please train your staff in kindness – treating guests respectfully makes a big difference. Thanks

We waited for over half an hour, a citizen was missing like the glasses, the number disappeared while waiting and when you asked for information the answer was yes, the answer was not helpful and then ignored by the staff

The three of us spent around €60. This is what we got: First of all, half of the orders (drinks, glasses, sauces, iced coffee) were missing. When we paid attention to this, we noticed that half of the staff couldn't speak our language. When we somehow showed them what was missing, the sauces were still missing and we didn't get the iced coffee we ordered, but a milkshake at start 3 and everything was there. Too much beep beep from all the machines

This is one of the filthiest McDonald's I've ever been to. Unfortunately, I'm a regular here, but it's never been satisfactory. The too few employees are still working reasonably hard in the kitchen and delivering, but they never manage to finish the food reasonably quickly. In addition, several times something was missing from the tray or the wrong thing was on it. The cleanliness is underground! The floor is disgustingly sticky, there is rubbish everywhere, the tables are dirty, etc.

Disappointing visit with poor hygiene and risky handling of allergies We went to McDonald’s last night and unfortunately the visit was anything but satisfactory. The toilets were in a shockingly unsanitary condition. It wasn't any better in the dining room either: dirt on the floor at the checkout, dirty tables and benches - cleanliness doesn't seem to be an issue here. But the worst: We had to wait longer than usual for 3 simple standard burgers (and a wrap). Two of them should specifically be without cucumbers. When handing it over, the employee noticed that the burgers still contained cucumbers. The bag was then simply put back in the back - where the cucumbers were quickly removed and the burgers were repackaged. No fresh preparation, no notice, no apology. I'm a mild allergy sufferer and accepted it with gritted teeth - something like this could be life-threatening for others. Dealing with food and customer safety this way is absolutely unacceptable.

Unfortunately I can only confirm that the ground floor is sticky. Apparently still? A bench on the ground floor was not cleaned properly; there was something dirty there. When I was there it wasn't that crowded. The service was quick, less than 10 minutes for 5 people and the food was warm.😃 I would have been happy if they had given me a straw and napkins, but instead I had to go to the counter myself and ask 😠☹️

1 star each is already too much!!!!Starting with the grubby circumstances (tables sticking, the toilet we're not even talking about) We waited 30 minutes for a kids menu and a wrap. The first time the wrap came without meat, then a completely wrong one and finally ice cold. This branch won't see us again

Dirty, very dirty. The stands with the table numbers probably haven't been cleaned in a long time. Tables, children's chairs and floor dirty. As a guest you have to clean it yourself first. Very bad air on the upper floor.

Went there spontaneously on a Saturday night, all the tables were dirty, the garbage wasn't removed and was piling up. The staff didn't care. Waiting over an hour for a menu wasn't great either.

We were there around 1 a.m. last night. The place was very dirty. The tables were all dirty, the floor was so sticky that you almost slipped, and the employees were very slow even though it wasn't busy. Some of the food was cold. The restrooms were also very dirty...👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Well, I have to agree with the previous reviewers' bad reviews. The place is dirty, the floor is sticky. We waited 27 minutes for our food. Neither the Big Mac nor the Royal Thai were warm; only the fries were good. I won't be going back.

Disgusting. I would never eat here again. Sticky floor, dirty tables and garbage everywhere. The kitchen is also super dirty. When I asked an employee about it, I even got a cheeky answer. And after that they just sit downstairs. By the way, we waited half an hour for the food.

Poorly prepared Big Macs and totally chaotic conditions behind the counter. There were probably 10-12 employees running around. A lot of cooks spoil the broth, is all I'm saying. Was there around 3 p.m., maybe there was a shift change 🤷🏻‍♀️ If not, way too many people in that area. The lady who served me was friendly, even though she was totally stressed. Was there again today (February 22, 2025) with the children...... Mega unfriendly and you don't feel like a customer, but more like a nuisance.

Even one star is too many. From there I got something to eat for my service. A few hours later I was in the hospital with food poisoning. That showed me no more MC’s!!! I wouldn't leave a cent there.

According to the internet, this McDonald's is open until 1am. However, if you order something at 10:30 p.m. and wait 20 minutes, you will be lovingly informed that the branch will be closing in a few minutes and that you should please leave the restaurant.

Unfortunately, you have to control everything. Even the burger individualization, because the staff apparently can't read and instead of the double ingredient they paid for, they leave out this ingredient entirely.

You save wherever you can! So we were there today. To be fair, I have to write that it was very crowded. So we ordered and went up the stairs, on the way an MC employee came flying towards us, she had visibly hurt herself, which she didn't notice, she hit my son on the head with the table number when he fell. I felt very sorry for both of them. Our food came, there were fries in the soda (1 tablet instead of 2), unfortunately there were no toys in both Happy Meals, so my son went back down, explained it and got the missing toys straight away. It can happen too!! Bite into the chicken burger, no sauce. 🥴 Went back down and got a new burger without any problems. Unfortunately, our fries weren't really hot from the start, so cold fries🙈 The kids wanted some ice cream, perfect would like a milk shake. Vanilla with chocolate sauce (+0.40€), which of course wasn't in it... The chocolate sauce. I think we would have received another new item, but honestly we didn't feel like it anymore. 🙊

So disgustingly dirty, I don't understand how a shop like that can sell food 🤮

When you drive to McDonald's and/or McDrive, you assume it's fast food. But there is absolutely no question of that here. I'm well aware that there's more to do on a Saturday evening, but if I stand in the drive-thru for 40(!!!) minutes, then the concept here is completely out of the question. If I hadn't ordered via the app, I would have turned around - so unfortunately I was "forced" to wait for an incredibly long time. Food was then also thrown into the packaging, as if the burgers had been thrown in from five meters. Luckily I have wet wipes in the car, because if you touched the burger box your hands were so full of grease it was like I had bathed in the oil tank.

