McDonald's in Mainz

Be careful, if you're not from the city, you have to be careful if you want to park there. Unfortunately, I had nowhere else to go and had to get there quite early, partly because I had to wait for them to open. But even if you sit there the whole time and order something, you still have to pay a penalty! What a disgrace! I would understand if you didn't eat or buy anything. But as a customer, I'll think twice about going there again next time. Rip-off!

My daughter wanted to go there for breakfast, so I did because I'm nice. It was an experience, and it was okay. I'm curious to see if I'll go there again at that time of day. The hot chocolate was too watery, the roll was good, but that combination takes courage. The price was too high and not appropriate, but at least I had a good seat.

Absolutely terrible. Burgers not reheated, small fries instead of large ones...

Touch of the ordering machine has been a disaster for weeks

Food typical McDonald's. Unfortunately not quite as clean and the tray return carts are constantly overcrowded. Update 05.2025: The terminals react very slowly to the input and payment by card is rejected at irregular intervals. When paying in cash, it is advisable to check the change immediately. Over 30 minutes of waiting time even though there wasn't much activity.

Waited 45 minutes for my order. Not so nearly for a fast food restaurant. No apology or anything. Restaurant was also very dirty.

The service is a disaster. Way too slow. The rag for the coffee didn't look appetizing. We won't eat here anymore.

Unfortunately I can't choose any minus stars for friendliness. We were just at MC Donalds in Mainz-Hechtsheim. We came across a very annoyed young employee on the drive who cashed in on us, turned around and walked away. We thought it was to get change. When she came back she sent us straight to the issue. I was so perplexed and went to the second window. Our food was handed out straight away, I told the employee that we didn't get a receipt or change. He gave me the receipt (which said that I had paid appropriately/which was definitely not the case) and said he would take care of it and we should wait a moment. After a long wait, the lady in question came and gave me a “part” of the remaining money and complained to me that we had paid it appropriately and, thanks to me, her cash register was now incorrect. I've never been treated like this! I'm really shocked!

DriveIn is a disaster. It takes longer than any other McDonalds. Restaurant orders are also taking longer than usual.

We were at the drive-thru. At first it all seemed like the system wasn't working. 10 minutes of dead silence while 2 cars waited at the counter in front of us. But the most important thing: I ordered a vegetarian burger and got a random piece of fried meat (looked like crispy chicken) on it, which firstly was an absolute nonsense and secondly it didn't even have anything to do with the burger I ordered. The rest of the burger, however, was as ordered. So there was no mix-up. The package was also marked veggy. I try really hard to write mostly good reviews. But this time it was just such a bummer that I unfortunately have to do it. Vegetarians/vegans in particular experience this so often and it is simply disrespectful.

Very dirty, food cold (given back) and the new one just as cold. No, nothing was going on. Very very shabby. I will never visit again.

Disappointing experience – cleanliness and service needs improvement Unfortunately, our visit to this McDonald’s branch was anything but pleasant. The restaurant was very dirty, especially the tables and the tray trolley, where used trays were piled up without being cleared away in a timely manner. The green numbers of orders that had already been delivered were also not removed, which led to confusion. What was particularly annoying was that our order number suddenly disappeared from the system, even though our order wasn't ready yet. The service also left a lot to be desired - a younger employee seemed overwhelmed and also treated us with rudeness. Due to the lack of hygiene and organization, we ultimately decided to eat our food on the hood of our car instead of in the restaurant. The branch and department management should urgently intervene here to improve cleanliness, service and processes.

Clean, McDonald's offering good

Something is forgotten in 99% of McDrive orders. This has been the case for years. Until you go back to get the missing parts, everything else becomes cold. It's also annoying to have to go there again.

