McDonald's in Köln

Hello, I traveled a long way to meet my partner. The food was excellent, as expected, but I was very disappointed to find that there was no slide in this establishment. I couldn't go down the slide or even have any fun. This disappointed me and my partner a lot. We'll find another McDonald's to go down the slide and let our inner child out. The store is completely filthy. The restrooms are unacceptable.

We waited 30 minutes for our food, received the wrong drinks, and the sauces were forgotten. Very poor service!

I bought a Filet-o-Fish at McDonald's in Cologne.

We ordered 3 hamburgers, what we received was not what we ordered. The drink received was not the right one either. We wanted to order 4 desserts, the staff did not want to go to the dessert counter, we left without dessert. Bad staff. I do not recommend.

Table service was discontinued despite sufficient staffing; small orders took 40 minutes at medium capacity.

I was there on Tuesday and ordered a combined MC Smart Menu and Happy Meal. The next day, I felt very sick and went to the emergency room. They told me I had life-threatening poisoning.

Fast service and fresh food. BUT I have to address one thing. How can the faucet be mounted like this on such a large sink? It's completely unacceptable. Please try it yourself—it's hard to wash in there.

No toilet paper, and no one cares to call. Coffee is only served in cardboard, even though cups are available. So much for sustainability.

The food was okay, but the employees were very unmotivated; they served the food while playing on their phones. The tablet carts throughout the restaurant were completely overflowing, but no employee seemed to mind. A drink fell over in front of the counter, which certainly wasn't wiped up during my visit. I think a few more employees would do the place a world of good! Also, the air conditioning should be turned on; it was incredibly warm in the place!

3 things were missing from our order.

I don't know why the reviews are so bad. We were here on August 16, 2025, and everything was clean, tasty, and quiet. We originally drove in from the Autobahn and found it cleaner here than on the Autobahn.

Totally overwhelmed and everything given out wrong via Mc Drive

The toilets are dirty, I was skipped as a customer. And three children were given priority. My food was cold.

Unfortunately, the service is very slow and very uncoordinated. In order to officially meet the times, they are already marked as finished...the main thing is that it officially kicks off.

Nice, very friendly staff, especially to our daughter. The burgers from the McDonald's Around the World promotion were tasty, something different, but a bit overpriced. Table service was great, and we didn't have to wait long for our order. All in all, definitely one of the better McDonald's branches around. There's plenty of parking, and there's a drive-thru. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again.

I can recommend the place itself, but they could try to pay more attention to hygiene. Some of the seats were still a bit dirty and we unfortunately had to wait a bit longer for our order, but otherwise everything was great.

I've NEVER experienced an order like this at a McDrive before. I ordered four burgers. One was missing the bottom bun, and two other bottom buns were burnt. Unfortunately, we didn't notice until 15 minutes later.

Absolutely not a recommendation. All the trash cans are overflowing, there's trash on half the tables, puddles of drinks, the order is incomplete... sorry McDonald's, but that was nothing!

This is my first review, and only because it's truly the worst McDonald's I've ever known. The air conditioning must be irreparably damaged, as it hasn't worked for a very long time. It's 30 degrees outside and even warmer inside. The drive-thru is constantly out of stock and there are long waits. For the second time, the drinks aren't carbonated. You're better off driving two kilometers to the next McDonald's.

The food is exactly what you'd expect: hectic, unmotivated burgers thrown together. The absolute insult is the lack of air conditioning! The franchisor's new business model: Come and collapse in our restaurants. System catering with a difference!

Really dirty food was already ordered

I love this McCes. :) The staff is always so friendly, and I always find the food delicious, even compared to other branches or similar chains. If McCes, then this is it. ☺️

In my opinion, this McDonald's has a problem with the friendliness (especially in their tone) of the staff. I felt more like an annoying visitor than a customer. It's a shame. I'm usually a happy, albeit not frequent, McDonald's customer. You can usually get decent food quickly and easily.

Got fillet fish order and was given to me with in 2 minutes cold food provided . 1st mcdonald's worse food ever Date 26.05.25 Around Time 21.00 I felt like eating microwave food the fish felt like cooked hours earlier. Improvement needed

Super lame 👎 I'm writing this because I'm bored in the McDrive line. It takes forever, and there are only two or three cars in front of me.

It was very tasty but I think the prices are now exaggerated because I can get a large pizza at the pizzeria for the same amount of money and am full afterwards and a kebab costs less and also fills me up but after the McDonald's meal I am hungry again shortly afterwards

If you like unfriendly staff, stale food, and stuffy air, then Marsdorf is the place for you. The only employee who ever had a friendly word to say spoke with an Indian accent; I have no idea if he even still works there. Instead, you'll often get a lot of rude comments, even if the fault clearly lies with the staff. Customer service? None. The food usually seems like it's from yesterday, if not the day before. Cleanliness? Only if you close your eyes. And the air conditioning? It broke over a year ago, and guess what: there's still no difference. In summer, the restaurant is more like a sauna. My tip: Save yourself the hassle and drive 2-3 minutes further to Frechen. There you'll ALWAYS find FRIENDLY staff, FRESH food, and a CLEAN shop!