The fast food restaurant is a disaster. Waited 20 minutes for the food and then it was cold. After the complaint it wasn't really any better. The whole restaurant was dirty and greasy. The staff has a range of motion of a meatball. Everyone is completely overwhelmed, uncoordinated and unfriendly. You can see that the team is having fun while working (irony off). I waited a full 15 minutes from the time I ordered to eat just for the fries to be cold and the fries to be half warm. Wow fast food restaurant was different.

Unfortunately one star is still too many for this branch! I waited over 20 minutes for a menu and two individual burgers. The number is called to adhere to the times, but then you just keep waiting. The employees seemed very unmotivated, no one knew what the other was doing, everyone was sneaking around each other, but there was more than enough time for long conversations with the Lieferando driver, these customers must have received ice-cold food. The women's toilets were also unacceptable - torn toilet lids and dirty floors were the picture that greeted you when you entered the room! IT was by far the worst branch I've ever seen!!

Mc Drive drove 3 Bicmac 1 Burger., paid and drove to the window. The store was empty and I waited for what felt like 10 minutes. The workers were having fun with each other as I could see. And the bag in his hand was mine, which he just held on to during the small talk. And stupid customer can wait……. When we got home we noticed that the burgers were cold and didn't line up properly... I had a bad experience with the branch a few months ago... Won't happen again

Not just that 25 minutes! Waited for three burgers, it was very dirty everywhere in the entire restaurant. Burgers that were complained about by customers were returned to the serving!! Except for one nice young woman, the staff was very annoyed.

So my nuggets were missing, so when they told me to pick them up myself or I'll get them next time, that's the only thing you can do now. Instead I had a burger that I hadn't ordered. Where I then saw that on my Royal TS!!!! The tomatoes were missing and my mood was completely down. The guy who's missing the burger can get it from me, maybe he'll have my tomatoes too. So then I'd rather let people complain about the wait than screw up entire orders over and over again. You don't even have to be an expert to pack an order of 5 things correctly and come up with a burger recipe! Seriously people. At least the ice cream maker is working.

I order 2 cappuccini. I want these drinks in cups to be sustainable. I get the cappuccini served in paper cups. I complain about the order and get an answer. "I do not care" Why I got 12 paper napkins with the drinks was also a mystery to me. Conclusion: the employee is unsuitable!

Food is just McDonald. You like it or you don't. What I don't like about this mc is that you stand in the mc drive for the longest time. But maybe we were unlucky.

Sorry, that wasn't possible today! We went in specifically to order it so that it would be warm or hot. At the beginning everything was good until your order was almost ready, the things were lying around for ages and the fries and the potatoes were ice cold and the burgers were only lukewarm. You don't expect too much when you have warm food, right?! The staff doesn't really seem to care, well maybe you should think about it.

Sie parken auf dem hauseigenen Parkplatz, gehen in das Restaurant und im gleichen Moment springt jemand, der sie zuvor beobachtet hat, aus einem Auto, rennt zu ihrem Fshrzeug und verpasst ihnen eine 24.- Euro Zahlungsaufforderung weil sie keine Parkscheibe im Fenster haben. Sie kommen nach genau 5 Minuten zurück und haben das Ticket. Obwohl man dort 90 Minuten stehen darf und die Parkplatzaufsichtsfachkraft genau gesehen hat wie sie ins Lokal gegangen sind. Mit Worten kaum zu beschreiben. Vielleicht trifft es „ Asozial“ ziemlich gut….

You are not taken into account as a customer. You sit in the restaurant for 30 minutes and wait for your food. I am absolutely disappointed with my last visit to McDonald's. We ordered via the machine and paid by card. After an incredible 40 minutes of waiting, we finally got our food - but without the iced coffee we ordered. None of the employees informed us that the machine was broken. We only found out when we received the order. To make matters worse, we were then told that we couldn't get any money back because we had paid by card. Instead we got a McFlurry worth €3, even though the iced coffee cost €5. This behavior is completely unacceptable and shows poor customer service. I will definitely not recommend this location and will avoid it in the future.

Food, well, was soft and not nice to look at. The service seemed listless, and the store looked accordingly. No table was clean and you could eat off the floor, there was so much lying around.

McDonald's is McDonald's and basically only differs in tiny ways. Here we liked the slightly more challenging playground, the really freshly made food and the service staff, who were friendly and humorous.

A good modern McDonald's. Despite the large number of visitors, the waiting time was reasonably short. Otherwise, the taste and price are like any McDonald's.

Could be clean, the tables are cleaned too rarely. Toilet sticks to the floor every time. And the service/preparation also takes a little longer.
