McDonald's in Düren

The McDrive staff and their manager were very unfriendly and unsympathetic. I ordered a Coke and a cheeseburger, but first I received a burger and fries. Then I was told I wasn't listening properly. The manager didn't care at all. I even received my cheeseburger, which was cold. I took it back, and it was simply thrown away. There was no apology. I'll never go there again.

I rarely, if ever, leave reviews, but this branch deserves one. The staff was incredibly unfriendly, barely able to open their mouths and therefore unable to understand us. Our order was completely wrong, and they didn't even apologize. The preparation and appearance of the burgers were an outrage.

The staff was very unfriendly. They can't get anything done with 10 people in the kitchen. Seven of us were waiting for our takeaway food. Then the staff slammed the finished red sausages onto the counter, saying "175, done." I asked, "Is everything okay? Can I leave?" No answer. The other customers watched and turned their heads. Unfriendly and ungrateful.

Here, you get laughed at if you simply expect the standard: namely, a burger assembled in the order it's advertised. I took the burger to the counter and complained, and two men didn't understand what I wanted at all. They just said, "Everything's on there, isn't it?" Yes, but not in the right order. "But that's the one you ordered..." The third woman who chimed in then said, "Does it taste that different then, or what?" The new burger was just as wrong as the first one 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm starting to doubt humanity. I ended up assembling it correctly myself. It seems their own employees haven't seen the documentary about McDonald's that explains the science behind how they assemble these things and that the order is indeed very specific.

The food doesn't agree with me.

Opening hours until 4 a.m., no Sundays or public holidays. Nevertheless, one hour before the official closing time, there's no one there. What more can I say... the store across the street is only open until 1 a.m., but the competent staff there usually stay even later and let people in and order right up until the official closing time.

Since the takeover by Westphal, the service has been nonexistent. The manager himself is at the register, no greeting whatsoever. The place itself was sticky; spilled drinks and dried-on food were a problem. As for the food, my cheeseburger arrived cold, the fries were still half-cooked, and the Coke tasted like it had been treated with cleaning fluid. The fries and cheeseburger were replaced without any apology or anything. The new Coke tasted exactly the same as the first one, like cleaning fluid. Some of the seats were torn and had large holes in them. This never happened under the previous owner. It's a shame; it used to be the best McDonald's in Düren. Only the one in the city center has worse service.

And again, half the order is missing. It's disgusting...

We often stop here when we return from Cologne Airport. The staff are incredibly friendly! I do have to admit, though, that sometimes it's a bit less pleasant and sometimes not so clean. Perhaps this is only the case at night, as I've never been there during the day.

Not a good restaurant. The floor is sticky everywhere, the tables aren't clean, the benches are a mess, and the waitresses seem to have no desire to work. The McRib—I don't know how they manage to get it so mixed up from the counter to the table. It felt like it was being shaken... It's a real shame that, even though it's a fast-food restaurant, you can't eat in anymore.

Anstatt den teureren Himbeertaschen haben wir nur Apfeltaschen erhalten, der Cold Brew war kalter Kaffee mit Eiswürfeln OHNE IRGENDETWAS, obwohl Latte Caramel bestellt wurde. Wheelchair users are NOT welcome at this McDonald's! No parking and NO suitable restrooms. But there are plenty of parking spaces for motorcycles and electric vehicles. Find the mistake.

I have to say it's very clean and the people are great! The staff could be a bit more on the ball, everything else is OK.

The food itself is like usual at McDonald's. But whenever I have a special request, they fail to fulfill it correctly.

To be honest, I'm rather disappointed with this McDonald's. While the cleanliness is generally okay, there's nothing wrong with that, that's almost the only positive aspect. The food regularly takes longer to arrive, whether you order in-store or at the drive-thru. It's particularly annoying that items are often missing from the bag. Especially at the drive-thru, you often don't notice this until later, when you're already on the way. This not only causes frustration, but also raises the question of why orders aren't checked more carefully. The employees are often overwhelmed, especially when things get a bit busier. Stressful situations are part of everyday life in a branch like this, but here you get the impression that things quickly become chaotic. You notice it both in the longer wait times and in the friendliness, which unfortunately often falls by the wayside. The food at this branch isn't particularly tasty either. Sometimes it's lukewarm, sometimes soggy, and overall, the consistent quality you'd expect from McDonald's is lacking. Conclusion: Anyone ordering here should always check the bag before leaving, otherwise you'll be in for a nasty surprise. Personally, the overall package isn't right for me – long wait times, incomplete orders, and rather mediocre taste. There are much better alternatives in the area that are more reliable and customer-friendly.

The rancidest McDonald's in Germany. It easily beats any main train station. You wait behind someone for 20 minutes in the drive-thru, thinking the guy ordered a €100 order, while he gets a mini bag. You can't imagine this; time runs backward here.

It's truly the worst McDonald's there is! They forget something with every order, and not just a mayo or a packet of ketchup. The last three times I've had a meal, the fries were missing. The Happy Meal surprises are terrible. Definitely go somewhere else if you don't want to meticulously check everything every time. It's really no exception. The store was completely filthy, both the dining area and the kitchen. Garbage was flying around behind the counter, and the counters were dirty. There were "leftovers" stuck to the floor and walls of the restrooms. Due to an incorrectly inserted receipt roll, the ordering kiosk wouldn't print a receipt. The shift manager couldn't print a copy of the receipt and refused to give his name or provide a contact address for the franchisee. Completely uncommendable.