Food is okay so far, but there is probably a bit of cheating here in terms of time! You order from the displays, which are completely hanging. Then you go to the collection point with the receipt and wait until your own number appears. Then you go to the counter and are told that the food isn't ready yet. Why does it click ready for pickup even though you still have to wait almost 5 minutes. I hope the boss of the restaurant reads this. The employees here are probably kidding their boss about the working hours per order.. I see this within the time in which I eat my menu. 3 tables where something has to be reported again because something is missing or wrong.. Are you going? You have to know!

I probably won't go there again. The food was somewhat okay, the service was very friendly and helpful, but the cooking area, as far as you could see from the counter, seemed very unclean and greasy. The toilets, which is often how you measure a catering establishment, were totally unkempt and dirty. There wasn't so much going on that it would have gotten so dirty in two hours can ground. My wife came out of the toilet without having done anything and wanted to go somewhere else.

We ordered 2 menus and 2 additional cheeseburgers. All burgers and all fries were cold. Cold doesn't even mean anything warmed up. This shouldn't be possible for so much money now. Since we were hungry, I didn't say anything. But I'll avoid McDonald's, no matter where. It's just expensive crap.

I ordered a 9 piece with sweet/sour sauce, got sweet/sour sauce 9 times, complained and said we can't exchange it, just have to order it again, Can only say if this is service……..:.!

I was recently at McDonald's in Mainz and would like to express my disappointment at an unpleasant experience. First of all, I have to say that the food was good and we, three people, enjoyed eating and of course paid for it. We felt comfortable in the restaurant and the stay was pleasant, which is why we stayed there longer than usual to chat. Unfortunately, this stay was overshadowed by a very unpleasant surprise: after spending over 2.5 hours there, I parked my car in the restaurant's parking lot. To my disappointment, I later received a ticket for exceeding the 90 minute parking limit. I find it very outrageous that if you eat in a restaurant and pay for it, you also have to pay a traffic ticket. The ambience of McDonald's Mainz invites you to stay longer, eat and chat with friends. In this respect, I think it is inappropriate that customers are punished for staying a little longer. I hope for a solution to this problem because I don't see the point of having to pay extra for a situation like this. I am open to changing my rating positively if this case is resolved to my satisfaction.

I waited 20 minutes for drive in today, unbelievable and the food didn't taste good!!!!

The food is just McDonald's but what I find very disappointing is that you are the only guest at the checkout and there is nothing going on, but you are still asked to wait because the private conversation is more important

Unfortunately the opening time was set at 8 a.m. and so I had to wait 30 minutes in the cold.. . When they opened I was greeted very warmly. I then ordered something. When I was finished I was given a new type of cookie (free) for waiting outside for 30 minutes. I think it's very nice here and recommend it to everyone.

Absurdly dirty toilets. Ordered a latte to drink there = paper cup. It's freezing cold in there and you should avoid the toilets. The main thing is that there are parking lot surveillance signs everywhere.

McDonald = McDonald? No, there are differences. Actually, I only go to this one because it's so close to the motorway and the parking spaces are practically in front of the door, but everything else works here too. The restaurant and the toilets are very clean, the service is friendly, even if you repeatedly ask for napkins.

We froze our asses off this morning!!! At the beginning of January it's warmer outside than inside 🥶 I first had to get my thick winter jacket and scarf out of the car. Toilets are more like train stations. And also very dirty in the restaurant (dust, dirt, stains) Table service was friendly, food OK. We won't be coming back - Ciao👋

Food and drink was OK. When the pickup number was called, the order had just started, so it was better to have it brought to the table.

Waited forever for the order - slow staff - the shop smelled like a drain and the Big Rösti had the wrong toppings and the patty was totally dry. Overall, one of the worst McDondalds visits in my life

Update: At the kids' request, I pick up something every now and then, but it can't be the case that people at home notice that items are always missing. Unfortunately it has gotten worse and below average with this one Branch. It takes forever. Unfortunately, the friendly staff don't always understand everything due to the language barrier. The ordering terminals hang up and you are thrown out of the ordering process on the company's own app. And again you have to check EVERY order and if necessary be patient. When it comes to glass sales, there is never enough in stock. Sorry McDonald's.

