McDonald's in Köln

Not very clean. I only ordered a drink.

I ordered a vegan burger (they recently had a vegan option). They told me they couldn't give me anything. They would only give me fries if I paid in cash. Card payment wasn't possible. That's unacceptable and discriminatory.

The fries and burger were very fresh and still warm. I asked for salt, but they only gave me one salt packet even though we ordered a lot and one salt packet isn't enough.

When it comes to hamburgers, I go to Burger King (or somewhere else). When it comes to ice cream, McDonald's McSunday is good. Especially with double caramel sauce. This time they actually made double caramel, and for that, it gets 5 stars.

I went to McDonald's again after a long time. I ordered a Hamburger Royal Cheese. The entire inside of the packaging was smeared with ketchup. It looked disgusting... You know what you're getting yourself into, but this is just awful.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is just incredibly frustrating. I ordered something small and sweet at McDonald's using the app and went to the checkout to pay in cash. The cashier was unfriendly and totally unmotivated, or perhaps she hadn't been properly trained. She gave me the wrong order and then mixed it up with another customer's! Sure, mistakes happen, but when I asked for the receipt, she first gave me the wrong one and then couldn't even manage to use the machine to print the correct one! For crying out loud, we don't have all the time in the world! Train your staff before you send them to the register!

At 2:46 AM, the right side of the shop was completely blocked off and all the chairs were stacked up... The shop was packed, people were standing around everywhere because all the tables were occupied... Despite asking, they wouldn't open the right side – apparently, people might be able to eat standing up... Absolutely appalling...

I ordered vegan chicken nuggets and received regular ones. That's not okay! Imagine if I'd been allergic. We don't even want to think about what would have happened!

Was I somewhere in Africa? This didn't look like Germany. It's a shame Germany is deteriorating so much.

A chain restaurant where you can fill your stomach in Cologne station, advantageous for eating and catching the train without leaving the station

I always eat an M Burger when I go to McDonald's. Unfortunately, the quality of the bun at this location was significantly worse than at other locations; the burger fell apart very quickly. What a shame.

Yesterday, I was at mccs around 3:10 p.m. I placed my order as usual and then ordered the shaker nuggets and fries, and what was missing? Exactly the shaker powder for both, even though the lady, who absolutely had to take her break, kept staring at the cash register the whole time. This isn't the first time! I'm going to be jealous of this store; it's just not acceptable! Hiring more competent employees would be good. 😺

Saturday evening at 10 p.m. Very attentive security. Good food, and all in all, highly recommended.

On Friday, October 10, we went to this McDonald's. We placed an order, but couldn't check if everything was wrapped properly because we had to rush to catch the train. In the end, the burger wasn't wrapped, the salad dressing was wrong, and apparently, this McDonald's doesn't sell straws anymore. Sorry, but how can you make three mistakes in such a small order? How can you just forget a burger??? In the end, we couldn't eat anything and were left hungry—but we still paid 👍

Paid for 3 burgers, was served 1 and they said that's what you get for disrespecting staff, ordered using computer screen. Did not even had a chance to talk to staff.... Couldn't imagine worse experience

It's common for people to forget to pack something, or you get something different than what you ordered. So please always double-check to make sure you really got what you ordered.

It is located at the train station, hence all the inconveniences, such as many people, queues, but the staff tries, the security guards chase away suspicious people. It happens much worse

Even by McDonald's standards, it's terrible. Ordered at night. Received food in a bag. Asked if I could have a tray, as I was eating in. The answer: "They don't have trays at this time of day." If you can't have one, don't bother. The fact that the restaurant is open at ungodly hours is its entire unique selling proposition…

There's a random guy asking for money for when you're going to the toilet. Other than that, it's a standard Mcdonald's. Food is fine, but the atmosphere is very "Ghetto" for a Mcdonald's next to a busy tourist spot at a major city.

Always very crowded and loud, but that's the atmosphere of the main station, which you try to escape a little here. Which isn't really possible, as the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The employees are often overwhelmed during large customer rushes; my order, for example, was once completely mixed up, and longer waits are inevitable. You definitely need a long suit and plenty of time here.

