McDonald's in Hagen

I'd give this place zero stars if I could, but unfortunately that's not possible. It was awful. I went to McDonald's with a friend after a long time, and I'm shocked by how unfriendly the staff were. It's really not worth it; it's a waste of money. You'd be better off getting a kebab.

Unfriendly. The customer isn't king here; it's just annoying for the staff. The burger looked really bad, soggy and old, and the tables are probably only cleaned once in the evening.

Absolutely a dump - Dirty... Unhygienic... Tables are filthy... Shoes stick to the floor. Toilets cost €0.50, even if you buy something in this dump. Dark chocolate isn't even 50 degrees Celsius.

On October 1, 2025, we drove approximately 15 km to your restaurant to have breakfast. We wanted to order a breakfast menu with burgers at 10:20 a.m., but we were told that these items were unavailable. Since breakfast hours were still valid at that time, we found it incomprehensible that the breakfast rolls were already "out of stock." This gave us the impression that they might not have wanted to prepare breakfast for us because there were so many guests present. We were very disappointed, as we had made the trip and were looking forward to breakfast. Unfortunately, we left in a bad mood. We ask for an explanation as to how such a situation could have occurred and hope that better service will be provided in the future.

The quality of service leaves something to be desired. The order is not served, but thrown at you. The staff shows dissatisfaction with their entire appearance.

The staff is very unfriendly; you feel very unwelcome. The branch manager thinks she could be better. She complains to the staff in front of customers and stands in the corner on her cell phone.

Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. I used the table service option via the McDonald's app – which worked perfectly, and the tables even had the appropriate table service signs on them. Nevertheless, the staff told me that there wasn't actually any table service. The tone was less than friendly. For a company like McDonald's, I expect consistent service and better communication. This makes you feel like you're not being taken seriously as a customer. It's a real shame.

Hey, I was recently at Mecces on the upper floor, and it was so dirty that it made my throat tighten. It was absolutely disgusting to look at that sight in my own eyes. The food was, as always, incredibly expensive, and it took 10 minutes for me to finally get my food. You should know, Best regards, anonymous user

the service is terrible, without any respect and they always mix up the order, okay once but constantly it's too much. several times we waited more than an hour for the order, because the workers simply forgot about us when the establishment was almost empty

Employees are extremely stressed which results in sort of lesser quality

The following experience took place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, around 7:10 a.m After I entered the branch I had to make myself noticed by shouting loudly. I actually just wanted a café. After a few more minutes, someone made themselves known from the back of the kitchen and called out to me from the kitchen to get someone. Then an employee (manager?) came. When I said that I wanted a cafe, she ordered me to the McCafe area My problem is. When I told her that I felt like I was being a nuisance at the moment, I got the answer that if I was that unfriendly I wouldn't get anything. I actually had to leave the branch without a cafe. In front of the branch I could actually see that she was busy delivering goods. In fact, there were several Euro pallets outside with goods. But why is there no employee in the branch to serve her? Normally I would have checked the matter off as solved... but I read in the reviews that several incidents had already been described about this employee (branch manager?).

They give melted ice cream and are so unfriendly

The manager yesterday morning was very rude to me because i didn’t speak german. After i told her she said something in german and everybody turned around to look at me.

I ordered something to take away today. Unfortunately, when I tried it at home, I noticed that the quality had deteriorated. The last time I went to McDonald's was 5 years ago, but the quality was much better. I hope the quality improves again because McDonald's is okay every now and then.

Here you will be greeted unfriendly as soon as you walk in. If you don't order beforehand, you're not allowed to sit down. I said my family had already ordered and were waiting for me upstairs, so he wanted to run after me to make sure. Then I replied unkindly. Drinks are not completely filled. Places were not clean.

The store is very unclean! No more table service displays and the receipt didn't come out either!

Disgraceful behavior from the staff. The ground floor was packed. There are additional seats on the upper floor, but access was blocked. I pointed out to the staff that there were no more free seats on the ground floor and that they should therefore please free up the seats on the upper floor. They're not allowed to do that. Otherwise just mushy reactions to my request.

The hygienic conditions of the guest room are really a no-go. I really don't know why no one checks it from the responsible authorities in Hagen. Even something as simple and obvious as cleaning the tables seems to be too much for the staff

I had just been there and the employee with the glasses and the old woman with the black hair looked at me really stupidly, as if they had never seen a person before. The one with the glasses was really unfriendly and rude to me. The food tasted like garbage.

Hello, I'm talking about this MacDonalds first because that's how people treat you. There's a big man who keeps kicking us out and doesn't say why. And I also saw rats in the kitchen Worst MacDonald's I've ever visited.

The branch manager was very unfriendly and extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food didn't taste good either.