We waited 25 minutes at the McDrive and then got the wrong food, so we had to wait again... I had even gone to the trouble of ordering and paying via the app beforehand. What a bummer... Plus, the employee keeps scrunching up their noses, which completely ruins your appetite. Once and never again...

Food ok, just too expensive. Service ok, friendly. Ambience, tables and seats were very dirty. We had to find a clean table and seating ourselves. We weren't there at peak time.

When the outside temperature is 28 degrees, the air conditioning inside is apparently defective and the parasols outside are not open, so you sit in the blazing sun. The kitchen workers wipe their sweat with their hands and prepare the food. Bon appetit 🫣🤷🏽‍♀️🫩 Disgusting

It's completely okay if you have to wait a little longer for your order during peak times. Unfortunately we had to wait almost 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the fries were no longer hot and the french fries weren't as fresh either. The tray trolleys were full, making it difficult to return the used tray. At least the toilets were reasonably clean. I would avoid this restaurant during normal busy times. Certainly the assessment would be different if one were to visit the restaurant at a different time.

So...... This evening I waited four minutes at the drive-thru ordering station and then drove back because no one was interested! However, I have often noticed this McDonald's negatively in recent years. Be it staff, missing parts of the order or extremely poor friendliness, everything was unsatisfactory at least once. I once complained to McDonald's myself, but no one was interested....🤷🏻

Unfortunately it's not fresh when you order something in the evening. Nuggets are simply thrown into the deep fryer again, even though they have been lying around for a long time. You can taste that. I worked at mc myself and know the tricks. I definitely won't go there anymore.

The food is always freshly prepared👍 The service here depends on the day, so when I asked to order at the counter, this order counter was recommended to me. But I want to order here at the counter... why are you blind? I didn't get an answer to my answer YES. The alleged branch management was just as cheeky and underexposed as the service catastrophe at the beginning. Not a word of apology or anything like that. Sad MC DONALDS really underground.

My father only had one wish. A fries. I ordered a menu and that was exactly what was missing. You can't even imagine the disappointed face. Especially since I then had to chew him out and I felt really bad about it. His mood was correspondingly bad and I couldn't enjoy my food either. I live far away and couldn't even drive back. After I complained about this in writing, a week later I was offered a large French fry as compensation. I then have to call the branch to do this. The whole thing is very complicated. So I get the fries that I already paid for and didn't receive. So I can come pick up my own fries. That's probably the minimum. This is not customer service. This is just a joke. Despite multiple reasons and regular orders, I have never complained about anything, but then receiving this offer really disappointed me. Everything that belongs in the bag is already on the monitor and they can't even count out three items before handing them over. I'm very surprised, to say the least. They won't see me again anytime soon after the offer.

The employees are simply very unfriendly as soon as you have ordered they don't want to talk at all or answer questions but just give out what you ordered and that's it. Sometimes you have questions and I expect my questions to be answered

Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, the staff jostles you and then doesn't apologize. That makes a really great impression. Then you'd better go somewhere else 😊

I have rarely experienced such incompetent and unfriendly employees. Sometimes something isn't there, which happens when you order it in the app. But the fact that you can't be friendly and that the second order doesn't work is embarrassing. Maybe the CEO will rethink the staff.

After eating Pommes Fries I had problems with my stomach.

Incredibly bad service, the staff at the counter (several people) are not trained at all, completely incompetent and barely understand German. I wanted to order but they were unable to enter the menu and claimed that the menu didn't exist even though it was written large on the price board. The restaurant managers are to blame for letting such staff loose on the customers and not training the people!

The new M tastes great. It was nice that we were served food. Feel free to serve the fries hot next time.

Well, McDonald's. Unfortunately the food wasn't as warm as usual. However, the MC Café is highly recommended. You can always find good coffee there.

It's unbelievable how incompetent you can be in a single store. Checking the order is more than mandatory. Then you make the customer wait in the store until you can get to the ordering machine and then personally point out to them that card payment is not possible in the store. Maybe you should send the entire staff to intensive training. This branch will definitely not see me again in the next few years. A clear recommendation is to drive a few meters further into Frechen

Dear McDonald's, if your food is as it looks in your store, you shouldn't be surprised that at 12 o'clock only two people are eating in the store... The floor is sticky with dirt, grease and soap, the tables are smeared and sticky, that sort of thing I've never seen a fast food restaurant before. Shame on you... Tables are still not cleaned regularly

We ordered and sat down, all three of the fries were super cold and still raw, full of fat...Burgers were freshly grilled but the rolls were also unfortunately cold, not even the book from the happy meal was properly packed. Ambience very cold.

The shop was clean, unfortunately there was no table service via the terminal as there were no signs, but it was possible via the app. Food was delicious

I was there on October 15th, 2024 and ordered two smart menus, one with a cheeseburger and one with a chickenburger. Now I have samonella poisoning from the chickenburgers. Food as expected at McDonald's. Staff really really friendly! Unfortunately the shop was very dirty. Tables were all sticky and slobbered on and the floor was so sticky that it even stuck to the soles of my shoes. Afterwards, I was basically stuck to the floor in a department store and had to wipe the soles of my shoes with a damp cloth. Really nasty...

