McDonald's in Köln

Extremely unfriendly employees and staff. I saw them arguing with customers yesterday! I don't understand why they work there if they can't pack properly and hygienically??!!!

Unfriendly, and you wait forever. Guests who complain are more likely to be served.

We ordered from McDonald's twice and both times waited two hours for delivery.

Staff unfortunately incompetent and unwilling to be customer-friendly! Service 0 stars! Order was poorly processed. Fries were cold and soggy. The McChicken Classic was okay. The Royal TS hamburger was inedible because the meat was extremely dry! Nuggets were okay. The complaint was handled completely inappropriately.

I ordered, and they didn't even have my order on the screen, I mean, TF. I stood there for 30 minutes until they gave me something. At least I got a drink. Never coming back!!!

Burgers freshly prepared, tasty and fast at the McDrive

The man, who is around 25 to 30 years old and rather dark, looks more Oriental or Indian. He wears blue glasses. He wasn't particularly cooperative when I pointed out that my order, which was supposed to be brought to the table after I paid for it, hadn't been brought. I don't think it's acceptable that I have to pay for my order, which was an ice cream, and then it's left there, and I have to pick it up there, and it's already melted.

I can't really say I'd miss all these fast-food joints like KFC, killer thing ;) etc. if... And everyone should be aware that all this fast-food is absolute garbage, and a "Big Mac," for example, doesn't even come close to the nutritional value of a homemade burger. Nevertheless, the place is always clean, the food is always fresh, and the crew rotates like a dream during peak hours. On weekends, I think they even work until 4 a.m. Great 👍🏼. Still, for a long life, folks, eat healthy and cook more of your own meals, take care of yourselves. 😉

The burger and fries were completely cold, and the large fries were only half full. Ordered via McDelivery. Very disappointing...

We visit this branch regularly, but unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly in recent years. The restrooms are dirty, and the food is often not fresh: fries are stale, so we've had to ask for new ones several times, and the burgers are reheated. Furthermore, communication with the employees is sometimes difficult, as they hardly speak German. This was my last visit!

Catastrophic conditions! We unfortunately cannot recommend this McDonald's for hygiene reasons. During our visit, an employee vomited right next to the food counter at the Drive-In counter and then returned to the kitchen without any apparent hygiene measures. This was very shocking for us, and we threw away our order for safety reasons. We would have expected a much better hygiene policy from a restaurant in this chain.

I don't even eat in the cesspool, but your drivers parking on the street is truly the least smart thing I've ever seen. I don't know, some license plate. In the middle of Frankfurter Straße... P.S. Even making negative comments more difficult doesn't stop them, and next time, as a taxpayer, I'll call the police.

We wanted to order a quick meal at the McDrive today. It was busy, so we expected a bit of a wait. However, we didn't expect an hour and a half in a fast-food restaurant. We waited 45 minutes alone at the order counter without a single word being spoken to us. We had a standard order for two adults and a child. Several people behind us received their food and moved on. Meanwhile, we were still waiting for half of our order. When we went inside to ask why this was happening, no one was there to speak to us. Our order wasn't quite right, either. For example, instead of shaken fries, we got regular fries. I also felt sick after the burger. All in all, it was truly awful.

My son enjoyed it. Since we only went to the drive-thru, I can't comment on the restaurant. It was very littered outside.

Here, you always wait forever at the drive-thru for a McDonald's. Otherwise, it's standard, typical crowd for this part of Cologne.

The entire store looks extremely dirty. The floor is sticky, and old trays with leftover food are everywhere, both inside and outside. Some of the terminals are broken. In the McCafé area, there are old rags on the counter, the floor is dirty, and old donuts are lying in the display. Table service isn't working, and the restrooms are in a completely unsanitary state. Very disappointing.

If I could, I would give it 0 stars. Disastrous service and cleanliness, broken air conditioning, and inquiries/complaints were simply ignored. I left the restaurant as quickly as possible. Urgent action is needed!! How can McDonald's Germany tolerate such conditions in its restaurants?

I ordered today via Lieferando, and the milkshake was simply "forgotten" and a piece of strawberry cake was delivered instead. Immediately afterward, I called McDonald's, and the woman on the phone was so rude and very provocative. I insisted on my milkshake and that it be delivered later, but the woman wouldn't even let me finish. She wanted to really compete with me on the phone and argue with me. Then she simply hung up. After waiting for hours, I called again, and a man answered, and he knows how to treat customers properly. He was understanding, remained very matter-of-fact, and apologized several times. I will get a refund for the milkshake. But I definitely won't order from here again.

Lure with offers but only 1 x per app selectable

On July 9, 2025, I ordered a fish menu and plant-based nuggets at your branch at Frankfurter Str. 236, 51065 Cologne – for religious reasons. The fish burger was served with only half a piece of cheese, which the staff said was "normal." Instead of the plant-based nuggets, I initially received chicken nuggets in plant-based packaging. After complaining, I was given the correct nuggets, but they were of significantly poor quality – dry, discolored, and barely edible. The staff simply responded to my complaint by stating that they were plant-based nuggets – without any further apology or solution.

The last store. You wait for hours at Mac Drive, and then things get forgotten or delivered incorrectly. Everyone is completely overwhelmed, and there are far too few staff.