Update: Recently, orders have been complete. Update: The last few times, orders have been either incorrect or incomplete. Across the street from Burger King, the order was complete. However, the fries were plain and soggy. The burger, on the other hand, was very good. The drive-thru is spacious. You pay at one cash register, and the food is handed over, neatly packaged, at the next counter.

The restaurant was clean and the service was quick and good.

It's gone so bad. We waited forever. Dirty. We chose a toy at the terminal and then found out no, nothing was left. So we only got a book. It's annoying when the kids are looking forward to it and you can choose one.

We ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. Both tasted absolutely fishy, which is obviously not normal. After we complained, they argued for ages and said that the matcha was supposed to taste like that. Then they offered us a different drink as a replacement, with no refund.

I've had the worst meal at McDonald's in a long time. First, half of my order was missing, then the other half was wrong, and even the burgers weren't the right ones. I'll never go back to this branch again.

We were there as a family with four children and had a large order. The order arrived quickly at the table. Then it turned out that half of it was missing (20 chicken nuggets, the Happy Meals only had fries, the main ingredients were missing everywhere, one Happy Meal was completely missing, and two burgers were missing...). Then the argument started, which was completely unnecessary because there's a clear receipt that lists everything...since we were sitting at the table, it was also clear who had what and what didn't...outrageous!!! Two annoyed employees then tried to figure out what wasn't there, apologizing neither for the missing items nor for the unjustified discussion...I've never experienced anything like that!!!

I went to that disgusting McDonald's today, ate a simple hamburger – and less than 30 minutes later, I was lying down with severe stomach pain and nausea. A short time later, I threw up. My body couldn't even keep it down. If your food literally wants to come out before it's even been digested, then there's something wrong with you. This isn't fast food; this is a case for the food inspectorate. Hygiene? Inspection? Quality? None. I honestly hope someone takes a closer look at this place soon – because anyone who serves this to people shouldn't have a license to sell food. A pure health hazard. I was last here. Health risk! Absolutely disgusting and irresponsible. I went to this McDonald's today and only ate a hamburger – and now I'm sitting here with severe stomach pain and nausea. How can such a simple product cause such physical discomfort? Honestly: This is a health risk, not food. The burger was disgusting – the bun was soggy, the meat tasted old and greasy, as if it had been sitting in a warming box for hours. It had zero freshness, zero quality. After the first bite, I already had a bad feeling – and unfortunately, my body proved me right. If an international company doesn't even have the basics right and you end up in bed with pain afterward, you should seriously think about hygiene, storage, and preparation. This restaurant is dead for me – and I would advise anyone not to touch any food there. Better to stay hungry than have something like that happen again!

The atmosphere was nice, but it could be cleaned better. Service was good. One meal arrived very quickly, another took a long time. One burger wrapper was half-open. The food was warm.

I got chicken nuggets here in June 25 instead of regular nuggets, and unfortunately, I only noticed the damage on the second one when I threw up, due to the smell and texture. My complaint was initially dismissed, and after I loudly insisted on a settlement, the employees reluctantly agreed. No apology or anything like that. Since I wanted to get a coffee today and the smell made me sick again, I unfortunately had to leave without it.

The McDonald's in the Great Valley is the worst there is. Orders are incorrect. Incorrect orders are simply completed. No new burger. The breakfast burger was ordered with egg and meat. Ordered a cheeseburger play. The pickle and onions were scraped off the cheeseburger instead of being freshly prepared. I called home and complained. The waiter simply hung up.

Especially as someone coming from Türkiye, it is very good to have a waiter at McDonald's. The meat and chicken are much better than in Turkey, the bread and potatoes are fresh as they should be. The prices are reasonable and there are promotions.

Unfortunately the uncleanest and most unsightly branch I have ever seen. Unfortunately, the tables here are not washed regularly; the employees walk past them. Unfortunately the facility is also broken. According to my wife, the women's toilets were very dirty and had no toilet paper.

We just ordered 6 cheeseburgers at the drive in. They kept coming back with chicken burgers. Complained several times and we were cheekily told again and again that we had ordered chicken burgers, although by chance we had the order on a voice message and you could also hear the employee saying 6 cheeseburgers. In response to this statement, stupid comments were made again and said the mistake was ours. Unfortunately, none of the employees there could speak German properly today. Very rude behavior. Wait 20 minutes for food. Tables dirty, fries taste like cardboard. The service made fun of me when I pointed out that my Minecraft menu didn't contain the collectible figure, but rather a children's toy from the Happy Meal. This was then exchanged. The same thing happened to my colleague, only they no longer had the collectible figures. Toilets were narrow and not lockable. The urinals looked okay. But then there were no paper towels.

Received the wrong Minecraft toy instead of the collectible figure I ordered, unfriendly service, missing napkins, terribly tasting fries and narrow, non-lockable toilets make the experience in this shed unbearable.

The order was taken incorrectly instead of the Hamburger Royal TS menu, my son and I were given a McPlant menu. No napkins, no ketchup and no mayonnaise. Today we ordered food to take away from the drive in. The Happy Meal included a small fries and a cheeseburger, nothing else! No toys, no fruit squeezer, no sauce, the additionally ordered cheeseburger was also missing, as was the specially ordered curry sauce. The staff should be better trained. If a sauce is missing you would ignore it, but if half the order is missing it is more than annoying. The child was more than disappointed because the Happy Meal made her anything but happy.