Just been there for breakfast. Super bad service, annoyed employees who take their mood out on the customers and unfortunately extremely slow. I had to wait over half an hour for 3 pieces, which ended up being cold. One of the 3 things ordered was also wrong. When asked if I could please get my order correct, I was yelled at and had to keep the wrong food. Something definitely needs to be done here in terms of personnel!!!!

Although quite empty (this early, 9:30) the shift manager was overwhelmed and unfriendly (?). Yes, you can ignore a customer at the coffee counter, not return a greeting and let them stand there for 5 minutes before you get a pressed "you can't order there either, you have to go to the other checkout" when asked. But you only do it once... Friendliness is a prerequisite for service. At least the colleague was friendly. Cleanliness of the toilet was poor (disgustingly sticky floor), the rest was ok (outside).

Spicy chicken nuggets were dried out and had probably been lying around for hours. A cheeseburger was forgotten. Fries are usually lightly salted and soft.

The food was typical MC's but fresh and hot! There was always tidying up, cleaning and sweeping... I was really amazed!

The quality varies, the meat is old and has only been re-topped and the lettuce is wilted. The toilet dirty and unkempt. The guest room is also dirty and unkempt. The floor in the entire guest room is dirty, stuck together and disgusting.

1 star too many The Oreo ice cream was definitely from yesterday because it looked like vomit. I said that I didn't want it mixed. Once again the order for pickup (pre-ordered online) is not complete. Simply incompetent and a waste of money. Of course, customer service is also not available, then probably no longer McDonald's. There are alternatives right around the corner.

I just had a McMorning. The store is very well managed. My kids also liked the slide, which is more special than the usual McDonald's. It felt good when the manager-looking person in the shirt said, "Have a nice day." The workers also wipe the tables and clean the floors, and they look diligent. I think it's because I'm in business. There is no air conditioning on, it is hotter inside than outside and it is 35 degrees, but they do have it on. They put the food on the table like a dog. They bring you the ice cream with the food without asking

I've never experienced anything so terrible. The nuggets and the fries were soaked in fat/oil and smelled terrible. In the evening I and others complained of stomach cramps. Vomiting.Sick for 3 days. I hope the health department comes by here soon.

Staff rude and patronizing when they don't get the order right. Had a hair in the food. The range is almost never complete. How can you run down a McDonald's like that? Better go to the one on Aachener Straße, they are much friendlier and more hygienic

One of the dirtiest branches I have experienced during my Mcs visits. Tuesday evening, around 9:15 p.m. The majority of the seating areas (over half of the restaurant) were blocked off by cleaning supplies & chairs, meaning no use was possible and only a small area was left for seating. The tables that were free were completely dirty and unusable. This time again, the staff only spoke in their own foreign language, and the conversations between each other were not interrupted, not even to hand over the menu. It felt like you were talking so loudly in your own language so that everyone could hear it. Burger was ok, fries too soft and over salted... but you have to accept that here... after all, I'm here "voluntarily". Table service was also stopped, presumably to save themselves the work. They couldn't give me any real information as to why this is no longer possible. We will still try to avoid this branch.

Dirty and disgusting. Apparently the floor had never been mopped here, the toilets were extremely dirty and the tables and benches had leftovers and grease stains from visitors. Disgusting. Here you can hire someone who does nothing other than cleaning. I don't come here anymore.

This is not the first time that several items were missing from an order. Always check. Or better yet: go to another branch

No better or worse than other branches. But the staff could be a little friendlier. What is disturbing is that statistics are probably being optimized here, as the collection number is already set to ready for collection, even though it is clear that the preparation has not yet started. That's annoying.

I can only agree with most people here. It's 6/30/24 8:24 a.m. Tables and seating dirty. Food was lukewarm, bacon and cheese toast was just fired into the bag. Staff only speak their local language. I was here last time

Classic McDonald's franchise. However!! Mostly bad-tempered employees, Fast service when it comes to food, unless the person who speaks the least German makes the drive-in counter. We all know THAT! The employees are (sometimes) not afraid to pack the burgers correctly, on the tray, let alone serve the fries half full or even cold. However, if it is mentioned, the service is still friendly and serves freshly! The tables and benches are not cleaned at regular intervals or, rather, cleaned appropriately to the number of guests... It seems to me that there is no real leader at work in this establishment, but rather a form of self-management, although the location of the restaurant has a lot of potential! All in all, this house is actually too nice a cozy corner for this type of food preparation. The staff is alternately good or bad, but pretty bad 2/3 of the time. So don't expect anything if you want to be well served! Squire 4 -

Unfortunately I didn't get the complete MC Drive order, 2x6 chicken nuggets were missing, but there were 2 packs more sauce! Complaints cannot be made over the phone because no one answers the phone either 🤬😡 Update: There was a very friendly employee on the phone who promptly took care of my complaint. The missing packages were promptly delivered.

Underground, I'll never go here again! Very dirty and unfriendly. Food doesn't taste good either. I want my money back!!!