Absolute disaster! If you want to pay in cash, you have to wait at least 15 minutes for an employee. I ordered a McSmart meal one day and got one burger instead of two! The burgers were nasty and definitely from the day before. There was one employee who only spoke English, but was still very friendly. But I still wanted to buy two cheeseburgers for the homeless and had to wait 30 minutes. It's a disgrace! Go to the LP10 kebab shop next door instead!

I arrived today around 5:30 in the morning with my friends and fell asleep. The security told me that I couldn't sleep, after that I just put my head in my hands on the table and the security started to kick me out, then I immediately went through another entrance, ordered coffee and waited for my order, while I waited for my order I sat down again and again but I didn't sleep, my check started demanding me, I showed them, they made me coffee and I started pouring sugar with coffee cream, when I did that the guards started pushing me and because of this I poured coffee on myself and the security guard started threatening me.

I’m surprised it’s only 2.7 on Google maps, because generally it’s good, especially the speed of service. Even if there’re many people waiting, you can get you food just in 5min. Really fast. But the environment is not very nice, a bit dirty on the floor.

The security guard pushes me to the checkout, even though I didn't have time to choose what I wanted in the app, and the cashier doesn't know if they have a latte with lactose-free milk... complete disappointment.

It was my first time in germany and i can say my experience was ruined due to one of your employees attempting to snatch my phone out of my hand and steal it. As well in the toilets are random people demanding money to use them, i almost paid one when i realized they wernt wearing a mcdonalds uniform and no one seems to care. I made a scene as the employee was man handling me trying to rip my phone out my hand and a manager came out and begged me to keep my mouth shut. Got some free chips out of it for my troubles. Literally this is the worst mcdonalds ive ever been to ajd would highly not recommend. I have footage of this attempted robbery but this particular location doesnt allow you to post video evidence in fear of damaging their reputation. Seriously mcdonalds how are you allowing this insanity. I understand youre going to get the custom regardless being in city centre but this takes the cake for worst experience ever in a food establishment.

For a McDonald's at the train station, it's perfectly fine

Truly the worst Maccies ever! I'm surprised that Lieferando works with such incompetence. They're not even capable of delivering within 3 km! Absolutely unacceptable! And of course, the phone number doesn't work either. But I was debited and paid – for nothing!

A very unfriendly employee in her mid-40s and wearing glasses. She took the wrong order and didn't give me the right one. As a result, I had to pay twice, even though the cashier was at fault.

Many thanks to this McDonald's! My phone was almost completely dead, and I found myself in a very unpleasant situation. Here, they offered to charge it—and it truly saved my day. It's great that the restaurant pays attention to such little things that can be a huge help to guests. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly. Highly recommended!

A normal McDonald's. However, the staff was sometimes overwhelmed. First, I paid, then my order was forgotten, and it was only placed after I asked. Finding a seat was rather difficult, and the ordering machines mostly didn't work.

The burger was very sticky and had a sad topping. There were no straws with the drinks; they were all gone. The seats were dirty. The price was far too high for the portions. A huge disappointment. The only positive thing was the very short wait.

A ridiculously dirty store. Admittedly, it was 3:40 a.m., just before closing time, but no one had cleaned up for hours. Cleaning carts were scattered around, and trash was piled up on tables where no one was sitting. Worst store yet.

Employee only makes a burger in Mc smart menu and then screams.

The opening hours stated they were open until 4:00 AM. We arrived at 12:30 AM, and one person was allowed ahead of us before an employee held up a sign and told us they were closed. Over three hours before closing time. Considering that people were even more dependent on the store today because all the trains were canceled, this is unacceptable.

The boat temperature is 32 degrees Celsius, and the air conditioning is broken, and we don't know about it. All McDonald's restaurants in Germany are dirty and unclean, lacking air conditioning and clean tables and floors.

The new Sour Dragon Tongue McFlurry tastes really delicious, but the amount of ice cream is disappointing. I wouldn't buy it again for €4 due to the portion size!

I've been waiting for 10 minutes for my 1,000 points code to be verified. Absolutely disgusting! After waiting 10 minutes at the checkout, all I got was "only this one today" while the lady pointed to a coupon booklet. What a waste of my 1,000 points that I've saved up over the last six months! My food was cold and the food I paid for was missing. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got to the train. My Chicken Big Mac was missing. The staff were unfriendly and in a bad mood. There were a lot of people inside who weren't even eating or drinking anything, but were blocking the customers' seats. In the future, I'll go back to McDonald's in Messe Deutz; I haven't had any problems like this before.