Classic McDonalds experience. Tastes like always. Pickup monitor lies, but whatever. I wonder why you establish such a thing if you still shout every number through the restaurant.

The rubbish piled up very unpleasantly at the entrance and the equipment for ordering was also broken, so we had to pay at the checkout.

You have to squat in the bathroom. The toilets don't have seats!

Service is subpar, staff doesn't understand German, team leader is cheeky just because they were told I don't eat burgers where there is a sticker with bacon on the packaging. Since the burger was cold, I assume that the bacon was simply pulled out and served. You get coffee and tea there, even if you eat it there, in paper cups, which are completely smeared with coffee. Disgusting. Everything comes cold and things are forgotten too often. Guys, if you eat there, triple check your order

Located right next to the highway. Nice and friendly staff. The burgers are actually always well “assembled” and not carelessly thrown together. Be careful when parking: As is usual these days, automatic surveillance lurks here and it gets expensive if you exceed 90 minutes. But in the restaurant practically all the walls are papered with warnings and you don't fall into the trap that happened to me there a few years ago!

Was there again to get two McFlurries. Regardless of the fact that the ice cream machine is often “broken” and you then go there for free, my visit today was once again unbelievable. 2 cars in front of me and it took about 22 minutes from order to finish. Long story short: Ordered McFlurry, paid for it, waited forever, was told there was no more cookie dough but I should wait a moment, there might be some, but there isn't any left, money back and bye. This store is a disaster.

The staff are always super friendly with our children. The food is like all McDonalds.

Every time something is missing from the order. Prices are getting higher and the quality is getting worse. On-site staff are mostly unfriendly and overwhelmed with a few exceptions. I can only recommend everyone to carefully check the order in MC Drive, you shouldn't have blind trust, because then you will usually quickly be disappointed again.

I ordered a crispy chicken menu and a fanta. What I actually got was a Coke Zero and a Big Mac. The only thing that was right was the fries. Unfortunately, I noticed it too late to go back. But you should also pack the right things even when you are stressed.

Order terminals only work sporadically; the order then took about 15-20 minutes. Part of the order was simply forgotten. The whole thing with constant, loud beeping from various devices. The 5 different beeps that were heard continuously caused a moderate headache within a very short time.

Waiting time: 30 minutes for a menu.

It's best to always check what's missing every time you ordered something wrong twice today and then get cheeky for your own stupidity!!!

Eating cold, long waiting times and bones in the nugget, something like that is not something to announce

Total waiting time, 19 minutes for a standard menu is simply not fast food but a sign of false marketing. That was my last visit here. By the way, the menu was cold when I finally got it and the burger was soggy and the fries were partly undercooked.

Who doesn't know that you always go to Mäcke's once a year. The service is great in Hechtsheim, very friendly staff and if something doesn't fit, they try very hard to make it fit again. Thank you for that!

As a rule, you know what quality you get at McDonald's, but this McDonald's scores with even worse quality. The latest highlight, ordered a hamburger without onions and cucumber, got a hamburger with half burnt bread and no sauces... Something like that is not allowed to go out to customers...

Absolute disaster... I'm really used to something different at McDonald's. Employees' feet are sore and we wait 20 minutes even though we only ordered 4 things and there was nothing going on. The order was still missing sauces and the toppings in general for the Mc Flurry. Absolutely not recommended.

The side salad with the menu is just ridiculous.

Unfortunately, the fries are never edible and are always soggy. And every time I order a McFlurry. And every time it is not mixed with the machine. Not even if I explicitly ask for it when ordering. Every time I have to ask for it again and then I get dirty looks. Duration at McDrive until delivery underground.

Never waited so long for ice cream

I waited 10 min under the mc drive for someone to serve me. I did not live to see... I went inside, where I waited 20 min for food, ice cream I got melted , mc wrap hard, it was impossible to eat. Tragedy...