A cappuccino with oat milk that I ordered was made with regular milk. Between ordering and receiving the drink, I spoke to two employees myself to ensure that it was correct. I also spoke directly to the employee who prepared my drink. Ignorance

4 hairs in my burger, never again disgusting

I was at this branch today around 1:10 a.m., as I often am, and wanted to order a cappuccino. The answer: "They don't have it, just regular coffee." This is incomprehensible to me, as I easily got a cappuccino here last night and again last week at a similar time (1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., respectively). Honestly, it seems as if the employees simply didn't feel like using or cleaning the machine. This unfortunately fits with a similar experience last week: An employee made us a cappuccino, but barely frothed the milk and simply handed us the cup. Only after I specifically asked for the manager was the drink prepared correctly. As a regular customer, I'm truly disappointed – especially when it's less busy at night, when service should at least be reliable and accurate. It's also happened before that someone working at the drive-thru took the wrong amount and I specifically asked for the receipt. And when I asked him about it, he admitted he'd given the wrong receipt because he misunderstood me. So I thought to myself, why don't you ask again, or if you notice it, why don't you correct it afterward? Because he probably figured she wouldn't notice or she wouldn't want the receipt anyway. The same employee, who's mostly there at night, also once refused to give me my change. I had to ask another employee about it. He was kind enough to give it to me.

It's happened several times now that I've ordered my coffee with oat milk, and it was completely ignored and I was given cow's milk. Or the caramel latte I ordered didn't contain any caramel at all, even though I specifically asked. So, I was blatantly lied to. I find it a real shame how carelessly these orders are handled, especially because people with allergies can be seriously harmed.

If there's something to take away, always look! Half of it is often forgotten here.

Typical McDonald's. The food is either very sweet or greasy. But it's okay for the price. Ordering at the vending machine is annoyingly slow. The staff is friendly and tries very hard.

The restaurant is standard like 100 others. It's clean. What has nothing to do with the branch is the fact that the Fleischtaler is getting smaller and smaller. The Big Mac now costs over 6 euros and is just a touch larger than the Double Cheeseburger. Everything tastes good, but the price/performance ratio doesn't fit.

Meat on burger dry, tomatoes not ripe, the 🍔 very dry throughout, sauce only on one side. Staff not too nice..

My friend handed in the note and still nothing came after 30 minutes... When asked, they said the note had not been handed in and the number simply does not exist. Orders are very mixed up, employees are friendly but extremely overwhelmed, almost every order has errors. Selected Happy Meal gift the wrong one, it is simply wrapped up. We had ordered burgers and they were completely wrong, one was missing bacon, the next had pork instead of chicken. The Sprite only tastes like water.

I was forced by the employees to pack my things myself because their "kiosk" wasn't working properly and our take-away order was now for us to eat here... I've never experienced anything so unfriendly...

So the food doesn't need to be explained. But what is very inappropriate is the behavior of the employees. While we were waiting, we noticed how an employee in the kitchen was amused by not washing his hands and still preparing the food, the employee who was supposed to pack our burgers had a pop in her nose right in front of us and then wanted to pack our burgers... There was rubbish everywhere in the corridors, in the kitchen (as far as we could see) there were cardboard boxes on the floor, there was rubbish everywhere there too... so all in all we suddenly lost our appetite for burgers!

Absolute disaster. There wasn't much going on, but all the ordering terminals were still occupied because people didn't listen and just blocked. No pressure from the staff. You probably don't want to get anything done. Time is money and my time is too valuable to wait for people like that.

Slowest McDonald's I've been to in all of Europe. No organization at the back, people are constantly shouting "It's not finished, it has to be done!" McDonald's is a fast food restaurant and needs to be as fast as possible. Waiting time for me: 18 minutes

Delivery service: The experience with the delivery service is frustrating. After almost an hour of waiting, my order was canceled at the last minute. If the items you ordered are not available, please cancel the order in time and do not mark it as “in preparation” in the app. This wasted my time and I had to rush to find something else before everything closed. It has happened several times that whenever I got something to take away, a few things were missing. Of course, they are also people and mistakes can happen, but if it happens often, I start to believe that the customers there are being deliberately deceived. Today it was too much for me and I called the branch. The employee was just rude and said there was nothing he could do. Next time I'm there I'll talk to the branch manager.

The worst McDonald's of all time. The store was overcrowded because an apparently new employee (who could barely speak German) was left alone while the manager or supervisors said I had to eat something too. There was rubbish everywhere in the restaurant and outside. While the McCafe area was cordoned off and cleaned by someone else. We then had to wait almost 45 minutes until our order was ready, which was wrong, cold and old because other people were given preferential treatment. (Cologne, Frankfurterstrasse in Buchheim)

Fast service, so far everyone has always been really nice, if something is missing you get the right product straight away, no really long waiting times, mostly clean.

Save yourself the trip here. Cold fries that are already stacked at the back to save time and work, cold nuggets. Wrong drink (which has happened several times). Burgers are always given incorrectly and distributed randomly as it appears.

I travel almost all over North Rhine-Westphalia and was a regular customer there because of the convenient location, but as I've noticed lately they're not only unfriendly but also provocatively unfriendly. Maybe it's because you're underpaid for the salary, you might as well go collect bottles.

20 minutes before the end, I ordered the mc smart menu and what do I get, cold, unpalatable food.
