In a wonderful location, right next to the Cathedral in Dom Square, you can enjoy a delicious meal. The portions are generously sized and the atmosphere is spacious. You can easily order from the kiosk.

Disappointing McDonald’s Experience On November 8, 2025, around 2:00 PM, I placed order number 160 – a hot chocolate and an apple turnover pie. Unfortunately, the restaurant was completely overcrowded, and the staff couldn't cope with the large number of customers. My order code disappeared from the screen, and I couldn't find my hot chocolate and pie. After a long search, I was given the wrong pie – chocolate-colored and with a different filling. The order process was chaotic and took almost an hour; I didn't receive it until around 3:00 PM. I am very dissatisfied with the service and hope that the processes and organization will improve.

The food was delicious, but it took 35 minutes for a single burger to arrive. I politely asked after 10 and 30 minutes, but they just kept saying it wasn't ready yet and didn't take any action. I had no choice but to wait patiently while everyone else who had ordered before me took theirs. The staff all looked angry and unfriendly. I'll never go back, and if you don't want to ruin your trip, don't go.

The slowest McDonald's I've ever been to, and the worst of them all. I've been waiting for a McFlurry for about 40 minutes, and every time I go to the counter to ask, they tell me, "Sorry, it's still being prepared." It's just ice cream.

My phone had no power and no Wi-Fi. Okay, all the power outlets were broken. The waiter spoke in Polish. We know everything's broken, no power... and when I asked about the Wi-Fi, he said nothing, the Wi-Fi's broken too... and the waiters at the counter were talking nonsense. This is a restaurant, not an office. What do you need Wi-Fi for, etc.? It can break down, okay. But it being broken for months is unacceptable.

The inside is very dirty; I had terrible diarrhea after eating there, never again.

It's usually overcrowded, as it's a good place to eat near the cathedral. Unfortunately, the service is poor. For example, orders were mixed up. Also, the restroom cost money and the floor was sticky.

I had low expectations, which were still way too high. You walk in, no matter what time it is, and it's always filthy inside, as if no one has cleaned it in two weeks. Customers leave everything lying around, so you have to clear a table yourself before you can eat. Aside from the kitchen, there's no service. There's no table service, and you end up waiting for 20 minutes, not knowing that no one will come. Because it's so crowded, it's always very loud, and some people seem to have never heard of personal hygiene. Unfortunately, the food got cold from the long wait, but it tastes just like most average McDonald's. Order takeout, even if it's raining outside; you can't really stand being inside for long.

The African male sitting in front of the toilet treats us in a discriminating way, being racist, sexist, and LGBT-unfriendly. The young women serving the food are very nice, attentive, and multilingual.

We were in this MC tonight and all the tables were very dirty, even mice under the table and when I told the staff they started laughing and said that was normal....0 stars simply disgusting

I ate there in July. The place is relatively small and a bit dirty, so we had to clean our spot. The order didn't take long, but unfortunately it was cold. The best thing about this location is undoubtedly the view when you leave.

Second, the place is dirty and chaotic, no one cleans anything, the floor is sticky, and the tables are dirty. Third, they poured me half a cappuccino—more foam than coffee. When I asked them to fix it, they simply took the receipt and said, "Goodbye." Horrible place, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We were at this branch on October 23, 2025, around 8-9 p.m. Everything was incredibly dirty, the floor was sticky, and there were cans and trash on the tables and floor. I cleaned our table myself. The man at the restroom entrance was extremely rude and complained to McDonald's customers. Honestly, McDonald's: We were customers in the branch and still have to put up with the restroom attendant complaining to us. If he's going to take money, the restroom should at least be clean. I think he's not there to clean, but only to take payments. It's worth mentioning that we were begged for money three times during our visit. We definitely won't be eating there again on our next visit to Cologne.

The floor was sticky, and I couldn't find a single table that wasn't smeared with smudges. This was early in the morning, when there were fewer than 10 guests in the restaurant. I couldn't understand why they weren't cleaning the empty tables. The tray return was also full and seemed to have not been emptied in a while.

I got kicked out because i come at 4am (McDonald) closing at 5am, everyone said they are already closed, doors open, signs saying closing 5am,but staff force you out way before 5am, simply for a reason that they clean everything before end of the shirt

The restaurant's rating is accurate. The fries are edible, cold and limp. They didn't even include a single napkin with my two Big Macs. And to make matters worse, a man is pestering the cashier for a cheeseburger. Right in front of the staff. Horrible place. McDonald's is going downhill.

Worst service ever, a really long wait, which I can understand since it was an international match—23 minutes for a simple burger—but the service was very unfriendly and overwhelmed. They were also very rude to many of the customers (who weren't tipsy) who had only politely asked how long their order would take (because of the train). My chicken wrap was only half filled and the burgers messy. A employee tryed to "hold on" too the phone of my partner without concent, treathen to call the police when confronted about it, and a random person sat by the toilets asking for money to gain excess. This place is running pure on the location as all other services fail.

We had a really great dinner. There are two parks for girls and boys.

Two adults and two children ordered, and two people delivered our order on two trays before leaving immediately (it was very busy). I realized a hamburger was missing. I went to see someone who said okay. After a while, without a response, I asked her if I should go somewhere to get the missing sandwich. She replied very aggressively that I should have reported it as soon as the tray arrived on the table and that it was too late. I didn't understand her aggressive tone or why she hadn't told me the first time I asked her. Given the speed at which the two trays were delivered in front of us, we couldn't have checked at the same time if the order was complete. In short, a bad experience and a hamburger paid for but not served.

Is it normal for a burger to be missing from a meal? Half the staff works extremely slowly and ignores queues of over 20 people waiting for their orders. We received a takeout order with two meals, and one burger was simply not wrapped! Unfortunately, we didn't check it on the spot and only noticed it when we got home. This is simply a disaster, no service! Check your orders immediately or, better yet, don't even bother going. We waited over 35 minutes for our order!

Complaint Today I was very upset about my visit to McDonald's. For the first time, I had to wait 41 minutes for my order. I ordered two plain breakfast burgers at 9:58 a.m. and didn't receive them until 10:41 a.m. The staff worked extremely slowly and chatted among themselves the entire time. I approached the shift manager (a man with glasses) three times and asked for faster service. He simply told us to wait. There were about 10 other customers who, like me, had to wait a very long time. Even after my order was taken, the employee didn't apologize, didn't provide me with napkins, and didn't offer any compensation or gesture of regret. Even at expensive restaurants, I've never had to wait more than half an hour for my food. Therefore, I'm forced to leave a bad review and cannot recommend this restaurant.

I highly recommend not going to this McDonald's for several reasons. Firstly, it's just an awfully huge crowd of people, it's almost impossible to sit down, I was lucky enough to be able to sit in a seat near the window to see the cathedral, but this was more of an accident. Secondly, due to the large influx of people, my order simply disappeared, I waited more than 40 minutes, although the order was not large, and of course they did not add sauce to me. And again, due to the large influx of people, just going to change it becomes a problem. So if you order, know that you will wait a long time and it is not a fact that in the end you will receive exactly what you ordered. For this reason, I recommend always choosing McDonald's away from the city center.

The only plus is that the food is of standard McDonald's quality, but it was unpleasant to eat inside because of the unsanitary conditions. We stayed here after visiting the Christmas market in December 2023. The rösti burger was amazing and the service was quick even though it was busy.

The guy who's in front of the restrooms and "cleans" almost kicked out those who weren't in the restroom (but were still waiting and wanted to go) (so that they ultimately couldn't go to the restroom either).