Where should you even start here??? Unfriendly staff, food is inedible and disgusting even by McDonald’s standards. Everything is dirty and not cleaned and my personal highlight is the toilet, which you have to pay for and rivals pretty much any train station toilet. It's pretty much the most disgusting thing ever

Very disappointing! The hygienic conditions in the McDonald's branch in downtown Hagen are simply catastrophic. Dirty tables everywhere and the floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Even the counter and kitchen equipment that could be seen from the register were dirty and neglected. The staff was rude and made fun of customers instead of working professionally. I found it particularly annoying that they spoke to each other in Arabic in front of the customers - you just didn't feel like you were being taken seriously. To make matters worse, the staff didn't even know how to properly make a decaf coffee. I ended up with more milk than coffee in my mug. It seemed like they had no idea how to operate their own machines. Overall a really bad experience. The hygienic conditions are so bad that the food inspection office should urgently visit. I will definitely avoid this branch!

No matter what you order, there are free side dishes on the tables outside! Beyond disgusting. When we saw the tables we didn't want any more coffee. Maybe you should donate rags!

Update from August 14, 2024: Unfortunately, things are getting worse with the branch. Totally overcrowded inside and out and no seats available. Inside, the tables hadn't been cleaned as far as I could see...and there was leftover food all over the floor. No wonder the mice feel comfortable there. The 1st floor is closed although there are still more seats there. Completely incomprehensible. Maybe okay to take away, but completely unsuitable for a lunch break on site. Certainly one of the worst branches I've seen... Old rating until August 14, 2024: I have to say in advance that I am always very reserved with reviews and give them very thoughtfully; especially if they are not positive. However, what I experienced on my last visit makes me doubt this branch. The area is far too small for the number of customers. Although you can see light from the outside on the 1st floor, access to the 1st floor in the branch itself was blocked (by the way, by a completely demolished packing display but without any notices or inscriptions). Although the food is served for consumption on site, there is no sufficient seating or standing counter. All places are hopelessly overcrowded (time around 3:30 p.m.). The only available seat was also covered in ketchup and garbage; that's why no one sits there. The cleanliness of the floor also left something to be desired. Leftover food and packaging waste and napkins everywhere. Unfortunately a McDonald's of poor execution.

By far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. At night, an hour before closing, they only placed take-out orders and handed out bags everywhere, however, the stupidity of the employees is such that it is even dirtier for them to pack everything up so that the customer can eat right there. Is it difficult to leave the Eat Here option enabled and put it on a tablet? Now if I go to McDonald's do I have some fries left and need a bag and have to pay .60 cents? At night the slutty employees give it to everyone too lazy to wash the damn tablet, I only see one employee there who works with joy and a lot of length, and because of this good energy I returned, unfortunately I didn't see that employee again (He probably quit, imagine working with a toxic team?) In the McDonald's contract, does the manager actually say what you can do differently than others? Anyway, I will never go back!

I always find the young man with a pigtail to be very friendly and committed, so other cashiers can learn a lesson from him!

A 2-story establishment, the second floor is always closed, and there are no empty seats on the first floor (nowhere to sit). Wi-Fi and sockets are available, but they work very rarely (I was like this more than 7 times, everything worked only 1 time)

You sit at McDonald's and see the employees fighting with a mouse. A lady wanted to take a photo of this and was approached directly and told to delete it! Mouse was caught and taken to the back of the kitchen. An employee said to another colleague that something like that would be normal for her here! I'm shocked! I threw my food straight in the trash! Never again!!!!

Closes at 11pm and I was there at 10:45pm and they wouldn't let us in

We were there recently and wanted to eat at the table inside, which unfortunately wasn't possible. The floor was full of crushed fries and the tables (No. 5 and 6) were completely smeared with dried ketchup and covered with used trays because the cart was completely overcrowded for them. We told the staff who were arguing about who could finish work early first and then left. We will not visit this branch again!!!!!

I was there today between 10 and 11 a.m., the employee (black hair and a full beard) was very unfriendly and, in my opinion, didn't feel like working. I also had to wait about 15 minutes for 2 hamburgers even though the shop was almost empty. I then asked the employee how long my small order would take, but he didn't give me an answer. Furthermore, the shop was very dirty and unkempt. This store is no longer an option for me

It's getting worse and worse, the upstairs restaurant (when open) isn't clean, Hello HAAS family, that doesn't work at all or should the guests now clean the floor and tables? Tip: Better stop chatting downstairs and think about the guests again.

The food was ready quickly and was okay by McDonald's standards. For once we ate in the branch... once and never again! The whole floor was dirty and totally sticky. An employee went around wiping the tables, but he didn't seem to be interested in the dirty floor.

€4.99 for delivery is excessive.

Team Wallraff would have fun in this branch. The entire branch is covered in dirt and grime. And even though the coffee bar wasn't even open that day (no beans), none of the employees had time to pick up a rag. The toilets were completely filthy and there was obviously mouse droppings in the shop windows. I wonder why there are no checks on such grievances in the city center. But some customers should also think about their behavior when it comes to cleanliness.

I have rarely visited such a filthy and dirty McDonald's. The tables were sticky and unclean. There were leftover food and garbage on the floor. You really lose your appetite. I don't go there anymore. Incomprehensible.