The food is standard and consistent as you’d expect from McDonald’s, but the overall atmosphere was less inviting than usual. The presence of a patrolling security guard gave it more of an airport or high-security vibe rather than a casual eatery. It made the experience feel a bit intense and rushed, rather than relaxed. Fine for a quick bite, but not the most comfortable spot to sit and enjoy your meal.

I called and asked: “Am I at McDonald’s?” and they just hung up on me.

I've been passing by here regularly for about two years when changing trains. Over the last six months, the quality has declined dramatically. Products are constantly missing or a burger is cold. Complaining always leads to arguments.

Where do I begin? It resembles a prison cafeteria, with guards patrolling up and down to ensure exhausted travelers don't get any rest. Security? More like slave drivers! Plus, you're regularly evicted because one of the employees absolutely has to clean! And to top it all off, all the doors and windows are kept open, so that the travelers quickly become critically cold.

Mc without wc, schaize….. Wc only in trainstation for 1,5 euro….

Overall, it's a relatively well-kept establishment. It's a shame, however, that you can't redeem rewards with the app. If you try to redeem a reward at a terminal, the terminal freezes, and you can no longer use it. A notice about this would be helpful.

Nice staff, but the burger was really bad (lukewarm, undercooked) and I've never had such flabby, soft curly fries in my life :(( it's a real shame, but I was really looking forward to the Kaulitz menu and the curly fries .....

I’m really disappointed with my recent visit to McDonald’s. I specifically asked for my burger without sauce, but instead I got one that was dripping with sauce — and strangely, the lettuce wasn’t even inside the burger, it was just thrown next to it in the box. The burger itself didn’t taste good at all and seemed undercooked. Definitely a point for management to review, because the quality was far below what I expected.

Was there with my mother in a wheelchair. The employee immediately asked if he should make us a seat at a table. After we said no and asked how quickly our food would be ready because of the train, he made sure that we received our food AND got the train. Thanks for the nuggets, you were my hero tonight

We threw your burger away because it smelled like it was dead and unfortunately I ate one and puked.

I visited this McDonald’s at night, and despite the late hour, it was fully crowded. I tried ordering through my phone using coupons, but I struggled a lot to get them accepted. After some effort, I figured out how it worked, but most of the time, the system kept saying the coupons were not accepted. When the food finally arrived, it was just okay—not as I had expected. Overall, the experience was disappointing. The service was not acceptable, and the staff did not treat customers well. Because of this, I can only give one star.

What kind of scam is this? Why don't they have the same machines as every other McD? Why can you only pay with a card and not redeem coupons?

There is a price offer hanging in the entrance that will not be honored. “The poster is old and will be hung up”. It's still hanging. A case for consumer protection.

Ambiance: More people who “just” sit to escape the cold. Service: At 6:30 a.m. there is only breakfast. The lady at the counter says that between 6:00 and 10:30 there is only breakfast. Unfortunately, this contradicts the McDonald's display. Here you can clearly see that breakfast is only offered from 7:00 a.m. Eat: Cannot be rated based on the experience under “Service”. The only burger from McDonalds I have ever qualified as good is from this place. Evidently, it is in a train station, rush hours and weekends you can expect to be a little messy and I may take some time to get your order.

I have found that in about 90% of visits to fast food restaurants, including McDonald's, the staff are not particularly friendly. If the employees are not friendly, it may indicate that the job is not being done well overall, which can negatively impact the quality of the food. Friendly and dedicated service is crucial to a better experience and higher quality food

It's just pathetic how much the "big" companies have cut back. Service is there here, but since the counter is fully loaded with bags, no one from the staff knows which customer it was, always popular at the train station when people want the connections. I definitely do not recommend this McDonalds store!!! Not only is this store dirty - no! I processed the order completely incorrectly. I ordered a burger without onions. And what did I get?! Burger with onions. Have you ever thought that there is a good reason why you don't want onions with it? These were deselected (terminal). I was spoken to in an unfriendly manner at the pick-up station. Sorry but the store is crap, in my experience! Never again! The only advantage is the central location.