The business here is completely filthy! There are napkins, leftover food and garbage everywhere on the floor. There is no question of long waiting times and no need to broom or clean up! Personally, I think this should be changed suddenly!

The service is really top! The blonde lady with the glasses and the tattoos was super friendly and gave our kids a little joy. 🫶🏼

Bad employees, especially at the checkout in the drive-thru

I just wanted to quickly go to the MC Donald drive in, ordered in advance via the app. I am ignored my order is still not ready after 30 minutes. 5 cars after me were served. The staff was approached several times and there was no response! After entering the restaurant I demand my money back and my order is promptly in front of me. I've lost my appetite and I'm demanding my money back. What's going on, I'm just mad 40 minutes for nothing!!!

The Mac's have been around in Hechtsheim for a long time, but the condition 3 days ago was OMG, just disgusting, the floor and tables are sticky. You don't want to touch the front door at all. The clearing station may have been cleaned a year ago and much more. You don't even want to know what the "kitchen" looks like, I don't eat there anymore.

Rarely seen such a disgusting branch. Every table was empty and every table was dirty. Employees didn't seem to care. Food drop off was full. We don't know how long it has been. Everything outside was full of rubbish on the ground. Food was good. But difficult to enjoy in the dirt. I have no idea what's going wrong here... Maybe it was football and they were overrun.

I stood at the drive-in counter for almost 5 minutes without anyone answering. A queue had now formed. I then went to the branch to point this out. The employees just understood my comment and sent a colleague to the DriveIn counter. I didn't receive an apology or any small compensation. That's a shame and would certainly have prevented me from writing such a bad review. This branch used to be better. (I then ate something inside. And the drink came wrong. Unfortunately I will avoid the branch in the future)

So it's late, but this McDonald's is really disgusting. Toilets were dirty and disgusting, every tanlett cart was full and the food tasted like it was from hours ago and was very bad even by McDonald's standards. Not to mention that the order from 3 citizens and an empty restaurant took more than 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, when I look at all the complaints here, it explains a lot. Incompetent employees and all that :) But you should really notice that half of the burger is missing before you pack it up!

Very dirty that evening floor as well as tables

Naughty employee at the counter: In the evening I wanted to eat something and unfortunately I chose this McDonald's. The monitor at the car counter with the order overview was broken. They mumble in broken German, which is barely understandable, and you can count yourself lucky if the order is taken correctly. Among other things, I ordered a Royal Cheese/Cheese. Shortly after paying, when I had the receipt in my hand, I noticed that a Royal TS had been booked, which on the one hand costs more and on the other hand I cannot eat due to allergies. So I kindly tell the employee that there must have been a mistake and that I would like some Royal cheese. He first pushed the window in front of my face in annoyance, only to be even more annoyed half a minute later and assure me that I had supposedly ordered a TS. I declined again and after endless back and forth as to whether I would have said TS or cheese, the order was reluctantly changed. My question about the difference was evaded with a "Drive up, but you really ordered a TS." When I arrived at the second counter, the order was handed over to me correctly, but the difference was missing. The employee there only spoke English and when I explained the situation to him in English, he called the first employee who, after a few more cheeky comments like that I couldn't order correctly, gave me the difference. Shortly afterwards I realized that I wasn't given enough, but by then I was fed up. Customer service looks different. And even if I had accidentally said TS (and I NEVER order TS because of my allergy), they could have told me in a friendly manner and avoided this mushy reaction. Never again McD Hechtsheim!

Very long waiting times to drive

My husband came there to buy a vegetarian menu for me. He bought Mcplant hamburgers and Mcplant nuggets, but the boxes said Mcplant but there was meat in them and the nuggets weren't Mcplants either. I don't understand how such a mistake could have happened. I will never go to McDonald's again.

Carelessly put together burgers and substandard service. In addition, the cleanliness of the interior and toilets is unreasonable. The toilet door handles are broken and after I reported this to an employee I was only answered sarcastically with a broad grin: "I'll pass it on to the responsible colleague."