Ca. 15:20 an einem Montag - Die kleine Filliale war Rappelvoll mit mindestens 7 bestellungen in Vorbereitung. Ich bekam mein Essen nach 2-3 Minuten. Einen Platz zum sitzen zu finden war schwer, und ich hatte Glück, dass ein einzeltisch frei war, viele tische hatten Müll rumliegen. Meine Curly Fries waren frisch, sehr heiss. Mein Big Tasty Bacon Burger war vom Patty her recht fad, der rest war okay. Meine Fanta bekam ich trotz vor ort bestellung in einem To-Go cup, aus welchem das trinken etwas unhandlich war. Das Getränk selbst jedoch war eiskalt.

Sehr freundlich das Personal und sauber der gesamte Gastraum und essen war auch prima

Ich finde es ist der sauberste,netteste,ehrlichste Mc Donal's den es in Hagen gibt. Man fühlt sich da wohl wen was nicht inordnung ist kümmern sich die Mitarbeiter und helfen wo Sie nur können und Sie erklären sich auch wenn was nicht inordnung ist.

Sehr schmuddelig und viel zu kleiner Fastfood für so einen Andrang. Burger wie überall. Unterirdisch.

Was soll ich sagen, denke McDonalds kennt jeder und manchmal brauch ich halt einen leckeren Burger. Es freut mich dass McDonalds es geschafft hat einen leckeren Veggi Burger ins Programm zu nehmen, den McPlant, bei dem Vorgänger musste mein Sohn immer ohne Soße bestellen weil diese viel zu scharf war. Ansonsten war alles wie immer schnell, nette Bedienung und lecker. Ok, die Burger Preise sind mir doch etwas zu teuer, da ich meist auch kein Menü möchte, man muss aber auch nicht jeden Tag dahin 😉

Mittlerweile ist es in dem Laden so dreckig wie ich es noch nie in einem MC Donalds gesehen habe!!! Schichtleitung komplett überfordert und nach bescheid geben das mal sauber machen sollten nur das nötigste vom Tisch geholt.

Das Essen ist Standard, wie man es von McDonalds als Systemgastronomie gewöhnt ist. Die Mitarbeiter sind zumeist freundlich. Lediglich das Ambiente könnte ein bisschen besser sein. Oftmals ist es nicht so sauber, was aber auch größtenteils an einigen rücksichtslosen Leuten liegt, die dort essen. Die Burgerverpackung war heute zudem sehr schmutzig und verklebt. Das war auch nicht allzu schön. Ansonsten in Ordnung.

Manchmal wünsche ich mir das MC Donalds von meiner Kindheit zurück. Wo man unbeschwert Fast Food zu sich nehmen kann , und wo das Restaurant regelmäßig gereinigt wird.

Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr genervt von Kids, die sich einfach in die Filiale setzen und quatsch machen. Zwar kann man das verstehen, aber trotzdem kriegen "normale" Kunden auch was von der Laune ab. Wegen dieser Chaoten ist auch der obere Abschnitt gesperrt. Schade, dass alle Klienten davon betroffen sind. Das Essen ist so wie man es McDonaldsmäßig auch erwartet. Es gibt riesige Unterschiede zwischen den Erzeugnissen der Kaffeemaschine im McCafe, leider sind nur wenige Mitarbeiter im Stande diese richtig zu benutzen. Völlig unterbesetzt, weshalb es auch ziemlich dreckig werden kann. Trotzdem geben sich viele noch Mühe, wie auch die Filialleitung, den Mitarbeitern sei also nicht die alleinige Schuld am Restaurantstatus zuzuschreiben.

Eigentlich ganz gut jedoch fand ich eine Ratte in meinem Burger und diese war zwar lecker mit ich dachte einfach ratatouille.

Heute etwas bestellt, ich musste warten weil Apfeltaschen erst gemacht wurden, ein Mitarbeiter hatte aber schonmal mein Eis Fertig gemacht und in denn Kühlschrank getan auch meine 2 Burger waren schon fertig. Zum Glück wurde währenddessen gewechselt und eine neue mitarbeiterin etwas, älter hatte sich entschuldigt dass es noch etwas dauern würde während eine andere mal wieder sofort meine Quittung sehen wollte wie so oft, sie scheint mich wohl auf denn Kicka zu haben? Naja die gute Dame also die ältere hat die Bürger weitergegeben und mir ein neues Eis gemacht und weil ich doch länger warten musste hatte sie mir auch noch 2 apfeltaschen in die Tüte. Dass Lob ich mir, es ist Mir auch Lieber etwas zu warten und dafür frischer, nur die Sache dass man alles fertig macht insbesondere dass Eis und dann noch 10 min. da steht ist mit sicherheit nicht im sinne des Erfinders,. wäre die gute Dame nicht gewesen hätte ich lauwarme Bürger inkl gematschten Eis bekommen. Top Mitarbeiterin 👍️ davon braucht Mc donald mehr.

Das Essen ist super, da die Lage mitten in der Stadt liegt ist es leider oft Recht voll. Das Essen ist immer frisch und warm, ich persönlich empfehle die 2 Etage zum Essen dort findet man im Stadttrubel Ruhe und kann die Aussicht über die Volme Galerie genießen.

Der McDonald's war an dem Tag sehr voll, essen war lecker. Da es sehr voll war durften wir auch nach oben gehen ob wohl es zu war da es keine Sitzmöglichkeiten mehr unten gab