Drive in on Friday evening was a complete disaster, disorganized and endless waiting times.

I had to wait 20 minutes and then my big Mac sauce was forgotten and there was no cheese on my royal ts cheese so it doesn't work at all

Order on the drive, then pay at the 1st counter and drive up to the 2nd counter for collection as usual. Here the window remained closed for about 7-8 minutes. There was nothing going on in the afternoon, there was only one other car behind me (I don't know what the restaurant looked like). Later, the only lukewarm DoubleChiliCheese Burger was handed out without saying a word. When I asked whether the customer could be informed in advance that it would take a little longer, the service person simply snapped, "I have other things to do!" through the window. I don't want to report any more. This restaurant used to be better. Fortunately, there are also others in Mainz...

I've been waiting for my food for 30 minutes even though there's nothing going on. Unfortunately, it's doubtful whether I'll get the food by tomorrow. I'll give an update as soon as my food arrives, keep your fingers crossed for me. Greetings

Customers are simply ignored, never again.

Ordered there 3 times, something was missing in every damn order! This time it was a burger and instead of normal nuggets, the plant based nuggets! When I called there they hung up on us and no one answered for 30 minutes! When the unfriendly lady finally answered the phone again, all she said was that they couldn't help me and that they didn't have a driver. Dirty place.

Want to take a quick break on the way back from a motorcycle tour. Waited about 30 minutes for 2 muffins and 12 pancakes with about 14 other customers.

Half of the ordering kiosks were forced to close because they ran out of paper for receipts, overflowing bins, dirty toilets and a lack of staff to serve lunch customers. This McDonald's is conveniently located right off the highway, but I'm going to drive a little further down the road simply because this place needs better management and more staff to take care of it. The employees are doing their best and it looked like they were busy and diligent at work... but no one was there to take care of the problems.

I ordered a Happy Meal, took it home, and it turns out I didn't get a toy or a salad. I'm very upset because I don't have time to go back and complain.

By far one of the most disgusting stores in this chain. I was able to return my milkshake because there were no straws available. The change given by the branch manager was also incorrect. Apparently the staff was massively overwhelmed, even though there were only 5 people in the entire store at lunchtime, including me.

Men's room was so disgusting. The floor was so sticky that it almost took my shoes off. The soap was empty. The other soap dispenser is defective. Overall, this branch made a very unkempt and dirty impression. Everything was greasy, the monitors were greasy 🫣, the work surface was dirty, etc. Nobody can get me into this branch anymore. The company should take a look at this. I don't think this horrible branch is worthy of McDonald's. It would be really sad. The headquarters should probably pay a visit and ensure order. Just disgusting. Am very disappointed. I don't know anything like that from McDonald's.

I just want to eat my 9 mcplant nuggets😔 I was there 4 times. Once I only got 6 McPlant nuggets instead of 9, the second time I got real chicken nuggets instead, and the third time I got a McPlant burger. I'm disappointed😔

My closest McDonald's and therefore the most frequented. Standard menu but unfortunately often dry, cold goods.

Waited 35 minutes. Restaurant was moderately busy. But the staff was very nice.

Nice shop but I noticed the prices have doubled in 24 months

Service leaves a lot to be desired as the necessary attention is lacking. Once again they forgot to pack the burgers in the order. If you order Sprite it shouldn't be cola either. If the cheeseburger you ordered has just been sold out and it is said that it will be brought to the table, it should be that way and not only after another request. May 28, 2024 Ordered and paid for in Mc Drive. Arrived home and discovered that once again the order was not complete. The service is now underground and the staff is not able to put the order together without something missing!!!

We didn't have to wait long but when the food arrived, most of it wasn't there and all the bread was stuck to the packaging and the fries were already old and hard.

McDonalds needs to learn something about the difference between rolls and puff pastry. As far as I know, the name “Franzbrötchen” is protected by copyright. At least the breakfast used to be much better.
